Oh, hi Red! I test drove the Cape Coral link and it wouldn't let me return to the blog...so that's when I found the new thread...Best thing is to try to right click it (Deb suggested this...) and then take it to favorites if you like it.
I rested fairly well. I got Andrew to gve me my medicine last night and told him the wrong bottle. I got 80 mg of Lasix instead of 10 mg of oxycodone. So, I was up and down a lot during the night.
Oh Sharon, we are going to have to send Andrew back to Nursing School! You poor child....but I'm glad he is there to help you out... Bless his heart ..and yours too ♥ xo
Sharon, it is sooo easy to get wrong meds. I was getting ready to take my morning pill just before leaving for OPEN HOUSE, and realized just in time that it was an Ambien (sleeping pill). I would have been out like a light all day!
Oh, it is just so good to see you on here, Sharon....better get a bedside commode to park near the computer! How is Thelma? I miss her early morning T-Bird...xox

Morning everyone! Sharon, sorry about your ordeal during the night. Guess you'll be more careful. Yikes!
Presently 60 and bright sun shine! Still is Fall here, not winter. Plenty of leaves to collect and many more to come. Send your hubby here, Jo.
Got some shopping done yesterday and plan to do more today. Going to see family this weekend in Houston and taking Christmas presents. Niece is getting married and the entire family will be there. So, excited! We will get a family picture at the wedding.
Checked out little Luney. He was squirming around on his tummy. I want to pick him up and cuddle him!!!!
Deb, I love your little canine friends. They are sooo cute! I would love to have a dog again, we have a cat, but Jack does not want another pet. Oh, well!
Will post pictures after the wedding Wanda. I am so excited to get a picture of everyone in their Sunday best.
Guess we think alike. That is why Jack does not want a dog...because of the traveling. Have to board Annie as it is. We had two keeshonds when the kids were growing up. Rikki, the last one, died while Laurel and I were away from home to her college orientation and placement testing. It was really hard and we have not had a dog since.

I just got a spam phone call telling me my Credit Union Card had been deactivated. HMMM, don't have an account at the credit union. When I called them to report it, they said whoever it is, is calling every phone number in town. They have about 10 different number reported so far that the calls are coming from.
Seems strange they would pick a small town bank, but I suppose they try everywhere. I am sure the bank called all their customers as soon as they found out. I can't imagine anyone falling for that animated voice, but they must have success or they wouldn't keep doing it.
I usually do too, but I had the phone tucked under my chin as I was loading the washer. Then when I heard Vermillion Federal CU, I got curious and wanted to report it. My phone in the basement doesn't have caller ID--upstairs I wouldn't have even picked it up.
SWEET HOME, Ore. — An Oregon woman who is out $400,000 after falling for a well-known Internet scam says she wasn't a sucker or an easy mark.
Janella Spears of Sweet Home says she simply became curious when she received an e-mail promising her $20.5 million if she would only help out a long-lost relative identified as J.B. Spears with a little money up front.
Spears told KATU-TV about the scammers' ability to identify her relative by name was persuasive.
"That's what got me to believe it," She said. "So, why wouldn't you send over $100?"
Spears, who is a nursing administrator and CPR teacher, said she mortgaged the house and took a lien out on the family car, and ran through her husband's retirement account.
"The retirement he was dreaming of — cruising and going around and seeing America — is pretty much gone for him right now," she said.
She estimates it will take two years to clear the debt that accumulated in the more than two years she spent sending money to con artists.
Her family and bank officials told her it was all a scam, she said, and begged her to stop, but she persisted because she became obsessed with getting paid.
The scheme is often called the "Nigerian scam" and it's familiar to many people with e-mail accounts. It still exists and it still works.
Spears first sent $100 through an untraceable wire service as directed by the scammers. Then, more multimillion dollar promises followed so long as she sent more money.
The scammers sent Spears official-looking documents and certificates from the Bank of Nigeria and the United Nations. President Bush and FBI Director Robert Mueller were also involved, the e-mails said, and needed her help.
They sent official-looking documents and certificates from the Bank of Nigeria and even from the United Nations, saying her payment was "guaranteed."
But it wasn't and now Spears is paying the price for her costly lesson.
"The hope is [other people] are not going to fall as hard as I fell," Spears said CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WOMAN FELL FOR THIS.:(
i THINK the Santa Ana winds have abated, and the firefighters are getting a handle on the wildfires to the north.
But it still feels hot, dry and desert-like ... could be imagination, but I think I can smell some of the smoke. It's quite a way to the north, but we are directly downwind from the fire, so we are getting smoke and ash here.
Should get over 80° today and hopefully the on-shore winds will moderate the heat-humidity feel.
We have them at Lake Yankton, too, Bob, but it is a small lake so there aren't that many there.
About 5 years ago during the spring migration, the geese got stranded here because of a spring blizzard in North Dakota. Every where you looked there were geese, fields, rivers, lakes. It was amazing to see.

OK so I am having quite a day here. Woke up to water spurting out of the street next door. Then took a guest touring for a while MTBR on the FTLOE Blog this weekend, and came home to find my street blocked off. Yep they are diggin and water is now off. Sitting at my computer I see a Fireman walk by my window. Open the door and there are fire trucks and I am told they have hit the gas line and to just stay inside for now. Mid American has been called to turn it off. Guess thats going to mean no heat and no water soon. I am still here and the news media has shown up. I have grabbed some important things to take out the door with me if they evacuate us though. And I work this afternoon. Good thing my dog comes to work with me at least.
I can't open the cam page now-'The page cannot be found' .......heading back outside anyway.. snow flurries here on and off all morning, sun keeps going behind clouds, wind gusting at 15-20 mph...brrr......
we had that happen here last week, Glo, had the news media in helicopters buzzing my back yard.., it was on a main road nearby, and they did evacuate people in the stores along the way, and there are around 4 gas stations where it happened.
Wowie Zowie, came home to a bunch of changes. Looks pretty sophisticated...now that I was able to get back into things... Truly amazing..pretty cool of Steve and Friends to "sneak" that one in today...
If I zoom back out w/o moving the pic, I get the regular size...if I move the pic around with the zoom, I have to reload the page to get the slightly bigger pic back...
HOLY COW, thanks STEVE, KATHLEEN AND JOHN AND ALL OTHERS. Came home from school to a new cam that is just wonderful. Can't wait to see our eagles at home now for sure.
It is 43 degrees here at this time. :( You can all keep your snow up there with you. :)
GLO, hope your goings on are settled down by now a little and you have heat and water. I came right home from school and turned our heat up for the night time. I guess it is time to get my down comforter out. I think our Indian summers are gone for this year.
MEGAN Just love your little dancing video. I love Charlie Brown. I think we all must have felt like dancing like that when we each found the new cam. Too cute.
To borrow a Pooh Expression that Megan used awhile back: I'm a "Bear of Little Brain" and I think it will take me a little while to get with all the new cam changes ..but I think it's going to be fun! Just watching the nest "move" is quite an experience
Good evening all. Many surprises....new cam stuff looks neat! Thanks Steve, John, Kathleen. But old NCTC page won;t open...had a heck of a time finding something in my favs that led me to the blog....any suggestions?
Sharon, I am so thankful that it was just the Lasix and not something else that could have been really problematic if double-dosed! Bet you are dry as can be!! Hope you are feeling better.
Margy, I remember a couple of reports of coyotes at GM, but mostly fox and bear!! Glad you got to watch the PBS show...wonderful, huh??
Hedgie - when I first opened up te new site, there is a place to the left top which had Shepherdstown Cam Daily - I think that is how I got in. I can't do any of the zoom things yet like Paula mentioned and the nest size is the same as before for me...gotta play around with it some...
Thanks, Hedgie. I was about to ask how to get into the blog ... I used a separate link I made last year. But, following your advice, I opened the site through beakspeak.com and looked for the link you mentioned for "Shepherdstown ... Daily."
I found it, but it was on the right hand side of the page near the top.
Have Fun Movin - everyone will have some good tips as the night goes on most likely... I am just muddling through...there are some zoom things that that Paula, Mema and Mits were posting earlier....
Okay - Good, Jim I am just plagiarizing comments from earlier - By the way, that link overnight to Alcoa, was Awesome! This insomniac really enjoyed it ! xo ♥ ♥

An estimated half million snow geese are on a layover in northeast South Dakota as they migrate to the Gulf States for winter.
Bill Schultze at Sand Lake National Wildlife Refuge says about 200,000 are on the refuge northeast of Aberdeen.
He says the geese are in no hurry to leave because temperatures are mild and food is available.
Schultze said several dozen eagles are following the geese to feed on dead or wounded birds.
About 150,000 ducks also have stopped at Sand Lake Refuge during the fall migration.
Can you imagine the noise level in Brown County??
wow....that's alot of geese:)
it is like that at Blackwater Refuge when the geese are there...really noisy
Hi, Jim are you repeating yourself today:)
It probably isn't your imagination, Jim, there are a lot of fires out there.
I love when the snow geese are at BW. When they all take off it is deafening. It sounds like a jet engine.
temp here was 37°, but has dropped to 35°, guess we have had our high for today....Verizon man is here, so don't know if my cable will go down or not.
BW is a beautiful place:)
Deb, next time you come east....might want to try and go to Zoo and Blackwater.
We have them at Lake Yankton, too, Bob, but it is a small lake so there aren't that many there.

OK I am ready for a blizzard instead.
Megan, I see flurries on the zoo cam, but nothing here yet, on radar looks like it is all around me
Check this out

Link Live Video
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!, JO, NEATO!
IS THAT GOOD OR
IS THAT GOOD
Yeah for live video!! Thank you, NCTC!!!
BOOYAH:):):)!
thanks, NCTC:)
Snowing here now.
Man oh Mighty!!!
This is so totally awesome!!!!
Who do we thank?
There is an eagle cam e-mail on the left, so left a message with them and also e-mailed Steve:)
Use the email address on for the
Eagle Cam Email!
Great isn't it! Look at the
volume button!!!
Still cam has date/time
I asked about the live cam having it
are you getting sound , Jo?
No sound here
And my recording device works on this feed! :)
OMG you can zoom in!!!!
and use the cursor to move the pic around....just right click to zoom in!!
When you zoom back out, however...the pic is smaller than your original pic...so you just have to reload the page
You can also view the live video in the pop up mode!!!
tried to look at Eagle updates, and it locked up on me, had to shut down and reopen it...
The downfall is there is no more rewinding!!! Bummer there!
did the pop-up mode and it does not give me a full pic, so, just staying on main page
No sound - hope it is to come
Zoomed in and then out and then had to hit show all. The pic is smaller but has a lot of detail.
I am using IE 6...everything works good for me.
They will need to fix the pop up ..
Liberty can't hide from us anymore
up at 12 noon.
I hope Steve gives up some directions so we take advantage of everything - however; I think we three testors haven't missed much if anything.
Jo, read above. Just refresh the page...comes back normal size.
Ha Ha no time to play yet but from reading the blog it does sound great.
Fire trucks have left and I will be on the news Ha ha that will be good. Atleast I have to work tonight.
Paula - do you get a full picture on the pop up
I have firefox
Wowie Zowie, came home to a bunch of changes. Looks pretty sophisticated...now that I was able to get back into things...
Truly amazing..pretty cool of Steve and Friends to "sneak" that one in today...
xo Nap time...
I right click and zoom in, and right click and zoom out, don't have to refresh here. It is just like the snowman cam.
Ok Starting down the road to Catonsville - Taking grandson
out to dinner...... BBL
have fun, Jo:)
My zoom out is now working properly
its like Christmas in November:)
Yes Jo, pop up live video is same size as regular video...
We've been working on the upgrade for a while now. Thanks to John and our web guru Kathleen for these superb efforts.
Thank you, Steve, John and Kathleen!! We appreciate it very much!
Thank you all so very much. Yes it does in fact feel like christmas in November.
Well, hooray!! Santa has been here early...Thanks, Steve, Kathleen and John...
Thank you Steve, Kathleen, John and whomever else helped!
There are a ton of happy dances going on right now!!
Happy Dance
If I zoom back out w/o moving the pic, I get the regular size...if I move the pic around with the zoom, I have to reload the page to get the slightly bigger pic back...
Steve - is sound in our future?
LOL, that's exactly it, Megan!!
Now all we need are some eagles :)
Actually, just one will do.
HOLY COW, thanks STEVE, KATHLEEN AND JOHN AND ALL OTHERS. Came home from school to a new cam that is just wonderful. Can't wait to see our eagles at home now for sure.
The new cam is just wonderful. Can't settle down, I am so excited. Now I sure wish that I was retired so I could sit home and watch 24-7.
Those people at NCTC are surely good to us!!!!!!!!!!!
Too cute.
OK While I am waiting for our beautiful eagles to show up, I am going over to check my email. BBL
Thanks, John, Kathleen and Steve:)
Cape Coral has a burrowing owl cam, too. Has that been there before or did I just miss it last year?
Darn, spidey's web is still there.
Eagle alert!!!
One just flew out....
They were both there...now the other just flew out too...
I recorded it..but eagle still just poofed off the nest...
Catch ya'll latero
That was P D Q !
Pretty Darn Quick...if you blinked you practically missed it !
Got my verizon fios....setting up a few things now...bbl
To borrow a Pooh Expression that Megan used awhile back: I'm a "Bear of Little Brain" and I think it will take me a little while to get with all the new cam changes ..but I think it's going to be fun! Just watching the nest "move" is quite an experience
Floralgirl -
Did you hear or see any Swans today?
I have been going outside a LOT but only hearing Canada Geese...
Nice buck at Pix Pa
Yes Hedgie ! I cannot thank you enough for giving us the times..... ♥ ♥ ♥
The railroad guys used to call in about the coyotes !
So many points on that buck: 10? more? He looks a little atypical....
what a Beauty !
Hedgie - when I first opened up te new site, there is a place to the left top which had Shepherdstown Cam Daily - I think that is how I got in. I can't do any of the zoom things yet like Paula mentioned and the nest size is the same as before for me...gotta play around with it some...
I meant to say Right Top - I think the experts on here will guide you through...comments earlier had some tips. -
Margy, I don't have anything on the right side of the page.
Okay..I clicked on NCTC Home and it brought up same page but with right side options showing, including blog!!!
I had used the one that Jo sent on Yahoo.....but on this one now have to click to get the cam.
I have put the cam things in favorites so it is easy to get to -
both live and still -
Thanks, Hedgie. I was about to ask how to get into the blog ... I used a separate link I made last year. But, following your advice, I opened the site through beakspeak.com and looked for the link you mentioned for "Shepherdstown ... Daily."
I found it, but it was on the right hand side of the page near the top.

Jim
OK, I get the still cam, and I get the live feed (with spider), but what is the story about "zoom," etc.??
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Have Fun Movin - everyone will have some good tips as the night goes on most likely...
I am just muddling through...there are some zoom things that that Paula, Mema and Mits were posting earlier....
Between 1300 and 1400 hours Jim -
Home Page:
NCTC Home Page
and navigate from there. Live cam does not have time and date on it yet, still cam does, and I don't have sound yet....haven't gotten that far yet
...compliments of John, web guru Kathleen, and Steve...
Thanks, Magpie. I just found the "zoom in" by right-clicking on the picture.
Then I discovered by trying it a second time that it will zoom in on whatever part of the picture that you have your pointer on when you click 'zoom.'

Jim
Okay - Good, Jim I am just plagiarizing comments from earlier - By the way, that link overnight to Alcoa, was Awesome! This insomniac really enjoyed it ! xo ♥ ♥
I see about zooming in where you have your pointer...thanks! Some were getting a larger nest view. Paula can probably tell us later about that...
