Looked like Pearl just stole food from Middy and Tiny is standing on the other side of the nest just watching. Hope no fledge today storms coming. I am off to work. Have a good day.
Good morning, Megan, Glo, Helen, Norma, Sharon and Ceil. Another cloudy day with a chance for rain. I would like a sunny, non-humid day for a change! Sounds like you are in for rain today.

Hello Deb:) wishful thinking, Norma, wet outside, but plenty of plants need attention in the gh- yesterday when I was away, hubby said he saw an oriole in the yard for a long time, singing and chasing other birds. I have ssen the indigo buntings in the yard this week .
Good Morning everyone,Boy this last two days has been bad with a lot of rain and tornados. They went around us here but we got a lot of rain.I stayed home yesterday from work and didn't do to much.It was my birthday.I have to go and check on our eagles here and i hope they are ok. I hope that everyone has a great day.

FORCAST FOR NEST TODAY Flash Flood Watch in effect until 6 PM EDT this afternoon... Today Showers...thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall...large hail and damaging winds. Highs in the lower 80s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent. » ZIP Code Detail Tonight Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. Southwest winds around 5 mph...becoming south after midnight. Chance of rain 50 percent. AMEN:)
Thanks everyone;I just love ya all. It's great to have such great eagle friends.I can't wait until Aug 29 when i retire from school and get to do some traveling and do my wildlife photography full time and visit friends, and spend some time back in Newfoundland.
Well, after work today, we will begin the first part of our journey that will end up at the sycamore tree. Go to Thelma's this evening. Go to Charlottesville tomorrow to have my hernia check. Saturday morning, head to S-town! I am so excited!
The Delta Chicks made their local news. Karenb, from the Hancock forum is the blond haired lady in the report. They used Sierra's video of the Mom bringing back the teddy bear to the nest. In the left column, click on "Global BC stories" and then on "The Eaglets and the Bear".
NCTC Live feed, sound and good picture for me. Loon Eggs should hatch, if they are viable, towards the end of the week...once they do, that nest will be empty quickly.
Yesterday's picnic went very well - did not run out of food and with family there plus about 20 high school friends - that amazed me! Only got wet when leaving - We did all go inside for the festivity! There really was a downpour.
Getting crowded in there! I think that Tiny finally showed them both that he could do the wing flapping dance too! He is tired of getting 'talons in his back' lol
HELLO TO ALL EAGLE WATCHERS OUT THERE!! My teacher has the kids on the playground, so I took a quick chance to get on. I just wanted to wish each and every one of you that are headed to Shepherdstown, a save trip, loads of fun, alot of pic taking. I also hope that the eaglets wait until you get there and you can see them fledge. That would be so exciting!
Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE! You can talk to JIM about his retiring and get some hints. I am hoping for one more year in kindergarten and then freedom.
Wish I were able to be going with you all, but still in school. :(All have a wonderful time and stay safe. I'll be thinking of you on Saturday and Sunday.
I need to step away and I hope they stay put in their nest. Lunch should come in and they get their bellies filled in order to take an afternoon nap so I can get some things done!
HI CANDY We sure do miss you on here but know you will be back with us soon! Take care & we'll be thinking of you and those good brownies! October for sure!!
I just opened the live feed and was watching them stretch their wings; when one of the males (I thought it was NO. 3) flew to the takeoff zone, faced into the wind and opened his wings! I thought wouldn't it be funny if....
THE LITTLE GUY OPENED HIS WINGS AGAIN AND TOOK OFF!! JUST LIKE THAT!!
Between the wide angle lens and the wind they are driving me crazy trying to identify the individual birds.
But I think No. 1 (eating) and No. 3 are still on the nest.
On the other hand I wonder how often eaglets fledge out of order. I think this one was more of an impulse than usual ... it flew from the far end, landed "right next to" it's bigger sibling and then just kind of casually turned into the wind and after a couple of quick spreads was gone.
Ha, ha. I was just watching this one under the camera, which looks more like No. 2 now, when I saw a Hummingbird hovering in the upper left of the screen.
Thank you Glo - I'll send it out. The Email has come out through Momsters. No reply yet from Steve - Hope he is there today and already out there looking for our Fledger!
Do you think any nest ever had 2 fledgings in 1 day!
glo, So glad you captured and shared the video. I was scrolling through blogs and missed it! I can't keep the RP up onscreen when I'm doing other things. How cool!!! She "done good" and is probably feeling really full of herself right about now!! As Jo says...WOO HOO!
Well I do seriously wonder if we might in fact see another one. If Pearl is still in that nest, I do NOT think she will be staying there for long. Time may actually tell us if it was Pearl or not byt what happens over the next few hours.
Of course I want to see that one return LOL but that is kind of wishful thinking for a while.
We are now at the need to see 3 to know all 3 are jsut fine. Oh the ups and downs of being a Momster LOL
Well, maybe we will get to see Tiny Tim still in the nest Saturday. I think it was Middy who fledged. JMHO You know Pearl/Middy is just a short while behind.
Wanda you all are going to have a wonderful time Sat. You might just get to see Tiny fledge...who knows. Either way you will all get to see our young new flyers spreading their wings and enjoyign their freedom.
Thanks, Glo. You got most of the action leading up to the first flight too.
The perspective is funny this morning, and it still looked like the male taking off.... But on the other hand, the bird remaining near the takeoff zone looked like No. 2 also.
Judging by 2006 on this nest and the others we've seen, it was "probably" Pearl who fledged, but it didn't look like it at the time. }:~D}
Apparently, either Pearl or one of the adults just flew over the nest!
If you remember two years ago, Liberty will probably be feeding these two males still on the nest exclusively until they leave the nest completely; and Belle will tend to Pearl exclusively ... off the nest most of the time.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
I am late getting started this morning. Slept in..felt good.
INDIANA DAVE....HOPE YOU HAD A VERY SPECIAL BIRTHDAY!
Megan, so glad you sold all your flowers. That is a dream of all Vendors, to be able to SELL OUT!
Miss Norma, I haven't heard anything about Sen. Byrd's hospitalization...what was his ailment?
Well, after work today, we will begin the first part of our journey that will end up at the sycamore tree. Go to Thelma's this evening. Go to Charlottesville tomorrow to have my hernia check. Saturday morning, head to S-town! I am so excited!
All of a sudden our kids woke up and are flapping all over the nest.
Whoo Hoo!
We have our sound back!! :):)
Man, these guys are flying into each other everywhere in the nest
The skies have opened again here. We don't need any more rain, we need sun to dry everything out.
I hear ya Deb! Our May was the second wettest on record.
The Delta Chicks made their local news. Karenb, from the Hancock forum is the blond haired lady in the report. They used Sierra's video of the Mom bringing back the teddy bear to the nest. In the left column, click on "Global BC stories" and then on "The Eaglets and the Bear".
GlobalBC
Eaglet almost wiped out spidey's web
Wow, Pearl went up and branched beside the camera and then floated back down. HEART ATTACK HERE!! We will probably need EMS on standby Saturday! :)
Good Morning Everyone
Well I can still count 3 in the nest BUT won't be long! Phone call from Germany just now and NO new baby girl yet!
You all mention sound being on but I don't have it - at least not that I can hear!
Can anyone take a Wild Guess?
Who is at 10
Who is at 2
Who is at 6
NCTC Live feed, sound and good picture for me.
Loon Eggs should hatch, if they are viable, towards the end of the week...once they do, that nest will be empty quickly.
I am going to say 2 is Middy, Pearl at 6 and Baby Littley at 10.
Pearl at 6
Middy at 10
Tiny at 2
EAGLE-EYED SHARON: Maybe someone should bring ammonia capsules Saturday in case we pass out. Maybe my EMT training might come in handy?
And dress for the hot weather - supposed to be 93° Saturday
I would get them all wrong if I guessed! I have sound, Jo.
Jo - how was the picnic? Did ya get wet??
Yesterday's picnic went very well - did not run out of food and with family there plus about 20 high school friends - that amazed me!
Only got wet when leaving - We did all go inside for the festivity! There really was a downpour.
I now need to send out email for Nest Visit schedule to all those on the list - I hear what you are saying about Saturday's temps!
I got a picture of Pearl on the branch (not a good one, but you could see her there) and sent it to Suzanne. She was so excited to see it!
I just lost my live feed, anyone else??
It came back, but it took a minute.
Up and down to the branch. Time for a hair cut, bbl,
Pearl is definitely getting the look! and I am having heart attacks here.
Well Lib and Belle certainly have an attentive audience and so do the eaglets
I guess they are awaiting their lunch. I do have the wind and wing flappin' sounds now.
She is so ready to go out of there!
Well Maybe after the poop shoot comes 'fly the coop'
LOL, hopscothcing again
Eagle laying down getting pissed, now Tiny is up flapping too
Getting crowded in there! I think that Tiny finally showed them both that he could do the wing flapping dance too! He is tired of getting 'talons in his back' lol
How about those jumping jacks! lol
Getting a good cardiac work out
Who, Glo, us or them?? :)
Tiny getting some air, straight up
and folks don't think you can get any exercise sitting in front of a computer all day.
Yepper She is still Pecky Pearl! lol
Whoo Hoo! Sure is trying to get a branch!
well got hover one and two done very well GEEESH
Oh Boy
Tiny almost pushed him/her out..............
I hear the dogs!
That may not have been Tiny that ran over there.....
Oh no, lost my pic, only sound
Restart it - I have pic
Whew, finally came back after 4 restarts
Wonder if that is due to traffic on the feed
It's possible. I just don't want to lose it now. I did put my 30sec cam up just in case.
Tiny just flops down on his belly.
HELLO TO ALL EAGLE WATCHERS OUT THERE!! My teacher has the kids on the playground, so I took a quick chance to get on. WOW, SURE WASN'T EXPECTING THAT BUT SHE WENT RIGHT FROM THE LAUNCH PAD!
Glo, were you recording?
WHoo Hoo
WOW WOW WOW
Yes I think I have it sharon
Going to email STEVE TO GO LOOK FOR HER>>>>>>>>>>
Oh MeMa Jo I was thinking you missed it by just a coupe of seconds
DID YOU SEE THAT!!??
I just opened the live feed and was watching them stretch their wings; when one of the males (I thought it was NO. 3) flew to the takeoff zone, faced into the wind and opened his wings! I thought wouldn't it be funny if....
THE LITTLE GUY OPENED HIS WINGS AGAIN AND TOOK OFF!! JUST LIKE THAT!!
GOOD MORNING, BY THE WAY.

Jim
LOL Good idea Me Ma Jo
I don't know if that was who we were thinking was the oldest one.
EMAILED STEVE
JIM How about them there birds of ours!
Sharon & Glo I am soooooooooo
happy we were all here!
I'll send out Momster's email
Maybe I best wait a while - Middy may go right after Pearl lol
Oh My GOSH!!!!
Do you think the adult that flew in and took a look at 2 instead of 3
flew right back out to be with Pearl?
Sharon - I realize what you are saying about Who Was It?
Your guess is as good as mine...
I just assumed it would be the oldest
I got it on tape - I don't think it was pearl...
The other two were looking like, where did he go?
So, do you all think that was Pearl?
Between the wide angle lens and the wind they are driving me crazy trying to identify the individual birds.
But I think No. 1 (eating) and No. 3 are still on the nest.

Jim
Well, maybe that was Pearl - Looks like Tiny at 6 and Middy and 11 - they both still have white in their tails
OMG!! THAT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.
I am happy too that so many were here to see it actually happening. Even Jim signed on JUST IN TIME...How cool
I think that was Middy. I think Pearl is still there. OMG. This is so cool!!
Just watched it again - eaglet took off like a pro
Ha, ha. I was just watching this one under the camera, which looks more like No. 2 now, when I saw a Hummingbird hovering in the upper left of the screen.
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
I just left a message on Steve's voice mail!
Paula, I thought it looked like a pro too. Didn't have any hesitation, no wingspread and sitting there waiting.
For those who are just signing in
Our First Fledge of 2008
Let's just pray he/she landed like a pro too!
Well if it was middy then keep your eyes peeled. Pearl is not gonna sit in the nest and watch Middy be doted on by Lib and Belle.
Thank you Glo - I'll send it out. The
Email has come out through Momsters.
No reply yet from Steve - Hope he is there today and already out there looking for our Fledger!
Do you think any nest ever had
2 fledgings in 1 day!
We have another one warming up the wings and flying from one end to the other. Maybe two will fledge today.

Whoa - one of our babies has fledged! I missed the live take-off, but watched Glo's video. Thanks, Glo!! Seems like they grew so fast!
MOSMSTER??
Thanks, Glo. You got most of the action leading up to the first flight too.
The perspective is funny this morning, and it still looked like the male taking off.... But on the other hand, the bird remaining near the takeoff zone looked like No. 2 also.

Yes, Glo, if we don't make too much noise, we may see all three jumping up and down in the tree like we did in the nest. Oh, so exciting.
Come on over to the new Thread
for this afternoon.
Indiana Nesting Eagles---Dave
Now we know that is PEARL IN THE NEST!
DAVE HAS FOUND A NEW THREAD...COME ON OVER******************************************************************************************************
LOL Wanda yes we do know who is there
Apparently, either Pearl or one of the adults just flew over the nest!

Thanks to all the technicians and reporters who make this happen and keep the rest of us informed. This is a Special Day. Go Eagles!
