Siiiigh. Am I the only one getting a little worried? I can't get anything done for stopping by the 'puter to check and see if Hidey has returned. The adult in the nest seems concerned, too...or maybe I'm just projecting a bit. =)
Yeah, too bad it's not a weekday, Steve isn't around to look for us. I still believe Hidey is fine, just working up the courage to fly back to nest. Those first few flights are always a bit precarious. Drink one for me, Lolly- If you lived closer I'd come sit in your beautiful garden.
Good Night Eagle Friends and Eagle Family, I am headed to the 911 Salt Mines...maybe little Eaglet will sack out in the nest and still be there in the morning when I get home
I've been watching and following DF since March and started following Virginia since the beginning of April sometime...Watching them grow up is so beautiful..i've been fortunate to be able to watch both of them from 6am till bedtime every day....i probably have 200 pictures and am going to get some blown up and make a collage... mom's been calling out once in awhile for her and I can tell she is looking/waiting for her...come home sweety!! you need to eat!!
When you say virgin g&t, that means you don't add the tonic, right.... I should probably not drink right now, fell down about an hour ago, and I was sober.
Whoever asked a while ago if anybody saw a shadow -- I did but figured I was hallucinating or just wishful thinking.
Do you all remember last June when we were at the nest and one of the fledglings had to make multiple attempts to get back up to the nest? That was several days after they had fledged.
yes Lolly diet is ok in a pinch, but it doesn't seem to have the fizz I like....no more for me, have only eaten a sandwich today and I don't need to fall down again....hope you are ok Megan
I'll survive, caught my foot on floating row cover as I was watering, and fell down , cut my knee and hand, but not too bad. You know how a little while after you fall, everything you landed on starts to ache...that's where I am right now, came in to get aspirin.
Jack says it is feeling good out right now, so I am heading out. My brunch was a big success today. We had fun. Now my house is clean and I have nothing to do. Wahoo!
Poor Megan...hope it gets better fast....I'll drink a G&T for you--don't have any limes, tho'! But still good anyway! Or a Bloody Mary would taste good, too! But after to wait awhile..eldest gd is here w/ her uncle, playing step'n'fetchit while he finishes up soffits.
Megan, wish ish you could come and sit with me in the yard. Everyone is so kind....received lots of compliments today. But, you know, I am just doing what I want to do.
Lolly, I was thinking on those same lines...Megan is so tired, she probably needs a G&T or something like that;) Might make her walk straighter. Tee Hee
I would love to be able to do that, maybe pull a travel trailer for everyone to sleep in. We can sleep only 6 in the EE. Would love to visit the next trip out to Vegas (if costume show is still there).
Both adults on the nest. I am done painting for the day, got off to a slow start waiting for the water to dry off. I just have a little priming left to do, on the roof. I stepped onto the west facing side and it was hot! Too hot for bare feet. I will get that done first tomorrow. No scraping tomorrow, should go much faster.
It happened early this morning, before most of us were up. We hope the camera at NCTC has it, but since it is a weekend we aren't sure if there is anyone there to save it.
We don't know whether Hidey flew off or whether he is just branching and maybe afraid to come down...has not been seen since before dawn. Momster Wanda went to nest this am to see whqat she could see....could not see Hidey anywhere in the tree, but foliage much more dense than it was when we were there last weekend.
Well, Sissy's husband Tom, came back from the fishing trip a couple of weeks ago, found a tick on his butt, now he has Lyme disease. Daggone, this is sucking!
Well, thank goodness Tom is getting treatment right away! Sissy probably recognized symptoms and scooted him and his butt straight off to the Dr., right Shar?
Thx for the update. Was watching earlier & thought I heard sounds of young eaglet but didn't sound too close. Guess poor thing is gonna have to get up some nerve to fly back to nest. Hope it works out for Hidey.
Actually, Tom told her today that he had a round place around where he took the tick off and she told him to head to the ER. I guess it is like a bull's eye.
Lynn, that one is new to me. My daughter sent it to me yesterday and I was still laughing when we went to the restaurant. By that time, GeeGee had read it too and she also was still laughing about it at the restaurant. SHE IS AN 88 YEAR OLD DRIVER;)
Sharon, how funny is that for Tom to have a BULL'S EYE on his butt? He will be fine, having caught it before it spread. Dustin had the bull's eye and a rash all over his body. He apparently had it for a long time before anyone realized it. He never complains, so no one knew until he got very sick.
Dana, it looked to me as if Belle and Lib both brought food into the nest, one fish and one mammal and then Lib brought in another fish, and proceeded to it all.
Thanks Wanda cause I was wondering if they had left the nest with any of the food. If so they could have been feeding Hidey someplace else since he/she wouldn't come back to nest yet. So all of that food was ALL eaten by Liberty and Belle. It sounds like from what you are saying.
Hiley was in the nest after midnight last night. However he was perched on ythe East edge pruning his feathers. More than likely get ready for his early take off this morning.
Dana, I saw Belle struggling with the mammal, she pulled it over to the 2 o'clock position and I had to leave for a few minutes...when I came back, it was gone. I would like to believe she is feeding it to Hidey:)
Returned from Mass - beautiful flying evening weather out there! Go Hidey Go
I may be going over to Sheps'twn Market tomorrow & if I make it there I also will try to go check out the Sycamore Tree.. I am remembering that we used to admire Lib & Belle being able to come back into the MT nest after all eaglets of the season had fledged.
Jo, I just loved being at the nest this morning. It was so peaceful and calm...the birds were singing their heads off and the sky was as clear as a tear. I could have stayed there all day, but when the farmers or caretakers came, I thought I'd better leave before I wore out my welcome...after all, I WAS at the BARN!
If you end up returning to the tree tomorrow, the same limb that you saw Belle on, check the "v" above where she was sitting. To me, in that picture you took it looked like something was up there in that V. Probably 10 to 15' above where Belle was sitting.
Wanda the Bluebirds have it. Just waiting to see how many possible 3 again for this year. I left it up to God finches or bluebirds. Finches had it then I went out one day and by george the bluebirds had it and still do.
Wanda I am glad the farmers or caretakers were there and know why you were there. Maybe they will keep an eye out for Hidey!
Hidey had been sleeping in a perched position on the edge of the nest... so I'm thinking that if s/he is now on a branch - s/he is going to be very comfy!
NCTC/FWS video is said to always be working - It isn't the same as what is on the internet for us. They should just need to edit the tape and give us Momsters/Dadsters what we want to see! The famous Take Off!
hey, if i'm in the shower & that little bugger crashes on down into the ol' home-sweet-home, that's alright by me. but i hear ya on the vigil. fer sure.
Remember from Wanda's visit to nest this am. She said "Two of the farmers came up to me and said they had been watching him fly up to and on top of the camera, but he wasn't on the camera this time. I saw an unmoving dark spot on the limb near the camera and that would be my guess..."
So we know he has been on the cam before as we had thought.
It sure must be Hidey - Lib & Belle have lived in that nest for years and I don't remember them playing with the mic! Lisa - Go sing your karaoke with friends! If Hidey comes into the nest tonight - Then I feel certain s/he was just branching today. MTBR
I am really getting irritated....I have not been able to get the live cam up since this morning...argh!!!! At least shadows are gone now so pic is clearer on still cam....I can't imagine that I am seeing things now...until dark!
The eaglette stretched at 4:50 Am and the wind lifted it out of the right side of the nest. It appeared very surprised and was unable to turn around and return to the platform. I was just walking out the door and was unable to post the news. I assumed more than one person witnessed the event but it appears not.
I'm sure the youngster is very close and possibly on a lower branch just to the right....out of camera range
Oh, this is so funny! Here we sit, listening and watching....Hidey, we are loosing patience!!!!! COME ON DOWN THIS INSTANT! (Teacher...stern voice! as well as "the look!")

lett cropped up in a chat somewhere & think it stuck to me, probably short for eaglet; like 'nestorating' - means adding to or rearranging the nest branches, etc; flappersize - wing exercises. and so on. it's stuff that gets made up by some very creative chatters.
well thanks for that info Colonel Sanders...not sure what to make of it if Hidey wasn't preparing herself for flight but she certainly had hovered and did lots of wingersizing prior to that event. I trust she landed somewhere hopefully close by safely and is now on the camera I hope I hope but NOT disconnecting us...
Oh Dana - I just now realized what you were saying about the Gorilla Tape being used instead of Duck Tape because it was stronger! Yepper! I do believe it is!
Really too bad you didn't have time to post that eyewitness account this morning, Colonel!! Oh, ok, Safire....that's a new one on us! We've never used the term lett here before.
Dana, The time would depend where you were located. I remember the 6am but will need to see from where that person was... Colonel could be 2 time zones over .... Just trying to get a good handle on the time in order to tell NCTC/FWS where to search on their tape.......
I am an art teacher in Fayette County. My students and I have been watching Hidey daily. What a WONDERFUL lesson in pride and honor. Thank you. I check on Hidey every night before retiring, she was sound asleep around 11 pm in the middle of her nest.
Rhiannon said... I saw her this morning around 6am..she was hopping around the nest...i saw her jump by the cam area..i turned my back and she was gone..i thought at first she jumped up on the limb where she perches and we can't see her...been way to long with no sound from her or site..can't believe i missed her fly off as i was watching the cam except for that minute or two....wtg Virginia!! (that's what i call her)....Be safe in your journey and I will keep watching for you to return!! Your beautiful and I love and miss you already sweety!!!
Carrit-I am an art teacher in Fayetteville, WV. I teach at 4 schools, throughout the growing of Hidey, my students and I have watched. What an honor it is to observe this beauty. The students were so proud. I check it every night before I go to bed. Hidey was in the middle of her nest sleeping at 11 pm. We will miss her. Thank you for such a WONDERFUL learning experience.

See....I told you Fayette County was watching Hidey!!! Thanks for confirming that "Carritt" .... yes....I hear her knocking too...come one down, Hidey!!
Us bunch of oldies have had 'Bird Flew' and then we get 'MT Nest Syndrome' for a very long time! But we will survive!!! We Will Survive! The osprey eggs will be hatching soon!
BUT we didn't get a new panda cub to help us through the cold winter months! But hopefully the MOOSE will return! And we always have turkeys, squirrels, raccoons and deer in the PA WOODS!
I just found this site about a week ago and I have been glued to the computer. I am at work tonight and am able to have it on - so I don't miss anything. This has been an awesome experience and I love reading your commments. I think I have "bird flew" too! I think Hidey is out way past curfew - I feel like an anxious parent waiting for an overdue teen!
Hi I am very concerned about our little Hidey she is usually very vocal and adament about her feeding times. I and my coworkers do here in a hospital in Minnesota that she is ok and mom and dad have located her and feeding her. I know alot of little birds are on the ground here in our state being fed by parents every day, so hopefully Hidey will show up soon in the nest or mom and dad are feeding her on the ground. God is with her somewhere that I know for sure.
I haven't been commenting here (well, once) but have been watching Hidey for many weeks now. This empty nest syndrome is tough! I am figuring most of you are old pros at watching this nest, and now that some of you sound worried, I am worried. Is this typical to fly off and not come back into the nest for this long on the first day? I hear all the thumping on the Web cam too...what other critters would possibly be up there - is it most likely one of the family?
I would love to believe that is Hidey but she hasn't eaten all day and she is never quiet when she is hungry or food is near. I was on line shortly after 7:30 CST this morning and she was not in the nest and no sound of Hidey calling for food. Thats got to be Belle or Liberty up there.....but God knows I hope I am wrong.
Faye, there are many online here now who have watched this next for years, Like Sharon, Glo, Dana, etc.
I pray we get to see our Hidey one more time to at least say "farewell, you're always in our hearts, we love you and please let us see you back here in 5 years with your partner and eaglets in this nest." :)
Yes that could be one of the parents up there at the cam. When Hidey was in the nest. We had heard this before. Some of us thinking it was one of the parents. You can be sure though that wherever Hidey is. One of the parents or both know. They will not let Hidey go starve. If they have too they will take food to Hidey.
I am another one who has been watching for weeks without saying anything. I almost feel like I know some of you regulars. I had been worried about the wind last night and the way Hidey was flying around, but I was still surprised when I looked at the nest this morning and it was empty.
Hidey can and will be fed fish or any prey while s/he is perched on a tree limb. Hidey will make an appearance - most likely in the daylight hours - We will be able to see that everything is well with our Eaglet! And yes - it may not be as early as tomorrow but hopefully soon.
Lori when Hidey reaches about 4 yrs. old. A eagle gets the within knowledge to fly back to area where born and start their own nest and get a mate. Usually within a 100 miles of the nesting area they were born in. Hidey will not use this nest it is Liberty and Belle. Unless something God forbid would happen to both of them. Then maybe an earlier offspring would use this nest.

Siiiigh. Am I the only one getting a little worried? I can't get anything done for stopping by the 'puter to check and see if Hidey has returned. The adult in the nest seems concerned, too...or maybe I'm just projecting a bit. =)
Can not believe the adult has been in the nest for so long. Trying to lure Hidey back to the nest?
Well, I am fretting a little bit myself but I am sure that Hidey is okay. I just wish we had a visual so we would know that for sure.
Well, come on over here Megan!! I have diet tonic. LOL And lots of lime.....and maybe put a little G in it this time. Just to celebrate!
I just wish Mom or Dad would quit looking around with a worried look on their face. LOL
Yeah, too bad it's not a weekday, Steve isn't around to look for us. I still believe Hidey is fine, just working up the courage to fly back to nest. Those first few flights are always a bit precarious.
Drink one for me, Lolly- If you lived closer I'd come sit in your beautiful garden.
well I have tried the diet tonic, and threw it out....yucky....I don't drink that often and I want the real thing when I do
Good Night Eagle Friends and Eagle Family, I am headed to the 911 Salt Mines...maybe little Eaglet will sack out in the nest and still be there in the morning when I get home
Best Wishes for a Great Evening, All.
Prayers, for all, Love and Peace ♥ xo
Megan I'd say I would have one for you, but if I had another, might fall off the balcony;)
My husband is wondering where dinner is. I told him I'll go to the kitchen after Hidey gets home.
it is a beautiful night here tonight, calm warm breeze and ocean is calm.....
geez, Tammy, poor guy might starve by then
I've been watching and following DF since March and started following Virginia since the beginning of April sometime...Watching them grow up is so beautiful..i've been fortunate to be able to watch both of them from 6am till bedtime every day....i probably have 200 pictures and am going to get some blown up and make a collage... mom's been calling out once in awhile for her and I can tell she is looking/waiting for her...come home sweety!! you need to eat!!
Well, dont drink another, Mits!! Don't want to loose you!
I drink diet all the time. While on the diet it has been virgin G&T's.
Mits, he won't starve, that is what they make Wendy's for.
:)
Parent chowing down in the nest. Bet Hidey is hungry!
Megan, did you hurt yourself?
yes Lolly diet is ok in a pinch, but it doesn't seem to have the fizz I like....no more for me, have only eaten a sandwich today and I don't need to fall down again....hope you are ok Megan
I'll survive, caught my foot on floating row cover as I was watering, and fell down , cut my knee and hand, but not too bad. You know how a little while after you fall, everything you landed on starts to ache...that's where I am right now, came in to get aspirin.
Wrong! Alcohol is fattening!
Yes, Megan.....injure yourself?
Oh, Megan! So sorry!!
yep, know the feeling, Megan
Rhinna, you do know this nest of Hidey's is in WVA, not Virginia, right:)?
Now this is where the gin might make it all feel better!
At least nothing is broken, and when I came in, kid got me band aids and neosporin... I taught her well.
Red Rover, Red Rover let Hidey come over.
Hidey, Hidey come out from where ever you are!!
You'll have bruises tomorrow!
Jack says it is feeling good out right now, so I am heading out. My brunch was a big success today. We had fun. Now my house is clean and I have nothing to do. Wahoo!
BBL
Well, I added some vodka to my Vitamin water, it's a V&V - to dull the pain. I gotta go cut flowers. Hope that eaglet flies back in while I'm gone.

LOL Lynn, did you see that typo? I "wish ish" you could come over too.
Great Wanda! You are here! Time for a road trip to Lolly's for a G & T in the back yard. Would that not be the greatest!!!!!
I noticed that, Lolly, thought you might have had a G&T;)
That would be a ROCKIN trip, Lolly. LOL Yahoo!!
No, no drink yet, just typing with a Texas drawl.
I would be the happiest person ever to be able to have a bunch of you momsters sit out back with me. More fun!
LMBO!
I would love to be able to do that, maybe pull a travel trailer for everyone to sleep in. We can sleep only 6 in the EE.
Would love to visit the next trip out to Vegas (if costume show is still there).
I'm tired of waiting on Hidey to come and eat...I'm hungry too. BBL
Okay, can see it now. Your RV pulling a travel trailer. What a hoot! A rolling slumber party!
Well, I said I WAS going outside and I didn't......so guess I better do it now.
BBL
Anybody else hear that distant calling? Could that be Hidey?
It is 6:23pm.
Everyone in Fayette County, WV is wishing you well, little Hidey!!!!
The adult is keeping an eye out on something....she is looking all around!!
Drat! Susan Boyle didn't win "Britain's Got Talent"...she was 2nd. A group called Diversity won. Too bad. I'm sure Chrissy is disappointed, too.
Both parents in nest!!
Both adults are in the nest now...anyone watching????
Parent brought a fish!
Well, I sure would like to see Hidey coming in there with the parents.
Both adults are chowing down....come home, Hidey...you MUST be hungry!!!!
Hello, am new to this chat. Does anyone know when the lett flew off. Is there a recorded video of eaglet leaving nest.
There's not going to be any food left in the nest when Hidey finally comes home! Adult is really chowing down.
I think we all need a laugh or two right about now...go to my SMILES:):) BLOG and read about the 88 year old driver:)
It happened early this morning, before most of us were up. We hope the camera at NCTC has it, but since it is a weekend we aren't sure if there is anyone there to save it.

Well, Sissy's husband Tom, came back from the fishing trip a couple of weeks ago, found a tick on his butt, now he has Lyme disease. Daggone, this is sucking!
Deb, how do you climb a ladder barefoot???? Please be careful!!
Well, thank goodness Tom is getting treatment right away! Sissy probably recognized symptoms and scooted him and his butt straight off to the Dr., right Shar?
I climbed up in my flip flops, got on the roof and decided that wasn't a good idea. So I threw them to the ground. Tomorrow I will wear shoes. :)
Thx for the update. Was watching earlier & thought I heard sounds of young eaglet but didn't sound too close. Guess poor thing is gonna have to get up some nerve to fly back to nest. Hope it works out for Hidey.
Wonder if either parent knows where young one is.
Actually, Tom told her today that he had a round place around where he took the tick off and she told him to head to the ER. I guess it is like a bull's eye.
That's such a funny story, Wanda! Haven't seen it in a long time!
On the other hand maybe Hidey discovered the joys & freedom of flying & will come back when Hidey good & ready.
Ok..Hidey...the nest is empty now....fly back in....uh oh....spoke too soon....one of the adults just flew back!
Parent arrived and I thought I heard Hidey calling. Could be wishful thinking, though.
Parent left and then came right back. Wonder what they are doing?? Maybe trying to lure Hidey back in the nest?
That would be my guess, Sharon. Trying to show her how to do it, maybe??
That's seems to be what everyone is thinking....I wish how soon it works!!
Every time I see the wind move a branch or I see a shadow...I think it's Hidey!!! LOL
Hi to ALL in Eagleland and I'm back after a nice crab leg dinner ( : yummy
Lolly are you sure there wasn't any alcohol in that drink?
See by comments on this side need to look at other comments after I left. That Hidey hasn't landed back in nest yet.
Lynn, that one is new to me. My daughter sent it to me yesterday and I was still laughing when we went to the restaurant. By that time, GeeGee had read it too and she also was still laughing about it at the restaurant. SHE IS AN 88 YEAR OLD DRIVER;)
Oh my prayers for Tom --- Lyme disease not a good thing to have.
If Hidey doesn't come back tonight, I will go back to the tree tomorrow after Gene gets home. He has better eyes than I.
Maybe parents trying to show Hidey way back to nest.
Sounded like Hidey sneezing.
Was the whole fish and the whole mammal eaten or did a parent fly out of nest with some of it?
There sure seemed to be a lotta eatin' going on. Could be it was all et up.
Dana, it looked to me as if Belle and Lib both brought food into the nest, one fish and one mammal and then Lib brought in another fish, and proceeded to it all.
Belle may have left with the mammal, perhaps to feed Hidey, wherever that may be.

Bob Bird
I hear a lot of barking...
Both white dogs are barking at the gate to the drive for the house on the curve.
When I visit the nest they always bark but they are very nice dogs. The one always brings me a stick lol
Dana, I saw Belle struggling with the mammal, she pulled it over to the 2 o'clock position and I had to leave for a few minutes...when I came back, it was gone. I would like to believe she is feeding it to Hidey:)
Dana, have your finches fledged yet and are the bluebirds still hanging around?
Returned from Mass - beautiful flying evening weather out there! Go Hidey Go

Check out the barn owls on the Wild Watch site.... the 10 sec image update is best to view.

Wide view cam at Oklahoma has eaglet and then the adult is up above the nest
All nests on Hancock site are ok! Chirping away at Delta, Sleeping at Sidney & Hornby.
Dogs are restless this evening over by our nest. At least I know my speakers and sound at the site are working.
Welcome back Mema Jo ( :

The famous Take Off!
Someone just landed on the camera!
OK WHAT WAS THAT?
SOMETHING HIT THE CAM
PLEASE BE HIDEY
OH THAT WAS A HIT ON THE CAM!!!!
I hear that, Gabriela! Somebody's up there.
COME ON DOWN HIDEY
COME ON DOWN
WHOEVER YOU ARE
loud thud noise on top of camera
I think Hidey is close by! I heard that, Jo.
It could be Hidey on the camera branch!! Sounded like some fast flapping and not the most graceful of landings, LOL!!
ha ha well I had to reload the Blog had sort of given up seeing or hearing anything tonight so I am a wishful echo
I was just thinking the same thing, about not so graceful!
knock, knock!
hop on down, little one, if that's you.
that's you, isn't it, hidey. :)
LOL Anticipation!
I hope whatever it is doesn't
disconnect us.........
oh, seriously! hang in there, camera & mic.
i was just about to get in the shower--- going to sing karaoke with coworkers in a little bit. they know all about the baby eagle.
Yepper! Lisa I just don't know how to get down there!
Feels like am holding vigil.
hey, if i'm in the shower & that little bugger crashes on down into the ol' home-sweet-home, that's alright by me. but i hear ya on the vigil.
MTBR
Come on down Hidey! We know you are there!!!!!
Nice to hear Hidey so close to nest. Wonder what lett will do when it gets dark.
I am really getting irritated....I have not been able to get the live cam up since this morning...argh!!!! At least shadows are gone now so pic is clearer on still cam....I can't imagine that I am seeing things now...until dark!
From the deep voice of Boris our spider: "I've watched Hidey all day and he has been up in the Sycamore Tree on the branches. Never left the tree."
Dum tah dum dummmmmmmmmmmmm. We'll never know!
I hear ya about the 'vigil'!
Hidey likes playing "Hide & Seek" tee hee
Safire, who is lett???
Still no Hidey...
Jo maybe we should copy this blog so Suzanne can read it lol
Like watching your own leave & then sit & wait for return. If it takes too long yu start silently wondering 'come on, where are yu'.
Hidey, zat yu!
GET YOUR FEATHERED
FANNY DOWN HERE .... NOW
Heard that ( :
she's just sitting up there on top of the camera, and wiggling back & forth, thinking about jumpin' down. that's my bet.
feathered fanny -- ha! you said it!
Jo Nate said that gorilla tape was good. I think we can all say it is for sure.
I keep waiting for whoever it is to bend over and look into the camera.
How do you ladies do this??!!
I am new to this and I am a nervous nellie right now!
Oh, this is so funny! Here we sit, listening and watching....Hidey, we are loosing patience!!!!! COME ON DOWN THIS INSTANT! (Teacher...stern voice! as well as "the look!")
That's my guess too, ltl. Just making us all fret.

Really! We have a witness!
lett cropped up in a chat somewhere & think it stuck to me, probably short for eaglet; like 'nestorating' - means adding to or rearranging the nest branches, etc; flappersize - wing exercises. and so on. it's stuff that gets made up by some very creative chatters.
I just LOVE reading these blogs....you guys crack me up!!! I LOVE IT!!! Especially the "feathered fanny" one!!! Thanks!
well thanks for that info Colonel Sanders...not sure what to make of it if Hidey wasn't preparing herself for flight but she certainly had hovered and did lots of wingersizing prior to that event.
It just seems like it has to be Hidey on or near the mic. We have never had Lib or Belle land there that I know of.
Really too bad you didn't have time to post that eyewitness account this morning, Colonel!!
Oh, ok, Safire....that's a new one on us! We've never used the term lett here before.
well I sure wish she would plop right down on that nest about now :-)
Hidey tappiing on mic to say, 'am ok' just a little scared to move.
sorry hedgie - didn't mean to confuse anyone.
I've been watching closly but have yet to post in this blog. My opinion is she will fledge this weekend and be back in the nest reating soon
Lib and Belle have been fooling around with the mic all season..
Hidey, you little poop shooter!!! Get down here so your mommies and daddies can get some rest! I am going nuts here!
Someone said on earlier blog that they seen Hidey in nest at 6AM this morning!
Dana, The time would depend where you were located. I remember the 6am but will need to see from where that person was... Colonel could be 2 time zones over .... Just trying to get a good handle on the time in order to tell NCTC/FWS where to search on their tape.......
I'm in the midwest so I saw her CST right before I walked out the door for work
I am an art teacher in Fayette County. My students and I have been watching Hidey daily. What a WONDERFUL lesson in pride and honor. Thank you.
I check on Hidey every night before retiring, she was sound asleep around 11 pm in the middle of her nest.

I live in Oak Hill, and work in Fayetteville!! Small world!!!
Don't forget Wyoming County has been watching too!!!
sure that is one of the parents near the cam, hidey would probably be making a noise. parents are usually very quiet when they are up in the nest.
moth flying around
well soon she could just climb down on the magical spider web
Hello Wyoming County!!!
Well, we have lots of new people on here tonight.
I hate to report it to you but my "bird flew" is getting worse and worse.
Mema Jo 1 hr behind for Col.Sanders so that could make it about the same time R is that person is EST time. They would be about same time.
Another good one, Eagle Eye Sharon....."Bird Flew" .... LOL
Sharon I have the same symptoms but there is a cure..hopefully we will find it soon LOL
ANNA - My motto is to
KEEP THE FAITH!
Hidey is on the top of the camera, just as the farmers/caretakers told me. Not to worry! Hear him?
That's not Woody Woodpecker;)
I think maybe Belle is trying to do Eagle camera telamessaging to tell us or someone to come help find Hidey...
Maybe that is Mom or Dad on the cam sending signals to Hidey. That the nest is still here waiting for you to drop down or fly in.
Hello Dana, Jo, Mits, Sharon, and all,
I just read that you have the Bird Flew, Sharon. Me too, bad!
Oh, my eaglet friends, I miss Hidey so much, but am so grateful to her for introducing me to you all.
Oh Wanda - glad you're here. Sorry I missed saying hello.
I hear the knocking, too.
Hi Lori....a new pandemic, Bird Flew! We all have it! Oh, no!
come in:)
Yes that could be one of the parents up there at the cam. When Hidey was in the nest. We had heard this before. Some of us thinking it was one of the parents.
You can be sure though that wherever Hidey is. One of the parents or both know. They will not let Hidey go starve. If they have too they will take food to Hidey.
not unusual she has not come back...she is still very young for a fledgling
I am another one who has been watching for weeks without saying anything. I almost feel like I know some of you regulars. I had been worried about the wind last night and the way Hidey was flying around, but I was still surprised when I looked at the nest this morning and it was empty.
Hi Lolly!
Sharon warned me about the Bird Flew! I've cried a few times looking at this empty nest.
Nice to have friends now.
Wanda, Dana, Glo you all still here?
Thank you, Dana.
Comforting words, a very good reminder of how Belle & Lib are looking out for Hidey now.
Keep those positive reminders coming!
