Another bull showed up this morning. Both his antlers are intact and they are a size bigger (probably a year older) than the bull in the previous post. He didn’t get anything to eat this morning but he did reappear this evening.
Learned Wed. at work that the mother-in-law of our former Park Dir. & Div. Chief was fatally injured in a car accident on Mon. afternoon. I know that family well, and the daughter's 3 sons went to school w/our GS who we saw yesterday. Funeral Sat.
Good "Red Friday" or "Black Friday" morning to all! I choose Red! Missed the shuttle landing - thankful it was successful. It is so thrilling to see those touchdowns!
Thinking of you Dana and know that you are strong. We are here for you!
Lynn - the Events shows me that Aaron's birthday is Saturday. I just didn't realize it couldn't be seen on the Home Wall by everyone. He's the second oldest grandchild - big 3 0 !
Loretta, so sorry about your friend. Tragic, for sure.
Weather has run the gamut here this morning....sun and blue sky to rain showers and wind. MArkedly colder with that wind blowing. Unfortuantely, it IS time to fire u the woodstove....will do that after lunch.
Pook is going tobe kept busy AND poor if her herd keeps growing!
Paula are you home or at work? Suz had off today... I called her last night after 8:00 and first thing I asked was how late do stay up - and she said she could stay up as late as 9:00!
Carolyn and I are heading to CharlesTown this evening....Christie's bell choir is ringing at the Christmas Tree lighting downtown. Carolyn has never heard them play, so she is excited. Will grab a bite out on our way...sure will need to bundle up!

Both their grandkids and her son and his friends have had this MISERABLE bug that's going around. EEEEEWWWWWW--how can she want to spend 10 hours driving in a car???!!!! Prayers that they decide to stay home!!!! Gotta run--will be back later, for sure. Have a great RED Friday! (I refuse to call it BLACK!) Love you guys! :o]

You too Magpie! Trying to work some. Work has been kinda spotty with the holidays and all that. Trying to make up slow times, but my heart ain't in it! Can't stop eating long enough to get anything done!!!
Jo it said that he pulled out of his driveway and hit a fire hydrant and then a tree and his injuries are serious. Hope he is okay. You never know from second to second.
Tiger was treated and released w/ facial injuries. No air bag deployment so going under 33 mph they said. No alcohol involved. Funny how serious changes so fast to treated and released! Oh, well, glad he's okay.
Gotta finish getting ready.....gotta pick eldest upa t 5. See all y'all tonight sometime. Good luck to you 'eeeer fans.

I've had Gene's Beans....! They are awesome...thought I had a picture of the dish but I don't..
Good Evening Eagle Pals. Clouds too heavy for ISS tonight here for me :( Saw some snow flurries. Going to check on the WVU-Pitt Game... back in a few xo ☺
Well, at first I was going to Conowingo tomorrow (Sat), then we changed it to Sunday...now it's back to Saturday. So I will probably make an early night of it tonight...going to Conowingo tomorrow...leaving around 7-7:30...probably stay most of the day...
Kids are in bed. Laurel is reading and Jack is reading and watching the STARS on TV. Thought I would just check in.
Laurel and I went to see New Moon today. We really enjoyed it, but we have read the books. Think you have to read them to really understand what is going on.
Tomorrow morning she is going home. Leaving the boys with us. We are going to Dallas to spend the day with Michael and family. She and Joey are going to a wedding and reception. We are taking the boys home Sunday afternoon.
Nilla (Janet Kolb) went out to eat with Dana & her mom this evening. Paper should have obit in tomorrow
Dana will be having a service for Ed at Rosedale on Sunday evening here in Martinsburg... He will be cremated and have a small burial service at a later date...We had a nice visit for hours... Her moms a hoot too... She is doing fairly good just alot to take care of right now... Pray to give her strength at this time..
Anyone available to attend Sun service please come.. Probably 7 pm but you'll need to check the Obituary in the paper tomorrow. Dana needs our support. I sure will give you any more info as I get it.
WHOo HOoo for the Mountaineers! Norma should be shaking those pom poms big time. Sure hope WVU can hold Pitt back! It's 4th qtr and about 5 min to go - anything could happen!
Yes, Margy. It has been a fun week and it continues through Sunday. Have a few weeks to go and we will repeat it at Christmas. Laurel loves to come home and just relax. She works so hard that it is fun for her to come home and be the daughter again. lol And, we certainly enjoy it as well.
lol The boys have been sleeping this time in the living room. We have two guest bedrooms, but they chose to sleep of the sofa/bed without sheets. They have their sleeping bags on top of the mattress. Silly boys!
Did You Know...... Invasive species thriving in places they don't belong in our country alone number 50,000, w/ $150 billion damage each year. A Burmese python can grow to 20 feet in the Everglades, and can lay 100 eggs every 3 months. SCARY!
Yep, came home to a nice warm house....got fire built back up and getting toasty. Program was great except for wind blowing music pages for the musicians! I was hooded and scarfed and Ugged and gloved, and stood behind courthouse pillar which blocked wind pretty well. Didn't really get too cold! Ate dinner at IHOP and had more pumpkin pancakes!
Got a nice thank you letter from the SD Ornithology Union for my contribution to them in Debs' honor. No word yet from BOP,NW (Janie). I'm sure she received it okay, tho'.
Lynn, I have not heard from Janie either. I am sure we will in time. Opened up facebook tonight. And, you know how facebook puts a friends face up and say you have not contacted them for a while...write on their wall. Well, tonight Deb's picture went up. Gave me a funny feeling.
In Idaho, a lab was seen trotting down a street with a still-wrapped turkey in his mouth! Yep, he was a retriever! No word on where he found or stole the bird!!!
Oh, Lolly, how disconcerting that would be. I still haven't deleted her from my email or address list. Guess it is that time. Can't imagine deleting her from Friends list on FB---that would be way too hard.
Wind has been bad enough that I ran over two limbs in driveway............hope wind stops tomorrow so I can hopefully finish up leaves for last time this year.

Good Morning/Afternoon, Everyone!
Need to make this visit a quick one--Hubby's antsy. Loretta, so sorry to hear of the loss of your former Park Director's mother-in-law. Prayers for her family, and for you! ((Hugs)), too.
Need to get showered quickly. We've already been to Hubby's sister's house. Supposed to babysit the bulldogs this weekend. Got there, and no house key. Rang the bell a few times, and SIL came to the door! They hadn't left yet because she was violently ill all night with vomiting and diarrhea!
YUUUUUUUCCCKKK!!!!! They're supposed to drive a rental car all the way to Frisco. I hope they decide NOT to go--what if she gets sick again? Both their grandkids and her son and his friends have had this MISERABLE bug that's going around. EEEEEWWWWWW--how can she want to spend 10 hours driving in a car???!!!! Prayers that they decide to stay home!!!! Gotta run--will be back later, for sure. Have a great RED Friday! (I refuse to call it BLACK!) Love you guys! :o]

Lynn, it is soooo cold and windy, wish you would stay in your car and observe your little Bell Ringer!
Watching the National Dog Show that I recorded yesterday....BEAUTIFUL Neopolitan Mastiff! If only I had a bigger house....what a lovely dog. They said owners have a towel in every room to mop up the drools!!!! NO DOUBT!

margy it may not be in for a while if they will not be doing anything until the first part of December.

So, 4 visits today? Awesome!
Got a lot done at work today, but everyone I called was off! Including some major businesses! WOOF!
Lynne- Love your Santa Eagle! ♥
Paula, love your new avatar. Where do you find them??
Good evening!
Have been mostly relaxing today. Worked hard all day yesterday and then went to dinner at Tom's brother's. I was really tired today.
Built a fire in the fireplace last night for the first time this year. Still need to order some firewood.
Shirley, when do your guests arrive or have they already?
Jo, my guests arrived yesterday and left today. Rus is still here. His girlfriend, Rebecca, will come back tomorrow night for Hunter's birthday dinner.
The other guest, Jason, is a food writer. Jennifer, the hostess last night for Thanksgiving, did not know that there was a food critic at her dinner until it was over. But he said he enjoyed the dinner. I thought it was very good! Hope Jennifer wasn't too unnerved. He was very polite, and helped me fix breakfast this morning. I don't think he has had too many country Thanksgiving dinners. He grew up in New York City.
Paula that is a cute avatar. Did not know what it was a first.
While we were at Deb's Memorial luncheon, Lori Olivieri asked for the receipe for Gene's Beans. I had forgotten that I promised I'd SPILL THE BEANS on his receipe. It has a lot of ingredients and takes a while to prepare. There is enough for any ARMY, (remember he was Mess Sgt. for 15 years:) You can easily reduce the amount of ingredients for a lesser amount.
********************************
GENE'S BEANS
2 cans 40oz Great Northern Beans

4 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp. Tabasco Sauce (or less)
1 Tbsp. Seasoned Salt
2 tsp. Dry Mustard
1 Tbsp. Liquid Smoke
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
2 Lbs. Smoked Sausage...chopped
3 cups V-8 Juice

Mix all ingredients together
Slow Bake in a 275-300° Oven
for 3 hours.
May be served over corn chips
My Thoughts and prayers are with Dana and her family at this most difficult time
I saw a nice story on CNN about the Christmas tree people from Shepherdstown. First time they did not mention Shepherdstown, but the second time they did.
Diann - I snagged my avatar from a picture that was posted on another forum!
Got the cleaning bug tonight...going to have some turkey leftovers first, and then hit it!
Shirley, Gene and I were food critics, as an innocent looking couple, for a number of years. It was kinda fun, but then there were too many meals that we had eat and had to spend a good deal of time making a report on the food we ate, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the restrooms...had to remember the name of the waitress and manager and what kind of service we got. Had to take note of the condition of the parking lot, the dumpster, etc.
We were doing this 3 and 4 times a week. Some were out of town. If I told you who our employer was, I'd have to kill you;)
Secretive munching - Wanda?
Paula if you get too energetic you just might put up your Christmas tree!
I've been listening to some Christmas
music and I love it!
Be Back Later This Evening.........
Thanks for the recipe, Wanda. It sounds like enough for an army!
I've had Gene's Beans....!
They are awesome...thought I had a picture of the dish but I don't..
Good Evening Eagle Pals.

Hey Norma, just found out my neighbors kid goes to WVU...so he's a Mountaineer! He left today to go back to school to watch the game.
Stopping by to say good night.
Will see you tomorrow. I have been really tired tonight. Still much to do this weekend.
Have been watching television with Rus. Will is home now, so they can visit, and I can sleep.
See you tomorrow.
Sounds great Paula. Hope you see many many eagles!
Night, Shirley!
Anyone available to attend Sun service
please come.. Probably 7 pm but you'll need to check the Obituary in the paper tomorrow. Dana needs our support. I sure will give you any more info as I get it.

Margy, I'll bet Norma's pom-poms are falling apart by now!
Silly boys!
Just like camping out, Lolly...only in:)
It would be way cool if Norma could pop and celebrate !
and Yay for the Beavers...
Sounds wonderful Lolly....just

Welcome Home Lynn...hope the evening was beautiful, and hope you get warm very soon.
Hi Lynn - thanks for the weather update. I have been hearing the wind all evening! I hope your wood stove is putting out the heat for you!
Lolly - I love that comfy feeling when children and grandchildren come home and an overnight. Seems pretty long ago for me but I really can feel it!
Did You Know......
Invasive species thriving in places they don't belong in our country alone number 50,000, w/ $150 billion damage each year.
A Burmese python can grow to 20 feet in the Everglades, and can lay 100 eggs every 3 months. SCARY!
Paula, hope you have a great viewing opportunity tomorrow!
No one ever commented on my likely eagle sighting yesterday....:(
Glad that you got that info about Ed, Jo. Thanks. I'll be there. Hope others will join me.
Yeah, and they are predicting the pythons spreading throughout the lower states. That's when I move north!!!
While you are having cold weather, we are sitting here with the house open. Laurel and Joey heard coyotes last night as they had their window open,
Yep, came home to a nice warm house....got fire built back up and getting toasty.
My BOP check hasn't gone through the bank yet... Address I had was good but maybe Janie hasn't decided on the project!
Lynn, I have not heard from Janie either. I am sure we will in time. Opened up facebook tonight. And, you know how facebook puts a friends face up and say you have not contacted them for a while...write on their wall. Well, tonight Deb's picture went up. Gave me a funny feeling.
Congrats to Bluefield gals on their Beavers' win! Hope they do well in Wheeling! And also to all Mountaineer fans on the squeak-by win!
Lolly, have fun with your boys and their "camping"!
I had Gene's beans, too---they are very good!!
News almost over---then heading for tub. Peaceful rest for all turning in before I check back.
Wind..oh how I hate wind.. nite all
LOL, Lynn, sounds like you were wrapped like Ralphie! Sorry I missed your post on your eagle sighting! Good for you!
I am going to wrap to stay warm, but still function! Was checking settings on my camera...heading to bed now, catch ya'll late tomorrow.
Nite and Hugs to all ♥
