I have a squirrel that just arrived to the suet feeder. That will be emptied out rather quickly I am sure! Nope, moved on, must not like that kind of suet!
The cam pic at BWO is just beautiful this morning, with the flowers in the background and an eagle on either side of the platform. Still have at least one hummer here! Off to cut flowers.
Good TU morning Everyone! Sunny, but chilly down by the riverside. So far here at Park, I've only seen my little buddy, Chippy, out and about collecting seeds. He ran right in front of my feet to go to his den doorway. Missed any AM cam eagles. Sure hope the remove the ugly orange graphic from our Still.

Good COLD AM----37 here early--only 40 at 8...brrrr. I am in the Hughes penalty box...too much cam viewing yesterday along with attachments in email and then having to re-download AVG Security.....so everything is SO slow. Can't open my email at all. Argh. Will see what happens when I try to post this.
Happy to learn that eagles have been visiting nest.
Arrrgggghhhh!!! Two boys dared to come to my class without their essay drafts. Excuse . . . "I could not think of a thesis statement, so I just did not bring my paper." These kids are supposed to get college credit for this class. They have much to learn. I expect to do a little hand-holding at this point, but I am ready to break their fingers.
Shirley, remember when piano teacher would smack fingers with a ruler---that smarts! Probably considered child abuse now, but sounds like yours need to be whacked in the noggin!
Oh, Deb....too cold here for me now; can't imagine 20's yet or snow!
Yeah, and so would finger-breaking, Lynn. I just want them to be ready for the likes of Professor Judie. I am sure she would not be happy with such a lame excuse, either.
Grrrr....so frustrating....at least I can still post my comments here, but everytime I hit publish I'm afraid I'm going to freeze up....still can't open emails or cams.
Hello all! Well, at our site we do not have good wifi, so I am at the office in the community room. Just getting on to tell you why I will not be on often. Weather is cold and cloudy, but not windy. Tomorrow is iffy, but Thursday and Friday look good and those are the special shapes days..
Jacob is well. He still has a cough, but he is feeling great and eating well. He beat me at three games of UNO this morning. The brat! lol
Last time I looked...it is Jack that is with me, not Gene. Hey, Wanda is my friend, I would not steal Gene from her!
We did, Jim! Jo had posted earlier. Sounds like some progress being made. Sure hope they take special precautions with visitors with all this crazy flu stuff.
I sent a email to the webmaster at NCTC about the annoying logo, who do you think the webmaster is there? I have never received an acknowledgement of my emails to them, but am trying again, just to see if they respond.
Hi, Helen, Jo, and Loretta, Jumping in to say hello, and happy Tuesday. Have been really working hard on homework, AND trying to get the house cleaned up. Daughter and family are coming to visit 10/15-10/24! Housework has been on the back burner since I went back to school, so now must either dynamite and start over, or put a match to it. This place is definitely NOT kidproofed for a 3 yr old! Must get far enough ahead on schoolwork that I can take a week off of school, if at all possible. I am weary! Hope everyone is OK; haven't been able to really catch up on the blog much. Honda update: After a few back-and-forth phone calls, the Honda dealership is giving us a 75% discount, a 3 year warranty on the new transmission--AND they're throwing in a new battery, because ours is needing replacement. Thank God!! We're mighty happy with that; thanks SO much for your prayers about it! They certainly work! Must go try to find some inspiration in the 'fridge for lunch. Will be mighty glad to get my car back on Thursday! Haven't got much to work with...maybe in the freezer...Hope to be back later tonight for some conversation. Miss talking to you guys! Oh--haven't been able to reach my friend, Alice, who has family in Samoa. Will keep trying, and hope & pray all's well with her family. You guys take care, and I'll be back later. :o]
This Friday morning, Oct 9th, at approximately 4:30 am PDT, NASA's LCROSS spacecraft and its Centaur booster rocket will plunge one after another into a shadowed crater near the Moon's south pole. The spectacular double-impact will be shown live on NASA TV from the point of view of the LCROSS spacecraft.
Good evening. Got thrown offline earlier and just now finally back on...things are still slow. Glad to hear that A-M and Bill and Sandy are safely home in Ohio. Poor A-M should stay there awhile before heading back to CA, especially if it's going to take 4 planes to get home!
Andy, so glad the Honda people decided to treat you right. Bet you are really excited about family coming home! Don't knock yourself out---the 3 y.o. will undo all of your housework efforts. It will be a nice break from school for you if you can do it.
I had a nice little talk "to" Myrtle today. Told her to have a good winter and to remember where home is earlier next year! Bet she understood every word, right? Just have a feeling that today might be the last visit.
Also saw a nice family of 5 wrens---fledglings look bigger than mom--think she's working too hard feeding them all!
I saw the balloon accident on CNN. Guy fell out. Really awful looking, but it seems he was not badly hurt.
Have been up far too late the past two evenings and have a full day tomorrow. Have to meet with my supervisor and discuss my goals for the year. I emailed them to her.
Big test for the seniors . . . 100 questions.
Good night. Going to crawl into bed and watch dancing. May fall asleep before it is over.
Ha! Shirley, I do NOT want those students. I had a horrible day. First exam for the freshman and I would like to engage in multiple homicides. Just cannot believe how ill prepared they are to take responsibility.
So, will catch up on comments tomorrow. Too frustrated tonight.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others.
In case you do fall asleep, Shirley---heard today that Tom Delay had to drop out because of his feet fractures...guess they will announce it soon. Sleeo well and have a good say tomorrow.
I watched what I could of the game at work between calls, then get home and not on dish. Grrrr! I had to watch the trailers on ESPN news to get updates.
I suppose everyone is in bed. I lucked out and got on with a strong signal.
Had a great day today. We went to Taos, had lunch, shopped, and went to the Taos Pueblo. You can google Taos Pueblo and see where we were. Jacob was fascinated that the houses had dirt floors.
Tomorrow we are going to the Sante Fe children's museum and in the evening going to Albuquerque for the first time. Hope to see the balloon glo. The balloons are tethered but they fire them up and glo in the dark. Kids can also collect cards from the different balloons. It is fun, so hope the weather is good.

HEY, LADIES...we can call off the missing husband alert! Gene came home yesterday...spent most of today at the VA Hospital being Xrayed (foot and fingers). They are presuming gout or rheumatoid arthritis until bloodwork shows otherwise. That's what happens when you leave home without me. They don't call me Wanda the Witch for nothing!
He was given Tylenol/Codeine for pain and some prednisone preparation to take away the swelling. Glad he had it checked out, three ways to Sunday!
I think I will rest well tonight, knowing Gene will be in less pain.
