Thank you Steve for the fresh sunshiny (here) Monday thread. Have a great week.
Jo, hello and thank you for the call over. Congratulations. Your headdress is going to be so full of feathers you'll topple over if you wear it. Enjoy. Hope today will be a good one for you.
Janet, enjoy those tomatoes. Our garden has done poorly this year. No canning for me. Even cucumbers did not produce and only a dozen ears of corn. Hope the busy day goes smoothly.
Kay, enjoy having your family with you. Stop by when/if you can. Sandperson is on serious time-out today. Rationalized something about a GPS glitch so I have provided a large-print map of the Columbus area. Hope you can catch up on sleep.
Shirley, found Virginia's books at Amazon and have placed an order. Should arrive Friday for my weekend reading pleasure. How are the kitties doing? How's Luna? How's Hunter? How are you?
CarolAnne, yes, an update on Mom when you can. Prayers continue.
Glo, an update on the critters, please. Hope Becky has a good day at school.
Sandi, enjoy the day. Are you headed to the highway to wave as tourists depart?
Relaxed agenda today. Need to return a couple of library books.
I have an issue with ATandT. They are charging me big time for data usage for some reason. This suddenly happened. Kathryn thinks it might because of something going on with Google.
Called ATandT. Wait time is 8 minutes.
Good grief.
On speaker phone. Listening to their lovely commercials.
Good grief.
I am happy you found the books, Judie. I hope that you enjoy them.
Kitties are still fighting. I have Allie in my room with me. She seems to be the calmer of the two. Luna is in here, too, though, and she hasn't exactly accepted Luna. However, Luna is a very calm dog unless someone turns on the vacuum.
The rest of us are fine. Virginia is to be here sometime this evening.
Yes, JO, that headdress has to be getting weighty. Maybe you can begin to fashion a Hulu skirt of eagle feathers--could be very entertaining at Lennox family luaus!
Good grief is right, Charlie Brown, er, I mean SHIRLEY. Let us know what the outcome is--I can't imagine Google having anything to do with it. I'm sure going to watch my A T & T bill now! Enjoy Virginia's company once more. I hope all goes well with the book signing this time. I'm going to see if our library has her books. Nice to have your kitty escapades to enjoy now that we've an MT nest on our hands for a while. Sounds like there is occasional wild life right there in your household!
JUDIE, thanks again for taking stern disciplinary action with that Sandperson when needed! I did go back for some zzz's til' Penny made her presence known. That was at 8:15 and she'd gone to bed at 7pm---another good grief---wonder why she couldn't sleep til' 9 or 10? ☺ Here's hoping that large print map works tonight!
I wonder if your garden woes were due to too much rain this year? I had to move some of my posies to under the eaves protection as they were drowning and dying due to our deluges. We're 3+ inches over average for this point in the year.
JANET, glad your family is enjoying the bounty your garden is providing!
after lunch I have to go to the store mgr and ask for permission to take my two weeks vacation at the end of the month into next month for dental issues I did put in for it on the first and they have not approved it Just to find out that I have to get with the new store mgr MIRCO MANAGER we call him now
for 25 years I have NEVER NEVER HAD TO ask a SM only my Asst Mgr I know its not WMT policy I will wait and see and if he says no which I doubt he will if he does I am going to the HR officer I just don't think its any of their business why I want two weeks I told the storemgr FRANK I have worked for wmt 25 year and have never had in the past go to a SM to get permission I don't think he liked me saying that but that is the truth
I SO CAN'T WAIT TO RETIRE so I don't have to deal with this crap
Good grief! Poor Shirley. So much grief in one day. lol Seriously, do not understand the AT&T/data usage charges. Hope that is a mistake.
Well, Sandperson is giving me some grief today. Banging around in the back of the hall closet, opening the door, throwing out linens, and generally being a PIA. So, time-out has been extended in addition to the possibility of "early retirement" due to bad behavior. Lots of sulking now behind a closed door.
JudyE, sure hope there are no complications regarding vacation time. Good luck with SM.
Can it get any hotter - some days are even too hot to go to the beach ! My whole week is free to stay inside in the AC - I am even too uncomfortable when I open the door to the deck!
Kay - so sorry for your reason of being the Earliest Bird this morning. I am sure Judie will take care of it for you!
JANET A FULL DAY ON YOUR DAY OFF - NO FAIR!
I have a new keyboard but still keep hitting the Caps Lock - fat fingers.
Shirley I wish you patience with AT&T. It may take another week or two before the kittens are playing together. I'm sure Smokey feels invaded!
Lolly - have fun with Camp Hawkwood. Your upcoming trip to CO sounds relaxing.
Good afternoon everyone. I have AT&T yes they changed their data plan a year or 2 ago. When I watch a lot of HD cams it skyrockets my data use so I just sort of turn them on when I can sit to watch now. If you go over they charge an additional $10 per 50 gig. I also do not have cable so if I watch a movie it is through Amazon Prime or Roku both of which are streams of data. Shirley you might try their chat online. You can even send and get the transcript of your chat sent to your email or print it. I am dealing with them now as i disconnected my landline but kept their internet for now. Of course the bill to me seems like a total screw up but trusting they will get it all straight in a month or 2 of billing. I do have a print out of my chat and they were much more helpful actually than the person I final got after all that waiting by phone. .Also sit and hold both kitties in your lap at the SAME time everyday for a little while. That will help them accept each other quicker as they see you loving on both of them the same.
Puppy Class tonight unless we get stormed out. We still do it mostly for socializing. She learns quickly and does very well at home. It is good for her to be around other people and their dogs though and firms up commands in a different environment, which is also good. Patches is really doing very well. Zoey is down to very little prednisone this week and her liver supplement. Next week she will only get small amt of pred each day and soon will be off of it. We have had quite a run with meds. Great cat though and pretty darn good patient overall. hagd everyone
good afternoon to all. THANKS TO STEVE FOR THE NEW THREAD and THE CALLOVER from JO! <3 I am sitting here with heavy eyelids and the headache is back on again. its been off and on since Saturday . :P just enough to be annoying.
I have so much I want to accomplish....and I feel like doing nothing.
livvy had her allergy shot this a.m. we went to planet fitness to get her a membership. poor kiddo. so, she's been twice in the past week with Michael and niki. they signed her in on a guess pass. no questions asked. she had a great time.
so when I went to get her her own membership, she can't have one til she's 16. liability. okay. I get that....but I can have a membership and she can come in on my membership, but I must be present.
I said well do I have to work out or can I sit and read a book. no I can sit and read a book.
well livvy was mortified, in tears....and so we canceled the membership.
got home, talked with niki. talked more with livvy. went on line and now......
I have a planet fitness membership and I think I will just have her to go with them, act normal and continue.
anyway....and went to the staff meeting. what a great group we have. home now. boss supplied jim n nicks' bbq for lunch...pulled pork and chicken, rolls, mac n cheese, fruit, corn cheddar biscuits, tea, lemonade (I made coffee).....it was wonderful.
always a positive meeting. out of the 1100 some massage envy's in the nation, we are ranked 6th this week. :) woot woot! go Bellevue massage envy!!!!
well, going to try to get some stuff done. later ya'll
Hi all, Thanks for asking about Mom. Currently in rehab building up her strength. Doing great physically. Still cannot get bro to understand the 24 hour supervision and regular meals and meds are what has made the difference. He still believes she JUST has to remember to eat and take meds. Hoping staff/case worker can convince him she needs permanent extended care. She has appt with regular Dr next week. I have mailed my concerns and facts to her. So we will see.
Hi all! Thanks Steve for a new thread and thanks Jo for the call over.
CarolAnne, I hope your mom's doctor can get through to your brother - sounds like he's making decisions based on what's best for him financially, not for your mom.
Shirley, I like Glo's idea of holding both kittens together each day - but wear long sleeves in case they get ugly!
The r key on my keyboard is definitely going up. Can I just replace one key on a laptop keyboard?? I would hate to think that I have to buy a new laptop for 1 key but the letter r is a hard one to do without.
After tennis, I didn't do much of anything else. Read a book. Still haven't been to the grocery store - I think it can wait til tomorrow morning since I have to go out for a doctor appointment anyway (routine annual physical) and the doctor's office is very close to the Giant.
I did clean our tandem kayak, take some photos of it, and post an ad to sell it on Craigslist - also put it on my Facebook. It turns out that Denny doesn't like kayaking and it's too heavy and cumbersome for me to haul or take out by myself. I'd like to sell this one and buy a single instead.
The live feed is running really great now on lap top and tablet Notice the counter volume and buffering and other on bottom of live feed where the counter use to be. And the counter is strange for me doesn't start at O and on my tablet its changed also I have a cool pox of moon and ant carrying a cutleaf but not on lapto COOL BEAN . STEVE THANKS LOVIN WHAT I SEE
Stopping by before putting my feet up for a few AND before checking on Sandperson- been very quiet this early evening.
Sandi, maybe a good vacuuming and wipe down for the keyboard?
CarolAnne, I do hope the medical professionals can get through to your brother. So sorry for the situation. Prayers.
Shirley, another thought about Smokey and Allie is to give them treats at the same time letting them get a little closer to each other with each treat. Sort of a desensitization process with treats for good behavior.
Glo, so glad your fur family is doing so well. Hope puppy school was extra successful.
Headed across the hall to put my feet up. Just in case:
If Sandperson promises to be good, departure will be scheduled for 10pm. GPS is programmed for Columbus, OH.
Judy, thanks for the heads-up on the live cam. I went to the outdoor channel site when I read your post at 7:59 and wow, what a difference! We may have the same camera and the same view but it sure looks like we have a high definition signal now!
cam is almost totally black We know we have a new cam love the view but I wonder about the infra red night vision should it be on if wouldn't ya think just thinking on paper
funny on tablet on the bottom of the cam only has a volume to the right and no counter on it not like laptop don't know about desktop since mine still is ill
Evening all....get out the cheese, it's time for my WHINE! LOL!
No, I'm not going to whine, really. I'm just repeating this prayer in my head over and over....
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen.
Day 1 of Camp Hakwood is about to come to an end. A very good day. We really enjoyed the tour of AT&T Stadium. Go Cowboys! Very impressive to stand on that star! Then we went shoe shopping. It was frustrating but we ended up with shoes he liked. I had to veto his first choices! Very opinionated, stubborn 10 year old!
40 days now....NO RAIN! However we do have a little rain in the forecast. Time for all to do a rain dance!
Yippee! It was only 84 today! It almost felt like a cold snap! What a relief!
It's been a VERY busy day today! Ken had 2 doctor appointments, and I had one! Ken's pacemaker replacement day is going to be this Thursday, 8/20. He checks in at 7:30 am, and his surgery is at 9:30 am. Hopefully he can come home the same day, but they want us to pack an overnight bag, just in case. He got a chest x-ray, an antibiotic to take for a little spot of cellulitis on his left hand (nothing alarming at all, but no chance of any infection is allowed), and he got his pneumonia vaccine booster--the same kind that I had a few weeks ago.
I had a follow-up appt. to discuss my lab results from last Thursday. My cholesterol is way down, and my blood sugar was lower. We're trying something, though. Metformin (even the timed-release variety) absolutely does NOT agree with me at all (raging diarrhea), so instead I'm trying an injection of a slow-release insulin at bedtime. We'll see how that works out. Will not miss taking Metformin! Cannot have a normal lifestyle when chained to the bathroom!
Tomorrow morning we are supposed to have breakfast at IHOP with Ken's buddy Chuck. Need to keep up with what's going on with him.
Well, I'm getting sleepy, so better say goodnight. God bless. Sleep well, everyone. I ♥ us!
Happy birthday, Candy!! Hope you have a wonderful year ahead!
Judy, I could be wrong but I don't think we have a new camera yet. I say that b/c the angle/view is exactly the same as it was. I think we have a high def signal now which has made the picture we see crystal clear. What an improvement - I sure wish I could see an eagle land in the nest with this cam view!!
Lynne2, what's wrong? You are allowed to whine here!
Doctor's appt. for me at 8am, then I MUST get to the grocery store. Listed the kayak on Craigslist yesterday and have someone coming to buy it today. Yay!
Turns out you CAN buy replacement keyboards for about $20-$25. But I'll try Judie's vacuuming idea first - maybe there's something stuck around the r key.
♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDI ♪♫ Doctors and grocery shopping aside, may today be a special day (good doctor reports, good grocery shopping, saying bye bye to the kayak) and may the year ahead be one of good times, happiness, and anticipation.
♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANDI ♪♫ Wishing you a lovely day and a special year ahead.
Lynne2, I've put out a cheese tray, wine glasses and wine are chilled and waiting. What's happened?
Andy, may the new medication be effective and without side effects. Fingers crossed. Wishing Ken an easy and successful procedure on Thursday. Prayers.
Sandi, had typed yesterday that I thought a separate keyboard could be purchased but erased as I am computer illiterate. Hope the cleaning works but happy a new keyboard is an inexpensive option.
I think the nest cam imaging has been improved but my impression is all the upgrades are not complete yet. Lots of prep work required and that tree is really old and fragile. Takes time and planning.
Hope Glo gives us an update on people and puppy school.
Jo, I like the new picture of Elliot. Like both actually.
Another day of oppressive heat and humidity is underway. Plan to stay in. Some laundry and reading. Nails breaking so need attention.
Happy to see that all is well enough for our eagle family.
Lizzie, the momma cat is in heat and miserable. Anyone who has had a female cat in heat knows what I mean. The kittens are 6 weeks old now and oh so cute. They made their first visit to the vet yesterday and were wormed and had their first shots. They were deemed very healthy. Lizzie will be spayed as soon as the kids leave home and her milk is gone. They will just move down the street, so I hope to visit them from time to time.
Hope all have a good day with children, grandchildren, pets or even a good book.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDI Enjoy your special day Wishing you a great year ahead
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANDY Enjoy your special day Wishing you a great year ahead
Not often do we have 2 fantastic Momsters sharing the same birthday. It's call killing 2 birds with one stone! (That doesn't sound good for an eagle fan)
Shirley - Kathryn had pics on FB of both kittens with Hunter and also by themselves lying side by side. HURRAH - hopefully they have now bonded
Andy - Prayers for Ken's pace maker procedure this week. I take Metformin and thankfully no side affects whatsoever - Keeps my Diabetes Type 2 regulated. I'm not sure I could do shots - maybe that pen if I ever need insulin.
Lynne1 - Don't let Lizzie slip out the door ! lol I know what you mean about a cat in heat.
Judie - compliments for our sandperson. I slept like a baby through the whole night. I probably also od'd on Tussin-DM
Happy Birthday to two great Momsters, SANDI n' CANDY! Hope your day is just DANDI n' DANDY!!!!!
LYNNE2, we thrive on whining---carry on!
LYNNE1, oh poor Lizzie, hope the kitties move down the street soon and that her milk dries up very quickly!
JUDIE, I'm with you---a good day to stay indoors as much as possible with a little housework and a manicure the order of the day.
ANDY, good on you for those test results. Thinking of your Kubby as Thursday approaches.
LOLLY, what kind of shoes did Jacob want? Look on the bright side, opinionated and stubborn at his age may bode well for his future as he may mature into a very successful adult when he learns to put those qualities to good use. I think he may be working at "finding himself" as he comes up in the shadow of a successful older brother. I watched my younger sister do just that and in adulthood she outshone me in every possible way!
Enough child pop psychology from me for today---possibly forever!☺
JUDY, patience, patience--it will take time to fine tune the new cam, etc.. So glad they have this MT nest season wide open for all that.
CarolAnne I am praying for your Mom to be able to receive the care she needs. I am also praying for your brother's eyes to be opened to her true condition. Prayers for you and hubby to have peace and determination to keep your mom well cared for.

SANDI if you notice I do think it is a new cam It says HD now on the top of the cam when you hover the mouse on it and oh my the resolution is so much better I can zoom on my tablet and count the things on the pinecones
also the bottom where the counter was is totally different than before
and on my tablet I have a full moon with a ant carrying a leaf but laptop doesn't have that and on lap top the circle spins different and the name of the cam is AKAMAI YOU HAVE TO BE QUICK TO SEE IT and it buffers on the bottom on laptop and it buffers big time but I am sure they are working on it don't know about desktop since it still not fixed
LYNNE1 do that have catch and release for stray there Here in Fl they do they spay or neuter them for 5-10 and snip on of the ears to show they have been fixed I like that But you just got to catch them to do it
last night the cam was really loud with what I am assuming was CASCADES I think MARGY or WANDA are they in that area now what ever it was was loud for a bit on and off
OH I also noticed on my tablet that if I open another tab The live feed stops and has arrow when I go back to it (like all the other sites have in the past) The old camera always kept running on the tab anyway I can't tell if it does it on the lap top because of the buffering
I just can't wait till it is up 100% like waiting for Santa to come on Christmas LOL
Happy Birthday to Candy and Sandi Becky's first day back at school was essentially uneventful. No news would be good news. I think both physically and emotionally she was very ready to get back in the classroom and has to be feeling so much better than she was before surgery with each day of healing getting all that much better.
Puppy class wasn't our best last night. We drove there in pouring down rain. The noise on the roof of the car really frightened her :-( I am sure it sounded like rain on the kennel she had listened to for so long. It must have been a long 8 years when it rained. She hardly notices the rain much in the house. So she was essentially pretty stressed for the majority of the class. Didn't much listen or focus. Would not take her treats. I felt sad and bad for her. Near the end she started to relax a little bit and did take a couple of treats. Today at home she seems fine. We have gone for a walk and a ride. It's all good.
Well I ran in to the SM this am showed him the paper copy I made that showed I put in for the vaca on the 1st He looks at it and say oh I see it for the first two weeks of next month I said yes and 2 days at the end of the month and the rest at next month (two wks total) He did not give me a yes or a no I looked two times in the system and so far and it still says PENDING not denied or accepted so I will wait in the morning to see what gives
As I was walking to punch out for the day I saw the SM in the office with my AM and the CoM I knocked on the door and them waved me in Big smile on my face I said to Frank the SM DON"T FORGET ME
He imply "Judy you are unforgettable" and breaks out in the song Unforgettable LOL
JudyE, sure hope the vacation time is approved and you are told quickly - today would have nice but tomorrow at the latest.
Going to watch the last few minutes of Smarter Than a Fifth Grader (I find I am often not much better than a first grader). Then I will have an intense discussion with Sandperson regarding job responsibilities. Sandperson claims Evil Jufie is to blame for sleep disruptions. That cannot be because evil Jufie has been jailed for behaving inappropriately in public.
Does anyone watch Daniel's Panda Cams? He is going to call it quits I believe the end of the month. He has done this page for a long time. Sad to see it go.
Had a nice visit while at gym with Jordyn None for Thur because Open House at her school BOY oh boy all a sudden the school has a rash of teachers that have left They are interview today for 7 teachers
Found out that they only get about 40T a year that just doesn't seem fair and I can see why some are moving to other school that pay better but boy at the last week before school seems odd But then the principal did give her notice two weeks ago and that may be the reason why The principal is moving up in the school system
after gym I went to the park so pretty the sky Storms all around the clouds where so pretty with colors of sunset and storms I can hear rumbling in the distance so far no rain This is our normal summer pattern of heat of the day thunder storms
No eagle was on the new tower Yet Hope the take to the new tower so far that I know of no one has seen them on the tower Now they have been on the high power lines near the tower but not thetower
About to fall into the pillows! Too pooped to pop!!
Another good day at Camp Hawkwood. Today we went to Ripley's believe it or not and the Wax Museum. A one time is enough visit but Jacob really enjoyed it. At home Jack had a soda can robot for him to put together. All in all a much better time than June. Jacob is more cheerful and agreeable. Thank goodness!
Kay, we were just getting athletic type shoes for school. He wanted some really ugly, high tops. Looked like made of plastic, really ugly and hot looking. His mother agreed, no high tops except for basketball. also, they were fairly expensive.
Tomorrow we are going to Omni Imax theatre to see Journey to the South Pacific.
Ribs last night, steak tonight and Mac and cheese tomorrow. Gotta get all the best foods in! Lol
She was here on Monday evening when Smokey and I got back from the vet's with Smokey. She had a routine visit for ear cleaning and shots. Kathryn was home from work, so she and Virginia were visiting.
Kitties are much better with each other. Still some fussing, but not as bad as before.
The book talk last night was interesting, though there were only a few people. One lady was from Huntersville and came because she and Virginia have a mutual friend from there.
Virginia thinks Smokey might have some Siamese blood in her. She is turning out to be slim with long legs and a long tail. She also has a triangular head. Allie is chunkier. She is a very pretty tortie.
Yes, Kathryn posted pictures of the two kitties sleeping together on the cat tower. I probably cannot post that picture here unless I get her to send it to me via email, but I can get more pictures. However, it's a cute one, so maybe I'll try a screen grab.
Glad to see that your Camp Hawkwood is going well, Lolly.
Goodness me, such issues with the Sandperson and Jufie, Judie. Virginia is pleased that you are interested in her books. She wanted to write mysteries because she loved Nancy Drew books as she was growing up. They're adult Nancy Drew stories.
I see I mentioned pictures and a picture--there was one especially cute one. I will work on getting that one over here. Two kitties hanging over the side of the tower in similar poses.
Lynne2 . . . I do hope today is better.
A prayer request: My good friend Jeanne has a daughter who is very ill. Megan has pancreatitis and is hospitalized in DC, having been taken there by helicopter. She's only 29 and has always been healthy. Megan is a special ed teacher in Prince William County here in Virginia. Kathryn babysat her when she was a child.
Today is going to be busy.
Virginia will be leaving to head homeward in New Jersey.
My cleaning lady is coming.
Tonight I host bridge. Three ladies are coming instead of the usual seven due to vacations and illness, etc.
Proofreading . . . It was Hunter and I who got back with Smokey. Smokey is the most vocal kitty I have ever encountered. She hollered all the way to the vet's. Hunter tried to calm her, then he got frustrated. Fun trip. A hollering kitten is somewhat like a crying newborn. Frantic and hard to ignore.
Shirley, I would love to see a photo of your new kitten. Good to hear the kids are getting along better already.
It was a nice birthday - sold the tandem kayak. Borrowed a single from a fiend to try out for a few days and took it out in the canal for about an hour. Saw a great blue heron, a green heron, an osprey, and a belted kingfisher but, as Shar would say, no partridge in a pear tree. Denny cooked, then we went for ice cream for dessert.
First off belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDI AND CANDI!!!!
LOLLY: holding your friend close in heart and thought for her highest and greatest good
It was a busy four days off. Yesterday was especially so! Niki and I tackled the downstairs room. The walls once upon a time were paneled. Then someone put the stucco stuff up. And then the walls were painted. Most were white, half dark gray/black. We tackled the dark wall yesterday. Two heavy coats of kilnz, and a nice new coat of paint then we started to scrub the floors and such.
By the end of the day my entire body was aching. I was glad to dent some pillows!
Heading to work shortly. Hope everyone has a great day!
Cam picture is so clear I almost expect to see a Shep enter the nest pushing a tiny lawn mower. Really nice sharp image. Thank you camera gurus.
Shirley, so happy you and Virginia had time together again. Yes, Siamese are very vocal, have an opinion on anything and everything, and are not shy about expressing those opinions. They typically sound like a crying baby. A towel over the carrier can help quiet them when they travel - blocks out rapidly changing images that can frighten. Have a nice time with bridge. Win big! I suspect I will enjoy Virginia's books -- when asked why I specialized in criminal psyc., I say because my mother giving me Nancy Drew mysteries to read.
Prayers for Megan. Hope she recovers quickly.
Congrats on the sale, Sandi. Glad you and Denny had a nice evening. Enjoy the tennis.
Lynne2, hope the day goes well for you. Any update on how the critters are adjusting?
Off to get my "do" did this morning. Overcast and humid again today. Can't wait for cool weather.
I do remember that Siamese kitties are vocal. I had a friend who had a Siamese cat, and I swear we could hear that cat when we drove by her apartment with the car windows open.
Oh, I will remember to put a towel over the carrier, Judie. It was quite a trip. I would have survived the cat hollering much better without the Hunter fussing.
I have posted a couple of pictures on my blog. I await confirmation by those of you not on FB that my screen grab was successful.
Had a long conversation with the guy at ATandT on Monday and learned a few things. I need to exit out of Scrabble by hitting the "home" button. That closes the session. If you just back out, the session keeps running in the background and uses data. Also, he suggested turning off the phone for a few seconds every few days or maybe every day. Just leave it off for about 10 seconds. Additionally, I uninstalled the Scrabble game, then re-installed it.
We also discussed some ideas for my trip to France. He said that I should never send anything unless I am connected to wifi. He said that he had a customer who watched a Netflix movie while he was on a plane and got a bill for $2,000. Now, I would not consider doing such a thing, but wow!
Smokey is now sleeping on my bed. I realized this morning that she had spent the night in my room when I heard some rustling. Then she appeared next to my bed and greeted me with a meow.
OMG! Did you hear? Ronald McDonald killed Burger King right in front of Dairy Queen. It's being talked about all over Boston Market. Burger King just couldn't keep his Jack in the Box and was Dunkin Donuts under the Sheetz.. but then compared to McDonald's Wimpy Little Caeser, it's no real wonder why his girl, Wendy, cheated on him. KFC said the funeral will be at Church's. You going? I'm taking the Subway!!!..LOL
LOL - ROFLMBO Glo, you just made my morning brighter ! You put a scare into me with your OMG! Thank you dear friend - HAGD
Good morning to all ♥ Dismal out there today - no sunshine - would love to have some rain as things are getting dry and brown and the rain yesterday missed my valley.
Shirley you have a friend named Smokey. Happy the AT&T guy gave you good information.
On the live feed - HD picture is so clear. Do notice that the cam is buffering every few minutes. I hope Steve keeps us informed about the schedule of the tree crew and the other events concerning the new cam. As of now on the live feed I can figure out some of the icons on the bottom menu bar but not all of them. I am unsure what features will be handled on the still cam. MTBR
Prayers for Megan to receive the best care possible.
Shirley on FB you can click on the pic of the two kittens on Kathryn's page and save it and then repost to wherever. They are precious together - I need to check out your blog on here. Enjoy your bridge this evening - what did you do with your $4 from last time?
Judie - Sand person was good to me last night - slept like a baby straight thru the night. Look beautiful with your new 'do' - I still have no reason to get a new 'do' It is growing but I can't see any curls yet like last time.
NC Suzan - I have always watched Daniel's Panda Cams. I will miss them too. Jeopardy last night with Kids Contestants were asked about Bao Bao at the zoo - like what was she - They got it right with the answer PANDA. She is famous!
Yep, JO, the nest cam is lookin' good as the techs continue to test. Shep n' Belle have landscaped beautifully---two Seasons now represented with summer green grass and autumn leaves.
GLO, thanks for the big roll on the floor laugh!
SHIRLEY, the kittens are cute as a bugs ear! I, too, was a Nancy Drew addict, but it didn't translate into being able to write mysteries---I'm in awe of authors like Virginia! Prayers for Megan and Jeanne---for healing and strength.
JUDIE, it's "do day" here, too. Seth now goes to my salon for cuts and so we're going together for the first time. A grandmother/grandson experience I never envisioned. He's gone to a regular barbershop with his dad for years--just walk in and take the next available chair. He has a really good head of hair and it looks ever so much better with Justin's expert touch and shaping. It took a while for Julie to talk him into going to a salon, but he finally agreed, saying, "I like the cuts Grandmother gets." I think it helped that my hairdresser is a man and that I've mentioned seeing many men and boys there.
SANDI, so glad you had such a lovely birthday! You saw a beautiful array of birds while kayaking!
LOLLY, glad Camp Hawkwood is having a good year--so nice for Jacob to have a specialized camp where his favorite foods are the order of the day!
Really disappointed. Washed our Camp Hawkwood shirts and they got splotchy from the lettering. Oh, well...$3 shirts with iron on lettering. You get what you pay for!
Annie was VERY vocal. OMG her crying when we took her to the vet! And, then we had to put her in the garage at night to get any sleep. Yes, Siamese are vocal, but our Skipping is not. She does not make a sound in the car and we seldom hear anything except a tiny meow. She is a mix, looks mostly Siamese but love her tiny meow!
GLO I loved it For a moment I had to go back to make sure it wasn't JUDIE LOL
and I love the clarity of the new live feed and hope the buffering gets fixed we will see when they are done Lots of freezing even on my tablet stopping can't tell if buffering on it not on the bottom of cam like the laptop is no buffering area on it I could never figure that out Do any of you have the MOON and the ANT on the screen like my tab doe????s but not laptop
Returned from my "do" session. New location same stylist. New place is nicer. Stylist is still not sure. Than, as I walked to my car, I was accosted, yes accosted by a nasty thing called humidity. Did not seem to appreciate my "attitude."
JudyE, happy you have your dental vacation approved. Just make sure you schedule some time to relax and enjoy time away from work.
Kay, I think you and Seth getting "do dids" together is so sweet. Yes, real men do use salons.
Guess Sandperson has to be on time out every once in a while, Jo. Glad you slept well last night.
Glo, thank you so much for the hilarious laugh. So clever.
Okay, Virginia's books have arrived. Headed to the recliner with the ceiling fan twirling to puruse my new reading material.
Is Mei Xiang (Bao Bao's mom at national zoo) in labor? Fingers crossed. It looks like she is banging her head on the wall, so she might. You may wish to watch Mei
Hey Jo. Can't tell. Test indicates a cub w/birth any time. Will keep looking. Any word from Mits? Let's all say a Panda Prayer for a successful birth and healthy babe.
Off to do some reading. Not much of interest on tv tonight.
Having issues with my tablet can't get the zoom to work only on the ca . All other sites I can take fingers and manipulate the screen but all a sudden not the live fee . Bummer don't know why all a sudden
Larry had his PET scan a month ago. They may have seen something on his lung. He has to wait until October to get another scan and a CT as well. So we are in waiting mode.
We'll see what his Dr says about the scan tomorrow.
PAULA sending positive energy and vibes and hope and pray that there is no new spot and what they saw was a shadow or something else
What do u use tablet Ipad or laptop PAULA and yep the still is kaput for now
and mums the word COOLBEANS on retiring also I may be retiring before I want to all depends if I get my Dec vacation approved to go on the cruise with family and friends if the deny I will just retire earlier MTBRL
Paula, Oh my goodness that's a big thing, quitting work to spend time with Larry! I'm happy that you are able to do that but to be honest, it makes me worry a little about his health....you both have my prayers.
Buddy Guy huh? I really like his stuff! Hope you have a good time!
Sorry about John and Ajay. Glad the G-kids are doing OK. I know they tried hard.
Had my mammo, lots of cysts and things in there, had my ultrasound last Friday which I always have to have after my mammos because I am very cystic. Wasn't expecting anything other than the usual cysts but there is a suspicious lump. I have to go for a biopsy next Thursday AM and they set me up with a breast cancer doctor at the breast center at the hospital for the following Tuesday to discuss results. Wow, that sounds ominous, doesn't it. I can't even feel the damn thing. My bloodwork last month was all normal. Wouldn't there be other things if this was serious? No one knows except for Steve and his mom. I have been able to think of little else since then. Can't imagine how hard the wait from Thurs to Tues will be waiting for the results.
Just checked my next week schedule was 3 days 9-6 and one 8-5 which is ok but would rather have the 7-4 for the reason if I have any one hand changes to do they have to be done by 4 and with me doing all the price changes now that is important So for the good of the store they changed it to 7-4
so excited my first Sat off and Jordyn doesn't know I am just going to go over to their house to surprise her
Paula, prayers and positive thoughts for Mr. Stufmuffin. Regardless, so happy you are able to leave the work world to spend time with him. Please give him our best wishes. Also will continue to hope for the best outcome for John and Ajay, especially the youngsters. They tried. Prayers. for all.
JudyE, hope you get all the scheduling set as you need it. If not, you will enjoy retirement.
Lynne2, you know your blog family is here to support you and you know that Momster prayers are very powerful. You certainly have our love and support.
Wonder if Shirley won the bridge pot tonight? More money for her dream vacation.
Lynne, you know we have you covered in prayers. Prayers, too, for peace waiting for the Test results! Love you!!
Prayers, also, for Larry.
Come on, guys! Time for good news!
Good day at Camp Hawkwood! Tomorrow afternoon we take him home. Cooking dinner for the Fritz family. Also, my sisters oldest step grandchild has moved into the dorm at North Texas for her freshman year. She is coming to Laurel's for dinner. Going to surprise her with a birthday cake and presents as her birthday is Sat. Ah, to be 18!
I thought I could just pop in here and say goodnight but too much news !
The panda - Mei - Mits should have had cam duty tonikght but attended the game to see the O's win. It is a bit early according to Mei's sonogram. Mei certainly looks like she is ready to deliver.
Paula - good heavens gal you have a lot of news. John and Ajay - they did try - I am glad you feel the grandkids are going to be ok. Pet Scans do show up the least little spot of cancer - I am going to keep him in my daily prayers that the spot will be removed! Hope the talks with the Dr are encouraging.
JUDYE: we really need to discuss what vacay’s are supposed to be! Really???? Dental work?????????????? Glad you got your time off for that, although I will admit that soundslike no fun at all! PAULA; holding you and Larry close in heart and thought for good news!!!
LYNNE2: love and hugs, holding you close in my heart and thought…..blessed be gal.
Yes, thankfully my body aches and spasms went away after a deep sleep. Wow I was wiped out tired. Work was good yesterday; best part was the massage after. Corrie, my friend and now a therapist, said Janet you jacked up your back. I said yeah, I know. She spent almost 2 hours on my back getting the trigger points and tension out. It was def. not a massage to sleep thru. I did a lot of breathing….
More rain today. Everything is still very green. Sometimes it is painfully dry this time of the year and this year is nice. Humidity is yucky, but tha tis supposed to clear out as well.
Today is GS’s bday. He is 8. Will do dinner tonight.
Need to run. Everyone have a lovely day. Hugs and love to all!!!!!
♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE ♪♫ May today be a special one for you. May the year ahead be spectacular. Thank you for all you do for the eagles and for the momsters.
Goodorming my eagle friends. Couldn't pop on earlier b/c our internet & TV were down. So now i'm home from tennis and everything is working fine.
Paula, good to see you on the blog but you really have a lot on your plate right now. Sorry to hear about John & Ajay. Also sorry to hear scary news about Larry. I don't understand - if they think there might be something on one lung, why in God's name would they say wait until October to take another look????? I'm glad to hear you are giving up the job - what good is a place in Mississippi if you are working and can't go there in the winter??
Lynne2, shame on you for saying that sharing the results of your mammogram constitutes whining! We would be most upset if you didn't let us help you through this. Prayers for you that what showed up is just a cyst.
Judy, glad to hear your vacation was approved. You must be having some serious dental work done if you need 2 weeks off to take care of it - what's up?
Jo, refesh my memory - what's up next for you health-wise, and when?
Lolly, I'm glad Jacob's visit was a success - does school start for the boys next week?
Kay, I LOVE that you and Seth get your hair done together - what a special grandmom/grandson relationship you have! Lucky you, and lucky Seth!!
Cloudy here and rain is in the forecast - we even got a few sprinkles on the tennis court. Sounds like a good book-reading day, with maybe a nap thrown in!
Many happy returns to STEVE, our generous host! Have a Happy Day!!
LYNNE2 and PAULA's dear Larry---positive thoughts and prayers wafting your way from Central Ohio! Of course, JO, you know we're always "on it" for you. The C word comes up all too often in our lives--please, GOD, guide researchers to The Cure!
JANET, glad you got that good massage after a busy day and in time to celebrate the grandson's birthday!
Top o' the morning to you, LYNNE1 and JUDIE--have a great day!
JUDY, if early retirement is the eventual solution to the vacation time dilemma, it may be a blessing in disguise. I can't say enough about retirement and it's joys. I was 70 and a half, as the kids say, when that blessed day came for me. The timing was forced as I prepared to move back to OH from AZ--my blessing in disguise! I know there are those who work beyond that age, but being a WallyWorld greeter is not for me☺.
Eileen called early today to say she can extend her stay into Monday--yeah! Today is all about Krogering in prep for the "girls". I'm so excited!
Prayers for the aforementioned Momster needs and all others in need!!!
Hey, SANDI! Happy to see you checking in after tennis! Yes, Seth and I have a very special bond and now one more shared interest---getting a good haircut every six weeks. You're so right, what a lucky woman I am!
Today I get the CT for the Cyber-knife which the 3 days could be this upcoming week. This is a precaution to just be sure none of the micro-cells don't linger.
I have Panda cam up/running and sound turned on. Mei is having a Topsy-turvy time of it. I'm thinking that I not only hear all her grunting I am going to hear that little cub squeal.
We have and are having some rain. We really had started to get brown lawns and flower pots have withered flowers/plants.
To Steve Chase, naturalist, conservationist and to whom we look for new threads....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jo, Mei is acting like she is ready to go isn't she?
Shirley, loved your pics. You look fantabulous!
Paula, hoping for a healthy outcome for Larry and a happy move for you.
Lynne2, a couple of years ago my daughter went through something similar to what you are experiencing now. Her paternal grandmother and aunt both have/had cancer. You can imagine how my daughter felt, fear, sadness etc. She was only 37 at the time. Not even going to try and tell you how I felt. My only child. Very tense time. Finally, the biopsy. Then the wait. Benign. Beautiful word. My point? Yes, you will worry but try not to do it to much. Don't become obsessed with all the what ifs. You need your strength and sanity and the animals need you and we need you.
Good morning! Presently 68. Was 65 this morning. We finally got a little rain, too. Maybe 3 tenths. Not a lot but WET! Have AC off and windows open. Yea!
Yes, boys and parents start school Monday. Meet the teacher is tonight for Jacob and after that a pep rally at Joseph's high school. Band is playing!
Zach started school this past Monday. He is a 4th grader now. Hard to believe. Michael sent me a great picture of the two of them.
SANDI I am getting an new Crown I shall be queen LOL don't tell Lynne2 and the with the new crown my existing partial will not fit so I will be without bottom teeth the partial till I get the new one which takes 2 weeks to make the do them out of house They use to have a lab there but the lab did shotey work so that is why they send it out now I guess besides me other complaints about holes in the dental partial they made I said that means the plastic is in my body since it wears down and makes a hole in them
Just got home picking Jordyn up earlier and lunch at Chickfla now she is in her room playing have to get her to her house by 4 to change for tonight open house at her school at 5

I haven't taken the time to read back at all, but just want to let you know that Ken got his new pacemaker put in this morning, and he's already back home! He came through it great. The same surgeon as last time implanted the pacemaker, and he's very nice. He came straight from the O.R. to the waiting room to tell me how everything went. The new pacer is a different brand than the other one, and a slightly larger unit, but the battery on this one should last 12 to 15 years! That's great--the less often they have to poke around in there, the better! The technology on this one is supposed to be much superior to the old one, too. Hope they are correct on that assumption! I pray to God that they are! Do NOT want any more scary late-night E.R. trips! Thank you all for your prayers and well-wishes for Ken. They're working, because he's feeling good! Will try to get back here after dinner, and I need to read back and see what's happening. Need to feed Emma her "lunch" first, though. She had to eat breakfast early today; it was barely daylight outside! Later, alligators. I ♥ us!!
Well, after several small storms and a few bouts of rain, the last of this is moving through. Looking forward to the better weather this cold front will bring for the weekend!
I've just found out that the woman who took the donkey's has decided she does NOT want the pigs, saying they "are bigger than I thought they would be". Oh brother..... So for now they'll still be here!
Foraging accomplished and the scullery restored to order after dinner.
Andy, so very happy to know that Kubby is home and all is well, literally, for some years to come according to Jo (213-215 years) Wowzer! Doggy kisses for Emma and hugs for you and the medical team.
Lynne2, so sorry that the donkey lady does not want the pigs. Just as well. They (the pigs) need someone who really wants them and will take the best care. As for you, please know we are all here for you every day. We do need our queen.
Jo, thank you for the update. Glad you got some rain. A few of your leftover drops here. Not enough to do any good.
Hi Suzan. So glad you stopped by.
Saying a prayer for the firefighters who lost their lives today and for the families, friends, coworkers they leave behind.
I am headed to the recliner in hopes I can keep my eyes open to read a few pages tonight.
Meanwhile, Sandperson is in the hall closet packing a satchel. Departure scheduled for 11pm.
Just read back and saw Lynne2's post. If there is anything there, it sounds like it has been caught early. Will be thinking of you, Lynne. Keep us posted.
Got some rain here last night . . . a little shower started up just as my bridge friends were arriving, then, later on, it poured. Everyone happy to have some moisture for our gardens and lawns.
And, I think I heard some rain falling this evening since I came upstairs.
Hi, Gang, It's getting kind of late here, but figured I'd better get caught up with the recent happenings before I'm too far behind to possibly catch up!
Happy Belated Birthday to Sandi & Candy! Hope your shared Birthday was really special for each of you!
Happy Birthday, also, to Steve Chase! We truly appreciate all that you do for the eagles, and for us!
Sandi, glad your kayak sold--and so quickly, too! Oh--if need be, single keys on the computer keyboard can be replaced.
Lynne1, hope you're able to get little Lizzie spayed before she drives both of you nuts!
Glo, glad Becky's back at school and healing well. Happy that Patches was able to get through puppy class despite her anxiety. Her behavior sounds much like Emma's on the 4th of July!
Shirley, I've added Megan to my prayer list. Hoping for a speedy recovery for her. I hope there's a good resolution to the AT&T problem, too! Mighty pleased that Luna is doing better.
Lynne2, prayers are ongoing for you, too. We've got your back, and we'll pray you (and us!) through this.
Paula, so sorry about John and Ajay. They really have tried hard. Glad the grandkids are doing OK. I'm relieved that although they may have found a spot on Larry's lung, they have apparently caught it early. However, why don't they do a second PET scan and a CT scan NOW? Why do they want to wait 2 more months? Glad you are able to quit work and spend more time with him.
Well, I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open, so think I'd better say goodnight. SED, everyone! God bless! I ♥ us!
We got a downpour sometime during the night (rain hitting the skylight in my bathroom woke me up) and it's still gray this morning. Sun is out in Shepherdstown. Eagle Cam posted that Belle showed up in the nest early this morning so I am going to keep the cam open for a bit. I sure would love to see an eagle with this new view - there are photos of the AM visit on Facebook but they're black & white.
Oh, we video chatted with Brian, Lynnis, & Freyja last night. On Wednesday, Freyja figured out how to open one of the windows in their hotel suite - they're on the 15th floor - so Brian pitched a fit. Yesterday someone came and bolted the window shut and tomorrow, they will be moving out of the hotel and into a temporary house close to the Embassy until their permanent house is ready for them to move into. Hopefully the house will actually have a washer & dryer that work and it will be more convenient for Lynnis to take the dogs outside to do their business. Plus, the drive for Brian to get to work will be much shorter.
Sandi, so glad the window situation was made safe and a move is imminent. Scary to say the least.
Shirley, glad Luna is much better and hope that Keisha improves quickly. Also glad you got some raindrops. None here. Did you win the gigantic bridge Pot 'O Gold?
Good Friday morning to all ♥ These weeks are passing so quickly - It will be Sept before we know it Well I guess Freyja was tired of the accommodations and found a way to get her family out of there. I know you are relieved just as much as the kids are, Sandi.
Humidity is down today - I guess I could go out and about BUT I really don't have anywhere special to go!
I am still watching Mei on the cam - The feelings we have when waiting for an egg to hatch is how I am feeling watching for a new little cub. She naps a good bit but is very uncomfortable at times. Funny though she will stand on her head and I don't know how that cub is going to get out! lol Mei has just gone back into her birthing area.
On FB it was Eagle Cam - Debi - who captured Belle in the nest this early morning. I have put the pictures on the Eaglet Momsters page and my page. They are beautiful!
This Sunday I am expecting a visit from Master Elliot - very happy Mema I am.
Just a quick check in for prayer requests---may not be here much, if at all, for the next few days. Color me Happily involved with my girls!
JO, I'm coloring you and your grass Happy, too! Enjoy Elliot and the folks he brings along with him on Sunday!
ANDY, I love affirmative answers to our prayers! A big Momster hug for Ken!
LYNNE2, I understand pigs are quite intelligent so I'm sure they're very happy to stay on with you for a while!
JUDIE, thanks for the Sandperson supervision---a good job done here the last few days!
SHIRLEY, good news on Luna and glad Keisha's ER call ended well.
SANDI, talk about a heart stopping moment! That Freyja is one smart cookie and that had to be a scary moment for her parents. Glad things are improving for them in Ol' Mejico!
JUDY, you should be back on the road now with a well running Ford pick-up--enjoy your weekend!
SANDI resourceful child found a way to get moved LOL
just got home had lunch with Angie got sent to her car with a bolt of lightening we were sitting on the picnic table at Chicago Deli
its raining at my house when I got home
Hopefully Jordyn last day of cam didn't get rained out we are suppose to go up at 330 for a last swim at the pool still storming here may not be there Just waiting to here
when I was at the dealer they told me I will be needing shortly brakes so need to get that worked in Need to call back and get a estimate Forgot to ask when I was there
I had the truck there in June with a stuttering of brakes so the did a turn of disc and they said I had about 40% left so something I am not looking forward to but the maintenance is necessary I try to keep he in good shape
So the Dr said Larry had to wait 3 months on the CT scan because it is with contrast and he just had the PET scan...you can only get shot up with so much radiation. He thinks it might be scar tissue...so we shall wait and see.
so, I headed in to work this morning. day before yesterday I was fully booked. then, yesterday, I still was at about 90% but this is what nice weather does: I ended up with two clients! thankfully they were 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. I left work at ten and had the whole day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the weather was gorgeous and I had a plan! I went downstairs and culled thru my two storage rooms, pitching stuff, making a good will pile and organizing stuff!!!!
I also ran to big lots (my addiction) and picked up a couple of things I wanted. then after the drop @ goodwill, I ventured into wally world and got a couple more things.
since niki and I have been working on getting the downstairs prettied up, I added another lamp and pillows for the pillow shams for the kids!!!!
I truly like this young lady!!!!
when I finished with the downstairs I was upstairs, dinner was cooking and I was cleaning the bathroom. niki comes in, and we just sit and chat.....
she and Michael have headed to the gym now.
OH SANDI: what a scare ! so glad things were fixed pronto and the "kids" were able to move to better housing!
tom and I both work tomorrow. livvy is at Chelsea's. she wanted to be there to go to jack's official bday celebration tomorrow. our dinner last night apparently wasn't official enough.
lol
anyway, not a lot else going on. I just feel dandy having gotten so much done!!!
hope everyone has a pleasant night and that the sandperson is kind and delivers lovely sleepy dust and dreams to all!
Howdeeeeee! Worked until almost 2 in the yard and then collapsed!
After two years we finally got a good picture on the night cam of an armadillo. He is just now started to be really destructive in our yard. He has been plowing a new garden in the neighbors lawn. Posted the pic on fb.
It's been a busy day today! Ken and I walked the mall this morning, and then decided to call the doctor, because the cellulitis on Ken's left hand is still the same (no better, no worse) after 4+ days of antibiotic. The doctor took a photo of Ken's hand and e-mailed it to a dermatologist at the hospital. We should hear from them on Monday or Tuesday. Still taking the antibiotic, just to be cautious. The local anesthetic has apparently completely worn off where the pacemaker was implanted, because it was very sensitive today. Ken's taking X/S Tylenol for it. If it's still bothering him tomorrow morning, we may go to the E.R. and have them check it out. Can't be too careful! There's a gauze square over the surgery site, held on with a square of transparent, breathable tape. Ken's allowed to shower, and then just pat it dry. The dressing is supposed to stay in place until his 2-week check-up with the cardiologist. He doesn't have many restrictions: No tennis serves, no full golf swings, no painting the ceiling, and no heavy lifting. He is able to drive a car now, after 24 hours. Amazing.
Sandi, what an awful scare Freyja gave everyone! Glad it was fixed right away, and they are able to move to better housing!
Paula, thanks for explaining. Now I understand the need to wait for the CT scan. Hope it truly is just scar tissue! Prayers continue!
Well, it's getting late here, so think I'll say goodnight. SED, everyone. God bless! I ♥ us!!!
Goodorming my eagle friends. Beautiful start to a beautiful day here in Bethany Beach. This morning is a BIG exodus day. When the weekly renters leave by 10am, it will be much calmer and quieter and far fewer renters will be showing up this afternoon, since most MD schools start on Monday. At night, it will be easier to hear the sound of waves from the ocean b/c they won't be drowned out by the sound of cars going up and down Rt. 1. I was even able to turn off the AC this morning and open the house.
Paula, thanks for explaining the need for the wait on the scan. Good to hear some encouraging news for Lary. Still, I know the waiting will be hard.
Kay, I'll be thinking of you this weekend and the wonderful time you're having with your girls! Enjoy every minute of it!
Lynne2, any news on how the donkeys are doing? Maybe the vet will fall in love with the pigs and they'll get to stay??
Jo, enjoy your visit with Elliott today!
Some of you may have read on my Facebook that there was an article in the local news on Thursday that my dermatologist has been doing biopsies and surgical procedures that he had been forbidden to do since October of 2014 by the state board of medical licensure & discipline. As of 8/21, his license was suspended b/c he was continuing to do biopsies & surgical procedures while on probation. And I was one of his patients that he did biopsies and surgeries on! I spent yesterday on the phone with a new dermatologist, the licensure board (who should be monitoring a doctor on probation IMO), my insurance company (who paid the guy for surgeries he shouldn't have done), the doctor's office to get my records, and an attorney.
Beauteous sunshiny morning. Going to be a nice day.
Andy, sincere wishes that Ken is just sore and there is no problem with the surgical area. Hope is hand heals quickly, also.
Thinking of Lynne2 and Larry.
Sandi, so very sorry about the dematologist's illegal behavior. Hopefully, the license will be revoked completely. Hope the new dermatologist is one you like and trust.
Jo, have a fun Elliot day.
Shirley, enjoy the day out River House. Weather should be perfect.
Janet, enjoy the spruced up abode and time with Nikki.
the gal that does the pic and video of FtMeyers she has a video and at the end there is a eagle in the top of the pine tree and YES I see a band on the right foot of the that eagle
Congratulations to Mei - Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute
Panda cub born live on panda cam at 5:34pm. Video and pictures to come ♥
Paula remember how you would leave work to go home and then the Eagles would come to the nest? Well, I have been watching Mei for about 3 days straight and then today I had to leave and it worked - Mei had her cub
Suzan - You are blessed to have seen the birth of Mei's 3rd cub! Tai - BaoBao and now we wait to hear all about this one. ♥

Thank you Steve for this fresh new thread
I'll call the others over
Good morning.
Wishing everyone the very best day possible.
Good morning,
Good grief.
Thanks, STEVE. We love ypur gleaming new threads!
See y'all tomorrow. Prayers for all in need!

Howdy eagle homies I think it was 1206 when I punched
KKAY why aren't you napping ?????
where are my manners Thanks for the new thread STEVE found it when I signed on at McD
Hey no more MCD wifi Walmart has it now
ODD can't get the cam on tablet but on laptop I can
after lunch I have to go to the store mgr and ask for permission to take my two weeks vacation at the end of the month into next month for dental issues
I did put in for it on the first and they have not approved it Just to find out that I have to get with the new store mgr MIRCO MANAGER we call him now
for 25 years I have NEVER NEVER HAD TO ask a SM only my Asst Mgr I know its not WMT policy I will wait and see and if he says no which I doubt he will if he does I am going to the HR officer I just don't think its any of their business why I want two weeks I told the storemgr FRANK I have worked for wmt 25 year and have never had in the past go to a SM to get permission I don't think he liked me saying that but that is the truth
Off to the library.
Good early afternoon to all ♥
Can it get any hotter - some days are even too hot to go to the beach !
My whole week is free to stay inside in the AC - I am even too uncomfortable when I
open the door to the deck!
I am sitting here with heavy eyelids and the headache is back on again. its been off and on since Saturday .
:) woot woot! go Bellevue massage envy!!!!
well, going to try to get some stuff done. later ya'll
Hi all,
Thanks for asking about Mom.
Hoping everyone's health is tip top so you can enjoy rest of summer. Positive thoughts for all pets too.
The live feed is running really great now on lap top and tablet
Notice the counter volume and buffering and other on bottom of live feed where the counter use to be. And the counter is strange for me doesn't start at O and on my tablet its changed also I have a cool pox of moon and ant carrying a cutleaf but not on lapto COOL BEAN . STEVE THANKS LOVIN WHAT I SEE
I am hearing cicadas at the nest
BIG CLUNK AND SHAKE ON CAM
Restful sleep for all.
COLORS GONE FROM NEST
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Stopping by for a brief moment to say
Goodnight to all ♥

Nite
Hi, Everyone,
Thanks, Steve for the new Monday thread.
I ♥ us!
good morning eagle buds
JO Love the new pix
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Have agreat day all.
Good morning.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
Good morning all.
Happy Birthday to Candy.
Lynne2, hope things are better for you today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDI

Not often do we have 2 fantastic Momsters sharing the same birthday.
It's call killing 2 birds with one stone! (That doesn't sound good for an eagle fan)
Sandi - happy the kayak sold so quickly.
Shirley - Kathryn had pics on FB of both kittens with Hunter and also by themselves
lying side by side.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!
Oops, forgot my Liberty ♥'s....♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
CarolAnne I am praying for your Mom to be able to receive the care she needs. I am also praying for your brother's eyes to be opened to her true condition. Prayers

JO so happy you slept good last night
KAY did you have a better night? I do hope so didn't see you sign in early
LYNNE1 do that have catch and release for stray there Here in Fl they do they spay or neuter them for 5-10 and snip on of the ears to show they have been fixed I like that But you just got to catch them to do it
last night the cam was really loud with what I am assuming was CASCADES I think
MARGY or WANDA are they in that area now what ever it was was loud for a bit on and off
talk at ya all later I hope everyone has a good day in no matter what they do
OH I also noticed on my tablet that if I open another tab The live feed stops and has arrow when I go back to it (like all the other sites have in the past) The old camera always kept running on the tab anyway I can't tell if it does it on the lap top because of the buffering
Well I ran in to the SM this am showed him the paper copy I made that showed I put in for the vaca on the 1st He looks at it and say oh I see it for the first two weeks of next month I said yes and 2 days at the end of the month and the rest at next month (two wks total) He did not give me a yes or a no
I looked two times in the system and so far and it still says PENDING not denied or accepted so I will wait in the morning to see what gives
GLO pretty soon she will be playing piano just like the video you posted on FB LOL She will adjust she has come a long way since you have gotten her
Ok its bye for real I think I pulled several MAGPIES LOL

we all laugh so hopefully he will approve it
Good mid-even tide.
Wishing everyone restful sleep.
Candy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope the ocean breezes whistled happy tunes to you all day!
Sandy, Happy Birthday! May all your wishes come true!

No eagle was on the new tower Yet Hope the take to the new tower so far that I know of no one has seen them on the tower Now they have been on the high power lines near the tower but not thetower
gonna go watch The Whispers I dvrd

Lol
Night all! SED!
Good morning,
Have been busy with Virginia . . .
She was here on Monday evening when Smokey and I got back from the vet's with Smokey. She had a routine visit for ear cleaning and shots. Kathryn was home from work, so she and Virginia were visiting.
Kitties are much better with each other. Still some fussing, but not as bad as before.
A belated happy birthday to Candy and Sandi!
Wishing everyone a good day. I might crawl back between the covers for a bit.
Oh, Judie, you are much smarter than a 5th grader. :)
Good Morning Eagle buds
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Tennis this morning at 8am. Have agreat day all.
good morning!
just catching up before I hit the ground running this AM.
SHIRLEY....Siamese are VERY vocal, so that's another clue of the heritage!
BBL
Good Wednesday morning to all!
Good morning.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Hi Lynne2,
I do remember that Siamese kitties are vocal.
Need to check the cam.
Oh my! That image is really clear. And we have quite a crop of grass in our nest.
Hi Shirley,
The picture of Smokey and Allie on the cat tower is fantastic. Thank you so much.
Really good information from AT&T.
Bye
Have a good morning everyone.

getting dry and brown and the rain yesterday missed my valley.
Shirley you have a friend named Smokey. Happy the AT&T guy gave you good information.

buffering every few minutes. I hope Steve keeps us informed about the schedule of the tree crew and the other events concerning the new cam. As of now on the live feed I can figure out some of the icons on the bottom menu bar but not all of them. I am unsure what features will be handled on the still cam. MTBR

Shirley on FB you can click on the pic of the two kittens on Kathryn's page and save it and then repost to wherever. They are precious together - I need to check out your blog on here. Enjoy your bridge this evening - what did you do with your $4 from last time?

like what was she - They got it right with the answer PANDA. She is famous!
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good morning! Chance of rain! Praying!
Love auto correct. Skipping? Really?
Jo, I love watching the cam on my iPad. It never stops. I can zoom in with my fingers. The picture is amazing! Want to see an eagle!!!
Lolly -
The picture on the live cam is always there -
BUT watch the leaves -
when they stop moving, the cam is buffering.
HOWDY on lunch 1229 been reaqding the blog
GLO I loved it For a moment I had to go back to make sure it wasn't JUDIE LOL
and I love the clarity of the new live feed and hope the buffering gets fixed we will see when they are done Lots of freezing even on my tablet stopping can't tell if buffering on it not on the bottom of cam like the laptop is no buffering area on it I could never figure that out
Do any of you have the MOON and the ANT on the screen like my tab doe????s but not laptop
I GOT MY 2WK VACA APPROVED SOME VACA IT WILL BE lol
DENTAL WORK YUK
SASSE has a video of juvie eagles picking on his stuffie of a eagle I hope it show up for you all
ARE you my mommie
LOLLY I love my tablet its like your stays up better than desk or lap top I wonder why
oh so pretty a view these eagles have but the snow watch the volume loud eagles LOL
You may wish to watch Mei
http://nationalzoo.si.edu/animals/webcams/giant-panda.cfm
Use Panda Cam 1
Hey Jo. Can't tell. Test indicates a cub w/birth any time. Will keep looking. Any word from Mits? Let's all say a Panda Prayer for a successful birth and healthy babe.
Off to do some reading. Not much of interest on tv tonight.
Good evening eagle buds
Having issues with my tablet can't get the zoom to work only on the ca . All other sites I can take fingers and manipulate the screen but all a sudden not the live fee . Bummer don't know why all a sudden
And on my tablet full screen doesn't work never did on the cam
Evening all!
Had to hop on and get the 100 post :-)
So we are still old cam but high Def feed?
I fixed my issue I went into the google settings and there is a place to click to fix if yeah now I can zoom again on the cam
Judy I see the ant pic on the live feed. I take it the still cam is not working at present.
Heading to Larry's tomorrow night. We are going to see Buddy Guy at a venue in Rehoboth. So one more day of work this week As I am taking Friday off
Larry had his PET scan a month ago. They may have seen something on his lung. He has to wait until October to get another scan and a CT as well. So we are in waiting mode.
We'll see what his Dr says about the scan tomorrow.
Been working on house projects. ..ceiling fans...bathroom fans...house washing...etc.
John and Ajay are separated...this time for good. They certainly tried hard...gkids are doing fine. Michael and Laura are doing well.
I am probably going to quit work on Jan 1...want to spend time with my Larry. No mention on FB please.
PAULA sending positive energy and vibes and hope and pray that there is no new spot and what they saw was a shadow or something else
What do u use tablet Ipad or laptop PAULA and yep the still is kaput for now
and mums the word
COOLBEANS on retiring also
I may be retiring before I want to all depends if I get my Dec vacation approved to go on the cruise with family and friends
if the deny I will just retire earlier MTBRL
Paula, Oh my goodness that's a big thing, quitting work to spend time with Larry! I'm happy that you are able to do that but to be honest, it makes me worry a little about his health....you both have my prayers.
Buddy Guy huh? I really like his stuff! Hope you have a good time!
Sorry about John and Ajay. Glad the G-kids are doing OK. I know they tried hard.
Glad you got your Vaccation Judy but I do hope you'll have some FUN during that time and that it's not all going to be dental distress for you!
Kay, that is so awesome that you and Seth had your DOs done together! What great memories you are making! Got pictures?
Lolly, that's a shame about the shirts...but MEMORIES are still made!
ALL of you Grandma's...you have no idea how special you are to your grandkids. I miss my grandparents SO much!
Sandi, glad you enjoyed the borrowed kayak and hope you get one of your own real soon! They are awesome for wildlife viewing!
Janet, hope your aches are gone by now!
Shirley, hope you and Virginia are having a great visit and JUDIE, hope you will enjoy Virginia's books!
Uh, Jo...I wouldn't worry about your curls since you have such a massive feather head dress by now!
Well, it's now time for that WHINE.
NO FACEBOOK MENTIONS PLEASE!
SO, I humbly ask for your prayers!
Just checked my next week schedule was 3 days 9-6 and one 8-5 which is ok but would rather have the 7-4 for the reason if I have any one hand changes to do they have to be done by 4 and with me doing all the price changes now that is important So for the good of the store they changed it to 7-4
so excited my first Sat off and Jordyn doesn't know I am just going to go over to their house to surprise her
Lynne, we've got you covered.
LYNNE2 you know we will pray you through this healing thought coming your way
Bear had head caught in bucket for a month watch the rescue
video is down the page a bit
there are two video on it the first shows taking it off and below is another shows the pursuit of rescue
Prayers of course Lynne2. Is this going to be a needle biopsy?
Good late evening.
So much news tonight.
Sandperson is on the way. Restful sleep for all.
BEAR KNOCKS DOWN FENCE GOES IN POOL AND SPA
Lynne...you are in my thoughts and prayers that the biopsy shows no issues. Hugs.
Heading towards the pillows. Night all! SED,
Lynne..and that is what Larry said..I don’t feel sick. Guess we should both be thankful they may have found something early.
John and Ajay - they did try - I am
glad you feel the grandkids are going to be ok.
Pet Scans do show up the least little spot of cancer - I am going to keep him in my daily prayers that the spot will be removed! Hope the talks with the Dr are
encouraging.
Lynne2 - I will pray that it is just a cyst and hopefully it will be removed.
You know you have our prayer power ! ♥
Goodnight to all ♥
good morning to all.
♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE ♪♫
May today be a special one for you. May the year ahead be spectacular.
Thank you for all you do for the eagles and for the momsters.
Good morning.
Overcast here. May be some rain/storms.
May go foraging.
Thinking of Lynne2 and Larry and Jo's upcoming cyberknife visits.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning eagle peeps.
What, no Sandi or JudyE posts yet today?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Steve, our fearless leader.
Good morning,
Watching Jimmy Carter at his press conference. Wishing him and his family the best.
Hope that everyone is well this morning. I am sitting here craving a second cup of coffee.
Have agreat day all!
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Hey, SANDI! Happy to see you checking in after tennis! Yes, Seth and I have a very special bond and now one more shared interest---getting a good haircut every six weeks. You're so right, what a lucky woman I am!
You have a good day, too!!!
Good morning to all ♥
Today I get the CT for the Cyber-knife which the 3 days could be this upcoming week.
BBL after appointments. HAGD
Happy birthday Steve
Enjoy your special day
Wishing that the year ahead is fantastic
Good morning! Presently 68. Was 65 this morning. We finally got a little rain, too. Maybe 3 tenths. Not a lot but WET! Have AC off and windows open. Yea!
Yes, boys and parents start school Monday. Meet the teacher is tonight for Jacob and after that a pep rally at Joseph's high school. Band is playing!
Zach started school this past Monday. He is a 4th grader now. Hard to believe. Michael sent me a great picture of the two of them.
SANDI I am getting an new Crown I shall be queen LOL don't tell Lynne2 and the with the new crown my existing partial will not fit so I will be without bottom teeth the partial till I get the new one which takes 2 weeks to make the do them out of house They use to have a lab there but the lab did shotey work so that is why they send it out now I guess besides me other complaints about holes in the dental partial they made
I said that means the plastic is in my body since it wears down and makes a hole in them
Just got home picking Jordyn up earlier and lunch at Chickfla now she is in her room playing have to get her to her house by 4 to change for tonight open house at her school at 5

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!!!
Thank you all so much for your support and prayers!
Hi,
Happy birthday, Steve!
Hoping that all is well with Larry and wishing the best for John and AJ.
That was a quick delivery on the books, Judie. I hope you enjoy them.
Almost time to take Luna to the vet. Re-check on her swollen leg. It is much better.
Hi, Everyone,
I haven't taken the time to read back at all, but just want to let you know that Ken got his new pacemaker put in this morning, and he's already back home!
I ♥ us!!
Good news about Ken, Andy. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Thanks Andy for the great news concerning Ken's pacemaker.
Lasting 213 - 15 years is remarkable.
We have been blessed with a long downpour - Didn't do anything for the humidity
but the grass was very happy.
The Jeopardy this week is the Kids. Love watching them.
BBL but if not then this is my
Goodnight to all ♥
Great news Andy!
Good evening.
Restful sleep for everyone.
Good evening,
Just read back and saw Lynne2's post. If there is anything there, it sounds like it has been caught early. Will be thinking of you, Lynne. Keep us posted.
Wow, a pacemaker to wish for . . . 215 years!
Luna's vet visit was good. She is much better, but is having some allergy problems. Needs a bath with medicated shampoo for her sensitive skin issues.
Kathryn and Hunter have headed out this evening to take Keshia to the hospital. She is having stomach pains again.
Got some rain here last night . . . a little shower started up just as my bridge friends were arriving, then, later on, it poured. Everyone happy to have some moisture for our gardens and lawns.
And, I think I heard some rain falling this evening since I came upstairs.
Shirley, I told you I had "Fat Fingers" - lol
Goodnight to all ♥
Hi again,
Just want to say good night. Kathryn and Hunter returned from their trip to help Keshia. All is well. SED, everyone.
Hi, Gang,
It's getting kind of late here, but figured I'd better get caught up with the recent happenings before I'm too far behind to possibly catch up!
God bless! I ♥ us!
Goodorming my eagle friends
We got a downpour sometime during the night (rain hitting the skylight in my bathroom woke me up) and it's still gray this morning. Sun is out in Shepherdstown. Eagle Cam posted that Belle showed up in the nest early this morning so I am going to keep the cam open for a bit. I sure would love to see an eagle with this new view - there are photos of the AM visit on Facebook but they're black & white.
Have agreat day all.
Kay, your big "girl weekend" is here! Enjoy all your girls!!
Howdy sitting air ford waiting for oil change and tire's rotated
Good morning everyone.
Sandi, so glad the window situation was made safe and a move is imminent. Scary to say the least.
Shirley, glad Luna is much better and hope that Keisha improves quickly. Also glad you got some raindrops. None here. Did you win the gigantic bridge Pot 'O Gold?
Positive thoughts for all who are in need.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good Friday morning to all ♥
These weeks are passing so quickly - It will be Sept before we know it
Well I guess Freyja was tired of the accommodations and found a way to get her family out of there.
Everyone HAGD
Good morning,
Thanks for keeping us posted about the pandas, Jo. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with everything.
Good RED FRIDAY Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Nope,I did not win the bridge money this time.
Glad the situation is improving for Brian and family, Sandi. Good that the window was taken care of quickly.
SANDI resourceful child found a way to get moved LOL
just got home had lunch with Angie got sent to her car with a bolt of lightening we were sitting on the picnic table at Chicago Deli
its raining at my house when I got home
Hopefully Jordyn last day of cam didn't get rained out
we are suppose to go up at 330 for a last swim at the pool
still storming here may not be there Just waiting to here
when I was at the dealer they told me I will be needing shortly brakes so need to get that worked in Need to call back and get a estimate Forgot to ask when I was there
I had the truck there in June with a stuttering of brakes so the did a turn of disc and they said I had about 40% left so something I am not looking forward to but the maintenance is necessary I try to keep he in good shape
Evening all.
So the Dr said Larry had to wait 3 months on the CT scan because it is with contrast and he just had the PET scan...you can only get shot up with so much radiation. He thinks it might be scar tissue...so we shall wait and see.
Hopeful news Paula.
Waiting for an update from Jo on the cyberknife schedule.
Shirley sorry you didn't win at bridge. Do hope the kittens are continuing to adapt.
Kay, you must be having a wonderful evening. Enjoy. Check in when you can.
JudyE, what are shortly brakes? Are they for short tiny cars?
Headed to PBS for an hour then to turn some book pages then to dent the pillows.
Sandperson will be on the way at 11pm. Prayers for all in need. Restful sleep for all.
good evening to one and to all.
so, I headed in to work this morning. day before yesterday I was fully booked. then, yesterday, I still was at about 90% but this is what nice weather does: I ended up with two clients! thankfully they were 8 a.m.
SED my friends!
Time for me to say good night. SED, everyone.
Tomorrow we go to the River House. Kathryn, Hunter, and I will be visiting Kathryn's friend Angela.
Howdeeeeee! Worked until almost 2 in the yard and then collapsed!
After two years we finally got a good picture on the night cam of an armadillo. He is just now started to be really destructive in our yard. He has been plowing a new garden in the neighbors lawn. Posted the pic on fb.
Heading to the pillows soon. Night all!
Hi, Everyone,
It's been a busy day today!
Have agreat day all.
Good morning.
Wishing everyone the very best day possible.
Good Morning to All ♥
It is a beautiful morning - I've been out on the deck and it really feels good.
I'm still checking on MEI and hoping for that new cub to come soon. She is resting now.
We do have a clogged drain that hubby and youngest son are working trying to unclog it.
I keep saying Call the Plumber - Men!
I am out to fill the feeder on the porch area.

The zoo says Mei is in labor :-)
I hear a baby panda!!!!
Or is that Mei? The sound for me is not very good.
She is definitely hovered over and looks to be breathing...oh yes...a cubbie!
Hoping for a healthy baby.
Congratulations to Mei - Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute
Panda cub born live on panda cam at 5:34pm. Video and pictures to come ♥
Paula remember how you would leave work to go home and then the Eagles would come to the nest? Well, I have been watching Mei for about 3 days straight and then today I
had to leave and it worked - Mei had her cub
Suzan - You are blessed to have seen the birth of Mei's 3rd cub! Tai - BaoBao and now
we wait to hear all about this one. ♥
Jo, I have been watching too. Just wasn't too sure until I saw the tail if one had really been born! So excited.
Suzan - I know watching most of today that I was getting exhausted with all the moaning and groaning Mei was going through!
I was watching cam1 and didn't know if anything had happened. Now that I went to cam2 you can see her arms covering it. And hear it. Congratulations
Lynne1 - glad you saw that - Cams are down now due to overload. I did put on my FB page the video of her water breaking! Bao Bao is a Big Sister
Congratulations to Mei. May her cubbie thrive. Cam unaccessible - overload demand.
Sandperson is headed to the zoo tonight to keep watch.
Restful sleep for all and for all a good night.
I bought the app ($1.99) so I could see it. It is still working, but there was notice that the demand was high.
