Tomorrow I will probably go to Chattanooga to visit my brother who is having blood clot peoblems in his legs. About 2.5 hours each way. This is his third problem with clots. Don't know how serious it is yet but he might need some prayers
I changed my preferences on the eaglet momsters site- I could never see the pictures on that site in anyones posts. But-I changed it so they come to my email and I can see the pics. I know someone else had that isuue too.
I think it might have been Lolly that had that same issue...but we changed whomever it was to individual emails, but they still couldn't see the pics...I told them to check with their email provider.
Headed out to watch some news just in case I missed something exciting today. I am so THANKFUL that Geula came on & to hear she is safe! I pray that her family is.
I'm turning in. See you all tomorrow. Red, have a safe trip...have they talked about putting in filters to catch the clots so they can't move to his lungs? He's added to my prayer list. Jo, glad the eye is doing well! Margy, get yourself to bed! Blessings and prayers.
OMG Just made a new hot chocolate recipe for Jack and myself. It was like drinking melted chocolate. It is an Italian recipe that was published in the paper recently. It was unbelievable!!! Oh, and of coarse, no calories! ha!
Lolly: You did see where Deb popped on at 1:25 this morning, right? She was in CA and reports temps of 86 degrees. Hope she can pop in again, but she did say things were going to be right busy for the next fews.... Hot chocolate sounds good, you will probably have to post it..☺
Yes, I saw her post. Can not imagine a difference of 103 in temperatures. I imagine she will get on again late tonight....if so, DEB, we miss you. Have a great time!
I am heading for the shower and then bed. Nite all, sweet dreams!
Good morning Friends!! It is 19 here this morning, probably the high for today they say. Snowing, supposed to get 1-3" and school is on a 2 hour delay.
Good grief- coating of snow here, schools also on 2 hr delay, gonna be a headache for the high school, was to be last full day of semester, with finals in many subjects. 19 °here also... Hey Sissy:)
I tried to stay in bed this morning and just could not do it. Like to try to start early so I can finish early, though sometimes I start early and finish late!!
Good morning everyone. I'm probably NOT going to see my brother today as I thought last night. He is feeling lousy and dosen't feel like company yet. Guess he has been battling gout too. Maybe I'll go Saturday. Happy eagle watching.
Eagle flew off nest at Norfolk but you can see its shadow from a branch close by. Forget that, cam pic changed two Eagles on branches. Guess someone down is there is doing a MITS with the cam. ☺
That is what the news said. Although I confused because it a report I read on internet. It said it was the peanut butter sold in bulk to many places. The news says and showed the packs NOT TO EAT THEM.
That's just Bacon for Mason!! Hi Dana and Red- I have fried no bacon yet this morning, had to go out and clean off 2vehicles and Gh- and feed the birds, and help hubby get out the door-he actually has a job today and we had to bring all the glue and vinyl in last nite cause it was too cold to leave it in van. Daughter said she wasn't getting out of bed til much later-so it's just me and the dog, and he said he would like bacon, but he ain't getting any!
HA! No, I think we may give up on that front, called a different number yesterday, actually got a person, they took some info said they would be calling right back-never did... having a one day job may mess that up- not sure...
Exactly, Sissy:) The thing is, it's just hit or miss anymore with the housing industry. Time to find a new more reliable career, which is easier said than done in this economy.
Well Megan from just knowing you and him from years on the blog. You both are not ones to sit around. I pray something will come out of this GOOD for you BOTH.
Sissy true who can not work and live without income for a whole year. System messed up on both accounts.
Good Morning Everyone. See a little snow in the nest---guess I missed the early visit. They must be lumberjacks! ☺ Our friends in Paw Paw got 3" of snow. I'm gonna have to turn down volume--that wind is chilly!
Want to send good wishes for Red's brother & all others in need & safety for Geula. Friend of ours is traveling to Israel in Feb. I think I'd be afraid to go.
Funny story from Park on TU. Greg K., our naturalist called & was waterfowl hunting w/buds, south in VA. On Monday they shot a duck & an eagle came and snatched it out of the water before they could retrieve it! On Tu, they sent off some shots & the eagle appeared, so they sent some one real fast in boat to get their catch! Bird has their number!

Sexes are evidently very similar in the titmouse, as there's no mention in my bird guide & they don't show pics of each sex. I think the chickadees are the same way.
Thanks Norma and Loretta for info on Titmouse. I think you are right about that Loretta. Cause they are so close to the window. I can't find a difference in either. Might look for a washed out look like Norma suggested.
Norma email sent around also sent to Steve Chase for you.

Good morning all. Sharon you are right. Tian was doing a good job for a change, but a little to early for mating. I think he is practicing. Practice makes perfect. Red prayers for your brother.
It looks like you are enjoying a "wintry mix" in the Shepherdstown area.
We are still in for the hot, dry winds and high temps; although the wind did shift to on shore (SW) for a while last evening, and the humidity rose into the 30's.
Good morning Norma Actual temp is -20 wind chill is close to 40 below at times. so I am pretty much in and its sunny and so pretty outside til you open the door.
I had told Steve when I sent Norma's email. That we know it's not ours. They were both in nest this AM.
"Steve return a message: There is a nest down river from Harpers Ferry, maybe its from there. Both of our birds were perched together last night when I left."
It is not fit for man nor beast in the midwest today. Wow working on a book sounds like a pretty fun idea. But I would rather be outside with my camera. They woul dhall me off to the funny farm roday though in fact one friend has threatened to do so if I head anywhere near a Lock and dam and she finds out hmmmm.
DANA!----I just read some more about the TUFTED TITMOUSE----They (male & female) are almost identical----used to be our state bird---I swear I think the male has a bit brighter orange coloring!!-------
MORNIN' CEIL---MOVIN'JIM & LOLLY!!----I evidently have more snow than I thought---Just heard the snow plow in driveway!!----But we have a glorious sunny day!!!
Wishing you good news at your Dr. report---JO!!---love you!-----MEGAN -- wonderful news--MASON!!---RED---keeping you & your brother in my thoughts & prayers!!---PAULA---good thoughts for your Mother!!--DANA---didn't forget ED---still sending good wishes & prayers!!!
Norma I did answer your question aobut temps here. And I have decided on my new avatar. Taken a few days ago where I wish I could go today if it would get warmer by aobut 30 degrees. Ok time for tea and donuts and find some other project to keep me busy and inside.
Dr. just called about hubby's culture. No strep. no nothing grew. They are still concerned and are putting him on the Z pack. They are afraid if anything is there and missed it could turn into bacterial infection. He still has a terrible sore throat. No fever. Sometimes chills. No better in a week. They will be looking elsewhere. Hope he gets better so they don't go looking elsewhere. Thank you ALL for prayers for him. Please continue thank you.
THANKS LOLLY for sharing your NY photos with us!!---You must have had a glorious time!!---You appear to be a young Mom enjoying every minute with her handsome son!!---
Well Dana Glad Ed did not have positive strep. This years viruses seem to be really miserable kinds of things though. I hope he is behaving himself and doing his part to get well.
More chicken noodle soup is my suggestion.
OK enough blogging for me for now. Enjoy your morning everyone.
oh Norma thanks. Yes it does make brutal winters bearable. Well except for today. The eagles are there and i am in this house cause well I really have to stay in til tomorrow afternoon. Its killin me. :(. Especially since I just finished working for 2 days. I need out.
The fighting though I think with our young juvies has to do with the numbers that are here. There is lots of fishing but also lots of competition. Not sure if the migrating juvies have it any easier to get through the winter than those who stay close to their nest homes. But they are awesome and each juvie has a color pattern of its own. To me it makes them just as beautiufl as the adults just to see them change overtime to their mature bird look.
OK off to find something else to do to pass some time.
No Ed's appetite is not back...him behaving...this brings tears to my eyes. I wish he would go back to MISBEHAVING ! He has been a 108 yr old man since last Tuesday. It is like he has been drugged...overdosed with medication. He use to read for hours. No book ... hardly at night no tv..he sleeps and he sleeps. I wake him to get food and liquid into him. I WANT MY MISBEHAVING HUSBAND BACK !!!!!
Rest of Today Mostly cloudy. Isolated flurries early this morning...then a slight chance of snow showers this afternoon. Blustery with highs in the mid 20s. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 20 percent. » ZIP Code Detail Tonight Mostly cloudy in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 8 above. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind chill values as low as 6 below after midnight. Friday Mostly sunny. Highs around 18. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind chill values as low as 8 below in the morning. » ZIP Code Detail Friday Night Mostly clear. Cold with lows around 3 above. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Wind chill values as low as 7 below. AMEN:)
WHOA MEGAN!!----I hope you can keep those WINDS in your area!!---I hate the winds!!---snow is better--if I must chose!!---ho!---(DOUBT IF I WILL BE ASKED)----WOW! my sound is LOUD today!!!
Oh, Norma, you are so sweet and kind! Not so young anymore! But I do agree....I think my son is very handsome and the best son ever!!!
His birthday is Sunday. He turns 40....my baby! He was placed into my arms Jan. 30 at age of 12 days. Yes, he is adopted. The greatest experience in my life.
Good late morning, fowl friends. Been lurking in between doing some house work. Dana, sent you an email on yahoo...I couldn't open the eagle attachment! I sure hope those people know what they are doing, and that the eagle is okay. Hadn't heard that there was a nest at HF....how neat is that? Could it be any of our previous juvies?? (I know not this past years' group). We have an inch of snow...schools closed...as with most of the rest of you, I guess. 19° now, and wind is blowin'! Brrr... Glo, don't know how you stand your temps! Tea and donuts instead of coffee and doggie treats, huh? Bet Dex is HAPPY!! LOL!
Oh Hedgie Dex and I already braved our way across the street for the coffee and dog treats part way earlier this morning before the sun started to trick you into thinking it was warm out LOL. NAd yep tea and donuts were great. Now out to start the car for a few minutes even though it doesn't get to leave the garage today. For a picture of how Dex looks in survival mode see feature picture on Glo's Glimpses this morning LOL. He hates the booties but he can at least walk around and get across the street for dog treats in them.

Take care in your travels, Red.
What preference did you cancel & which one did you choose?
I changed it so the posts would come into my mailbox, I was just trying to look at them on the site.
Thanks for the reminder, Jo.
Glad to hear the good news about your eye!
I think it might have been Lolly that had that same issue...but we changed whomever it was to individual emails, but they still couldn't see the pics...I told them to check with their email provider.
Safe travels, Red:)

Hey Sissy:)
And I think this is the best it is gonna be today, too Megan.
All is quiet on the home front for now. Sharon came back home last night and I am so glad. I miss her bad when she ain't around!!
Looks like PA has a whole bunch of snow and it is still coming down.
I'm back up....
I think there is an eagle in the nest at Norfolk...
Hi floralgirl and Eagle-eye's Sissy.
☺
Just the thought of Eagles showing up on our Snowy Nest makes it impossible to go back to bed now.
You're right magpie, I see that beautiful white head!
Hello Margy... I could fall back asleep so easily..
I tried to stay in bed this morning and just could not do it. Like to try to start early so I can finish early, though sometimes I start early and finish late!!
Well, my sleep schedule is kinda goofed up right now.
Did you all see the pretty stuff in the nest at Lake Washington?
Eagle at Norfolk was pretty, wonder if it spent the night on the nest? I couldn't tell.
Suzanne made it safely to work, came through some hard snow, but it quit between Thurmont and Frederick.
xo
Glad that Sharon made it back to her Roost... ☺
Two eagles at BWE this morning.
Thankd for the hot tip, Sissy, I had forgotten to open that one up!
Maine is black but it shouldn't be, but I hear noises.
Sounds pretty windy at our nest..
see some snow blowing too.
RED If you check in before leaving for Chattanooga, Safe Travels, and Prayers for your brother.
I think someone is scraping the roads at NCTC !
I sure wonder sometimes where our juveniles from last season are.
I know magpie, I was thinking about that. They say they don't go that far from their nest. Maybe they are building one of their own close by!!
Good morning everyone. I'm probably NOT going to see my brother today as I thought last night. He is feeling lousy and dosen't feel like company yet. Guess he has been battling gout too. Maybe I'll go Saturday.
Happy eagle watching.
Well, school is closed here now. Mattie will be so happy!!
Sorry to hear about your brother Red. We are praying for him to heal fast.
Okay Red. Thanks for checking in. The prayers are on anyway....

Eagle at BWO
Megan so glad hubby has a job today..anything about unemployment yet?
HA! No, I think we may give up on that front, called a different number yesterday, actually got a person, they took some info said they would be calling right back-never did... having a one day job may mess that up- not sure...
That is definitely a catch-22 Megan. Darned if ya do and darned if ya don't.
Maybe it will lead to something really great, Megan, hope so.
Someone out there is going to recognize quality when they see it !
Hang in there. xo ♥
Exactly, Sissy:)
The thing is, it's just hit or miss anymore with the housing industry. Time to find a new more reliable career, which is easier said than done in this economy.
After Tom's last back surgery, we thought about him trying for disability but he would have to not work at all for a year or so and who can do that?
But, he is doing well now, thank God.
Here comes by Sis this morning!!
Well Megan from just knowing you and him from years on the blog. You both are not ones to sit around. I pray something will come out of this GOOD for you BOTH.

Good mroning! Looks like I missed the visits this morning. Maybe they will be back.
29 here this morning and not going to get much warmer, but no snow or ice.
Morning Ceil--she just lays there and that poor boy is every which way.
Good Morning Jim and Lolly.
Lolly how are you doing on your work for grandsons?
I plan to spend the day working on Zach's book. It is bright sun shiney here, even though it is cold.
See that Deb did not get on last night. Must have been too tired when she hit the sack.
Good morning Norma Actual temp is -20 wind chill is close to 40 below at times. so I am pretty much in and its sunny and so pretty outside til you open the door.
It is slow work and I was having a puzzling problem with the printer yesterday, so I did not get far. Must spend today working on it.
I had told Steve when I sent Norma's email. That we know it's not ours. They were both in nest this AM.

Jack just brought the paper in. Think I will go set up the laptop to monitor the nest as I read the paper.
Yell really loudly to get my attention if an eagle visits. :)
Have a GREAT DAY everyone and stay warm and cozy!!!
Just saw your post. Yes, thank goodness it is NOT one of our birds. I think I would get so terribly upset!!!!!!!

Enjoy your day everyone
Oh and remember the juvies trying to survive their first winter Its rough very rough and even if they do get that catch so many times it is stolen in a fight before they get it somewhere to eat it.
Dr. just called about hubby's culture. No strep. no nothing grew.
Is this Mei's pay back for when she won't leave Tian alone. With her playing and biting??
bbl something to eat
THANKS LOLLY for sharing your NY photos with us!!---You must have had a glorious time!!---You appear to be a young Mom enjoying every minute with her handsome son!!---
DANA!!---Does he have his appetite back yet?---Still sending my thought & prayers!!
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE.....
NATURENUT---LOVE your story about the DNR men v. EAGLE!!!---tell them they shouldn't mess with MOTHER NATURE!!! Would loved to have seen that!!!
GLO!----Your AVATAR is AWESOME!!---Can't even imagine seeing all those EAGLES!!---you & DEB are truly blessed----
Well Dana Glad Ed did not have positive strep. This years viruses seem to be really miserable kinds of things though. I hope he is behaving himself and doing his part to get well.
More chicken noodle soup is my suggestion.
OK enough blogging for me for now. Enjoy your morning everyone.
Howdy again, everybody:)
18° here now, sun in and out of the clouds, wind gusting from 10 to 21 mph- miserable out there.
oh Norma thanks.

DANA---Don't you think the sleep is good for him?---Might ask Dr.to see what he thinks----I have him in my thoughts & prayers!!!!
WHOA MEGAN!!----I hope you can keep those WINDS in your area!!---I hate the winds!!---snow is better--if I must chose!!---ho!---(DOUBT IF I WILL BE ASKED)----WOW! my sound is LOUD today!!!
Wow, Tian is dead after Mei Xiang this morning. Not giving her any break.
I just read LISA'S pic---on how EAGLES clean their beaks after eating!!----What would we do with you LISA!!---Thanks!
LOL!
Jim, we wouldn't mind a bit if you blew some of that wonderful warm air eastward!!!
Have made the rounds on all the cams...no action. Going to go eat a bite of breakfast. My coffee is gone gone! BBL
Wow, thanks, Dana...what a beautiful shot...I surely do hope that they can get a successful rescue. Wonder who is doing it??
There are two eagles at Lake Washington, did anyone mention that yet?
Glo, Dex looks like quite the fashion plate!!! Cutie!
THANKS MARGY....been watching it all a.m. and turned it off
LOLLY---You certainly have a wonderful son---so caring & thoughtful!!---You all must be proud!!----
Looks like we are headed for another split!
Glad you got a peek MITS before they bailed! Nice evergreen sprigs in that nest, came in after dark last night.
☺
Are you Zoo-ing it today? Or just staying HOME "enjoying" the cold?
Good Morning Hedgie, I missed you on my "first rounds" this morning. ☺
Been reading that book!
