Tomorrow I am off to Sioux Falls to help a friend who is moving sort stuff. She has lived where she is for 18 years and has accumulated too much stuff. It won't be strenuous work, so that is good. Sunday Mary and I are hoping to go birding, but waiting to see if her mom is coming with the rest of the family tomorrow.
The 2009 eruption of Redoubt continues. Seismicity at the volcano has dropped over the past 48 hours, though it remains elevated. This change does not negate the possibility of an explosive eruption over the coming days.

LW Eagles: Lake Washington Eaglecam
Update May 7, 2009A recent spring storm has disabled the eaglecam and we are working with all of our Lake Washington eagle cam partners to bring the camera on-line as soon as possible. We believe the eagle nest and two newly hatched eaglets are doing fine. The large nest-tree is intact and it was most likely a power surge that has damaged some electrical equipment. We will bring you new updates on the eagles and the camera system as soon as possible.
AND From NBG Update - The T-1 line which transmits the Eagle Cam image to the Internet is down, part of a larger outage in this part of the United States. We will have camera back online as soon as possible.
Our nest should be getting a late evening snack soon!

The color on your photo is perfect, Deb. I took a lot of pictures today but color on many picture very disappointing. I will get them posted a little later on.
I do believe there is another turtle shell in the nest, Hidey just moved it around harder to see now.

Evening time at Duke Farms. I do think those chicks could have had more food than they got.
When a eaglet reaches six weeks old an eaglets beak and talcons are almost adult-sized. So Hidey has already reached that point.

Great success on my shopping spree. Great sale at Kohl's and got some very nice dishes....8 settings...got 4 in Sage green and 4 in Pine green...very complimentary. Got some matching placemats, too.
At Bed, Bath and Beyond good sale on Yankee candles....got 3 of them!
I had 38 new emails, and haven't even looked at Yahoo yet.

I've been waiting for the nearby farm animals to be at the fence when I exit the development.....there are new calves that I'd really like to get some shots of.

Just saw a June Bug on the basement screen door.....doesn't he know it's not June yet? LOL!
June bugs are the worst, there is no bug creepier to me, except for big, black spiders. Gross, I am not a bug person.

I found a dead June Bug on the porch this morning...
We ate at Casa del Sol in Hagerstown (Salem Ave. at 81 interchange). I really like that restaurant. It was the special soup of the day....I should have bought some extra, but no way to keep it cold while we shopped. Maybe next time.

Good evening all. We are at Cedar Lakes and it rained all evening. Talked to Andrew and they said a tornado touched down in Rocky Gap, Virginia, which is right on the other side of East River Mountain. He said lightening lit up the sky constantly for about 10 minutes. Glad it is only raining here.

Wanda - the last time I saw a pile of them, it was in April, on Delmar Orchard Rd. Have not seen them since, houses cover all that ground now. Also the last time I was a rose-breasted grosbeak around here, same place, same time.
