Nah, Sissy, I was listening! I just happened to notice that a new thread was up and was trying to be the early bird that caught the thread! You could have kept blogging over there and reached #300... And you, were the one that saw all the Eagles, so you can talk to yourself all you want!
Sorry I didn't put something on the old thread to let you know.
Headed out to the VA Center to spend some time with the Veterans.
Sissy - I think some or all of us don't have the sound at Hummer nest now...did you see my comment, I think what you saw, the "anteater", was a Coati, for which there is info on the open-up page on the Hummer cam....
Continuing prayers for Anne-Marie's daughter in law and all the family today...
Yeah, I lost sound too. I did see that message. It is so cool, I love this camera, sound or no sound. Liked it better with the sound but I do medical transcription, so I need to listen to the docs instead of the birds (would rather listen to the birds, though, just wouldn't get paid for that!). :)
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... Margy, I've been wanting to tell you that I, too, remember Swinging Bridge. We have been going over there since I was a little girl. My dad use to pull his car into the water (on the low side) and wash it. I thought that was wonderful! I have MANY stories of the Swinging Bridge.
Chrissy has posted a SAD REPORT (yahoo email) on the Loch Garten nest, the youngest chick seems to have died, more information to be posted later on their site. Seems just too little, and got overtaken by one of the other chicks.
Good Morning, COSTUME LADY, yes Swinging Bridge, and you must have had the joy of being able to actually BE on the swinging bridge when it was still there...what beautiful memories of that place...
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---CONGRATS!!--MAGPIE---Our #1 EAGLE MOM today & every day!!!----It has been forecast that today will be a HOT--HUMID--LOUSY DAY!!---WOW!!---We will IGNORE that!!---We will look forward to another GLORIOUS JUNE DAY!!----SUN shining--birds singing -- flowers blooming--temp. 69° this am here in WV ---- HOME OF LIBERTY & BELLE----PLUS 3 FREE-LOADING MOUNTAINEERS"----"LIVE" IS GOOD TOO STEVE!!!----LIFE IS GOOD!!---ENJOY CHATTING AWAY WITH YOUR MOMSTER FRIENDS!!!----LIVE---LOVE ----& BE THANKFUL!!!!
Good morning all! Haven't been up long. Getting ready to start work.
I don't know what Swinging Bridge you all are talking about but I used to love getting on those. When Andrew was little, he used to call them swanging bradge! Daddy even built him a little one on his playground in the back yard. Still there.
GOOD MORNIN' MAGPIE--BEV---WANDA & VICKY!!----VICKY--I pray that you have missed all the flooding!!---Let us know---have been thinking about you!!---Understand GLO is in AZ!!!
The Swinging Bridge that we have been talking about is about 10 miles outside of Martinsburg. Many fond memories. It was a gathering place for people of all ages, but especially the teens. We swam, had picnics and cookouts and of course, walked on the Swinging Bridge. That was before Drugs and Drinking.
GOOD THURSDAY MORNING EVERYONE Heat and Humidity are on the way back, plus 'smoke from the fires" don, don, don, da, da don, don, remember that song:) Prayers for all in need today, for healing and safe travels...well actual words were smoke on the water, I think, but anyhow, will be breezing towards us
NORMA - Anne-Marie was posting late yesterday afternoon. Her daughter in law was having growths removed from her spinal cord, and Anne did not know if they were going to be found to be benign or not. She was waiting for a phone call, got it, and posted, that it was not good news. That's what we have so far. A dear daughter in law that is more like a daughter than a DIL.
I scanned last nite's blog!!---I am so sorry--ANNE MARIE---I will keep your daughter-in-law & family in my thoughts & prayers!!!---Please give us an update when you have time---GOD BLESS----
MORNIN' HELEN---DEB sent me a pic of the FINNY NEST----3 little CHICKS!!----I MISS that nest!!---Pray they all survive!!---Last year--one died!---just left one--but he SOARED HIGH----I think our hearts went with him !!!
Good morning, normabyrd. He is just munching and hanging out, what he does best. I love those bears!! The hummers have been really busy too. Real pretty bird as been at the hummer feeder, gray with a black head. Wish I knew what it was. I will have to research it when I am not working and have time to dig. Sorry to hear about Anne Maries' daughter-in-law. We will certainly pray.
Been 6 years today since Daddy died, been missing him and Mommy alot.
The pink flamingo CHICK was next to MOM'S foot!----MOM stepped down off the mound---Little one looked down---but stayed up on mound!!---brave little thing!!
WANDA---Just read your note telling VICKY to use her EAGLE STICK to get rid of the flooding!!-----Think about it!!!---With that EAGLE STICK---She could 'FLOAT' right down to the mouth of the MISSISSIPPI!!!
Bedford wildlife report -- there is a crow in the backyard with 3 mockingbirds trying really hard to chase it off. Funny sight because they keep swooping down on it and it will duck and then try to eat. Two feet away is a bunny that seems really oblivious to all of this! :)
PA PERGRINE FALCONS' SITE!---Haven't seen any falcons there lately----But I read there are 2 juvies & FEMALE PARENT---have been there!---The roost on the other high bldgs. in area!!
Good Morning everyone! Lots of news here on the blog - Helen - I see you went POOF Today is a haircut day for me.. Getting ready for the hot & humid weather headed our way! Checking out some cams - missed the clouded leopard earlier..love the markings on them. Headed for emails........ BBL
Wanda I should have stayed on a little longer last night so I would have know you were there. Loved the pictures! NN is really beautiful! Those second facials done just right and spread over the bod are just great!
Deb If you go back to yesterdays posts....you could be #300 post and earn a facial. It is just waiting there for you! LOL
Hello, just heard from Ceil, they are right outside of Pittsburgh, she is still not feeling well, says her eyes are to the skies, but not seeing anything, will be stopping in Illinois or Indiana tonight
All have a nice weekend. I'm taking tomorrow off to do my Saturday stuff (and nap), so I will be half way alert on Saturday for the Osprey banding.
Lisa cannot go, she has to work this weekend, so I'm sorry I'm not going to finally get to meet her. But I believe Bob Quinn is still going, and Loretta (NatureNut) is going, and I have no earthly idea who else is going to be there. In any case, Momsters will be represented!
Should be a great time, and a good learning experience.
Have a great weekend, all. I'll take pics and send them around. Can't put them on Momsters anymore, bummer.
Have a fun weekend, Suz. Sorry Ceil isn't feeling any better--what a way to start a cross-country trip. Hey, Vicki...glad you are alive and well! Thought maybe you'd taken the stick for a really l-o-n-g walk! Wanda, Margie, Dana...by the time I came here ('71) the Swinging Bridge was in pretty bad shape...missing boards, etc. Barely safe...but safe enough for 22 yrs. old...crossed it CAREFULLY! THink they attempted repairs a few times but vandals undid it. Last time I saw it beofre they took it down it was so overgrown w/ brush that you couldn't get near it. I always heard that at nighttime it was a "lovers' lane" spot...true???
Just as I have to leave. I am off to eye doctor. I got a few good pictures of the heron and pelicans. I will have to go back on a sunny day. By the time I got there it was sprinkling and a downpour when I left. I will post them later, when the dilating stuff wears off.
Just had a (broad-winged, I think) hawk perched right outside the sunroom. Also saw several bluebirds earlier...not to mention the always present cards and jays! I've never seen the bluebirds here when there wasn't snow on the ground!
I saw a man in Martinsburg today walking up the street from the train station, and he was sporting a lovely Eagle Walking Stick! I had to ask him where he got it....his daughter worked at the Springs Mills Rocs (Shell Station, near Exit 2o I-81) and got it for him a few years ago. I told him about the NCTC Eagle Site, and about VICKY's Eagle Walking Stick. I will have to check out the Rocs to see if they still have them.
COSTUME LADY: Your artwork and makeovers, are too much for words! I enjoy going back and looking at all of the Facials....
Swinging Bridge, does indeed hold many memories. I consider myself very fortunate that I am OLD ENOUGH to have seen and walked on the little foot bridge before its unfortunate demise.
Meteor Showers predicted for tonight, the Bootids....should start around 10:30 and last through the night. Hope there are some to see...Make Wishes on the "shooting stars" if you see them.
I, the LONE SWORDFISH, am headed for a LONG NAP right now so I can do a little stargazing later. Back to work Friday for Five Tens....
Happy Hot PM!My Live cam croaked. Doin' chores around the house, but last evening I saw a house wren going in and out of the empty house where the other family fledged! It was redecorating!!!!---removing some grassy tidbits and nice feathers!Today a pair was busy in "Magnolia Acres". We may have new tenants in the future. At least it wasn't quiet anymore! I'm bummed that Lisa can't come to PRP on Sat. Was looking fwd to meeting her. Well at least 3 of us on the blog will be there! Have also been checking the hummer cam & saw more bees and flies than birds! Later---washer & drier await
Dearest Momsters...if you have sent me e-mails on Yahoo, please excuse my lack of response! I didn't know that I was getting them until Magpie mentioned it today. I have never used Yahoo mail! So I logged on and see that I have 390 messages....but it won't let me open the Inbox. Argh-h-h! I'll keep trying. But I will also check my AOL address box on my login, and maybe that will direct your e-mails to that address which is what I use!
GOOD AFTERNOON...Thought I'd jump on here while I have the chance. Grandson is elsewhere right now.
It is sooo hot. I picked beans (about a gallon) and watered my pepper plants and lima beans. I am soaked. Love doing this gardening work, but, when I come in, I look like a hurricane swept me up and dropped me off! Seems I sweat so extreamly profusely and it runs into my eyes and I can't see what I am doing. Must have too much sodium in my body. Have to work on that. ANNE-MARIE... You have received your FACIAL and photo has been posted. Hope you like the results.
Dana, I'll have to get Gene to take the FISH TEST and see what he turns out to be....probably and ANGEL FISH. OOOHHH, I am so corny! I'll try to get him on here after supper.
DIL is out of surgery. Biop showed several tumors were cancer and they have been removed. No nerve damage has been reported. All reactions are normal and she has all movement and feeling in legs and arms. There will be more removed at another date. She is in recovery now. I will go up this weekend to stay with her. Thank you all for your sweet prayers. You are loved and appreciated. Anne.
Yes, Jo, sounds like the first round for Anne-Marie's Daughter in Law has had some blessings attached to it. You are a good Momma for keeping us updated, and comforted.
HEDGIE: When I first signed on, I had a box, unchecked somewhere, and the first day I was getting ALL of the Blog commments going to my yahoo email...glad I caught that one in a hurry. For a brief time I thought I was really popular with all those incoming messages! Don't Panic: We can resend important stuff to you... I just hope your computer didn't get all frozen and funky.
Osprey at Wild Watch cams: Anne Marie has been watching this nest today ..... 13:32:22: I have been watching them and there is one egg she is still sitting on. Dad just came in and took his turn. We may have a new babe yet. 13:39:55: We have a new baby! Mom and dad have been feeding it. It Think its only one but I'm not sure. 14:11:56: so what do you think? do we have one or two?
ANNE-MARIE can't find her FACIAL make-over. Anne, click on my name and then click on Wanda's Wishes for my blog photos. Let me know if you can't find it. I will e-mail it to you.
For those of you who are fairly new to our blog....Anne-Marie went on a cruise to Alaska a while back and we kidded her about wearing a R ED DRESS. It seems that as we followed her cruise ship, a big red blob turned up on the deck of her ship and we were amazed to see it, thinking it was some sort of Carma having to do with her RED DRESS.
COSTUME LADY: Anne-Marie will be too stunned to type after she sees her "new" self!
And you, hard to imagine you looking like you were swept over by a hurricane, after seeing your double-facial results...we'll just think of that instead. Fresh home-grown Green Beans, you lucky woman you!
I can't wait to see what kind of Fish Captain Eagle is !! Loved your "corny" Angel Fish comment! xo
DOUBLE-E SHARON: I loved the "swanging bridge" comment. I will think of that now when I go bird-watching there. Ours up here is a special little refuge for me...I forgot to mention I also saw blue birds (HEDGIE: take note) there the other day, how could I forget that? You read that I had a serenading Indigo Bunting while there the other night, eh?
THANKS, JO. I never know what is going on with AML...sometimes she can't receive e-mails and other times, she can't blog. I have posted the photo of the RED DRESS "Ghost"on the deck of her ship for those who don't know what we are talking about. We had so much fun with that subject!
I think it is raining at Loch Garten...the two chicks are struggling to get underneath the Mom...3rd sad little feathered tyke still underneath Momma too....getting dark there now. The site says the chick will most likely be removed from the nest by the Parent, probably in a day or so.
Margy, that must be a very theraputic past-time for you. I have never gone over to Back Creek to "Be One With Nature". Thanks for the info; Gene and I will have to try it.
Osprey action is intense this year as another osprey has set-up nesting somewhere close to the cam birds and shows up on a regular basis and is promptly chased away. Three eggs were laid in mid-May and will probably hatch close to Independence Day or mid-July. This egg laying is late this year and it will be interesting to watch the osprey young develop over the short summer months. Maybe they have hatched!
Helen, did you get a sun-burn today? I was looking at the photos of those two precious babies and their mom had wide-brimmed hats on them and probably slathered them with spf-40. What teriffic parents they have. I can't imagine taking two little ones to the beach. Takes a lot of patience and care. No wonder you are so fond of your D-I-L.
CUSTOME LADY: And we can still try to make that visit together, with Hedgie too. I am going to watch for the muskrat and Beaver action..early mornings is good for that...and I will see what might be a good time to have a little field trip. Fishing is allowed off the bridge of course, with a license...some catch smallmouth bass, sunfish, bluegills, and someone says they have gotten perch and catfish as well... Ys, bird-watching there and a few other sites, has been a LIFE-SAVER for me. xo
NATURE NUT: Enjoyed your "twinkling lights" tale about the fireflies. Are these also called "lightning bugs" or are there two different insects here. My naturalist friend in New York talks about them too, and at times they seem to "coat and light up the ground in the woods." Glad to hear your chirpy wrens might be setting up housekeeping again! The pic of your Magnolia is stunning, by the way....
Birds at Loch Garten are restless..I think they need food and I don't think any has been brought in. Mention on the blog that Father Osprey has a second nest going...
About half way thru the blog from today...busy day at work, didn't watch a thing....guess no visitors today, huh?
Nature - before I forget, since I missed Suz - have a great time at the Osprey banding. I forgot about the aquarium folks attending that also. I heard that last year.
Good new so far on Anne's DIL, hope they got it all.
yes, Wanda, my d-i-l is a fantastic Mom, much more patient then I ever was:)....that osprey has to move its butt, I thought I had read that update about them not hatching till 4th of July, Jo
Good evening all. I am still in Bedford. Small thunderstorm just passed through. I can't believe the pic on the RP at the moment. It looks so clear! Now if we had the 3 freeloaders in there, it would be even better!
HEDGIE: I'm not gonna send another email to you until we get the "all clear" sign, then I will re-send my Swanging Bradge story... xo and GOOD LUCK !!!!
Lolly - Just love your beautiful home and gardens! I know how much work they are...and you have them kept so beautifully. Isn't it nice to sit out back or out front and enjoy all that beauty.

The CT site----4 CHICKS are alone---& are lined up around the nest!!-----Their 'TWEEDY' feathers are blended together!----HANDSOME BIRDS!
there is a guide for identification but it is hard to see the details to identify them. I love this camera, though.
DANA---what site are you all watching humming birds?
www.wildlifefocus.org/webcam/index.shtml
I think that is the right address. It is in Ecuador
WEBCAM IN THE FOREST HUMMER SITE
That's it Sissy for the hummers
That Osprey at BWO needs to read the manual on when they head south.
Sissy my guide just shows the hummers. Doesn't show the other birds.
That one must be the one you was talking about; green black ontop of head wings blackish and body green.
Both Pandas at DC they are showing on cams are sleeping.
GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE...
It's a cloudy 65° in the early morning in So Cal, but it is plotted on the weather channel to be a beautiful, sunny 78°.
Did you all find Steffi's Catalina Report this morning?

We have a lovely eaglet in our nest!
who is the baby, does anyone know?
Just as I have to leave. I am off to eye doctor. I got a few good pictures of the heron and pelicans. I will have to go back on a sunny day. By the time I got there it was sprinkling and a downpour when I left. I will post them later, when the dilating stuff wears off.
wELL, Sharon, how are you?
I think the eaglet is a male ... probably No. 3.
Is your Live Feed working?
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
off to beach....bbl.
looks like the bees have taken over the hummingbird feeder in Ecuador. BOOO!!!
Just had a (broad-winged, I think) hawk perched right outside the sunroom. Also saw several bluebirds earlier...not to mention the always present cards and jays! I've never seen the bluebirds here when there wasn't snow on the ground!
The hummers can't get to it for the bees. Need to run over (down) there and shoo them away!
Sissy - You are Queen of the Hummer Cam! I told Chrissy that you are CAMPED OUT ON THIS SITE, and that you have seen both Toucan and Coati....
xo
I saw a man in Martinsburg today walking up the street from the train station, and he was sporting a lovely Eagle Walking Stick! I had to ask him where he got it....his daughter worked at the Springs Mills Rocs (Shell Station, near Exit 2o I-81) and got it for him a few years ago. I told him about the NCTC Eagle Site, and about VICKY's Eagle Walking Stick. I will have to check out the Rocs to see if they still have them.
HEDGIE: I (think) I sent you a YAHOO...let me know if you don't get it....
XO Hello and Best Wishes to All..
YES, the live feed is working!
TTFN
Live feed is up
I see you already know that. I just got home and it opened.
Going to close my eyes for awhile until they get back to normal,
Toucan at the hummer site!
Wanda,
LOVED Margy's facial! LOL. How appropriate. You do good work, pretty lady!
Wow just woke from a nap didn't feel good layed down and out.....
Sissy you must get those bees away...the hummers can't eat
Hi Hedgie ( :
Even after swinging bridge was gone. Still good times and good memories.
Maybe when I seen the hand and blueish cup pour more liquid it they made it too sweet.
My RP went back down :(
Refresh acting up now :(
Hope it straightens out soon
Juvie well was when I started typing at BWE
Live feed is back up!
I went through my emails and see we have been overcome by BlueFins again. We need more Cods!!!!!!!
Dana, I'll have to get Gene to take the FISH TEST and see what he turns out to be....probably and ANGEL FISH. OOOHHH, I am so corny!
I'll try to get him on here after supper.
Well, that didn't work. It sent all blog comments to my regular e-mail! Oh, well....see what I can find out about yahoo!
Update on DIL from Anne Marie
DIL is out of surgery. Biop showed several tumors were cancer and they have been removed. No nerve damage has been reported. All reactions are normal and she has all movement and feeling in legs and arms. There will be more removed at another date. She is in recovery now. I will go up this weekend to stay with her. Thank you all for your sweet prayers. You are loved and appreciated. Anne.
Thank you Wanda - Anne Marie's NEW
RED DRESS is beautiful!
Hubby & I are getting ready to eat dinner
I'll return........ later
mt NEST....rp still up!
catch ya'll later!
Bird, our nest.
SCHOOL'S OUT !
We have one in the nest.
Not anymore. Gone.
I am glad you saw it, too, I thought I was seeing things.
I PROMISE YOU, I SAW IT..THEN GONE AGAIN THAT FAST...
DEB - at least we have each other as witnesses....
It was a quick in and out, that's for sure.
thanks, for the update, Jo
Yes, Jo, sounds like the first round for Anne-Marie's Daughter in Law has had some blessings attached to it.
You are a good Momma for keeping us updated, and comforted.
HEDGIE: When I first signed on, I had a box, unchecked somewhere, and the first day I was getting ALL of the Blog commments going to my yahoo email...glad I caught that one in a hurry. For a brief time I thought I was really popular with all those incoming messages! Don't Panic: We can resend important stuff to you...
I just hope your computer didn't get all frozen and funky.
Osprey at Wild Watch cams:
Anne Marie has been watching this nest today .....
I still can't really tell Jo??
ANNE-MARIE can't find her FACIAL make-over. Anne, click on my name and then click on Wanda's Wishes for my blog photos. Let me know if you can't find it. I will e-mail it to you.
For those of you who are fairly new to our blog....Anne-Marie went on a cruise to Alaska a while back and we kidded her about wearing a R
ED DRESS. It seems that as we followed her cruise ship, a big red blob turned up on the deck of her ship and we were amazed to see it, thinking it was some sort of Carma having to do with her RED DRESS.
Wanda I copied & sent the Red Dress Pic in an email to Anne Marie.
She has a problem with our blog from her work pc.
Mits: I enlarged the nest pic but I still can't be sure. Wish their site had some comments from authorities on it!
Double-E Sissy: I did see two toucans at the Hummer nest today..no coati yet though. thanks DEB for posting those photos on Yahoo...Way Cool!
The site says the chick will most likely be removed from the nest by the Parent, probably in a day or so.
oh yes, the Red Dress, that was freaky:)
Margy, that must be a very theraputic past-time for you. I have never gone over to Back Creek to "Be One With Nature". Thanks for the info; Gene and I will have to try it.
Wild Watch Osprey Cam Update June 2008
Osprey action is intense this year as another osprey has set-up nesting somewhere close to the cam birds and shows up on a regular basis and is promptly chased away. Three eggs were laid in mid-May and will probably hatch close to Independence Day or mid-July. This egg laying is late this year and it will be interesting to watch the osprey young develop over the short summer months.
Maybe they have hatched!
One osprey is on top of the cam, you can see feathers.
Ys, bird-watching there and a few other sites, has been a LIFE-SAVER for me.
xo
Whoa! Deb! I just saw those feathers! Sure does block the view of the egg cup!
Anne Marie said she thought she saw a feeding.
NATURE NUT: Enjoyed your "twinkling lights" tale about the fireflies. Are these also called "lightning bugs" or are there two different insects here. My naturalist friend in New York talks about them too, and at times they seem to "coat and light up the ground in the woods."
Glad to hear your chirpy wrens might be setting up housekeeping again! The pic of your Magnolia is stunning, by the way....
Is it NOT ABOUT TIME FOR SOME MOUNTAINEERS TO SHOW UP AT OUR NEST ????
Birds at Loch Garten are restless..I think they need food and I don't think any has been brought in. Mention on the blog that Father Osprey has a second nest going...
WV GAL DANA: Do I understand that you have been to the Swinging Bridge in our county? Were you visiting, or did you live here for awhile?
I think the Freeloaders are waiting on PAULA!
DANA lives here, Margy. She is "One of Us".
Howdy, all!
Gotta go check out her pics and everyone else's.
Oh, the nest is MT , but it so looks pretty in the early evening sun...nice calm pic at present.
LOL Magpie!
COME OUT COME OUT WHEREEVER YOU ARE!
ALL THE ALL THE OUTS IN FREE!
Dustin Thomas Shanahan wants to have his turn at the 'puter, so I will turn this mouse and keybord over to him (for now).
Hey Magpie, Sissy is a swordfish too!
yes, Wanda, my d-i-l is a fantastic Mom, much more patient then I ever was:)....that osprey has to move its butt, I thought I had read that update about them not hatching till 4th of July, Jo
osprey butt has moved, Mom up and looking down
now she is down
Our nest really does look inviting!
Come on you Mountaineers - Come On !
I am heading out to CVS - b-days & anniversaries galore in July!
When I leave - as usual - the
Mountaineers will appear!
BBL
Okay, finally company in the Swordfish department !! Thanks for the news Paula.
Whoa, Wanda, I was confused...but that adds one more to our "field trip." WV GAL, excuse my IGNORANCE...!
Good evening all. I am still in Bedford. Small thunderstorm just passed through. I can't believe the pic on the RP at the moment. It looks so clear! Now if we had the 3 freeloaders in there, it would be even better!
Aren't you gone yet, Jo? Nest is still MT :):)
maybe they didn't hear me before...
allthealltheoutsinfree!!!!!
HEDGIE: I'm not gonna send another email to you until we get the "all clear" sign, then I will re-send my Swanging Bradge story...
xo and GOOD LUCK !!!!
Paula, can you give me the link again to the eagle talons video?
Last sighting of a FREELOADER was at around 5:37 - and it was a QUICKIE! Almost an apparition....
I know, I haven't put link on the blog yet...here ya go!

Thank you very much. Thelma had not seen it yet and wanted to.
Your welcome!
I think we might get stood up!
HMMMM, no visitors yet?

Yep Hedgie born and raised in Bk. Co.
