Belle goes over checks the stick out. Moves it very little. While Liberty is over now at the turtle shell. Looking to see if Belle left his something on it.
Been trying to get both Blog & Live Cam on 4 times! One will freeze & everything closes.BOO I did just see both our lovlies working on the nest. Good Morning All. Gonna try cam again.
Loretta thanks for sharing your pictures. Love the Bluebird. Since this summer was first year I had them. Plus getting to see them grow and fledge. Awesome how those little ones just flew out the hole and straight up.
Norma, some naturalists say bluebird house openings should face East, as most weather systems (w/rain, etc.) come from the West. Most of the boxes at Park are in wrong direction & birds use them anyway. I think it depends on if they like the area.
Our birds were in the nest for quite a while.....looking good, as always. CBS Morning Show ended w/ footage of eagles along Wisconsin River.....I grabbed my new camera and recorded it...now does anyone know how I can post it????????
Hi, Jim, Thelma and Helen. Yep, Tbird, we were graced with a really long visit around 10:30! Jim, this is a really long thread!!! 4th day...and counting? Loretta, your pics from yesterday were great!

Good Afternoon Everyone, I saw those birds on the nest just before I left for Mass around 9:45...that was a tough thing to walk away from ! Saw the nice ♥-ing view purely by chance around 7. Made visits to the cemeteries to collect Christmas things, nice to hear some birds chirping; they were mostly starlings.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE! Good Sunday afternoon to all eagle guys and gals out there in eagle land. What a week this has been. I didn't even get to check in on Liberty and Belle. Misses evrything and everyone very much; between visiting our elderly friend at the nursing home and work, it gets a little hectic. I have missed you all.
Simply beautiful service at Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Berkeley Springs. They have done a wonderful job with their renovatins. Baby girl was baptized, I made sure I touched the most holy person in the room ! ☺
Well JO today we are in the low 40's, but have been as low as the twenties with the sound starting to get a little icy around the edges. No snow yet , tho. :) How has the weather been up your way?
Hello Again...Reading over comments, it sounds like a lot of you have come down with the "Dreaded Bug". I hope all of you that have had it are well on the road to recovery. It's a nasty little booger!
Hey, Candy...did you see us wave at you yesteday as we passed by the Outer Banks? It was coooold!
I love it when we have baptisms.. afterwards, Father always brings the infant up to the alter and introduces our new member to all of us. He hardly ever has a crying babe! I am thinking that Steve may have the flu
I haven't heard anything more about Paula's Mom since Lynn said she wasn't doing well. I hope it is just a bad day and not anything more serious. It is so hard on us when our Mama's are ailing.
WANDA, you didn't drive into the Outer Banks and not call me did you, or do you mean you were on 95 and headed norht around Rocky Mount? And, BTW what are you doing home from Florida sooooo soooooon. You are coming int the COLD weather up here. Are you crazy?:) I did kind of hear something like an Eagle Express go by, but thought it was Obama's express! :)
good afternoon everyone; Wow it's cold out today so i am staying in today. I have more photos posted on my flickr site and i will send an invite to check them out. Glo, and costume lady can pass it on.
Haven't read my email for awhile again, so haven't seen the update on Paula's MOM. I sure hope it is temporary with her getting better as the days go by. Will keep her in our prayers.
Candy, that whoooooshing that you heard was the Eagle Express! We did see umpteen bus loads of students, bands, tourists and all other sorts on the Interstate headed towards DC.
Jo, yes, I was in Vero Beach. You certainly may tell your story. I laughed all the way to the post office thinking about you and if you would remember the remark you made about those items. You were coming down with a bug and I thought you may not remember:)
Dave, great photos. I have some stories to tell about my @@#$&**@ NEW CAMERA. Got nothing but lousy pictures. It has already been returned and Gene is on his way home with a Sony.
Thanks, Ceil. We had to postpone our celebration because I was down with a bug and other incidentals. Gene gave me a pair of Gold and Diamond earrings. Gold for 50 yrs. and Diamonds just in case we don't make it to 75 yrs.LOL
A month or more ago we were all watching the Bourbon Street cams and talking about Mardi Gras. I remember Lolly and Wanda and I am sure there were more of us joking around. Well once again I think I disappeared and they laughed and said that Jo was out looking for strands of purple beads! The postman delivered mid week this small jewelry box (the kind you would receive from the store when you bought a piece of jewelry) It was taped completely all over - had to use a knife to open it! Only thing on it was a label with my name/address printed - stamped First Class - and the postage marked Vero Beach FL. Jan 12th! Well I thought about Bobbi, Iris and Genie Jewell down in FL. But I knew they were in Palm City and Port St Lucie - I didn't know Iris' location. THEN our blessed Magpie said that she knew Wanda was going to Vero Beach! SO I decided to hold my own until Wanda returned - knowing in my heart that Yes It just had to be Wanda!!! The BOX had 4 strands of purple Mardi Gras beads!!! I have had so much fun in my mind thinking about them.. Love you to death Wanda - and I'll get you with loving PayBack! I'm going to wear them today for the Ravens' game. And that is my story & I'm sticking to it
Margy I am very grateful for your comment about Vero Beach! I would still be stressed out and accusing all of our FL Momsters about my beads! ((hugs)) ♥
Great Pictures, Dave! Wish I had a closer view of eagles I see. Need a giant deer stand or helicopter!! LOL Wish those football games weren't on so late, esp. the favorite teams! 3 "bird" teams playing!I'll need Panda naps at halftime! Helen, exciting (maybe) news about Mei Ling! Oh, could it be true?
I am glad that Lisa BWE explained about the rising water - I kept thinking it was snow. ALSO I surely did appreciate the close up pic of the little flying squirrel- Megan is right that it looks like a little chipmunk
Great story, Jo and Wanda!!! You both are so cool! Sorry the camera didn't work out for you, Wanda...hope the "new" one is better. Mits, wonderful update from NZ...we can only hope! Margy and Mits...talking about the baptism...when my youngest was christened, the minister carried her throughout the entire congregation so that everyone could get a good look! She was so tiny...I guess that was why because he didn't do it with my first one...neither of them cried.
Yes, Jo, warm now. Certainly wasn't the case yesterday morning!! I will be crying tonight, tho'....bathtub (which is in the basement) drain froze up last night, so tubful of cold, used water..argh...I'll have to take a shower tonight...and I am NOT a shower person!!
When I think of Buddy -- I guess I think of T-Bone! I forget I am to be thinking of BIRDS! lol Thelma I'm so sorry for the slip! Yeah a steak would be nice for a change!
Hot dogs with kraut and mashed taters would taste good, wouldn't it?? But I don't have any kraut! Plus I have leftover spaghetti from yesterday that was SO yummy...think I'll have it again this evening.
OK...for any of you who wonder what Jo was talking about when she mentioned the beads that I sent to her "incognito"...this is an excerpt of what she said on December 30:
Tuesday, December 30, 2008 11:14:00 PM Mema Jo said... You didn't lose me - I just laid claim to 4 beaded necklaces! I love purple............
The conversation began when Lolly and Paula thought it would be fun to go on a "Road Trip" and cam crash. It was one of those crazy late-night conversations we get into sometimes when we are tired and sleepy. Conversation started at 10:30pm, Dec. 30, if you would like to read the comments:):)
Welcome home Wanda! You were missed! Love the story of the purple beads! You did great! Now Jo is ready for our road trip to NO! Let's go....cam is waiting!
Did not get on all day yesterday and this is it for today. Michael is 40 today and we are heading to Dallas to celebrate. Close to 50 people will be at the restaurant. We have it to ourselves! Party on!
I worked on Zach's book all day yesterday, then ran out of ink. I am ready to create page V. No problem there, have pictures of him behind the wheel of our van.
Great news of the panda. It would be loverly to have another panda baby. Especially since Atlanta went off the air! Boo! Hiss!
Well gang I'm signing off for now-watching the game. Good to talk with you all. Prayers to Paula, her mom and the family and medical personnel taking care of her.
Lolly, I kept a journal on all three of my grandchildren. When I get them out and read back over the years when they were very young, it brings lots of tears of joy! Just little things, like the way they pronounced words...like one called Pepsi, Pesby and another, Tepy and one called everything Pop. Keep up on them...it is precious in later years.
Need to explain that Hubby had a dog in his family by the name of none other then T BONE
I wasn't thinking steak I was thinking dog!
Hi Lolly - Wanda explained my purple beads very well..... I still can't stop grinning and chuckling about Wanda sending me those! You guys are the bestest!
Afternoon you all. Did I hear you mention the ******game? I want you to know it is the STEELERS game. The mayor of Pittsburgh even had his name changed from Luke *****stahl to Luke Steelerstahl. May the best team win.
And I was complaining about the cold yesterday and now it is the snow. I swear we have 18" on the ground from the last 9 or 10 days. I have shoveled twice already today. My poor old dog would be buried if she went into the yard. The driveway makes a convenient 'facility'. Mom's Golden Retreiver loves it though.
Latest cam update is wind and darkness in ME--must be fog and snow 2 at BWE and ours is MIA
Granny...I am like Naturenut...I lived near Pittsburgh and was a fan of the Steelers and the Pirates, but have lived so near Washington and Baltimore for more years than Pa. and it is a toss up as to who I want to win. I guess I will be happy either way:)

Yes could be as early as April....
so now it is just watch and wait:) I so hope it is successful this year for all the hard work that the keepers and scientist do
Are you going to be watching the game today at home? I talked to Quinn and
he is ready for a win! He thought the Raven's prayer that you had sent me by email was really cool!
You can see the opening in the Hummingbird egg, and it looks only a little bigger.

I was just watching hummer nest, too, Jim. Guess only time will tell if the baby is ok in the egg.

Hi Jim - BWE in the nest now
Good Afternoon Everyone, I saw those birds on the nest just before I left for Mass around 9:45...that was a tough thing to walk away from ! Saw the nice ♥-ing view purely by chance around 7.
Made visits to the cemeteries to collect Christmas things, nice to hear some birds chirping; they were mostly starlings.
My prayers list is three pages long and growing. Right Now, Paula's mother is first on the list. May God comfort and strengthen her Mom and all the family through this difficult time.

Momma Hummer is on the nest right now - Seems to be taking too long for the hatching of the second one..
MITS : Thanks for ALL the Panda updates you provide.
..And the weather too, of course.☺

God Bless Us, Every One

Good view of the newest hummer but the second egg looks still in tact!
Come on and break that shell!!!
I see that Liberty and Belle have been coming to the nest and MITS, the word on the Panda at the NZ is exciting. Shall we all hope for the best?
JO, hope you are feeling much better from being under the weather,
I was shocked to see how many messages had been sent on the blog. Steve must be busy.
Simply beautiful service at Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Berkeley Springs. They have done a wonderful job with their renovatins. Baby girl was baptized, I made sure I touched the most holy person in the room ! ☺

Heading out to make some Christmas gift deliveries to a special little family ....
Enjoy your afternoons, all.

Have to get ready to go to the Hippodrome to see Chitty chitty bang bang. MM friend gave me his ticket. He wants to watch the Ravens game.
Not sure how to view Dave's pics on the flicker site. Am I to be waiting for an invite?
The pic you had last month, Dave of the eagle on the ground gathering the sticks and they flying with them... That is
awesome!
Jo what a cute story. WANDA good for you for remembering, but I now just hope she only wears them for the game and not for church! :)
that is a great story, Jo.....:):):)
I'm waiting to see Dave's pics too.

Enjoy the show, Ceil!
Margy I am very grateful for your comment about Vero Beach! I would still be stressed out and accusing all of our FL Momsters about my beads! ((hugs)) ♥

Helen, exciting (maybe) news about Mei Ling! Oh, could it be true?
Hey people, the mother is off the hummer nest and the egg is turned to you can't see any opening.
I am glad that Lisa BWE explained about the rising water - I kept thinking it was snow. ALSO I surely did appreciate the close up pic of the little flying squirrel- Megan is right that it looks like a little chipmunk
Someone best get in at the snowman cam with a snow blower!! A deer is there now
Can't imagine any food to be found there for them
I still can make no sense from their blog comments... they use so many

Correction----Mei Xiang. I'm not real good w/Chinese ☺
I have a sort of dilemma---I like BOTH Ravens & Steelers!Guess tho, I will be happy w/the outcome!
I wonder where our Bluefield gals have been this weekend?
Great to have T-Bird back - she seems to get those eagles in the nest!
I would like to see Arizona win, but don't think so...

Loretta - you sure won't lose today! lol
Going for my 3:00 cup of coffee

I'm watching the background hoping to see Belle fly in........
T-Bone are you in Bedford today?
Do you have a holiday tomorrow from your work?
I know Mema Jo-it seems like Belle is right there
I don't have sound - is yours on?
No sound here either
Great story, Jo and Wanda!!! You both are so cool!
Sorry the camera didn't work out for you, Wanda...hope the "new" one is better.
Mits, wonderful update from NZ...we can only hope!
Margy and Mits...talking about the baptism...when my youngest was christened, the minister carried her throughout the entire congregation so that everyone could get a good look! She was so tiny...I guess that was why because he didn't do it with my first one...neither of them cried.
EAGLE ALERT!
T-Bone I don't know what went on
NOW it looks like Belle in the nest
It's a mistery Mema Jo
Hi Hedgie! You staying warm with that wood stove?
there's the behavior again
gone
I sure hope nothing is wrong
seems like they were both there but only one would come into the nest
lol....Jo, you have renamed Thelma....T-Bone:):)
are you hoping you have steak for dinner?
Thelma, you are the lucky attractor!!
Dave, pics are wonderful, as always!
Yes, Jo, warm now. Certainly wasn't the case yesterday morning!!
I will be crying tonight, tho'....bathtub (which is in the basement) drain froze up last night, so tubful of cold, used water..argh...I'll have to take a shower tonight...and I am NOT a shower person!!
glad your warm now Hedgie-sorry about the tube
When I think of Buddy -- I guess I think of T-Bone! I forget I am to be thinking of BIRDS! lol Thelma I'm so sorry for the slip!
Yeah a steak would be nice for a change!
Phone rang and I missed the exit!
I'd like a steak too Mema Jo-that is okay :)
OK Need to go think about our dinner here - no clue what to fix..
BBL
may a T-bone??
Hi, Thelma...haven't seen you on here in awhile. Buddy is a Hot Dog-kind of dog...not T-Bone Steak. Jo, you are so funny. Are you still on meds?
hello Wanda-you know he's a hotdog kinda dog since you fed him so many :)
Buddy sure did like those hotdogs of Wanda's, didn't he?? LOL!
he sure did!

You didn't lose me - I just laid claim to 4 beaded necklaces! I love purple............
The conversation began when Lolly and Paula thought it would be fun to go on a "Road Trip" and cam crash. It was one of those crazy late-night conversations we get into sometimes when we are tired and sleepy. Conversation started at 10:30pm, Dec. 30, if you would like to read the comments:):)
Lynn we had hot dogs last night with mustard, onions, chili and cheese
Before I leave just want to say that prayers are being said for Paula's mom.
Good grief, are you people hungry or what???
Just read my email. Yes, prayers for Paula's mom. Prayers for Paula!
Need to explain that Hubby had a dog in his family by the name of none other then
T BONE
I wasn't thinking steak
I was thinking dog!
Hi Lolly - Wanda explained my purple beads very well..... I still can't stop grinning and chuckling about Wanda sending me those! You guys are the
bestest!
Eagle at BWE
Afternoon you all. Did I hear you mention the ******game? I want you to know it is the STEELERS game. The mayor of Pittsburgh even had his name changed from Luke *****stahl to Luke Steelerstahl. May the best team win.
Just checked Hummer--egg has 2 nice holes in it. Hope it can get out!
Latest cam update is wind and darkness in ME--must be fog and snow
2 at BWE and ours is MIA
You all be good
Granny...I am like Naturenut...I lived near Pittsburgh and was a fan of the Steelers and the Pirates, but have lived so near Washington and Baltimore for more years than Pa. and it is a toss up as to who I want to win. I guess I will be happy either way:)
More deer at the snowman cam
Hi There grannyblt!
Can't open the hummer cam - just keeps spinning around...... I hope that 2nd egg is ok. Holler if you see it again Loretta.
