We've been working hard to complete the new power system for the cam. Here is a shot of the new solar panel, note the eagle in the tree behind the panel.
Oh wow Steve How exciting. The eagles are working hard too. Hopefully both will have their things in place at just the right time. its not gonna be long!!!!
Thanks, Steve, for that report. Sometimes, when we don't hear anything from you for a while, and we are having some minor problems, we think you have forgotten us. We just need a word or two to appease us. Sorry if we sound like a bunch of HYSTERIAL WOMEN, but that is exactly what we are:):) We love you and your crew, Steve!
Great picture thanks Steve. We are so lucky to have this blog. Sissy thinking of you. Did you see where the woman who had the octuplets has 6 other children.
I'm going to make an ACT OF CONTRITION FAST...never know when you might drop in your tracks, don't want to have to explain I was watching bird porn:( to the Big Guy upstairs
When the Lord said "Be fruitful and multiply", I don't think he ment for someone to purposfully put 8 embryos into their bodies to get their 15 minutes of fame! SHAME ON THEM...Now they will be wanting donations from all over the world and will complain if they don't get what they want:(
Some of those babies are bound to have physical problems (sadly) and then WHO will be responsible for their care and expenses? That's right, you guessed it!
I have been just a little bit behind with the Bio of the HAIR GUY. Does he have a wife. Do we know where he gets his hair cut. IS IT REAL?? How much does it cost the taxpayers?
ok, nite Thelma and Sissy! yes, Blago has a wife, and only the shadow knows if that perfectly coifed hair is real... and he'll be paying for his own haircuts now if it is...
On The View Monday, Joy Behar tousled Blago's hair...they talked about it extensively the next day and no one asked if it was real, but she didn't say that it wasn't, and I'm sure she would have said so!!!
Hi all! Have not been on all day...beenn lurking! Jack and I have been working a large jigsaw puzzle.
So. Mits, you wanted to be a Breck girl. Every Sunday we would pick up our grandparents for church. Grandpa would always sing to me "you can always tell a Halo girl, you can tell by the shine of her hair". It is a memory I will never forget.
my Aunt Mary gave me a Toinette, the day before my First Holy Communion day... hair looked like I had stuck my hand in an electrical socket, and, smelled like a chemical plant:(
I remember perms like that and the tears as soon as you looked in a mirror! I remember going to the beauty shop one time and say NOT curly, just body. Poor lady felt so bad, because it was curly and I was crushed. Now I know that my hair takes a perm very easily and don't get them anymore.
went to my m-i-l's hairdresser once, asked for a body perm, good thing it was January, wore a knit cap til spring, I looked like a Tiny Tears baby doll
Wow, great ads from a few posts ago, MITS, and I remember Tiny Tears but never had one. Us girls all had Madame Alexander dolls which you looked at more than played with! And I remember Adorn, Halo, Lustre Creme...and the the Breck girls! Anyone remember something called Brilliantine? Oh well, time to read the Blog and all the Eagle excitement.
Hope you folks saw Moonie and Venus tonight....beautiful pairing..xo ☺
Alright, never heard of her...many days I feel old, if that's any consolation. Hello Margy, I saw that beautiful moon a little while ago, and was wondering if you were looking at it.
Sad news to pass along.. A PD officer with Martinsburg City Police, JR Butcher, has lost his long and courageous battle with cancer, tonight, dying peacefully, surrounded by many friends, family, and co-workers, at City Hospital. Please add these grieving folks to your prayer list, with grateful thanks that JR has entered eternal life, free of illness and full of Glory. Thank you.
yes Margy our Mom loved the Madame Alexander dolls, we had the whole set of Little Women and Cinderella, we kept them in a doll closet in the dining room, it was really a china closet, my s-i-l has it in her dining room now, and she actually uses it for china don't know how old it is, Ceil might know, since she is much older than I am:):):)>
Thanks, MITS for the thoughts. Illness started with a skin cancer, quickly spread, tumors throughout, begun and ended in about 18 months time. He just recently turned 30....had the Last Rites given this morning.
Regarding the MME Alexanders, one sister had Queen Elizabeth, another had Princess Margaret, and I had a ballerina...will never forget the elegant clothing and appointments, earrings and rings and things.... I got through the end of "Wednesday" on the Blog, going back for more now.
Deb Jill would probably have mentioned it. JR was the school safety officer for the Martinsburg High School, after being a "road unit" for several years, and he was wildly popular with the high school kids. There were lots of fund-raisers and things, kind of like what has taken place with Mason.... I guess it is one of the lines from Ghost and I might not get this right, but the sentiment is Your Love Goes With Me... and I hope his family can feel that, and feel that his Love stays with them as well.
I read Eagles, Eagles, and More Eagles today for you folks. That's wonderful...
I wish I could have caught that screen grab from PIX PA last night, those little critters had big blowing eyes, and I am wondering if they could have been flying squirrels...
Megan - so glad you saw Moonie and Venus...will be interesting to see the change-up in positions Friday night...
Please don't ask me what a big blowing eye looks like, - must be like upper underwear...How about big Glowing eye... don't know if the little rascals would have been out prowling around on the ground...
I need to go wash away the day. Hope your all's evenings are going well, nice story about that little lass in MITS's neighborhood. That's what makes this world go around, helping hands....
Wow, good looking new equipment and a supervisor watching! Good Evening Everyone....
Haven't had time to read Blog---maybe Saturday LOL, if not busy at work. Busy here tonight observing sick little kitty for the Vet. She's got the GI blues just like those of us who had the stomach flu! Hope she can go to Clinic in AM.
Was going to watch Grey's Anatomy but it is a rerun. :(
Baked grandson Zach's birthday cake today. Plan to decorate it tomrorrow. Found on line an edible picture of Elvis. LOL That is what is going on his cake!
Margy, thoughts & prayers for the officer & his family. Same for Paula's Mom's Memorial Service on Friday. Hope the major sadness will be behind us & we can rejoice in new life. For those going to hit the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams. ☺ ☺ ☺
Catching up! Mits, I had a Tiny Tears, but she had the plastic head. Also had a Revlon doll...remember them?? Loretta, do you remember a salon downtown called Louie's that still had the old electric perm things hanging from the ceiling? We had a beautiful old china closet where we kept all of the foreign dolls that my dad received from the foreign participants he trained at the State Dept. WHen folks bought their first house, it was too small to accommodate it. The dolls are STILL in boxes..and it's been almost 52 yrs. Margy, SO sorry to hear about Jr. What a shame, but he is finally free. Thanks for sharing...better to hear it this way than to see it in the paper.
Big police chase in Jefferson County that ended in MD, with one a runner and three in custody. They were trying to serve a warrant on the driver and he took off w/ 3 passengers....started toward VA, but ended up going to MD. Last I heard they were chasing him Harpers Ferry NP. Didn't hear where it started but maybe near NCTC.
Lynn, those dolls-MIB-would probably be worth a fortune now. I am going to sell my dolls soon. They, too, are MIB. Some of mine are 24 years old and not doing a bit of good laying around in a box.
Yes, Loretta Special prayers and thoughts for our Paula. I know it will be a beautiful service, with Paula's loving touch. What a wonderful daughter her mother brought into the world.
About Paulleo Hedgie, thanks for the update. It is good that we all go and search out our friends on here. ISS comes back out in a few days, we must send him the site again and maybe that will perk him up ! ☺ (It sure perks ME up ! )
Okay, Wanda... I need to label them all first, and, that might not happen for a day or so.... I have some out of town friends (from NC) who are in town for a memorial service, haven't seen them for 30 years, and need to catch up with them for awhile Friday....but I know how to find you guys! And I will....☺
Made dog an appt., but they wanted me to try Benadryl first, so I am. I missed the singing at snowman site, have my volume down cause everyone went to bed, that's right, everyone, even the dog.
So, I guess the window of time for a 3rd egg at BWE has closed... you know, I hear threats of some snow Monday night into Tuesday...that's about NCTC Egg-laying time, isn't it?
Margy, I got a quick email off to Ann to tell her about JR. Of course, she may already have heard it from Jerry or Barb Bartley. Yes, my thoughts have been with Paula all day, knowing that tomorrow is when the finality will set in.
These dolls weren't in boxes. And they really probably aren't worth anything. Some of them are crude (African and Middle-Eastern ones), and some are quite fancy (Scandinavian ones). I still even have the labels that daddy lettered that identified where each came from.
Hedgie... JR really wanted to try to make it home, but it just wasn't possible...so home came to him at the hospital, in the form of multitudes of people all day yesterday and today. When Martinsburg Fire Department would transport a patient to the ER, teh crew would always hike up to the second floor to share a few minutes with him.
Hello I did catch a movie this evening 8-10 I have Dr appointment tomorrow am - told me to bring a list of all meds - they check you out first of year. I remember hearing about JR - Peace to his family and friends Will be thinking of Paula and her family at the memorial service. I hope Norma gets online tomorrow.
Sounds as though some of you need to seek out the Antique Road Show or hit ebay. I know that the American Girl dolls and their accessories bring good money.
Whew! Now we can rest...Mema has re-surfaced...we had all sorts of imaginations going for your disappearance, JO! Best wishes for your doctor's appointment Friday...what time does all that start and end?
Lisa's Update.... 01/29/09: It looks like we'll have a two-egg clutch for 2009, which is in keeping with our last three seasons. We'll update the Eagle Cam Web Log Friday evening and talk about what is happening inside the eggs.
10:45 am is my appointment.. Just call me Wheezie! Think I will hit the bed shortly.. Great conversations on here today & lots of eagle action on more then just our cam
Gotta go soon, but didn't know of salon in DC, BUT I bet some people remember the flourescope you stood on & saw an X-ray (almost) of your feet for sizing at the shoe store!! They had those downtown at the Buster Brown store.Thought it was so cool to look down inside your shoes!!! And then, of course, they found out it was bad for you like the tonsil radiation I got that wiped out a few body parts 45 yrs. later!! My feet are still here!! LOL I'm getting stoopid ☺ ☺ ☺---bedtime shortly......

Sissy thinking of you.
Did you see where the woman who had the octuplets has 6 other children.
He seems like such a self-centered egotistical fella.
I'm going to make an ACT OF CONTRITION FAST...never know when you might drop in your tracks, don't want to have to explain I was watching bird porn:( to the Big Guy upstairs
I think he has lost a few brain cells in his life....
Maybe they got lost in his hair...
I read that Ceil, and she lives with her mother....14 kids, what a madhouse that will be:)
ha ha I love it
She sure needed another 8 didn't she. Can you believe 14 children. What were they thinking? lol
ROFLMBO....Megan...when I see him on TV, just want to smack him.
They obviously were not thinking, in my opinion...
I don't think they were thinking Red, probably doing;)
Here's my Blago pic!!
I think the biggest question is: can they afford them? Or are WE going to be supporting them????
That's cute, Megan!!!
When the Lord said "Be fruitful and multiply", I don't think he ment for someone to purposfully put 8 embryos into their bodies to get their 15 minutes of fame! SHAME ON THEM...Now they will be wanting donations from all over the world and will complain if they don't get what they want:(
Yeah, that is exactly right. WE will dcertainly be supporting that family for the rest of their lives.
oh my, its Lego-Blago
I saw that on tv, they kept showing the LEGO guy, he's got Blago's hair.
hooray, I can barely support my own family...
Great Blego pic, Megan!
Maybe he can become a BRECK girl..
looks like BRS has stopped for the night.

I always wanted to be the Breck girl...:)
BRS, is on the move again
might be picking up his load
Some of those babies are bound to have physical problems (sadly) and then WHO will be responsible for their care and expenses? That's right, you guessed it!
Well, I'm outta here. I hope everyone makes a good evening.
I have been just a little bit behind with the Bio of the HAIR GUY. Does he have a wife. Do we know where he gets his hair cut. IS IT REAL?? How much does it cost the taxpayers?
Nite, Thelma:)
SISSY, I hope you are feeling all the love that is going out to you this evening.(((Hugs)))
Well, my friends, I am outta here for a while. Catch ya later!! Have a good evening. Keep an eye on them birds for me!!
ok, nite Thelma and Sissy!
yes, Blago has a wife, and only the shadow knows if that perfectly coifed hair is real... and he'll be paying for his own haircuts now if it is...
Ha Ha Eagle porn...remember those "stop the porn pics for animals" with their signs. lol
Steve and crew keeps on ticking like the bunny for Everready batteries. They keep trying and trying to work cam problems out.
Love our eagle checking them out. (:
On The View Monday, Joy Behar tousled Blago's hair...they talked about it extensively the next day and no one asked if it was real, but she didn't say that it wasn't, and I'm sure she would have said so!!!

BRS, back on the road again, may have just picked up his trailer
wow, memory lane, I use to use Halo all the time
keeping a close eye on BWE, she has been moving around alot
I think BWE cam froze...stuck on 1903 and won't refresh.
mine is at 19:09 and still moving
I loved the smell of Halo Shampoo.
and the bottle was neat too.
I used it, but do not remember the smell or the bottle, just Grandpa singing to me.
CLASSIC TV ADS
deer at Pa
eagle at Caltran
Thanks Mits! That was great!
Oh boy, I'm too young for most of those commercials, but I'll have me a Toni home perm, please!!
Oh, just rub it in Megan! LOL
my Aunt Mary gave me a Toinette, the day before my First Holy Communion day... hair looked like I had stuck my hand in an electrical socket, and, smelled like a chemical plant:(
I remember perms like that and the tears as soon as you looked in a mirror! I remember going to the beauty shop one time and say NOT curly, just body. Poor lady felt so bad, because it was curly and I was crushed. Now I know that my hair takes a perm very easily and don't get them anymore.
Eagle at LW.
Now both!
Off with one of the LW eagles.
And gone.
The owl cam in Bakersfield is up, but they are waiting for the owl to come still.
got there just in time to see the takeoff
BWE was sleeping, but now she is awake with her wings spread and her tail feathers in view. Very little movement.
went to my m-i-l's hairdresser once, asked for a body perm, good thing it was January, wore a knit cap til spring, I looked like a Tiny Tears baby doll
Well, thirty seconds with the Eagle at Lake Washington before it flew off.... ☺
Ah, a live Eagle fix ....
TINY TEARS DOLL
For Megan who is sooooo young probably never heard of Tiny Tears, they were big in the 50's, mine had the dark rooted hair, not the plastic head.
Wow, great ads from a few posts ago, MITS, and I remember Tiny Tears but never had one. Us girls all had Madame Alexander dolls which you looked at more than played with! egg turning BWE
Thanks, MITS for the thoughts. Illness started with a skin cancer, quickly spread, tumors throughout, begun and ended in about 18 months time. He just recently turned 30....had the Last Rites given this morning.

I got through the end of "Wednesday" on the Blog, going back for more now.
must be something going on at NCTC tonight, lots of cars going by.
that is way to young...:(
Two eggs in view at BWE.
off to watch TV, could watch CSI, its new, or watch Grey's which is a repeat, but know I have not seen it...bbialw
That is too bad about JR. Didn't Jill tell us about him last year?
still only 2 eggs at BWE, she jumped on and off, but maybe another one could come soon, although she has passed the 3 day mark around 4 this afternoon
That's so sad, Margy, he was way too young, and suffered so much. May he rest in peace.
Deb Jill would probably have mentioned it. JR was the school safety officer for the Martinsburg High School, after being a "road unit" for several years, and he was wildly popular with the high school kids. There were lots of fund-raisers and things, kind of like what has taken place with Mason....

Be Back Later. Love to you all. xo ♥
Margy so sorry to hear about the death of such a young man. Prayers for his family.
Hey I am not that much older than you. I think the China closet is from the late 40's or 50's. Still have the Madame Alexander dolls in storage.
Good night everyone.
Peaceful dreams.
Tine Tears was my last doll. She is tucked away in the closet. She had the plastic hair. :(
Was going to watch Grey's Anatomy but it is a rerun. :(
Baked grandson Zach's birthday cake today.
Check out the snowman cam blog. They are partying!!!
Can you remember the dolls that you couldn't get wet, or their face would deteriorate? Or they would get little tiny cracks all over.
I started collecting Ashton Drake dolls after I became a grandmother.
Silver Alert for Jo! She is probably watching a Hallmark movie.
I have all of Laurel's dolls in my closet....guess they are now waiting for a great grandchild. Three grandsons and a closet full of girly stuff.
JO went to dinner and never came back, which I guess is better than going to the loo:)
my goodness, they are dancing and singing on the snowman cam:)
She's gonna get me for that comment, when she reappears.
I don't know what they are doing in Snowman chat, but they are having fun...
some little tyke was singing on their yak chat
Maybe she's in the loo at the restaurant, Megan:)
I don't think she left her house...
I think Mema Jo is glued to the Lake Washington Cam....maybe hypnotized by now...☺
Lynn, those dolls-MIB-would probably be worth a fortune now. I am going to sell my dolls soon. They, too, are MIB. Some of mine are 24 years old and not doing a bit of good laying around in a box.
Yes, Loretta
Special prayers and thoughts for our Paula. I know it will be a beautiful service, with Paula's loving touch. What a wonderful daughter her mother brought into the world.
May we send our energy her way, especially at 11 o'clock Friday morning.
Best wishes that all the family pets are going to have wellness soon. Hope that Benadryl makes for a healthy pup at your roost, Megan...
Margy, I told GeeGee that you might drop off some photos and she said she would put them in a safe place. Dinner invitation still stands:)
About Paulleo
Hedgie, thanks for the update. It is good that we all go and search out our friends on here.
ISS comes back out in a few days, we must send him the site again and maybe that will perk him up ! ☺ (It sure perks ME up ! )
Wanda, brain fog here...what's MIB?
Okay, Wanda... I need to label them all first, and, that might not happen for a day or so....
I have some out of town friends (from NC) who are in town for a memorial service, haven't seen them for 30 years, and need to catch up with them for awhile Friday....but I know how to find you guys! And I will....☺
..And if we don't hear from JO pretty soon, I have directions to her house!! Have directions, will travel !
Made dog an appt., but they wanted me to try Benadryl first, so I am. I missed the singing at snowman site, have my volume down cause everyone went to bed, that's right, everyone, even the dog.
Well, I don't have to label them but it is an O-C thing with me...you know, obsessive-compulsive...
Lynn, that would be: Mint in Box...meaning, they were never used for display or anything else.
That's a good habit, Margy.
Wow - Wanda - you could sell those china chicks and supersize the Eagle Express !
Heading to bed-nite all...
Goodnight, Megan! With the benadryl in her, the dog should sleep very well!!!
