It is good news, they got him in so fast and at the place they wanted. They were told he would be on a waiting list for a few weeks. I think his son being a neurosurgeon may have helped some.
Yes Hedgie, I really liked Canada (in the summer) We lived in a little town named Erin and drove about 30 miles to work. I worked about 10 miles NW of the Toronto Airport. Snowed a lot but they know how to remove it. In 11 years I never missed a day of work because of snow.
Hello.....back from zoo, rained most of the time really hard...only talked to 15 people, I left 15 mins early, the other voulunteer only stayed for a little over an hour and he flew the coop.
hmm, never have gotten that warning about not going to big rig Steve's' site, still get it when I go to Oregon eagle site and Sau St Marie to watch the ships come thru the locks
Cool, cam is back and it sounds like you guys saw some action in the nest. Thanks John and all of you at NCTC that keep the cam running, nasty day to work outside.
Red, doesn't surprize me...I think every country knows how to handle snow except the US!!! So glad so many got to see our eagles! Been watching pop-up while doing other things. And did some popping in and out of office myself while eating. Wind is starting and the ice is falling....NOISY!! Think I'm going to get a panda nap in before Jeopardy, if I can plug my ears..LOL!
The trucker is out on the road again, it looks snowy and the cars are zipping by. I always think that if a semi slows down, it must be time for everyone to slow down.
Great Video of the Hanky Panky, Paula Thanks so much ! Gotta hold myself back from saying anything "racey" about it...☺ Sure looks like he was trying to fuss with the nest a little for her...
Nice to read how everyone's days and views were going. Gotta to to pick up the Elephant Video next.
Saw in a catalog today, a very large Panda Body Pillow. Only $139 . They also had a couple of dog breeds and I think a Polar Bear.
College kid is on his way to school, will spend the night w/ a friend, then get up at 4am to go to Philly airport to catch the plane...he'll be back in 2 weeks and a day.
Okay - sounds good. I sure hope he calls often. Glad to hear you are feeling better, Paula. When IT hits, it does hit like a ton of bricks doesn't it? Amazing how that can happen.
Megan, I believe I earned an award for being stupid when I was ailing. I got on here and said a few stoopid things:) Hope you all didn't notice...if you didn't, I'm not gonna tell you!
its the Peoples Choice awards....who are these people and why do they get to choose!!!! I have no patience for these kind of shows anymore....I must be getting old....we used to get People magazine all the time, and then hubby and I realized we don't know these people they are talking about, nor, do we care..
BOOYAH......I'm a happy camper, I would like to thank Tide and Downey and all the little people along the way to my basement...BTW, I hate my basement...love my house, hate my basement
I agree. The present-day rosters really suck when you think what award shows were like 30 yrs. ago. Plus it seems like there's one on every month for one reason or another! We ARE getting old...but we aren't stupid!! Mits, darlin', what's wrong with your basement?
Ground is totally carpeted with ice...when it blew off the trees, the noise, especially on the sunroom roof, was absolutely deafening, not to mention a bit scary. Poor dog looked like she wanted to run for cover, but she stayed on my lap and buried her head!
I just don't like it, and the washer and dryer are there....I watch too much HGTV, and want everything to look nice, including my laundry room:)...maybe, I just don't like doing laundry anymore....
I think the only time we never had a basement was in the first house that my folks bought when I was 7. I guess I just have too much stuff!!!! But...I don't have room for the deep freeze anyplace else! And garage is detached and 75 ft. away from house!
I hope you're just joking, Lolly!! Will always remember my dad falling through the ceiling from the attic! And then a workman did it when they were finishing off the attic!
My utility room is right off the kitchen and it has my washer and dryer plus my freezer. Also, we have a wall of floor to ceiling cabinets in the garage.
Megan, I cannot believe what is going on, it sounds like if you don't get out, you can't get in...I feel sorry for the people that have to work, like hospital employees or the people that work at hotels....they are closing bridges....and it seems like the buses bringing people into the city, will be parking miles away....thinking of going to the beach...they are even cancelling volunteer shifts at the zoo, even though the zoo will be open...zoo, that is what it is going to be.
Mits, I am totally appalled at the whole mess of inauguration. I hope that somebody files a lawsuit against the government. Not only will it be so difficult for non-government people to get to their jobs if they live outside the city, but it seems particularly discriminatory to Virginians. And you have to have special tickets to ride MARC, VRE and I think even Metro. They say the city has not been isolated like this since the Civil War.
They're talking about inauguration fatigue on the news, Helen. And how to avoid it...getting out of town would work....get yourself to the shore next weekend!!!!
Hubby has to be out of town all next week, so I might go to beach next Thursday, I have my long day at zoo next Wednesday or I would leave this Sunday.
I guess I have gotten up long enough from the recliner to come over and say Good Night to everyone. I am sure the new antibiotic is starting to kick in. It just doesn't give me enough energy for a very long length of time. I haven't read all of today's comments - you buddies keep chatting!
Not sure anyone mentioned it but the Atlanta Panda Cub Updates on Tues/Thurs will post a short video clip. There is one over there for this Tues of the hammock scene.
I guess I missed everyone...all gone nitey, nite. I've been busy right up til now, pulling everything together for our trip. Gene had to take my 'puter back. I decided I needed one that will be a little more functional than the last one he brought home...was missing some things that I think are important. We'll look again when we get back. Still have my new camera. Really anxious to see how well it works. Hope I can find an Orchid up in a tree and be able to capture it's beauty. Margy and Jo have my cell number, just in case anyone needs to get in touch with me. We plan to leave at 9am.
Hellooooo Everyone. I know this is a strange hour to be haunting, but can see Finland nest--full of snow. Very busy at work today w/rush job for Div. Chief. Two of us there today finished at 8 PM. Had dinner and konked out in lounge chair. News flash for Wed. AM was spotting of sapsuckers!!Never saw them in past til Feb! Maybe I can get a current pic today.
Checked Live cam & it appears to be OK---black surroundings & night light on.(Have not read comments.)
BBBRRRR!!! Had to go out and fill up the bird feeders!! It is absolutely beautiful out there. This is the snow we have been looking for!! Another day to be grateful we work at home!!
Been struggling this morning to find the spot that is not hitting that sciatic nerve, think I am getting closer to it. That is a real bugger, I tell ya it is!
oh man, the birds were looking at me when I walked back in from the bus stop. Guess I will go feed them, going to be a challenge to put some seed out where it won't blow away.
Have to, too far to walk to the bus stop. Sometimes in warmer weather a group of the kids will walk back up from the bus stop, but not in the morning. Hello Norma:)
Blogger here is rather pokey. I can't stay on long, elderly neighbor lady coming home after being in hospital/then nursing home since Dec. 4 - I'm the taxi driver...
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Don't get blown away. Enjoy those cardinals, Sissy... How are Sharon and Thelma, please? xo
Everyone is okay here, Magpie. Sharon didn't go to Bedford last night, weather was starting to get a little rough and she isn't gonna be able to get that darn drain out so she is going home with Thelma when she comes in this weekend. She is gonna stay down there next week I think. Haven't talked to Thelma but Sharon has and I think she is doing okay.
Good morning everyone. I haven't even turned onthe cam yet. still prying these eyes open but have a Staff meeting this morning so up and at em anyway. Then I get to go back and work the overnight once again. In the middle it will be hopefully a couple of hours of eagle pictures. Its cold out there 8 degrees but sunny an dlight winds right now. I will be bundled up in a few layers. Might have to sit by the window to get through the meeting. Then off to do the fun stuff for a little while anyway.
Our area looks like a winter wonderland!!----just enough snow to cover the trees & the ground---but not enough to stop travel!!---ho!----SISSY--all your schools are closed---Who is taking SHARON to UVA?---will keep you all in my thoughts & prayers!!
Snowing like crazy here now- A band of light snow from Augusta to Martinsburg will continue travelling southeast...reaching Frederick Maryland...northern Loudoun County...to Winchester Virginia by 9am. The snow will last between 15 to 30 minutes. No accumulation is expected. Last gust of wind was 26 mph!!
ANOTHER GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---NATURENUT---SISSY---MEGAN---& GLO!!------usually when I do this 2nd hello---STEVEN will give us a new thread!!---ho!!--- Have lunch date---& I am really looking forward to it----Haven't been out all week----WEATHER!!!--- KIDS!!----GOOD DAY TO GO SLEIGH RIDING!!---(SISSY--that a no--no for you)----Have you had any relief from your leg pain?---Will pray that you do!----
I do get relief sometimes Norma but this morning it is not giving up. Keep trying to move around and find a way to get off of that nerve, but I don't think I can and still work. But it is what it is!!
It looked familiar because I bought one for my yard last year. Deer never did come back. Had one in the yard and went to Tractor Supply and bought anything I could find that I thought they would like. Never saw it again!!
Hello Red:) Guess Wanda is gone- have a great trip ! Yep, Norma, still have lots of cardinals, neighbors always say we are keeping them all in our yard!

Thanks Deb! Looking good to these ole' eyes!
NOW BOTH!!
I thought I lost everyone, Jo. Hope you are feeling better.
Make that 2 for 2 ole eyes! lol
I don't have any sound, do you?
I'm getting there Deb!
Great for the news on your Uncle going into rehab! I'll be sure to follow him in my prayers!
Both eagles working on nest now.
I reloaded and have a little sound now.
These eyes are enjoying the scenery too!
Looks like they are putting a lot of comfy stuff in there:)
I see them, belle in front lib in back
No sound here either.
Hi Lynn, I am still putting up Christmas. Today is was my bathroom, bedroom and clothes. Yes, I decorate every room!!!!
Hanky panky, but no souond!!
It is good news, they got him in so fast and at the place they wanted. They were told he would be on a waiting list for a few weeks. I think his son being a neurosurgeon may have helped some.
I got that on tape!!
I got it, was gonna save video, but restarted just in time! Saw that open beak on Lib!
I had just refreshed, Paula, so I have sound, I hope it turns out.
And there goes Belle...I wanted to restart to get my sound back..but it's not staying on very long...
Belle is such a good house keeper!
I did have sound. Guess I'm just not used to no wind. lol
LOL it's all or nothing, isn't it Deb!
LOL I think he's wondering why she left so quick!
I had sound, and Lib is not very romantic!
He looks like he's waiting for her to come back...he is perched at the back facing the cam
There he went up into the tree.
Got the cam back just in time!
It is very still here right now, Red. I heard his "not very romatic" whispers in her ear and wings as she left. Love it!
I do not have sound! Back to work. BBL
My sound is gone now.
Paula are you feeling OK? We worried about you last night.
Doing much better, Wanda. Thanks!
Before the split I said this.
Did Margy get to see Ceil? Does anyone know? She is one spunky lady! I can't keep up with her.
Margy wasn't sure if she saw them or not. Ceil didn't see Margy, but MM got a picture of her at the station.
Margy was at the station but don't think she could see through the tinted windows. Mits said Ceil did not see her but Mary Margaret did.
Hello.....back from zoo, rained most of the time really hard...only talked to 15 people, I left 15 mins early, the other voulunteer only stayed for a little over an hour and he flew the coop.
hmm, never have gotten that warning about not going to big rig Steve's' site, still get it when I go to Oregon eagle site and Sau St Marie to watch the ships come thru the locks
he is in rush hour traffic somewhere.
I don't get a warning either at either place.
Cool, cam is back and it sounds like you guys saw some action in the nest.
Thanks John and all of you at NCTC that keep the cam running, nasty day to work outside.
Megan, how are you feeling now? Last I heard, you didn't feel well and were going back to bed:( I HATE all thes BUGS gong around!!
Mary Margaret got a picture of Margy...WONDERFUL...Anxious to see it!! Wonder what she was doing at the time the camera snaped the photo?:)
Got a video of all the action...less the sound. Uploading now...will let you know when it's ready!
gotta help the kid pack...last minute Larry here...
Time for me to start dinner too. Later Y'all!!
I took some chicken and dumplings out of the freezer...add fresh corn muffins...
Boy that was quick!
Eagle Love in an Icy Nest
looks like she tossed him off over her head..lol
Don't think there was much love there...she said "don't even think about it" and tossed him over her back. YOU GO GIRL...YOU SAY 'when';)
Ok, gonna go try some dinner....BBL
The trucker is out on the road again, it looks snowy and the cars are zipping by. I always think that if a semi slows down, it must be time for everyone to slow down.
Well, practice makes perfect!!
I thought she tossed him, too!
Eagle at TH
Whoa-that was a quickie....
Deer in MI
See those deet, Paula.
Things look dicey at PIX PA.

"Gotta to to?" Red, should I correct it? Naaaahhhh!
Lots of Deets!
College kid is on his way to school, will spend the night w/ a friend, then get up at 4am to go to Philly airport to catch the plane...he'll be back in 2 weeks and a day.
Okay, Paula, we'll have you both on our minds....will he be able to email or anything from down there, or call?
Hopefully he will call a couple of times....no computer access.
Okay - sounds good. I sure hope he calls often.
Glad to hear you are feeling better, Paula. When IT hits, it does hit like a ton of bricks doesn't it? Amazing how that can happen.
Bella and Tarra, what a great little video. I saw a pup that looked like T-Bird's Buddy on there ! ♥
Wonder what that box is at PIX PA...guess I could read the forum and try to find out..but I am too lazy!
Dana: sorry you didn't get your warm swim, glad Ed could handle some noodles...hope all will be well soon!
Speaking of noodles, I'm starving. Got to find some bird food.
TTFN xo
I was wondering the same thing, Margy....off to watch some TV...bbl
I see it, but I don't see where anyone has mentioned it on the forum.
Sissy, how is your rescue dog doing? Last I heard he was starting to get some hair and was enjoying chasing the cat.
looks like big rig Steve has settled down for the night...thought Criminal Minds was on, but its some stupid awards show.
Are they giving out awards for being stupid now?? Bet there are many nominees....
Margy, did you tell us what all you did at the train station? Did anyone call 911? What did you wear...and did you get wet and cold?
Megan, I believe I earned an award for being stupid when I was ailing. I got on here and said a few stoopid things:) Hope you all didn't notice...if you didn't, I'm not gonna tell you!
Nah, you're not even close to being stupid...no award for you...
its the Peoples Choice awards....who are these people and why do they get to choose!!!! I have no patience for these kind of shows anymore....I must be getting old....we used to get People magazine all the time, and then hubby and I realized we don't know these people they are talking about, nor, do we care..
I'm with you, cause I really have no use for these awards shows, and I don't get why they need awards for doing their jobs...
exactly, most of them do a crappy job, to boot....get paid all kinds of money...ridiculous...think I will go do some laundry....:(
Then I shall award you the late night laundry award for superb clothes washing after 9 pm...

Yeah, I was just outside, the wind is really gusting!!
it is just plain, nasty...now they say we will get wind tomorrow, I sure was not expecting all the rain that came down this afternoon
Mits...move to Texas, we do not have basements here.
Margy, you've got mail. ☺
Dug in the freezer tonight. Had left over turkey from Christmas and left over dressing from Thanksgiving. Ymmy!
Helen, that's it....the laundry is the nemesis!!
Ok, will NOT correct it. LOL
lol....that would solve my problem, Lolly:) That why I like our condo down the ocean, everything is right there...no stairs
Lolly, with no basement what do you do if there's a tornado warning? Under the bed? In the bathtub?
And where do you store things?
Mits, are you getting out of town for the inaguration, sounds like it's gonna be crazy...
I think the only time we never had a basement was in the first house that my folks bought when I was 7. I guess I just have too much stuff!!!! But...I don't have room for the deep freeze anyplace else! And garage is detached and 75 ft. away from house!
LOL We store things in the attic until they get so heavy they crash through the ceiling and hit us on the head. Also, my closets are quite full.
Yes, I was joking! :) Jack get to go up there tomorrow as I hand him boxes of Christmas decorations.
Yeah, every day they announce new street and bridge closures, I don't see how anyone is going to get anywhere. And Metro will be a nightmare...
Sorry you all are having such terrible weather. Getting into the low 70's tomorrow.
Well folks I am slam wore out. Will chat with ya'll tomorrow.
Hugs to all!
LOL I thought you were talking ab out how bad the weather was.
Nite Paula, hope you feel better tomorrow.
I believe that, Lynn, it is like when we get a forcast of snow coming.....I have this urge to run out and buy bread, milk and toilet paper:)
Nite Paula!
hope you feel better, Paula
Good night, Paula. Hope you are 100% tomorrow!
Lolly, love your new avatar!!!
Deer at snowman cam. Also, see where a cabin is available. At the cam?
I think everyone will know who I am. ha! Thanks!
They're talking about inauguration fatigue on the news, Helen. And how to avoid it...getting out of town would work....get yourself to the shore next weekend!!!!
I can't watch or read the news....it is making me feel very much like I felt after 9-11, trapped.
NBC 4 has the closings posted on their website- wow- so confusing, and if you're in VA, you will have to walk in or goto MD to get into the city.
Hubby has to be out of town all next week, so I might go to beach next Thursday, I have my long day at zoo next Wednesday or I would leave this Sunday.
Well, dear fowl friends, I will talk with you tomorrow. Prayers for all, and for peace...hoping Geula is still safe. G'night.
that deer is going to knock that snowman down if he is not careful
I saw that, Megan, hubby's office is at 20th and M, he is thinking maybe he will go to beach also when he gets back into town
I'm headed for the hills too...goodnight:)
Nite you two :)
Good Night Ladies and Gentlemen...Rest well, hope the illnesses disappear overnight...
xo ♥
(PS Lolly - love that avatar! )
I guess I have gotten up long enough from the recliner to come over and say
Good Night to everyone. I am sure the new antibiotic is starting to kick in.
It just doesn't give me enough energy for a very long length of time. I haven't read all of today's comments - you buddies keep chatting!
Night all. I am heading to bed here shortly, too.
Not sure anyone mentioned it but the Atlanta Panda Cub Updates on Tues/Thurs will post a short video clip. There is one over there for this Tues of the hammock scene.
Good Night Everyone
Peace to you & yours
Prayers for all needs being said
((((hugs)))) ♥
Costume Lady, if you jump back on:
you have mail.
Good to See you Mema...hang in there, squish that bug, big-time !
Night Margy! Peace ♥
Nite all! First Michael called and then Laurel, so I have been on the phone.
Sweet dreams to all! And, may all of you feel grand tomorrow. It is so yucky to feel bad.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

I see the live feed looks like it's working this evening. (:~D>

Snowflakes flying by on Pix PA cam.
No critters to be seen on any others that are visible.
Time for more zzzzz's. ;>)
Good morning my fine friends!
Looks like our cam is okay this morning! Snowy down here in the big city, supposed to get a couple more inches today I think.
The snow is really peppering down here this morning!
Hello! Two EAGLES in the nest!!
Eagles our nest, both of em!!
Morning Megan!!
Hello Bev- really windy here this morning, as you can see on the cam.
Eagle love!
Aha! Early morning delight and then a peck on the beak..
Yeah, I do see that. It is snowing here still. Maybe Mattie will get her snow day. They are already on 2 hour delay but I bet they cancel.
We have some mating happening in the nest this morning, now rearranging the furniture.
There goes one...
Wow, now that is up close and personal!@
Wow- right up by the cam, what a view...
Mattie got her wish. They did close schools this morning!!
But Andrew is coming home from Hurricane WV today. He may not get to after all. He has been gone since last Saturday, I miss the little turd!!
He has a job interview today at Staples. That would be such a great job for him, hope he can get home. May end up having to go get his butt!
Oh, I hope he can make it home for the interview- heading to the bus stop....
All gone now!!
Good Morning, Sissy and Megan, and anyone else on here...got up in time to see one in the nest and then leave...
Good Day to You ! ☺
Ealge must have timed take-off just right not to have blown backwards doing it. Wish I had seen the Hanky Panky ♥ ♥
Two at BWE -
Yellow Snow at the Snowman Cam, still image...don't make snow ice cream out of that !
Two hooded crows at Finneys
Ewww...don't eat yellow snow...
Hello Margy...
Missed the flight out- was at the bus stop.
And a lot of snowing in Maine.
Red birds look so much redder in the snow, so beautiful!
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---What kind of BEAUTIFUL birds are at FINNEY'S site???
I think that is really neat Megan that you go to the bus stop with your "little girl." xo ♥
Have to, too far to walk to the bus stop. Sometimes in warmer weather a group of the kids will walk back up from the bus stop, but not in the morning.
Hello Norma:)
Those are the Hooded Crows, Norma!
Nice, aren't they?
One at BWO now, waiting on the other one...
☺
Eagle at BWO!
I think turkeys on the snowman cam.
Blogger here is rather pokey.
I can't stay on long, elderly neighbor lady coming home after being in hospital/then nursing home since Dec. 4 - I'm the taxi driver...

Oh, I see the turkey, thanks for the Alert, Sissy....
I hear the eagles in Maine, but don't see em yet.
I heard Eagles at Maine. Computer is too feisty, going to have to shut down and start again.
TTFN xo
Our area looks like a winter wonderland!!----just enough snow to cover the trees & the ground---but not enough to stop travel!!---ho!----SISSY--all your schools are closed---Who is taking SHARON to UVA?---will keep you all in my thoughts & prayers!!
MAGPIE-!!--Did you see my note asking about the beautiful black birds at FINNEYS???
Norma, she is not going until next week. Weather was not great last night so she postponed it till next week.
Both eagles at BWO now.
Sure Did, Norma! they are the Hooded Crows! Just look a little dusky since there is no sunshine there!
Got to sign off now...
Good to See you, Norma, always ! ☺ ♥

MORNIN' MAGPIE!!---Keep up your wonderful work!!---(another star)!
Snowing like crazy here now-

A seagull just flew by my yard...
Turkeys galore in Pa woods. Did anyone figure out what the box is?
ANOTHER GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---NATURENUT---SISSY---MEGAN---& GLO!!------usually when I do this 2nd hello---STEVEN will give us a new thread!!---ho!!---
Have lunch date---& I am really looking forward to it----Haven't been out all week----WEATHER!!!---
KIDS!!----GOOD DAY TO GO SLEIGH RIDING!!---(SISSY--that a no--no for you)----Have you had any relief from your leg pain?---Will pray that you do!----
Red, is it a salt lick for the deer, maybe?
I do get relief sometimes Norma but this morning it is not giving up. Keep trying to move around and find a way to get off of that nerve, but I don't think I can and still work. But it is what it is!!
That could be Sissy. I should have thought of that. Thanks.
It looked familiar because I bought one for my yard last year. Deer never did come back. Had one in the yard and went to Tractor Supply and bought anything I could find that I thought they would like. Never saw it again!!
Hooded crows back at Finney.
AAAHHH!---MEGAN---I bet your place is just BEAUTIFUL this am----All those birds in the snow!! Do you still have all those cardinals!!---AWESOME!
Guess I should buy one. I have a few deer around.
On our way out the door. LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!
Red, what time is breakfast? We'll pass by you tomorrow:)
Be good and STAY WELL.
MORNIN' RED!---I see those HUGE TURKEYS at the PA site!---But don't see the box?---
Wands breakfast is at 7 AM. C'moan by.
Norma, the box is behind the turkeys now. You can probably see it after they leave. It's to the left of the big tree but not quiet that far back.
SISSY---I saw a clip in the paper the other day & it mentioned a certain kind of exercise had helped!!---have you read anything like that??---
Hello Red:)
Guess Wanda is gone- have a great trip !
Yep, Norma, still have lots of cardinals, neighbors always say we are keeping them all in our yard!
Hey Sissy, I'll be glad to send you ALL the deer from my yard....
Good morning everyone....:)
