Fun day at the plunge yesterday. Someone asked about wet suits. They are not aloud to wear them. You will see people standing in wet suits but they are Maryland State Police keeping everyone safe. All pledges are not in and will not be tallied for at least another month. Now.

I din't get an email from you-can you tell if it was sent-did it tell you it failed?

Good Sunday morning eagle friends. First looked at the BWE cam and the egg was all alone. Don't like that site but mom/dad quickly appeared on the next refresh!!
Eagle in our nest this morning. What a beautiful site. I think we will soon have an egg of our own!! It is a balmy 27 degrees here in the big city.
Does Norfolk lay their eggs around the same time as us, Maine?
Sissy, Lisa says it is normal for after the first egg to see it alone, they are close by, and once the second and/or 3rd egg is laid they they will be on it all the time....I love that site

it was Molly sleeping in the tent...Maggie is a party girl, she had had a brief nap in the morning, and was on the beach when Dad went in:), she loves the crowds, Molly doesn't.

Norma, SPYBOT is good, you can download it online- then run it-when my kids computer had a trojan virus, even her antivirus program wouldn't work properly, I had to download spybot and run it to fix her computer. If you aren't comfortable doing that, call a computer geek.

I am finally home--it was a long day out and about, but two pairs of long underwear did the trick. Only my fingers and face got cold. We were traipsing through some trees looking for owls and got into a cocklebur field--Yuck! I got so tangled in them they untied my boots.

Snowing in Oregon.
Deb, I just spoke to my son and he said the same thing. First snow they have had since we were there.
The snow was almost gone from the nest there, it has filled back in some. When we were in CA, the brown pelicans were dying and they were trying to figure out why. They finally found out they were suffering from frost bite from the snows in Washington and Oregon.

Hedgie, I disappeared for a little while. Sorry about that. It is an Acer computer. It has 160 gb hard drive and 3 gb memory, DVD writer, WiFi card built in. I love it.

Sharon...I disappeared for awhile, too! I think that is what my daughter has...she seems happy with hers. If my tax refund is big enough, and if I can get a wireless router for my Hughesnet, I might look into getting one. THen I wouldn't have to be holed up in the office to watch our nest!!
The eagle at BWE is so still you would think the cam is frozen. Of course, I type this as she decides to move her head.

Ed said he is pretty sure his beak will never be capable to tear food enough to be released.
He is becoming so used to being handled from all the procedures they do that he grabs his cage and ' demands food '. So much so that he has learned command " Go back"
When anyone comes - even to his neighbors cage - he grabs and wants food. with a stern
" Go back" he goes to his perch.
Ed was surprised how smart he is and thinks he will be given to a facility with a large aviary OR he may be used as an education eagle."
Ed may be able to use him at WCV since he lost Justus.

To pick up where I left off this morning...Dustin ate a Pot Pie for breakfast (remember, I let hime eat anything he wants) and then ham, eggs and hash browns. I set out his clothes for church and after he dressed, he called me into his room and lo and behold, his pants were too tight in the waist! This is wonderful to see...finally getting some meat on his bones:)
Jo, Cold Case was good and I, too, watched LOVING LEAH....sweet movie.
I saw our DAVE on the video...we are getting some very talented and soon-to-be, famous, bloggers on here;) Wonderful group of people!
