ALCOA BANDING: Wednesday - November 4, 2009 - between 9 - 10AM Australian EDST
This translates to: Tuesday, November 3, 2009 between 5 - 6PM Eastern Standard Time Tuesday, November 3, 2009 between 4 - 5PM Central Standard Time Tuesday, November 3, 2009 between 3 - 4PM Mountain Standard Time Tuesday, November 3, 2009 between 2 - 3PM Pacific Standard Time Most European countries would be: Tuesday, November 3, 2009 between 11PM - 12AM
Shirley, did doc say it was bursitis? I've had that really badly twice. No fun! Pain may (probably will!) be worse tomorrow after the effect of the anesthetic part of the injection wears off, but in a couple of days you will feel SO much better!
Mits - I was too late to see any of the animals on the Asia Trail except our loveable pandas. I do read comments you know - those fishing cars zoomed right out of there! Love Ya!
Bedford, VA news (where Sharon and Thelma now live): lay-offs at D-Day Museum. And the reason the museum is there? Because that town lost the most soldiers of any US town in the D-Day invasion. Interesting, huh?
Tourism decreases, but they don't know if it's just seasonal or not. Said they may have to make tours by apptmt. only in order to limit need for staff.
Lynn, I was trying to answer your question about the bursitis when George caused a blog CAT-astrophe by walking across the keyboard and shutting down the computer. It is not the first time he has done this. After I came home one day to find something really strange on my computer, Will said there have been efforts to set up programs to protect computers from “cat typing.” I doubt there is one to prevent cat shut down. The doctor did mention bursitis and also showed me a spur on my shoulder visible in the x-ray. He did say that I might have soreness when the pain medication wears off. He said that I could take Aleve or the prescription medication he gave me, and that is quite possible that the prescription med is less expensive, which I think it is, at $4.00. He gave me the name of a physical therapy place that is between home and work, so I called. Of course, the initial appointment will cause me to miss work. It is frustrating when I try to avoid missing work by making an appointment late in the day, still have to miss time, and then get told that if I am only going to take off part of a day, I will need to find someone to cover for me because they can’t get a sub for a part of a day. Maybe they will get one of the permanent subs. I will see. If it is on “A” day, I only have five very well-behaved students, but if it is “B” day, I have a roomful of very lively students. I could send my “A” day kids down to someone else’s room with an assignment and they would be fine.
I will be looking for one of those fishing cars. Wonder if we could get a stimulus program to finance buying one?
Jo, you're sounding good...I was wondering, could Mr. Jo add to your RED SHIRT Collection during a trip to his favorite shopping place? That's where I have gotten most of mine, including another one last night ☺
Oh, I wish I was going for an appointment to feel "mushy"! Actually my back is getting better. Really taking it easy and I want to get up and go!!! Just finished mowing. Was actually mulching leaves, not much grass to mow. Told Jack I need a bumper sticker for the mower "I brake for pecans!" lol Shut down mower, got off and picked up 5 pecans. Silly!!!! Mowing is one thing I can do and not strain my back. Can not edge or blow. Jack will have to do that.
Think now I am going to start on Jacob's Albuquerque book.
Margy, just looked at your pictures from Wanda and Gene's shop. Prettu scary stuff. I know you and James had fun. I would love to have been able to take Hunter there.
step away from the crock-pot, Jo, and don't lift that lid....every time you left the lid it adds 15 minutes extra of cooking time.....just forgetabout it!!!!!
My new friend from here, Annette, went to the oncologist today. They are going to remove the cancer and put her intestines back together. Not spread anywhere else and no chemo is necessary. God is so good!

Thanks, Hedgie, Mits. I just sent her a message on FaceBook, but there's no sign she's been there since last week.
I'll go see if she has emailed my AOL address.

and the reason for the lay-offs is?????
Tourism decreases, but they don't know if it's just seasonal or not. Said they may have to make tours by apptmt. only in order to limit need for staff.

Lynn, I hope your appointment goes well.
Shirley - Hope you are on the road to recovery!
Lynn - OPEN WIDE ! Thinking of you !
Wish we would hear how Mattie is feeling. Nothing so far on FB that I can find.
It's really tough waiting and wanting to know how all our people with illness and challenges are getting along
Jo, you're sounding good...I was wondering, could Mr. Jo add to your RED SHIRT Collection during a trip to his favorite shopping place? That's where I have gotten most of mine, including another one last night ☺
I thought I was part of a pretty big family before, but I really feel that way NOW
okay, my turn, going for that therapeutic massage, after which I will be total mush for awhile...
Be good to yourselves, everyone, and I hope the doctors are doing the same for you !
Come back Margy feeling mushhhhhhyyyyy
I'll tell hubby to go for a "red shirt
