Just had a big line of strong storms, including tornadoes come through here. The two eaglets are wet, but acting normal. No sign of the adults or the fledgling right now. Live feed is down.

The one at 12 o'clock has not folded its wings all the way back in yet.
West End nest was attacked by ravens earlier. Both chicks are fine, no video yet.
Just dry off those wings, don't get any flying ideas!

I've been to the eye dr. this morn. He said there is no infection in the eye and he is "watching it like a hawk". LOL (I'd prefer "eagel eye") The infection in in the lid etc., swollen shut, hurts, matted, itchy, yukky, my head hurts, my throat hurts, I feel awful. waaaaa!!!!

I have just been able to get back on to the Blog. Storm must have tweeked my 'puter. Couldn't get anything up. Internet was completely down. Had awesome winds and rain was blowing around in circles. We were prepared to go down to the basement. Really bad lightning strikes. Worried so much about Pearl. Hope Mom & Dad were very near for comfort.
Lolly, let your hubby take care of you. You need his TLC now. Glad you are under the Doctor's care.

I just went in for a one-hour stint at 911 during the worst of the stor; Inwood, Bunker Hill, and parts of Jefferson County got it the worst for around here, also places in Virginia. Hope you get back on-line soon. Watch it for me: I report back at 7 pm for 12-hours. Woof!
UPDATE FROM MEMA JO & MEGAN
Mema: power was out 3pm to 4:30pm. Winds & downpour was outrageous to say the least.
Another storm to come through around 7pm.
Megan: called me on her cell - DAMAGE BIG TIME. 30ft tree down - tops of trees all shaved! Yard in a shambles! Power lines down - hard to tell when they'll get them back up.
I am wondering about Hedgesviller's area. Wanda you guys ok?

I don't think Dana had been on yet today. I pray all our Momsters are ok. Megan didn't say any damage to house or gh - she would have said so if there was. It was mainly her yard area.

Mema Jo--Hedgesville okay! Heard on scanner that Morgan County got some bad hits, as did the areas that Magpie mentioned. Did spend some time in the basement, tho', when they issued a "seek shelter now" warning! Grandkids were held at schools for about 45 minutes late; my Charles Town daughter was stuck on the tarmac at Dulles for over an hour waiting for all-clear to take-off for Vegas. Just heard that my "hometown" of Annandale got hit hard.
BirdGirl- There must be a balcony over there were Tiny sits all the time.

I would ove to see 3 young and two adult eagles about now BUT I don't think we are gonna see our new fledgling back in the nest today for sure. Probably one of the parents is very close by...my guess is they know the weather remains unsettled in the area as well.

Well by June 12 all 3 had NOT yet fledged. And after seeign Big Boys landing my guess is Spunky could have been having second thoughts aobut ever leaving. But real life took over
I remember when Ms InBetween fledged and little Spunky was all alone.. I guess we'll feel that way with Tiny if he's the last to go.

Hi all! Now I am worried about Megan. Has anybody else heard anything more from her? Oh, her yard!!! All the work she does, and after a great day yesterday!

My heart aches for Megan. I know I hate it when a storm takes out any of my flowers and ocmpared to Megan I put in aobut 1 of the time she does. I also have aobut 1 % of the skill. I too so wish I lived closer. HInt she will possibly feed you choc chip cookies if you head over there.

As Paula mentioned earlier today, it is going to be in the mid 90's Saturday. I just wanted to remind all of you coming for the nest visit, the Eagle Express will be there for your comfort and convenience. We will have cold drinks, snacks, movies for the kiddies and the bathroom if needed. The capt. checked out the air conditioner and it is working very well. We will pick up anyone that wants a ride to the nest at the Clarion. I don't know if Jo has set a time to meet yet or not, but it will probably be 9 or 10 o'clock. HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!

I think its a good sign we saw both adults at the nest. If our fledge had any problems with the storm I think one of the parents would be staying right by it.

Weather Plus just Beeped--Severe Alert-T-storms just about everywhere. Gal working w/me today got cell phone call that tornado hit where she lives-Chesapeake Beach.Neighbor called her & said house right across street from her was destroyed!She finally got hold of hubby & he was OK-out in neighjborhood collecting pets & checking neighbors & that there was lots of damage. I'm waiting for a call from her.

My house power is fine!In fact I don't think it went off at all.
There is a tall grassy field at work(the Largo farmhouse place) & a deer was stuck in the middle during the awful thunder, lightening.It was afraid to run for the trees and just sat down and waited it out! We could see ears thru binoculars.

My pal just called & there are pieces of splintered wood, shingles, etc. imbedded in her siding!3 houses next to her are demolished. While outside she saw something move==was green heron w/injured leg. She spent 1 1/2 hours finding wildlife help and a lady turned out to be 1 block away from her picking up an injured osprey!!!
I can hear sparrows or small birds but its getting really dark. Wish I could see our fledger.

I finally have the Black Stork in the nest. It is very beautiful with all its little white storks. Will have to look and see when they get their black feathers.
