Lynn, my outing was okay but think I walked a little too far. Tom did a good job avoiding potholes, but around here it is impossible to avoid all of them. I have kind of felt a little feverish this evening although I have not been running a temperature.

Thanks, Glo,and Megan...got me an icy-hot patch, and aleve has been working really well, still have some good stuff from my surgery, but don't like to take anything that will make me more wacky than I already am
Good night, Sharon. Keep an eye on the temp--activity can make it go up, and not unusual for especially an evening elevation after surgery....but call Dr. immediaitely if it stays over 100°!!
Glo, I have to tell you how much our Maggie loves the eagle blanket I won a couple of years ago....I take it when I visit them, or, it is at the the beach when they come down....Maggie immediately lays down on it and pats the eagle:)
Sharon, don't make me come down there, stay put, ok to move around because you have to, but it has not been a week yet, since you had 2 majors surgeries
Just talked to (step)daughter who lives in Fort Myers Beach, Fla. She is not far from Cape Coral...she also said she sees a lot of white ibises in her neighborhood, and also there is a local "Scarlet Ibis." I referred to the "Intercoastal Waterway" a few days ago regarding that Osrpey nest...wrong coast! It's just a canal which connects to a bunch of bays and other waterways...
Friend in New York saw the Tundra Swans flying over a few days ago, said they are "headed my way..."
Good Hello Evening to everyone... Hope things are good in all the Eagle Corners...☺
Someone called in last night about an animal which had been struck on the highway, said she thought it was a coyote....said she looked several times and ruled out Big Dog. Officer who went to remove it could only say it had "Big Teeth.." I suppose it could have been coyote, we do have them hereabouts...Poor soul, wish it had stayed in its field.
It was a chance encounter when I heard them in Dec 2006 - - went outside to check the full moon sky, and heard the beautiful sound....waited, and above, a beautiful white fleet flew in from the North West...heading South East...
bbl, going to do a few things to puter to get it ready for the big hookup tomorrow with Verizon FIOS...hope it goes better than it did when Comcast came to give me high speed Internet, that took about a week.
Margy, when we were outside around 4 pm today , we saw 2 flocks of tundra swans fly over us- later just after dark I could hear them again, but couldn't see them.
Finished watching the PBS show...fantastic! What wonderful photography. And so fun watching the eagles play "rugby" with the food! I'm taping it on VCR in the morning if anyone needs to borrow it!!
Margy, I saw a coyote here back in the late winter....nearby farmer told my daughter there's a whole pack... that he's had to kill some who went after his cows. He said that when coyotes first reappeared here in Berkeley Co. it was right back here on Rustic Tavern Rd.
Early morning vet apptmt....Cinnamon having an ear problem....shaking her head so-o-o hard and scratching at them. So time for bath and then news and bedtime!! Don't forget Mason's candles! God bless us every one. Good night!
When Cohen was over here on Halloween, we ended up down here in the basement, with the other little boy. Cohen wanted to see animals on the computer. He would tell me which one, and I would look for that animal pic online, and we would look at it. Then it was on to the next one!
There is nothing quite like fun time with grandchildren. My favorite memory is reading to my first two...it was the only time they were quiet ;) Dustin wouldn't sit still long enough for me to read to him.
Paula, my dogs like the kennel for the most part, the people at the vet treat them so well and they like to see the other animals. Sam is blind (for about 2 years now) and they are very good with him, make sure he doesn't bump into anything, etc.
Wanda the unknown animal was on Shepherdstown Rd near Files Cross Roads....wouldn't surprise me if it was a coyote...just sorry it had to be anything to die like that....but mostly hope it was not a family pet...
Hedgie - we have had reports of coyotes near the GM plant in past years....
Sure enjoyed hearing all the grandchildren tales today....
Paula, Sam gets around so well, most of the time I forget he can't see. He won't jump down and doesn't like going down stairs. For stairs he will only go if he is on a leash and you walk right with him.
There has been a lot of "branching" activity by all three eyasses at Alcoa today, involving at least short flights to the top of the box, to the 'ledge' that surrounds the tank, and they have made it completely around the tank at least once.
Right now there are no birds in the nest box, so they could be branching more, or they could be all fledged today.
Take a look at Froona's blog, which has many pictures of their exploits today...and earlier if you scroll down. Also the small photo boxes are slide shows, and you might enjoy looking at those.
GOOD MORNING MAGPIE and all other feather and furry friends. Rats, I was laying there and forgot to turn on the PBS channel at 5am this morning. Missed the eagles again. :(
I was just about to say that not a creature was stirring, but Magpie and then looked in on the BWO nest to see the first eagle there. All other places seem MT; our nest, Maine, Pa woods, and snowman cam.
It sure does look like our cam is stuck on the 17th at 5:58 in the pm. :( Someone needs to go out there and give it a good kick to get is working again.
DANA Trying to see an eagle or two and say HI while I get time for once. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with the one at BWO. I fell asleep on the couch for the first time in awhile last night, but woke up early and hit the bed. Sometimes the couch is just so comfortable and cozy.
Brayden's first year party was so great. He was a blast! He really didn't like touching the icing. He was given his baby spoon and bounded away. I cut a piece and put on top of cake and that did it. Hands and all he couldn't resist then. lol
I just lost my comment. I was saying that the kids will have a good day at school, but I will have a better day when it is Friday afternoon.
I had to go to school this Saturday for a half day as we missed a day two weeks ago due to the noreaster. :( Sooooo I only had Sunday to enjoy peace and quiet.
And with that, I had better hit the road for school. I get in there early and set things up before the kids arrive. You both have a wonderful day. It has been good to finally be talking on here to someone. I don't get much time now that school has started. Love and hugs!!!

Got some pretty little birds at Pix Pa, they got some snow overnight... nothing here, but I just watched my neighbor scrape ice off her windshield...what an unpleasant task...
Oh, nice large fish in the platform with the Eagles at BWO -
Good morning wonderful eagle friends. We have about 3 inches of snow on the ground and still snowing. No school today. Mattie will be tickled. Waiting on a morning visitor. Lun Lun is pacing alot this morning.
Hey there Sissy-Gal - Yay for Mattie ! Snow days are the Best! I guess Justin won't be too disappointed either, unless he has a gal pal that he won't get to see at school ! ♥ ♥
But Wanda - you have your cool little SUV now....you are going to have to test drive it in the snow, but glad it is not going to have to be today ! xoxo Best wishes on the doctor visit with GeeGee, please give her a Magpie Hug for me ! ♥ ♥

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 318 of 318OK Sharon, think I have one of them not to far from house, thanks
Mits The local chiropractors around here carry it. Maybe you could call them. Hopefully they will sell it to you without snap crackle pop first.
Sharon Hope you are doing well. I am sure you are glad your surgery is over.
Glo, I am really grateful the surgery is over and I am doing better than I ever anticipated. So grateful for that.
How are you feelig this evening, Sharon? Hope your trip out wasn't too much for you...did Tom avoid the potholes, etc.?
Lynn, my outing was okay but think I walked a little too far. Tom did a good job avoiding potholes, but around here it is impossible to avoid all of them. I have kind of felt a little feverish this evening although I have not been running a temperature.
Good night and sweet eagle dreams, my friends of fine feathers and fur.

Mits Thank you so very much for telling me that. I am so glad that she loves that blanket. She has good taste :)
Maggie was always our littlest eaglet
and she still is in my book.
That is very touching Mits.
And Sharon - NO POPCORN
Very very proud of your not smoking!
even if she is not tired, we lay there for awhile, just relaxing and talking about eagles....well, I do most of the talking
...Sounds Dreamy, MITS - I still replay (in my mind) your voice saying "And this is the Baby" from your television spot from the Zoo..... ♥ ♥
yes, Tai really is still the baby to me....I really try now to say, "and this is our youngest Giant Panda, Tai Shan our 3 year old"
Well that is an awesome picture in my minds eye Mits. I bet we can all picture it in our hearts. How very special.

One of these days I will spell OSPREY correctly, more often at least....I'm about 50-50 when I type it.

make sure you get outside and look for them, Margy....I am soooo missing the beach this time of year.
It was a chance encounter when I heard them in Dec 2006 - - went outside to check the full moon sky, and heard the beautiful sound....waited, and above, a beautiful white fleet flew in from the North West...heading South East...
they called 911, because they saw an animal with big teeth on the side of the road??
Dr. Bombay, Dr. Bombay, emergency, come right away!
bbl, going to do a few things to puter to get it ready for the big hookup tomorrow with Verizon FIOS...hope it goes better than it did when Comcast came to give me high speed Internet, that took about a week.
Okay, really good night this time. See you all in the morning and sending lots of love!
lol....Sharon, say Good Night:)
Nighty Night Dobule E-S - If you have the Magpie Syndrome you will be back on one or two more times, but you just better have the Get Well Syndrome!
The call to 9-1-1 was mostly because it was a hazard in one of the travel lanes...
Just switched over to my Thayer's Guide and listened to the Tundra Swans....aaaaaahhhhhh !

Daughter got an inch of snow "down" in Shanghai--it's about 15 miles south of me. All I got was a little rain and sleet!
Early morning vet apptmt....Cinnamon having an ear problem....shaking her head so-o-o hard and scratching at them. So time for bath and then news and bedtime!!

Aww Deb, I had forgotten Sam can't see. Best to take them to the same place so he is familiar with the sounds and smells at least.

Nice Segue - I hear Eagles in Maine
I loved the Ice-Skating Eagles....and the Jumping Eagle reminded me so much of Baby Littley when we visited the nest June 7 - Yeah, what a show...
Whew - those naturalists, the two film guys - they were good weren't they??
And now I am just waiting for OUR BIRDS - and my Eagle ♀ and ♂ Buds

Good Morning to You !! ♥
Good Morning
Did you watch the show on PBS?
Oh, Yes.....It was Great!
Have you seen it ??
Do you have DirecTV?
Oh Dear, I see the time on OUR NEST cam is not advancing....
We do have an Eagle at BWO - -
Hey DANA, what gets you up so early?
Morning Candy
Catching an eagle fix before school?
Hee hee Candy I fell asleep on the couch early watching the football game. Got some good sleep then.
Hey there Candy! So good to see you...
I have so few TV channels, DANA - Hedgie posted that it would be on PBS this morning so I got up to watch it!
Watching our nest right now is like watching grass NOT GROW !
It sure does look like our cam is stuck on the 17th at 5:58 in the pm. :( Someone needs to go out there and give it a good kick to get is working again.
I thought so too Candy and Margy when I turned it on. Quit cold out there. Maybe the cell froze.
I'm hoping for something in Maine-
funny how the OUR cam just....Stopped...wonder what makes that happen??
Have a good day with the children today, Candy - I'm sure it will be a good day for them!
xoxox ☺ ☺ ♥ ♥
DANA Trying to see an eagle or two and say HI while I get time for once. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with the one at BWO. I fell asleep on the couch for the first time in awhile last night, but woke up early and hit the bed. Sometimes the couch is just so comfortable and cozy.
They will replay it. Usually do have replays on these shows. Right now I'm watching to beautiful polar bears on the Science Channel.
Ha Ha - all our messages back and forth are "crossing in the mail."
BWO is pretty reliable for an early morning show, that's for sure..
The link that Jim posted has some Fabulous slide shows of the fledgling Peregrine falcons at Alcoa!
Brayden's first year party was so great. He was a blast! He really didn't like touching the icing. He was given his baby spoon and bounded away. I cut a piece and put on top of cake and that did it.

It's a wonder the blogger cop hasn't gotten one of us .. funny.
DANA That must have been a precious moment. Kids are wonderful to watch and be with, no matter what age.
Two Eagles at BWO
We have lite snow on ground. Did you get any Margy?
That will be a nice weekend Candy.
GOOD MORNING LADIES...
I just got up...have I missed a visit?
I've been waiting to hear about the Birthday party, DANA, sounds funny - the bigger the mess, the more the fun!
Candy - I can post what Hedgie had about the other broadcasts, let me go find it again...
And with that, I had better hit the road for school. I get in there early and set things up before the kids arrive. You both have a wonderful day. It has been good to finally be talking on here to someone. I don't get much time now that school has started. Love and hugs!!!
Two Eagles at BWO now, drink it up !
xo
Not a drop of snow here, Dana. How about in town, Margy?
WANDA Hi to you too before I sign off. Good to see you are up and getting ready for the PJ club. It is school for me. Later gator

Later Candy been good! Have a Nice Day..
ty Margy for brinning that over for us and thanks Lynn.
You don't have any snow Wanda? Looks cold (it is) and slippery out.
Yep - to borrow an expression from you Wanda - "Like Watching Grass Grow "- NOT !
Here I was all excited that I could watch in time without missing it like I usually do...
Sigh.....
Thanks to you, Margy for posting that rerun information...anyone who hasn't seen the show, it is really worthwhile to watch. I enjoyed it very much.

Yes, we are frozen up here....Wah!
I emailed Steve...hope he can help us :)
My cam has the right time on it but has the rainbow at the top. Poop!!
But Wanda - you have your cool little SUV now....you are going to have to test drive it in the snow, but glad it is not going to have to be today ! xoxo Best wishes on the doctor visit with GeeGee, please give her a Magpie Hug for me ! ♥ ♥

Well you got more than we do, Sissy. I have already reset it once and don't have the rainbow yet...
Well, we can always Watch Arthur on PBS - - -
