WHAT A HEARTLESS JERK THIS GUY IS!!!!! MANTOLOKING, N.J. — Authorities say a surgeon chased down a gaggle of geese with his boat and killed a gosling with a rake in Ocean County.
The New Jersey State Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals officers arrested Michael Coyle at his Mantoloking summer home Saturday.
Witnesses told police the orthopedic surgeon was driving his boat in a lagoon off Barnegat Bay trying to run down geese. Witnesses then said Coyle docked the boat and went after the fowl with a rake, killing a gosling.
The 62-year-old from Princeton could be ordered to perform community service or sent to jail if convicted of needlessly killing an animal.

Yuck! Dave.....so sorry! Will be thinking of you!
WHOOOHOOO, YEAH RAH! COMING AND GOING BUT BETTER THAN NOTHING AT ALL! Maybe the thingy needs water put in it?

Dave - Water clean up is not my most favorite thing to do. Hope you have some help and that the flooding has receded. Won't say I am as anxious to see the basement pics as I am your eagle pics!
Do you suppose (TINY--LITTLEY--#3) is playing with the cam----so we can't see what she is doing?----She is a CLEVER one!!
Don't want to jinx things BUT
Thank you NCTC crew
Moving around on the launch pad...

DAVE, you may want to check with your insurance company. Sometimes they will pay someone to clean up water damage and yuck. So sorry this happened to you.
You can do it!
RED, thanks for the report on Vicky. Was that 217° in her car or on her Eagle Stick?
I have always thought reporters ask the dumbest questions in a disaster, what do they think the people will say?
I think I agree with you Deb.
I saw those wings go but headed in the wrong direction.
Little Poop is still there but really hiding under cam
Just barely sticking out under the cam!
I have got to go and mow, no wind and no rain. BBL
Come Out
Come Out
Wherever you are
WIND is blowing so hard in SCOTLAND NEST----The little one is lying down & trying to get his face into the nest!!---MOM is attempting to weather the storm!!----
Parent in nest..mantling...parent gone...Tiny eating fish :):)
Wanda, 217 degrees was car. No report on the stick yet except it is beautifu.
Good drop. Maybe they know she is not ready yet. Definitely not trying to starve that youngun out of the nest.
DEB---You hit it on the nail head!!----I THINK #3 LOVES BEING THE ONLY CHICK IN THE NEST!!!---LIFE IS GOOD FOR HER!!---She teased us all day Sat.---thinking each wing flutter would be it----
(little actress)----
I haven't seen any food today. Has there been any?
up and moving again. across to nest to 12 0'clock back to launch pad.
and the cam goes nutz!
With the food drop - there won't be a flight going out of the nest today, I don't think.
Maybe Belle & Lib are too busy with the fishing lessons for Pearl & Middy!
Good morning eagle lovers! It sounds like the trip to the nest on Saturday was a real success, especially because all of our eagle family attended. Was more food just brought in?
I think so, Sharon
Although I didn't see it
Tiny is eating something that wasn't there earlier
Maybe a sibling dropped in from the limb above lol
I am half way done with the back yard, came to check and see Tiny is eating. The little eaglet is enjoying the good life!
I saw a parent there in between the camera messing up and Baby Littley was mantling a little bit.
Larry is on the loon cam!
I should say, I assume it is Larry. He is waving at the cam.
Duck down, Larry, we can't see your face!
Yeah, Deb - Tiny is probably enjoying having the house and the dinner table to herself.
I changed my picture to a kestrel in honor of my new family.
And there he goes. He was holing something from the nest in his hand.
They are very pretty birds, Carol!
Girlfriend ain't never gonna want to leave that nest!
Can't say as I blame her on that one! I wish I had a nest I could hide out in and be alone sometimes....:~)
Larry is back and showing more nest stuff. He must have seen that his face wasn't in the cam.
Hi Carol! Enjoy those Kestrels - they really are beautiful birds.
Sat was the greatest & now everyone
is looking forward to Oct 18th.
Check out some of the 1st fledge videos if you have time under Glo - Deb & Paula.....
That was a quick Larry visit. I will load the clip after I mow.
Pearl & Middy must not be near the nest or they would have dropped in for lunch!
I'll give you 3 guesses who that is.
Lib and I would venture to say Pearl are in a tug of war over the food. Pearl won that round but Lib is still there.
HI CAROL!!---I was sorry you couldn't join us Saturday---It was a hot one---but when you were watching the EAGLES & EAGLETS---didn't notice!!---WANDA & CAPT. saved us---They took the RV & FED US TOO!!----Wasn't that COOL!!---We saw a RED WING BLACKBIRD!---I told the others you have lots of those up your way!!----I LOVE THE KESTRELS!----They are just TOO BEAUTIFUL!!---Weren't you lucky!---

yup, that's our Pearl...never miss a meal eaglet.

Video of Loons and Bloons
Norma - I missed being there on Saturday too. Momster get-togethers are always fun. I'm gonna try to make it in October. I guess I'll have to start a savings account now for the gas for that trip! How's the weather down your way? It's 84 up here on this mountain, but it doesn't feel too bad, as there is a breeze and the humidity is only 45%, according to weather.com. We don't have A/C in the office - but I don't mind, because I don't have A/C at home and it's always cooler up here.
Anne Marie emailed me & I can't get the OR site up - Can some of you try?
can you check on the Oregon nest for me?. Its suppose to be snowing again which is really unusual and I cant reach it from work. Its all over the news of this freak spring.
