Wanda, it looks like a meat wrapper package to me. I haven't read back on the comments yet today to see if they figured it out. Paula has a video of it on her blog from when it came into the nest yesterday.

I have a sleeping bear on my cam, assume it is Mei. Bear is all alone and they zoom in on it.
Speaking of bears, Snowy the Bear is on the Snowman cam. I wonder if they named that bear on the cam page.

the den that Mei is in is called the birthing den, because that is where she delivered Tai almost 4 yrs ago, in that exact spot
I wish Hidey would move a little to the left before falling asleep!!

I'm sure they will be fine without us, Jo!! We are all mother hens....just want so bad for Mei to have another cub, and praying that Hidey stays safe and thrives and lives a long eagle life. The fact that we will never know for sure makes it a bittersweet rearing, such as it is, but then it really is best that we don't know!
With all of that profound pondering, I will say goodnight to my dear fowl friends. Prayers for all, esp. Mits and Lolly.

Good morning GA Girl! For the moment, just the moment, it is not raining. Had a thunderstorm here in Bluefield this morning. Hidey is soaked to the bone, bless her heart. Looks like the rain has stopped in Shepherdstown for the moment too. We could sure use some sunshine. Our yard looks like a hay field!

hey Norma. yep rain, rain, rain next two days and nights with thunderstorms. we have pine trees. So far so good with those. I think we always lose one during a heavy storm
