Tuesday PM

Eagle in the nest right now eating a fish. Not sure what is going on with the various web addresses. I was able to access things using this url, but it is not working consistently. You can also try accessing through the FWS website, then clicking on the training link, and finally the eagle cam link on the NCTC website.

new thread.

Good Morning Ceil and Glo. Glad to have you join me...I was beginning to think there was a new thread somewhere and I couldn't find it! LOL

Good morning eagle friends!! At MIL today, beautiful 53 degrees here.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

It looks like Belle is on the egg cup, reckon she is laying?

Costume Lady said...

Good Morning, Sissy... lucky you..it is 29° here. Belle has been in that same spot for quite awhile, now. I hope there is no egg. Not today.

hedgie said...

Wow, Sissy, send that warm weather this way....guess your schools aren't closed, are they?
Congrats on getting the wax, Red!
Thanks for info on the cam sound situation.
Maybe Belle is trying to melt the nest mess...in preparation for an egg, MAYBE????

Costume Lady said...

Red has become our new WAX QUEEN...er, I mean KING! lol

Costume Lady said...

Too much ice in the nest, Lynn. If she laid that egg now, it may slide right on out of the nest!:)

hedgie said...

Had to go out and pour hot waster on satellite dish transponder, or whatever it's called.
Walked--CRUNCHED--out to road to get papers...NOT THERE! Argh!
I know that safety must come first, but when ex did Sunday Washington Post (for 16 yrs.), he was out no matter what and rarely missed a single customer. We had the entire county, almost 280 miles driving every Sat. night. So I tend not to be a very patient customer!! Shame on me.

hedgie said...

Glo, glad Dex is doing better. Hope you get good news from the vet.
Loretta, just in case...did you have a wooly scarf around your neck? That's where I found a lost earring once. Hope you find it, but not looking too good, is it? So sorry. Safe trip to dentist if you go.
Poor Dave...retired, but called in to help in 9" of snow. What a trooper!

hedgie said...

You're right, Wanda...that's why I thought she might be trying to thaw it out!! LOL! Let's pray today isn't the day!
Thank goodness our cam is working.

hedgie said...

Going to fix some oatmeal--good for a chilly, icy morning! BBL.

Red said...

Maybe I can forgive you Wanda for that queen remark. Definately not my gender. lol

Howdy all:)
Was an empty nest when I looked earlier, see she's there now. Been outside -scraping-is the word of the day, what a mess.
I think, Red , you can just use all that darn wax to wax the floor. That's all I would ever do with it.

Costume Lady said...

Good Morning, Megan. She has been in that cup for almost an hour, now.

Costume Lady said...

BWE cam is frozen. I think Lisa said this cold weather may affect the cam.

Costume Lady said...

If you look closely, Belle is not in the egg-laying positon. Hope I am right.

Good morning Lynn and Megan
Lynn the Baltimore Sun is not here yet. Son was nine when he delivered papers. Sometimes I help. One Christmas a man gave my husband $10.00 and said give it to the little girl. Husband said that is my wife.
When we were in Oregon son did not get mail or paper for a week.
Where is Lib?

Red said...

Guess I could wax my garage floor and sidewalks. House is full carpet except kitchen and it's a no wax floor.

ceil said...

Last night there was talk about cream cheese and olive sandwiches. Love them.
Red I made bread pudding last night with panetonne (sp) bread. Delicious.
Gave some to neighbors or I would have eaten the whole thing.
Better go I am chatting too much.

floralgirl said...

Alright, Red, I'm not sure it's a good idea to wax the sidewalks...
Hey Ceil, Lynn and Wanda-

hedgie said...

Ceil, what is pannetone bread? Never heard of it!
One time at work, a janitor decided to try waxing a cafeteria floor using Pledge spray wax...his foreman (a 300+# guy) walked in and did a real ice-skating fall. Boy, was that guy in trouble!

Costume Lady said...

Hey, Ceil...did he give you the $10.oo?

hedgie said...

Just cancelled hair apptmt. for today! Not going to even try to get on the road!

hedgie said...

Deb and Loretta, thanks for your great new pics!! Love them all.

ceil said...

Morning sister.

Mits said...

Mits said...

ceil said...

She was Lynn. She passed away at the age of 70 in August 1985. Dad passed away at 69 in May 1981.
I enjoyed delivering the paper if son was sick.

hedgie said...

Thanks, Red....sounds really good...maybe a little like fruitcake only MUCH better!! I don't like fruitcake...but have made a rum/coconut/maraschino cherry-type fruitcake that was delicious--that was many moons ago!
Ceil, did you make it yourself, or did you buy it somewhere?? Sounds like the kind of goody Harris Teeter might carry...we are getting one of them in the spring!

ceil said...

Just talked to MM She said it looks fine by the harbor. Our street is a mess as usual. Mits you have e-mail.

floralgirl said...

Where are we getting a Harris Teeter?? SIL shops at one in VA all the time.

Mits said...

got it Ceil...one back atcha

Mits said...

I have a customer vip card for a Harris Teeter, but have never been in one, think we have one somewhere in Bethesda, but sure the parking is the pits

ceil said...

MM bought the bread. It is good just with a little butter on it or toasted. But had this recipe on the box.
We are suppose to get a Harris Teeter next year but it looks like the project has stopped.
