Sounds like a very nice dinner, Mits! You sure deserve it! Can't wait to hear update on Mei. Deb, so glad you had a fun weekend. Bet you are the good kind of tired! You have Survivor on, don't you?
this reminds me of last year, we did not get regular updates towards the end, and then found out she had been at baseline for a week, and the only reason they kept doing the watches is because she was still exhibiting sings of a pregnancy, which she would do even if she was not pregnant
I got through e-mails, read a little blog, but not all. I missed the first part of Survivor, so I am just letting the taping go on.
We did have a good time, saw an Osprey nest on Bismark Lake. We hiked up on a rock outcropping across the lake from the nest. There isn't any way to get close to it, so we enjoyed the view.
I can't wait to watch it, Wanda, but I didn't want to start in the middle. I am off to check for ticks, gross. I found one earlier today, but none yesterday.
Spidey's web is breaking up and you can at least see Hidey there in the egg well. It is getting colder - 53° with areas of frost after midnight. Lows in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Interesting to see the one eaglet in the BWE nest with its head tucked under wing. 55° there - staying warm
I know that I am tired, just panicked! I thought I lost all my pictures from Saturday. Hmm, different date than Friday. I just had to click on the file for the 16th. Duh!
We had the most beautiful day today. Cool in the shade, felt good in the sun, just beautiful. Unusual weather for us, could easily be much warmer and humid. I just puttered around outside.
Our weather was windy and rather cold. Felt good driving with windows half way down but sun was not shinning even though the skies were clear blue with some fluffy clouds.
Goodnight Deb, Dana, Lolly, Jo, Paula....and anyone else signing off or coming on! Hope no one loses any plants tonight! Thanks and praise to the Big Guy for all our blessings.
For those of you who have taped Survivor, I think you will be happy with the winner...I was;) Next season, the show will be in beautiful Samoa in the South Pacific!
For some reason the Osprey at Finney's (land) looks uncomfortable, has its mouth open, tongue out a lot and eyes squinched up like it needs some water!
Hi, Magpie, you still there? Thought I'd give you guys a news report-- we're rockin' & rolling out here in So. Calif. again. Had an earthquake of about 4.7-5.0 at 8:39 pm Pacific time. It was centered 10 miles SW of downtown Los Angeles. Lasted about 15 seconds. There have been 2 aftershocks, the biggest a 3.1-- not bad. Only major damage mentioned on the local news was to a drapery store in a strip mall in Long Beach; store windows all broke. People calling the news station reported broken collector plates and pictures falling off the walls, but here in Anaheim, our house moved, but nothing fell or broke. We're about 35 miles from L.A...Glad to see Hidey sleeping peacefully at about 2:00. Guess it's pretty cold there tonight-- hope you try to lay low, out of the wind! ...Update: they're saying on the news that most cell phones are not working in our area because they're so jammed up... Sure am glad that GeeGee is OK! That must've been pretty scary! Thank God for watching out for all of us, for sure!
Whoa, Ms Bookworm, this is serious stuff out your way! I'm glad to be up to receive the news. My brother lived near Oakland in 1989 when The Big One Hit....he and his family loved California but they couldn't get out quite fast enough after all that. I am glad you are okay!
I have a nephew in Los Angeles, another on Sonoma, another niece not to far from LA and two other nephews out there...sure they will have some news to share on all this.
Ms Bookworm: People without cell phone service...that sounds like a bigger disaster then Collector plates falling off the walls. Hope all will be okay for you and your loved ones, and any and all of our Momsters people out that way too.....
Heard another loud clunk and a rustle. Hidey's sleeping thru this one...Let's see, Magpie, I think Santa Monica is about 12 or 15 miles southwest of UCLA, if you know where that is. It's north of Venice Beach. I'm not too worried about these smaller shakers-- they relieve some of the pressure that's been building up in the fault. Better a smaller shake every now and then, than a HUGE one because too much pressure has built up, and it lets loose! The cell phone jam up is why I don't want to get rid of my land line-- it's because everybody and their cousin has to call someone to either let them know they're OK, or talk about what just happened!
Jim, I forget where you are exactly, but I think I remember you being in the Inland Empire somewhere. Did you feel this quake? KCAL news said they felt it in San Diego and Corona. I think you're far enough away that it's nothing to worry about. Am I right?
Jim is in Santa Ana, Andrea. I just heard from my nephew and niece, Los Angeles and Santa Monica respectively, they are okay, niece felt the tremors and her infant daughter apparently did too and woke up - nephew okay too, no damage or anything. Sonoma nephew way far enough way...
Sleep tight, Magpie, and don't worry! Most of us out here have developed 'sea legs', or something similar. Gosh, I can remember living up north near Frisco when I was about 9 or 10. We had about 4 days of earthquakes so bad that if you tried to walk down our long hall, you bounced off opposite walls to get where you were going!
Well, I'm gonna try to get a couple hours of sleep now. Prayers for everyone in need of improved health, and thanks said for all our blessings! Catch you guys later... Nightey night, Hidey! :o]
Oh, oh. I just read some comments of concern about me in an earthquake..
I'm fine and I think I was driving to the market at the time. ... Didn't feel a thing. A lot of times in a car you won't relate jostling or rocking to an earthquake. :~)

Deb, so glad you had a fun weekend. Bet you are the good kind of tired! You have Survivor on, don't you?
Deb...have videos from yesterday on the em blog.
Ah, yes, dinner sounded good! I was too tired to cook, had dinner with Marie!
Wanda - glad GG is OK!

Thanks, Paula, I will check them out!
Sounds like a nice weekend away from it all, Deb.
Mits, it does sound familiar.
Hard to believe the BWE eaglets have fledged already...Guess Hidey and Norfolk are next.
Hey, Deb...Survivor is really good tonight!
So glad you are still able to go on your field trips, Deb.
I can't wait to watch it, Wanda, but I didn't want to start in the middle. I am off to check for ticks, gross. I found one earlier today, but none yesterday.
Well geez, that spiderweb is really annoying!
Wanda, I'm glad to hear GeeGee is okay.
Anxious to get your report on Mei
I hope she isn't faking because of all she seems to have been going through the past weeks.
What is the black object on the left of the nest? Anybody know?
Wanda, glad the accident wasn't worse and that GeeGee is okay!
Megan, Happy Anniversary!
Jo it just looks like the same old, same old , with Mei,still hoping for the best, but am prepared if it is a no go again this year.
shutting down for the night,,,good night everyone.

Wanda - I think it is just open blank space - you can see it around other parts of the nest........

Good night Mits Glad you had a nice evening!
Gee Gee's guardian angel was right over her shoulder!
Good evening! Tried to get on earlier but we had a computer problem.
Have not read through the blog. Anything?
Did you pick up the dogs yet DEB?
We had the most beautiful day today. Cool in the shade, felt good in the sun, just beautiful. Unusual weather for us, could easily be much warmer and humid.
I just puttered around outside.
Est 9-10 raccoons partying in the
PA woods.........
Hornby's smudged close up lens may not get cleaned until after eaglet fledges. They have opened the wide range cam with the clean lens.
No, Jo, the vets office isn't open for pick-up on Sundays.
Our weather was windy and rather cold.
Felt good driving with windows half way down but sun was not shinning even though the skies were clear blue with some fluffy clouds.
wish the spider would get off the center of the web!
Had to go read the blog. Needed to find out what happened to Gee Gee. Found it. Thankfully she did have an angel watching over her!
Finney Water looks like GLASS......
It is so still
That's funny, Jo! I was just there and thinking the same thing. Did you see the ferry?
No Ferry when I was there.... Not one ripple in the water......
Getting cooler here. Finished watching a movie about Ernest Hemingway. It was very very good.
I have had a busy day....
Going to call it quits....
Good Night All
Prayers for all our needs being said
Peace to you and yours
(((hugs))) ♥
Nite Jo! I did not have a very busy day, but I can not stop yawning. I am so sleepy!
Going to hit it here too. I'm beat.
Hugs to all ♥
Following out the door for a good nights sleep.
Prayers for ALL that need them.
I am beat, too. I watched a couple of Paula'a videos, but can't keep my eyes open.
Hidey is up and moving around the nest. I don't go to work until 9 tomorrow, so I can rest up good.
Night everyone.
Goodnight Deb, Dana, Lolly, Jo, Paula....and anyone else signing off or coming on! Hope no one loses any plants tonight! Thanks and praise to the Big Guy for all our blessings.

GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
If anyone is up and watching, there are some bears at the Snowman Cam.
Any Night Owls out there ?
I see two, maybe a parent and a cub
Our eaglet seems a little restless, the wind I guess and cool temperatures...needs a little blankie tonight !
Oh Brother: Hidey is jumping around on the nest and flapping his wings!
Osprey at Finland Water was just completely away from the nest for a few seconds, could not see any eggs but she is back anyway.
Okay, Hidey is trying to lie back down again. ☺
Also saw the Goshawk feeding THREE chicks at the Scottish nest.
Chirpy hungry little rascals. So cute ! Pure White !
Bears all gone at Snowman cam. Saw one adult and TWO cubs at last check.
For some reason the Osprey at Finney's (land) looks uncomfortable, has its mouth open, tongue out a lot and eyes squinched up like it needs some water!

Ospreys did a switch 20 mins ago at Finland Water....think Dad is on the nest now, seems anxious to switch places again!
It's time for the pillows for me, hope all are well.
Prayers of thankfulness that GeeGee is okay after her accident, bless her heart, what a trooper!
See you in the morning light.
xo ☺ ♥
Oh, yeah: Whoo Hoo ! on Jo's Nest visit Sunday ☺
Hmmm... there was some kind of loud clunk, and a rustling noise, and Hidey's awake and looking toward the camera...gonna go back to sleep now.
Movin' Jim
I trust you are far enough away from the earthquake activity?
Check in when you can...

I already closed out the live feed so I am not hearing those clunks at our nest....
I think I am going to check out the pillows again.
Thanks for the reporting, Andrea...
Nice to spend the night-time hours with you ! ☺
