Lunch time here.

Judie said...

Hmmm, seemed to have bumped into two momsters on my way over here.

Shirley, just drive north a little way and you can enjoy all the slaw and crab cakes you want. You don't even need to bring your own sheetz if you stay over.

Lolly, here's an idea. Have liver and onions and have a small pizza delivered for Michael. Everyone wins.lol

Oh, a huge buck arrived in the yard about two hours ago. Ate some azaleas and then decided to bed down in the sunshine near the back fence. Guess he had a late night with the ladies.

JudyEddy said...

watching both Fl nest The SW nest both are in opposite sides of the nest whereas the NE they are cuddled together The sibling fighting seems to have stopped some and they are self feeding so that is good

JudyEddy said...

just noticed that the count on the SW nest is almost at 21 million of course that is since they started last year

JudyEddy said...

I saw a guy in the store today with the prettiest eagle jacket it was all fleece so pretty talked to him he bought it over 4 years ago at the Flea Market They probably wouldn't have any after 4 years
I told him if he every wanted to sell it I would buy it LOL He probably thinks I am nuts LOL Shhh don't tell I am LOL

JudyEddy said...

I gave up on the live feed I have the still up Keep getting the spinning circle so might as well just use the still in case eagle shows up

So, Jack is vacuuming for me and sees a shelf with four college yearbooks on it about to fall. (He says). He takes it down, fixes it, and proceeds to vacuum. In just a few minutes the shelf with books falls. Takes out my lamp an misses my laptop and ipad by inches. I now need a new lamp shade. This one was expensive 43 or so years ago. It matches another lamp shade at the other end of the sofa. What are my chances of finding lampshades I like to fit these lamps? A new project! Dern!!! The lam shades I have are traditional and timeless, I stil loved them. Groan...

Janet - Sheetz is a chain store - sells gas, hotdogs, Bread and milk,
snacks, coffee, and anything you can think of EXCEPT sheets (bed)
It is an old inside Momster's joke concerning Judie and directions and by my using the Sheetz store for a location to turn. Judie couldn't find any store selling sheets......
Every time I pass a Sheetz store and they are in abundance around here I have to chuckle and think of Judie.

stronghunter said...

Sheetz is kind of a fancy 7-11 type place. I always think of Judie when I see one. Just checked their website, and they are hiring. Interesting . . .

stronghunter said...

Hear that wind blowing at the nest. Still moving slowly towards going to the bowling alley.

Mema Jo said...

Sound on the live feed sounds like a wild creature - I can see the moving
branches... But when the circle starts I refresh - after a minute
the circling arrow starts again. I
notice at night the circle doesn't
appear much... Now it circles and then stops on its own.. It's crazy because it isn't there but if I click on another site and go back - it is there again. Does that all make sense ?

stronghunter said...

Do not understand the circly arrow thing, Jo. Mine is spinning, oh now it has stopped and I can see things blowing in the breeze.

Lolly said...

Yesterday Jack told me to reboot. Try that if you are getting the circle thing. I just started up the cam and so far it is doing well.

Lolly said...

Joseph's team won 2 of 3 games for third place in the tournament. That is good!

My cam has now been up 15 minutes!! That is good, too!☺

A very slow afternoon on the blog.

Lolly, what is sopapilla cheese cake - I'm sure it's good, but have never heard that word.

Shirley, have a great time with the kids and all the partying you'll be being with them. Sounds fun!

Paula, did your son and family get there? I bet Paradise is beautiful with a dusting of snow.

Judie, I didn't see your answer about your new do - do you like it, or was it just a freshen up job?

Kay, sounds like Seth was his usual helpful self for his Grandmother. Sounds like you had a lovely time - I knew you would.

Sandi, have you done any shopping for your soon to be here granddaughter yet? You'll have so much fun with that. Maybe teach her to play tennis!

Mom is out shopping at outlets with friends...I ordered vitamins (Standard Process) for Dad, and I have finished my 23 online Nutrition tests! Time to move on to more homework.

Love you all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Well, I thought it was a slow afternoon, until I refreshed a second time and all the comments came up.

LynneDUH, please update us on your new house and how much you're loving it, and how Steve is doing at the new job there. ♥ Hope your back is feeling better.

Janet have a great date night
tonight with your wonderful tubby!
Best wishes to Michael in his new

perfect solution if you have to
sleep in a big truck.

Hoda, what are you up to today? Any big Nelson plans for tonight? Hope it's as cold for you there as it is here. Brrrr. Loved that your head didn't quite blow off with the Potion, but I bet it is HOT!

Hoda said...

Good afternoon all.
Life is good.

LORI I think PAULA is in Eburg!
LARRY is at his place on the beach which I can only remember as Rohaha!!! Brain does not retain the real name.
Funny thing brain is. It understands fast what is within its range if experience or self defence mode or what would be best for it!!! Jumping to conclusions happens often this way and it is not necesseraly what happened!
Arguments take place and I observe. So much conflict within a small group of people on the Dragon Boat Team and those few people are poisoning the air!!!
Blaming others and taking no responsibility and trying to involve the rest.

Hoda said...

Went for a great workshop for Front of House. It is the Theatre group I volunteer with. Informative and interesting to see the area that is back stage and even the under stage.
Off to yoga in a couple of hours.
Congratulations to JOSEPH LOLLY.
Enjoy time with MICHAEL ASH AND ZACHAROUSKI
Sorry about the lamp shades.

Lolly said...

Time for the eagles...I am here waiting.

Lolly said...

Sopapilla, a Spanish word. Sopapilla cheese cake is to die for. Simple simple recipe.

Open two cans of crescent rolls. Spread one on bottom of 9 x 13 pan, sealing the seams. Beat 2 pkgs of cream cheese with 1 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Spread cream cheese mixture on top of crescent rolls. Open up the second roll of crescent rolls and put on top of the cream cheese. Melt one stick of butter and pour over crescent rolls. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake 350 for 30 min. Can serve cold but we like it warm. Keep in refrig.

Lolly said...

And, of course, this has NO calories. It is bound to be good for you!!!

Lolly said...

I am waiting.

Here eagles eagles eagles!!

Think that will work?

Lolly said...

Just had to refresh the cam after running almost an hour. No eagles so far!

Sandi said...

Hi all - cold and blustery here in Bethany today. Just woke up from a nap and I'm waiting for the evening eagle visit!

My live feed isn't running very long today without the spinning arrow popping up. Sometimes it stops by itself, other times I have to refresh the page.

Lolly, good luck with the lamp shades. I'm sure you'll have to replace both for them to match. My experience with shades has been they're so expensive, it's almost cheaper to just buy new lamps that come WITH the shades! Keep in mind, Jack WAS trying to do a nice thing!

Hoda, "arguments take place and I observe." Can you teach me that?? So wise to step back and listen but keep your mouth shut! I can do the listen part - the keeping my mouth shut part is MUCH harder!!

Lori, funny you should ask about buying for BG (that's baby girl since I won't know the name til she's born). I JUST finished ordering a beautiful dresser with a detachable topper that is a changing pad from Pottery Barn - love that place! I knew the crib was espresso - Lynnis bought it while Brian was home so he could assemble it. We told Lynnis at Christmas time that we wanted to buy a piece of furniture for the room. Having it shipped here so Denny can assemble it, and then we'll take it over to the house in Denny's van at some point.

Have put a roast in the oven - haven't made a roast in forever! Got my school work finished today and the laundry - the bathrooms will have to wait.

Sandi said...

OMG Lolly, that cheesecake recipe sounds FABULOUS!!! Nope, no calories in THAT thing!! I will have to write that recipe down! I'm great a writing recipes down but not so good at actually making them! :)

Quick visit.

Crab cakes and slaw in the frig along with tartar sauce.

Janet, Jo is correct. My first visit to the nest, I got lost and was trying to find my way when Jo called my cell. When I explained what I was seeing, Jo kept saying go to the Sheetz store. Never heard of a Sheetz store. I was staying at the less expensive Comfort Inn. Thought it was a WV thing that I needed to bring my own sheets. Really funny after a glass or two.

Lolly, sorry about the lamp shade. I'm sure you will find exactly what you want. Congrats to Joseph's team.

Hoda, enjoy yoga. Would you like me to obtain a temporary release for Evil Jufie to "meet" with the dragon boat baddies?

Lori, just a trim. No change in the "do." How about your presentation? The paper? Did I miss that?

LynneDuh, second Lori. How's the new place?

Okay, putting my feets up for a few before heading back to the scullery.

Oh, I missed the eagles.

Went over to the bowling alley and tossed the ball down the lanes a few times. I think they were getting ready to turn on the crazy lights when I got out of there.

Night light is on, but no eagles there now.

stronghunter said...

Waiting to go out to dinner with Will and Susan tonight.

Lolly said...

Little concerned, Shirley....you tossed the ball? Maybe that is your problem!

stronghunter said...

I guess I should have said I threw it, Lolly. I did my best. Got 120 in one game. For me, that is very good.

Lolly said...

I am sure that for me it would be fabulous. It has been years since I have bowled. Just had to give you a hard time. LOL

stronghunter said...

:)

I keep hearing odd sounds.

Lolly said...

Going to say good night. They are on the way over. Zach called. We had a discussion on who was going to eat what....pizza, or liver and onions, or dirt. The liver and onions or dirt are served with chocolate sauce. Yes, we are silly!

Night all! See you tomorrow. Closing down.

SED!!

Hoda said...

OK!
When I come to W Virginia I must remember to bring my own sheets as they do not sell them in Gas stations!!!
LOL

When I go to Texas I can expect to be served liver and onion with chocolate sauce!

When you all come to Nelson Brownies are on the menu and we can compose a Kootenay Mountain High. Credit to John Denver of course.

SANDI I love it that you are already shopping for BG.
So so much fun.

Feeling good as I head out to yoga!

stronghunter said...

BBL--Time to go to dinner.

JudyEddy said...

How exciting that you are shopping for BG SANDI fun isn't it

I also did the same thing for Angie and she didn't know I was scolded by many for buying things early but I did it and didn't tell the kids for a bit I had everything hid in the NASCAR room and showed it to her after a while She was so surprised I had bought so many things

Mema Jo said...

Shirley and Lolly : You cannot toss or throw the ball down the alley...

You ROLL it .........

It has been years since I have bowled mainly because I only ever did
duck pins and not the ten pins with the large ball with your finger holes. I was good - just not as good as my dad who would roll perfect games... I miss it!

OK, I should be able to check in before we leave in the AM Goodnight all!

Okay. Well, heck, you trow the ball for a short distance and then it rolls down the lane.

Had a very nice dinner with Susan and Will. We went to Bonefish Grill, which is one of my favorite places. Susan must have wanted to go there, since she made the reservation herself. It was her birthday dinner, so why not?

I had steak, a crab cake and asparagus with a nice glass of wine. I'm stuffed.

"Monsieur Le President a perdu son connaisance"
A play on words like only the French can do!
Connaisance could be consciousness or it could be his acquaintance.
It steps back to the 1800's sometime when the then president died while he and his mistress were being intimate. She got frightened and left.
His valet found him in his compromised position and called in the guards to help. He announced Monsieur Le a President a perdu son connaisance to which a guard answered no no I just saw her level the back door.
Back to President Hollande who will apparently let the world know who his First Girlfriend Lady, a term used loosely, the lady part, is in February. Just in time to visit the USA.
The present First Girlfriend Lady has been released from the hospital today.

Good Morning Eagle Buds !!!

What, almost 6 o'clock and no one else is up and at em' ? Lazy Sunday goodorming, yeah ! That's good !

SANDI, thinking of and praying for your dear mother today. It will do her heart good to see your lovely face !

HODA, interesting little history lesson there ! Ah, the French. They do have a different outlook on life than do we uptight American's, don't they ?

SHIRLEY, what a yummy meal you had in celebration of the "kids" birthdays ! My mouth is watering at the thought of it and of JUDIE's scrumptious fare. LOLLY's pizza and cheesecake had to be wonderful, but I'll pass on liver n' onions and chocolate covered dirt ! ☺

PAULA, glad your celebration weekend is going well, too ! JUDIE is right, quite the family fun weekend for many of us. Chases away the winter doldrums !

I imagine some young folks keep an expected babies name a secret so they have the option of changing their minds with no explanations necessary ??? Birthing babies was a breeze for me--my doc said I should have a dozen children--NOT ! I've always said the hardest thing about having a baby, for me, was agreeing upon the name !

Kay said...

JUDYE, you really are having a cold winter down there. Hope the freeze isn't too damaging for crops. I heard something about the Weather Channel on the radio yesterday but didn't catch it all. Sounded like they are shutting down. Seth says the ABC Good Morning America weatherman who recently left for the WC is now on NBC with Al Roker et al. What a blow it must have been to take what he thought was a great opportunity only to have it go bust within weeks ! I'll have to research this rumor.....

Kay said...

LORI, you are now a nutrition expert ! 23 online tests in one day ? Yikes !

JO, as a former bowler I agree, a ball must be rolled. To toss, throw or drop one will garner some alarmed looks from those around you ! ☺

LYNNDUH and SUZAN, loved seeing you here !

Good Morning Kay, JudyE
and everyone to still
jump on the blog this morning.

Sandi, Safe travels to Baltimore.
Praying your
Mom turns around again today and
starts feeling better. I
understand diuretics are pretty
much a standard treament
for pleural effusion, but they can
remove the fluid if it is causing
excessive pain and difficulty
breathing.

Lolly, thanks for the Sopapilla Cream Cheese Cake recipe! I already printed it off for my Mom. She's always looking for something to make for my Dad who likes to have a dessert snack to take with his vitamins before he goes to bed. I may even make it for my Nutrition Banquet project, as I'm sure most people will be making healthy soups and such.

Kay, you were up with the
chickens this morning!
Did Seth spend the night?

Hoda, you are so funny! Thanks for letting me know Paula was in Eburg. I get confused. :)
Sorry for the dissension amongst your friends in the Dragon Boat group. My nursing class is much better now that a few of the troublemakers are gone. There's much more peace in the group.

Oh, I got a 76 (a "C") on my report for forgetting to enter previous surgeries on the past medical history question. I also forgot a few other things, but that was the biggy. I talked with the instructor who graded it and she said she knew I was going to be upset because she could tell how much work I put into it, and called it a "learning experience." Oh well.

Okay. Now I'm off to work on my
Pedeatrics (Peds) project. The
story book. So happy to be off
tomorrow!

Good morning to all. Lazy day straight ahead.
SANDI: holding you and your mom close in heart and thought.
LORI: get your stuff done and relax a bit tomorrow!!!!
LIVER AND ONIONS WITH CHOCOLATE???? Although I’d TRY it, I like mine just like that with a dash of ketchup.
Crab cakes….uh, YUM
Truth be told, there are only a few foods I don’t say yum to….. lol.
Tired this morning. Tom woke up @ 8 and I couldn’t go back to sleep. A nap later, perhaps.
Busy day yesterday. Livvy had sylvan and while she was there I spent the two hours crunching tax numbers. I got a majority of it done. 
Yeah!
I plan to work on that on Tuesday.
We went to see the g/d Amelia cheer at a basketball game yesterday. She is so cute. She is also the tallest out of all the girls there. And she is very enthusiastic. Lol
Chelsea took Olivia so tom and I could have a night out.
Went to academy sports. I needed some more toe socks for my skeletoes. I’d love to know where in the world socks go to? Is it with the shiney green garland? Initially I bought 3 pair, 2 taller, one very short pair, like footies. I don’t like the latter. But…like the ankle high ones. But one disappeared….ONE! and they are very leftfoot right foot….they have toes for pete’s sake! So went out and spent (gasp) $30 on 3 more pair of socks. Thinking of putting them in a laundry bag to keep track of them!

Had a special dinner with Michael last night- Hungarian pork chops. Melt butter, sauté some onions, garlic, add the smoked chops, a dash of soy sauce, paprika , let it simmer for a few min, the add sour cream. His favorite meal. Veggies, and sweet potatoes. I had some bagel crisps and yummy garlic cheese to add to ashely’s meal to make sure the poor girl gets enough, she is vegetarian.
He started his new job this morning. He was flying high on excitement last night!
Today and I think tomorrow is orientation. So he will be home. Then, he heads out in a truck.
Talked with Ashley about maybe taking some business classes. She is an assistant manager @ old navy. She doesn’t want to “waste time” taking classes when she isn’t sure what she wants to do, but like we told her last night, taking basic classes and business classes are NEVER a waste, especially if the company will pay for them! And it will pass the time.
I told her, from my experience as a navy wife, the first month he is gone is THE worst. Especially at the times when he would come home from work, bedtime….i told her we are here. Just come upstairs. If it is too lonely, she can sleep in the spare room or whatever.
Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough. Light, love, hugs, smiles and comfort to all!

Mema Jo said...

TY Kay - I have it bookmarked for the future. Love it that Jim remembers all of us with his prayer ♥

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Agreed, Janet, that taking business classes is a good idea, especially if the company pays for them. Hoping that all goes well for Ashley during this time.

Lori, it looks to me that you have so many grades in your classes that one low one will not make much difference.

So glad you had happy family time last night, Jo.

Prayers for your mom, Sandi.

Know you are enjoying your Seth time, Kay.

Thank you for the detailed eagle report, Judy.

Naming babies--back when Will and Susan were born, we knew we were having twins, but not whether there would be two girls, two boys, or one of each, so we had to come up with 4 names. We never did agree on all of that. It was good that we had one girl and one boy.

Imagine what it would be like to have more than two! Especially if you don't know the gender. Of course, somehow, naming them would be a small problem in comparison with everything else. Yikes!

Love your report on the former French president and his lover, Hoda.

Yes, the bowling ball must be rolled, but my problem is how to throw it so it rolls in the right direction. Getting a little better. Got my first "turkey" awhile back. (Turkey=three strikes in a row.) Unfortunately, it was during practice, not competition.

CNN Report in the Weather Channel is on right now.

stronghunter said...

Interview with Jim Cantore.

stronghunter said...

Weather Channel has been blacked out by Direct TV.

stronghunter said...

Interesting debate--I will say that I usually go to my local TV station when I want local weather reports during extreme times, but the Weather Channel gave a very short local weather report when it might not be on the local channels.

stronghunter said...

But I do not have Direct TV, so I still have the Weather Channel. They are right there selling themselves and giving weather reports.

Good morning.

Thinking of Sandi's mom and hoping she makes great improvement today.

Cold, sunshine, blue sky here.

Cold suggests perhaps pasghetti & meatballs tonight.

Hmmmm, how awkward to depart this world in a "compromising position."

Seems a good time was had by most everyone last night. That is good.

Oh, Bambi that showed up yesterday morning rested in the sunshine behind the azaleas until 4:30pm. I took some breadcrumbs out for the birds, he got up, looked at me, shook his head, settled back down.

Lori, learning experience is correct. Those are mistakes you'll never make in your new career. Hugs!

Nothing special on the agenda today.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Now your Weather Channel report makes more sense, SHIRLEY ! Couldn't imagine it going out of business unless they felt that people get their weather news too many other ways. I don't have cable so I rely on the locals, my computer and my weather radio for the info.

Kay said...

JUDIE, hi and do keep us posted on your dear little Bambi !

We got a couple of inches of snow over night on top of the inch+ already on the ground. Hugh and Seth just shoveled a path from my deck to my garage before taking off to do the same kind of work at their house. I don't plan to drive til' Tuesday for a haircut and Wednesday for lunch with a friend---those things will be cancelled if the weather is uncooperative !

Judie said...

Someone looking for socks?

HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

Kay said...

Research on Sam Champion, former weather guy on GMA.:

On January 16, 2014 he dropped in on former rival the “Today” show. Last month, the longtime “Good Morning America” weatherman signed on with The Weather Channel, which is part-owned by NBCUniversal. Using his new NBC id, Champion was welcomed into the studio, got hugs, and pulled up a chair to chat about his new Weather Channel gig. He's going to be THE director at the WC, even though he is not actually a meteorologist.

Some of this garnered from Wikipedia and some from NBCNews.

Did not want to start a rumor with my earlier comments and questions.

Kay said...

JUDIE, I've missed something ! If anyone is looking for socks, do you have some to spare ? Or, is JUFIE ready to sock one of us if we're lookin' for trouble ?

Kay said...

Looking for clues---JUDIE, does your question have something to do with the avatar you used at that time ?

Goodorming! Still morning here! Michael and family have departed. We had a great time. I was so busy that I did not take pictures, but Ash took a couple.

I was making the pizza when they arrived. I was kneading the dough an I put Italian Seasoning in the dough. Told Zacharooski that was the liver chopped up. He looked at me kind of funny but by the time we ate I think he had forgotten. LOL

When he left he looked at Granddaddy but came to me and said "You get the hug!" Oh boy, did Granddaddy ever get him then! He is so precious and says the funniest things.

Michael and Ash were very pleased with the door mat as they had also noticed that the old one was coming apart. So, we did good. The door mat had their initial E, and is huge. Has to be big for their front door.

Missed church this morn and it is a beautiful non windy day, so Jack and I are going to spend the day working in the yard.

KAY, thanks for the candle link. Did not have it on this laptop!

Janet said...

Yeah, JUDIE, I THINK the evil JUFIE made off with my right toe sock.

Prayers for Sandi's mom and their safe travel to Baltimore.

Those of you near Baltimore or connections to Baltimore, have you ever heard of My Girl Friday? It is a service run by two young ladies. They do all kinds of chores, errands, etc. Well, anyway, Susan English, one of the women is from here and is the wife of Michael's best friend in hs.

stronghunter said...

Oh, missing socks. There is some commercial that says that in your lifetime, you lose seven or eight socks. If only it were only seven or eight.

Where have the missing socks gone?

Are they tangled in the green garland?

Are they wrapped around the evil Jufie?

Maybe they have been spirited away by the Capitol Hill Fox. I think the fox is involved somehow.

maybe the evil JUFIE has put my black toe sock on the fox....and what does the fox say?????? (i saw the book at target btw).....

I love the Fox in Sox !!!! So glad this mystery has been solved.

LOLLY, glad Michael's birthday celebration was terrific !

stronghunter said...

Oh, but be careful about using a credit card to buy the book at Target!!

(Actually, I love Target, so I just take cash there.)

stronghunter said...

Kind of think this image is a postage stamp, though.

Hoda said...

Good hilarious morning to you all!!!
What DOES the fox say indeed!
A new avatar too.
Fantastic!

Not good ski conditions so we cancelled this morning.

Needing to catch up with rest and meditation before a two and a half hours yoga workshop.

All is good.

As usual the trouble maker JUDIE stirred the pot on the sock issue.

Madame First Girlfriend has left the hospital not to the Champs Élysées but to Versailles a sure sign that no reconciliation will take place. Beautiful as Versailles is, it does not bode well to French Queens and First Girlfriends!!!
Segolene Royal the mother of Hollande's four children said years ago, " she had better be on the look out for the next one".
The new one is a mother of two and is estranged from her fifty some thing Argentine husband. Hollande turns 60 this year. She in turn plays sexually charged roles in French movies!!!

What was the president thinking?
Oh yes! In affairs d'amour the French lose their ability to think!!!
Enough I will say no more before I become rude!

No such excitement happens in Canada
Oh sigh
Maybe this is why we are so fascinated?
Too cold here for mid winter motorcycle rides.

When Trudeau fathered a girl out of wedlock he protected the honour of the mother by saying artificial insamination. NOT!

stronghunter said...

I guess Canadian politics are pretty boring compared to French politics. Hmm, sometimes boring is good.

Thinking I might go bowling and fling the ball down the lane.

Judie said...

Interesting about missing socks, the Capitol Hill fox, and the Evil Jufie. The last time my Capitol cop friend said he saw the fox, he commented about some unusual shape to its feet. Hmmmm! Jufie, remember, had not been incarcerated at that time.

Audrey and Grace said they scared Bambi away. He's likely resting up in someone else's quiet, wooded yard. He's a beauty. Likely a real dearmuffin.

Lolly, so glad you had fun last night and the gift was appreciated.

Shirley, just fling that ball down the ally and record a score for each "fling" you make regardless of outcome. Oh, and if you still don't have the score you want, blame it on having to keep your eyes on your new socks.

Hoda, I agree. Based on historical outcomes, Versailles would not be my first choice of residence.

Pasghetti sauce - check. Salad dresing - check, meatballs - check.

Headed across the hall to put my feets up.

stronghunter said...

Pasghetti sauce sounds very good, Judie. I suppose I might add mushrooms for my household. I have always been very impressed with how much Hunter likes them. He will go to the refrigerator and take out the raw mushrooms and snack on them.

In from working in the yard. Laughed out loud...Sh1irley is now tossing the ball down the lane.

We worked 5 hours in the yard. Still have more to go. Need to have my head examined. lol We will eventually have to down size or have a yard service for this clean up! However, we are 3/4ths through!! Planning on sending up fireworks when we are through. Winter clean up is my least favorite job.

Hello! All is well here on the farm....LOVE IT!!! Getting lots of walking exercise between our mutts and the rescues, taking care of the pigs and donkeys!

LOLLY: If you don't know the name of your lampshades, I'd bet that you could put in a description on Google images and find it! Then you might be able to find the shades on Ebay, or Amazon.

Judy that is a great story, and true! That dog died just a couple of months after this all happened. Old age complications mixed with grief....

Good evening to all.
I too have been flinging a bowling ball down the lane tonight. Still adjusting to that new ball. Two stinky scores and one decent one. Figuring it out….slowly.
Tom and I went to dinner at the local bbq place, jim n nicks. Yummy. Have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Love that.
We took a nap this afternoon. We were in bed late last night and up way too early, so nap time was in order.
Well, I changed my avatar, so one could see what the “MIA” sock looks like…in case there’s any question, lol. OH JUUUUFFFFIIIEEE….not naming any names here or anything, lol.

Ya’l have a great night. See ya in the a.m.!

stronghunter said...

Hey Janet, do you have one of those curving balls? I wonder how someone adjusts to those.

The socks look interesting. I do not think I would want something between my toes like that, and I think I would have trouble getting them on, but they are interesting. Sorry you have only one.

stronghunter said...

Watched Downton Abbey. It is going to take me awhile to figure everything out and get the characters straight.

stronghunter said...

Oh my, we are almost to #600. Stay alert, everyone.

Wonder if we lost Gail on one of our splits.

stronghunter said...

Glad that you are back in Paradise, Paula.

Mema Jo said...

Shirley - had you seen the first 2 shows before tonight's Downton Abbey. There are a lot of characters
and it is fast moving. I would even suggest backtracking a full year to really know the characters.

Glad you are home Paula. Enjoy your company tomorrow.

News time - then off to slumber land

Goodnight to all ♥

Janet said...

Stronghunter: we are straight ball throwers. My new one has a tendency to curve off to the right, even though I am right handed. So I am adjusting to that. Tom’s likes to go to the right as well, but he’s left handed.
I don’t’ know how one adjusts to a curve ball. Maybe you could google bowling techniques?
As for the socks….i didn’t think I would like them either. But a friend of mine introduced me to them. They are very light weight and wick the moisture from your foot. They are not too too bad to put on, just have to get used to them.
I bought 3 more pair of Saturday, so I have one for each day of the work week now. They go with my toe shoes (I call them my fred flintstone feet). They are very comfy.

But I’d still love to know how in the world I lost ONE….

Lolly said...

Ahhhh....enjoyed Downton Abby and then Sherlock. Great evening of PBS programs. As for Downton Abby, if someone wants to watch it, you need to find Series 1 and start from there. That tells the whole story. Starting with this years series is not the way to do it. Terribly confusing if you do not know their history.

Sherlock is confusing too, if you have not seen the previous programs.

Really tired now and time to hit the pillows.

Night all! SED!!
