I don't do a.m. TV, because I can't really stand any of these so called hosts...so full of themselves...have not heard anything about Harriet's visit either....with all the more important news from Ft Hood, she could get bumped from the lineup.

It would be an inspiring, patriotic event to air, though...in the light of the tragedy at Ft Hood
yep Margy, that site has been down all week..I didn't bother reporting it here, because I know very few people even watch it, and those of us that do, know it has not been on....I wrote to an address about the status of that nest, but got no response.
I was up late watching the a recording of the presentation of the Mark Twain award to Bill Cosby on ETA - now that was a fun show! ☺

I love those PBS Shows! So the cable box challenge was worth it to get the extra two channels back !

They might have had to shorten the time due to the extensive coverage they gave to the Ft Hood tragedy earlier.

well i thought that too, paula, but they sure wasted time on some other segments....its just me, I hate these am shows...I watch one hour of TV during the daytime...Days of Our Lives, which have been watching for most of its 44 years...didn't watch it for about 6 years at one time, and them got hooked into it again, and it is a pain in the neck to watch sometimes...

Just a quick hello, and gotta get back to homework. Was so tired last night, I fell asleep after dinner! Will be glad when next week is over! Things look a lot better after a good night's sleep, though.
Absolutely horrified about the shootings at Ft. Hood! Can't imagine what made that guy snap, since he's never been deployed. Prayers for all the families involved, for sure.
Asking for prayers for the test tonight--and for the homework! Normally it would be due a week from today, but a bunch of people have turned homework in really late, so he's wanting it turned in tonight instead. Hope I make it!

from what I have heard about the shooting and don't know if this is a fact, because they did report the guy was dead...he shouting "allah is good" before he started the rampage, so, pretty much knew his frame of mind at that point..surely MTBR

Margy, Washington County schools have not had Veteran's Day off for years. They are having a Veteran's Day assembly at her school today, they do every year.
Did the eagle ever appear on the Today show, I rarely watch those morning shows. The mention of Kathie Lee is enough to make me run from tv screaming.
And I loved Sesame Street, as a kid I watched it, and my kid grew up with and loved it. Haven't seen it since the 80's.
Off to get some things accomplished..busy time here- 8 days til the start of the 'cutting of the greens'...

More prayers needed. Tom's mom, Granny Riffe, has fallen. They are going to fly her either to Bristol or Roanoke. She has a broken arm and possibly a broken hip. She is on the rescue squad and they are going to land a helicopter and fly her out instead of taking her to one of the hospitals around there. We will keep you updated on this! Life can change on a dime!

that is the link for Project feeder watch conducted by Cornell.f(sorry, lost my cheat sheet on how to do the blue links) It gives you all the details on how to count the birds at your feeders and when on the website(you get a package in the mail too) There is a $15 reg. fee and it starts on Nov. 14 and goes to April 9.
OR you can go to ebird.org and count too. I do that as well. No charge for that one. On the homepage scroll down to where it has the article "e bird is for everyone"

Saw Harriet! Can not believe I had the TV on for over an hour to see those few seconds! I did get right up to our TV and had a fantastic close up of her. She is something else with her bad feather day! What a great bird!
Norma...had bisquits and sausage this morning. It was yummy, but no homemade bread!
Going to work on Jacob's book again today. Hope to finish it and get it to Office Depot to be laminated and bound.

Mits we have got to keep the girls up on Sesame Street with the wildlife this year.
I'm sure they do Ceil! They ask that you don't eliminate ANY of the birds you see just because they are common or you think it won't matter. In face they ask you to check a box to that effect when you submit your data!
