Happy post TDay to Everyone! No, I did not go shopping!! Been outside today before it gets really cold to plant the rest of my tulip bulbs in the front yard.So glad I have painkiller for tooth---I may need it!☺ ☺ ☺ If Margy, our resident astronomer has left for work this can wait, but just wanted to know what the 2 BRIGHT objects are in the sky. They are a tad S of due West, about 35-40 degrees up. Larger one is above the other. BBL - din din of levtovers--YUM!
Saturday, November 29 Last night was the first night that Lun Lun received all of her bamboo by 11:00 p.m. This is the process of "weaning" Lun Lun from her overnight care that Debbie mentioned earlier this week. The pandas are accustomed to getting all of their overnight bamboo before we leave around 5:30 p.m.every night; however, since we have been providing Lun Lun with fresh bamboo every few hours for the last 4 months, I expected at least a minor protest from her. I was pleasantly surprised that when she did get up to eat - she looked around expectantly for less than a minute before sitting down to eat her bamboo. I am very proud of her!

Helen, link doesn't work! And thanx for gif's hint!! FOund better stuff there than when I did avatar...but Margy likes my moose!! Guess he can stay for a few days.Well, glad to hear that Sis won't have to drag around a cast! With three out-of-commission adults, who's gonna cook the dinner tomorrow?? T-bird...are you a good cook???? Are you still "home" in Bluefield? On second thought, w/ weather forecast, hoping you have skeddaddled back to Bedford!
Thx, Helen on planet ID. I haven't read back yet. Lynn, that's exactly what I want to know. If he removed nerve, why do they give RX for pain pills???? Also got antibiotic to take.Go to reg. dentist in another week for permanent filling---or get cap right away & spend more $$.
Sissy is hopping around the kitchen making the desserts.
T-Bird says "Lynn, I will not be cooking Thanksgiving Dinner. Beverly is under contract that she has to cook Thanksgiving Dinner no matter what! Of course, we will help her eat it. Heading back to Bedford tomorrow".
Going to watch TV now. Hope all is well with everybody.
Hi there Sharon.Glad to hear you're better, but what a pickle you guys are in! Does Sissy have one of those desk chairs on wheels? She could use that if under gun from TBird!!LOL
Just in case I don't get back on here tonight, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE BLUEFIELD AND BEDFORD DELEGATION. All of you, just take a pain pill when you get up in the morning and ENJOY YOUR DAY;)
Rolling chair sounds like a good idea!! Just make sure it has a seatbelt!! We don't want her to fall off...LOL! ☺ ☺ ☺ Just finished watching/listening to Celtic WOman concert on PBS....love those Irish voices!! (I'm Irish, you know! Maiden name was McCann)
I've got Scots blood, too...have had the most luck in tracing those roots, and the German that's in the mix! Genealogy is so much fun...and work! Can't begin to total the number of hours my cousin and I have spent on it. McConcovia has a neat ring to it, Wanda!
Lynn...I can notice a difference in my 'puter already. It moves much faster. Grandaughter told me that I should do what you suggested about once a week.
I have tried to trace my grandfather Concovia back to Italy, but can't get passed Ellis Island. I know the town he cam from in Italy, but can't trace him back there. Don't know his Father or Mother's names. Not much to go on...very exciting to have found his name on the passengers list of the ship that he came over on and also a picture of the ship. He was 13 years old and it even told that he had $20.00 and was in good health.
Lynn, if you have a phone number you want to leave with me I will gladly call with Luney's official name & any other excitement that goes on while you are away. Just email me.
Will do, Jo. Thanks!! Wanda, the amount of info that they have available online is mind-boggling. The passenger lists are a great place to start. Don't know how extensive the records would be for Italy as far as trying to get birth records and such....The UK, I think, may be ahead of everyone else. And it's irritating here that census records are not released for 70 years...boo!
I am back home, it was starting to mist a little on the drive home, so I hope it doesn't turn into anything. I need to check the weather. The visitation was nice, lots of people came.
Puppies are up and at them! Was funny when they all came in off the porch thinking an adult was in the pen when they heard the small red ball squeaking... Amaya just found out how to do it with her foot...
Glad your turkey day was successful, Paula. I know you're not ready for your shovel yet, Deb. We are to have some rain in the forecast - not sure when or how much.
Except for tree, all inside decorating is DONE. OUtside just needs garland on the lamppost and wreath on garage. Guess they will wait til Mon. since rain forecast for all day tomorrow. Good night, fowl friends. Hope everyone sleeps well. Prayers for all.
Wellllll, I have to admit: That was a Shocking Announcement....thought I had missed out while in the shower.....maybe they will still come by....after all, we are up, don't they know this is about the first thing we do EVERY morning ??
GOOD MORNING MARGY... Yes, the sound you heard is what I heard and thought it was an eagle in our nest. A gaggle of geese just flew over the nest area. Cool sound.
Wanda, you will probably be the one to holler the alert...nest looks inviting, unfortunately, my pillows and blankie sound very inviting right now too, so I gots to hit the sack. See you Eagle People later.... (but you know I still got to batten down the hatches so I will be lurking for a few mins more.)
GOOD MORNING SHARON, Is Sissy cooking the turkey now? Who makes the dressing...that is more important to my family than the turkey. How are you feeling now? Did you get my message last night? (All of you should take a pain pill and enjoy your day ;);)
Sissy cooks everything but the macaroni and cheese and my sister-in-law will bring that. Dinner will probably be late because my s-i-l has never been on time for anything. I think she was late to her own wedding as a matter of fact. ☺ Don't know how my brother does it.
I can cook a little bit if I try, just don't normally try. Daddy used to be the big cook for all special occasions. I wish I had learned from him but oh well, it is what it is.
I am feeling some better at the moment. Always a little rough when I first get up in the mornings but it is smoothing out.
Andrew has been at Kelsey's (girlfriend) all weekend and will be home today. She lives above Charleston, WV in Winfield. I think her family just loves him but of course, who wouldn't, right? ☺
That's a 10-4 on Andrew! Maybe you could plan a nap before your family comes, then take a pain pill just before they arrive so you can enjoy the day. I do that with my Mom and it works very well for her. Hope you all enjoy each other and your day :)
Good morning everyone!! Thanks for all the well wishes. I am such a klutz! My ankle is very very sore but it is okay. Now that I know it isn't broken, I will just suck it up!! Turkey, pumpkin pies, peanut butter pie, and applesauce cake are done. Heading in the kitchen now to start on the dressing, peeling taters, etc.
I love being the cook in the family. It ensures company at least once a day!

Sounds yummy, Paula.
I am glad that Sissy didn't break anything, also. Sissy, you could be the armchair cook tomorrow. Just sit in a chair and tell everyone what to do!
Forecast is just 30% chance of flurries, no accumulation. From the looks of the radar, I don't even think that will happen.
