Will there be some place where we can acess photos and video clips that have been saved? I'm already feeling so empty. And poor Baby looks so alone!

Yes!!

I was looking at the hookup just before 9 am, the male was perched and leaning where his sister took off from......

The pic refused to refresh!!!!

So I actually missed the takeoff...I hope somebody has the video clip.

Have a great day.

HEY KIDS----What will Spunky do? I feel soooooo sorry for her, I didn't feel like "CHEERING" when I saw INBETWEEN take off------Jo--I am really suffering from the "Bird Fleeeeew"------!!!!!!!

Bet Mom/Dad will bring on the FOOD now--------Poor Substitute---

Mom has come to check on Spunky!

glo said...

Thanks Sharon...yep I am off today. I'll watch for it to come in. I will add it along with last nights gorgeous shot of her about 8 pm. Hopefully today we can figure out how to link one of them to a clip of the takeoff...somewhere!!

YES----- A TRUE "Mom"-----I know---we always think FOOD heals all pain-------Maybe I should stop watching & eat!!!!!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Actually "movin" we are pretty sure BigBoy was a boy because he was smaller than InBetween, whom we believe is a girl. Just the opinion of many of us.

Anonymous said...

Sharon, you have mail. Thanks. I missed this one also, after keeping an eye on her since 7 this a.m. DARN!!!! I'm running out of chances.

You may be confusing me, Sharon...

The biggest one, the first to fly, is female; the other two youngsters are male...that's the way I see it.

Sorry I didn't keep up on the nicknames too well.

Spunky looks big now. Nothing to compare him to anymore. I am so sad/happy/sad/happy!!

GLO, BEAUTIFUL SHOT OF MS IN-BETWEEN. THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE TIME TO WATCH THE EAGLES, WHEN THE SUN IS GOING DOWN, EVERYTHING SEEMS SO MUCH CLEARER.

glo said...

The videos from March 2005 were taken about 5 minutes from my house along the Mississippi in the Quad Cities IL. area...I went every day, camera in hand...wish I had a huge expensive one, but anyway, I couldn't stay away. There were so many you couldn't begin to count them. I loved to hear them as well!

10:07am Jo-MD What a joy to read all these comments! My heart really started pounding as I brought up the Eagle Cam after seeing the live feed was still down. Then I stared at Spunky all alone & swore that if that blog isn't up - well it was. I quickly read all your wonderful remarks & thank you Sharon for the pic & hope Glo & you can get the clips together. Hopefully Steve will be able to give us something like FRAPS did for BigBoy. I stayed up late last evening watching the Cam thinking I would see BigBoy come to the nest - I am sorry I missed the 9am first flight of Ms.Inbetween - perhaps she and BigBoy will come back to visit in a day or two. I think our illness has elevated to a Bird Flew II level.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I definitely feel that we are in the advanced stages of "bird flew II". If all this excitement doesn't end soon, I am going to get fired!! Well maybe not!

glo said...

No clip "Live feed down for us..Steve is working on something. Pictures are floating aorund though and updated onto the Eagle website I have made for "All of us"

Steve Chase said...

We just went outside to look for the fledgling. There was one bald eagle soaring high over the nest. Couldn't tell if it was an adult or not.

Just think! Soon, very soon, it will be Bird Flew -All Gone!
I love all you Eagle Mom's & Dad's!
I am so happy for today - Thanks everyone for keeping the faith - I just know that we will see all 3 visiting in the nest one day.....Gotta get pictires of that reunion!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Steve, thanks so much for letting us know. I knew you would come through for us when you got back.

For all of you that may need a "Feathered Friend Friend" fix when this nest is empty. Check out this Osprey Camera http://67.86.143.68:81/view/index.shtml

Maybe someone can tell my why/how a blue bear got in the nest?

Baby is sure thinking about trying it!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Oh my God, he is on the launching pad. Still a little too early (I hope) for him to go!! He needs to eat and grow for a few more days.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I was just wondering where the live feed is!

glo said...

Spunky is not the only one who isn't ready for "Spunky to fly yet"!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Glo - tell it sister. He really is not the only one not ready. I don't want it to end yet!! I ain't ready!!!

glo said...

uumm hmmm and I will sit here and wath that empty nest often this weekend if I have too. Maybe we need to assign shifts. We have to get pictures of any and every return we can get. Justa thought. maybe send the times you either could watch or couldn't watch. OH my It's a lot like waiting up for the kids. Steve is probably chuckling at us.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

He probably is chuckling at us. I sure do wish Spunky would get off that launching pad. It makes me nervous. I don't think he is quite ready yet. He has lots of room now to practice though. He needs to utilize that. Has anybody seen a parent this morning? They can't get busy teaching the other 2 and leave Spunky helpless.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Look how he is leaning over the edge of that nest. SIGH!! Can't stand it. WE NEED THE LIVE FEED REALLY, REALLY BAD!!!

Anonymous said...

SHARON, I POSTED LAST NIGHT, THAT I THOUGHT THE LIVE FEED WENT OFF LAST THURSDAY AND DID NOT COME BACK ON TIL MONDAY. DO YOU REMEMBER THAT HAPPENING? IT SEEMED LIKE IT WAS OFF FOR MOST OF THE WEEKEND, OR MAYBE IT JUST SEEMED TO BE OFF FOR A LONG TIME.

Anonymous said...

Sharon, a parent popped in quickly after InBetween left, but didn't stay long.

Spunky keeps looking down. I hope InBetween didn't crash under the tree!

Anonymous said...

Major wing flapping here 11:42 AM June 9th "he is saying this is where they took off from I want to follow them; hay wait up I'm coming"........will he or will he wait another day

Anonymous said...

SUZANNE, I'VE BEEN TALKING TO PEOPLE ON THEIR MSG. BOARD AND IT IS REALLY INTERESTING, HOW THE VOUNTEERS WAIT FOR THEM TO FLEDGE. I KNOW THEY ARE MESSY, BUT I'M GLAD THEY DON'T POOP-SHOOT OFF THE LEDGE, THEY WOULD HAVE TO CLOSE OFF THE STREET.

Anonymous said...

Sunny, In-Between is OK. She's on a branch below the nest, flapping like crazy.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

THANKS SO MUCH FOR TELLING US ABOUT IN-BETWEEN. THANK YOU.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Steve, can somebody go out and get pictures of her? That would be so cool.

glo said...

sunny Where are you that you can see her. Its so good to get a report. Probably why spunky is giving us heart failure quite frequently this morning...peaking over thinkin. He's know where she is the wohole time.

glo said...

LOL Sharon I think I would like to be a fly on the wall at NCTC today...eagles, cameras, BLOGS and humans all wanting something ASAP!!!

Anonymous said...

Thanks Sunny for telling us that is why he is looking down all the time. She probably is saying oh come on brother. Don't be such a whisp. Just flap and jump and keeping flapping". You know how brothers and sisters are even if he's not ready she got to tease him. lol

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I am thinking that anonymous that posted where InBetween is was Steve, answering Sunny's question from earlier about what Spunky was looking at. Might not have been Steve but probably somebody from NCTC.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Kind of quiet on the home front at the moment - both in the nest and on here.

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

You know, he might just be enjoying the peace and quiet!! Don't have to be worried about being awakened by flapping of wings all around him!

glo said...

LOL I thought too. Well guess Spunky is trying to relax. I'll bet that little heart has been doing lots of fluttering too.

Anonymous said...

Live feed is up

Anonymous said...

Guess he has decided time to rest and hope Mom/Dad brings him some yummy food. Practice later on my wing flapping. Got to impress my "watchers" hee hee. Maybe I'll decided for take off another day. Come on food.

glo said...

Thanks for the headsup on the live feed. Good morning Spunky...got ya in real time now. Feel free to just sit still and rest for a while though!!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Thanks for much for getting the live feed back on. We so appreciate it.

glo said...

Look at 1 o'clock position just to right of barn roof. i think there is a good size black bird in that tree.

Of course he flew there. tell me its not Bird flew hallucinations again!!

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

Why do you reckon there hasn't been a feeding?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I don't see it Glo, where?

Eagle-Eyed Sharon said...

I have to say that Spunky looks so at ease, flaked out and enjoying the scenery.

glo said...

Well Sharon I don't see it now either LOL. But I really do think that I did. I'll kep watching over in that spot for movement. My live feed keeps stalling out. Think I need to reboot.

No more guessing who's who in the nest now :(

It's just Spunky!

paula eagleholic said...

The guess will be which eaglet returned!

Anonymous said...

Is NCTC aware that the live cam is down>

Anonymous said...

4:55 PM Live Cam still down. Been watching since they were egglets and been away all day so I missed the second fledge - the nest looks so empty and Spunky so lonely and I know we are all happy and sad at the same time. I hope they will keep the site up to keep us informed of what they do or do not know about the health and welfare of our young eaglets! And what do the parents do now? Do they use the nest or just leave it until next year? Still lots to learn... for me this has been a wonderful, educational, exciting experience and I've enjoyed everyone's comments and knowledge. And I know we will all be here next spring to see what happens.... Best Wishes to you all!
