Hey, Paula & Everyone! Went to another Ledos yesterday afternoon--another lady there also frequents our one that went Boom.Employees said they heard it will reopen in 6mos.(I think sooner) Instead of rebuilding, they are going to open in another existing store! Lowreeda orders again! ☺

Unfortunately, I have to blast off on Sat! 2 years in a row missing baby birds in WV!!!!Thinking I might see a bird in Greece, I finally ordered a replacement telephoto lens for the one that got stolen. I also needed the adapter ring to screw it onto the camera. Got lens----ring backordered! It is what it is!
Gotta get back down to that dryer--oh, my aching knees! ☺
My sister just ruined my Survivor surprise. Just as I finished saying I am to the last challenge she told me who won. I am not a happy camper and after Wanda did such a good job of keeping it a secret for me! Oh, well, I will have to see how it plays out anyway. :(

Wanda, I'll probably never get shots in my knees, unless I really end up going to Dr. about them --never even had them xrayed. They started cracking when I knelt down in church when I was about 12. Very embarrassing, but never hurt then.Did gymnastics at UMD--didn't hurt then either!Guess we pay for our thrills!

Oh dear, I am watching Loch of the Lowe's - one of the chicks seems to have died in the nest, and the other one is begging for a feeding right now... no food in sight, parent up on the branch.....third egg yet unhatched
Speed boats are whizzing past the nest at Finland....the bird has vacated the nest twice in the last few minutes....

I am new to watching the baby eagle, it is so cute. Just started watching yesterday. I noticed mom and dad don't seem to hang around much. Is this normal?
Thanks Magpie! He was my first bulldog I rescued. I may have to contact someone and try to get in on the trip to see Hidey this weekend before he flies the nest for good. I will miss that little baby so much.

Hi Aimeecat - Hidey is my first eaglet, but I've seen him for hours daily since he was two days old. There are a bunch of eagle experts who have been watching for years that I'm sure could tell you stories. But, Hidey's parents Liberty and Belle, have been with him the expected amounts for each phase of his development...in my very simple opinion. :)

Aimeecat: The parents are around, mostly out of sight a lot, but close by on nearby branches, but they make pretty freqent visits, just don't always stay too long these days. Others will explain it better, but it is a natural part of the rearing process to let the eaglet come into its own. They bring food, sometimes still feed the baby, rather, baby tries to steal it from their beaks...often they drop it and let Hidey hone his eating and feeding skills. Liberty and Belle are the BEST parents !

Back on again for a few Magpie...Had to get the youngins off to school. I am from Mason.....I did watch that spider spin the entire web, had a case of "up all nights". I am terrified of spiders so wouldn't you know the first time on a live cam and what do I see? lol....But can watch at this distance and was amazed...nature in WV at it's best! I love this little eaglet and am so glad was here to see him up close this am. I swear he knew we were watchin!
