Forecast is for an inch of snow here. We will see what that will do to the schools. My older children were very surprised when school closed for two inches of snow when we first moved here from Ohio.
Maybe Belle was just cursing the snow when she landed in the nest. And, she came down to protect the egg cup. lol Guess we could make up a lot of stories.
WOW!!! JUDYE and LOLLY I am glad you tried your yoga stretch. It strengthens my back too...I had the experience of cracking bones settling in too LOLLY when I first started. JUDYE we let go of the clasp after a minute with arms on top of head and spread our wings so to speak to bring our arms down. This is what one teacher likes to do. The other brings arms back to original position and releases...
We have an expression here The Bigger the Flake the smaller the batch... those flakes look pretty big to me...so let us hope she does not get covered in snow.
Lynne I would take the small house too. I keep posting on FB about small houses and if I find one I think I would even buy in Nelson. It is a good place, yet the folks around here have BIG houses!!!
Even though it was in the teens at Soup Kitchen serving time, we had 70 hungry and cold guests. We served them Lamb Stew over buttered noodles, garlic bread and chocolate cake for dessert. We had two pretty drunk fellas, one told me he was in love with me and wanted to meet me after the SK closed down...Pastor Eddie asked him what he was going to do about my big husband over by the wall...he then said "Uh, oh, I'll have to think about that!" Didn't bother me anymore after that:) Settled down with his meal and then left.
GG had an appointment today to get her do-done and I hated taking her out in these fridgid temps but I wrapped her up in a warm coat and scarf and Gene dropped us off at the store's front door. Not much walking involved...had her walker with us and used it to push her along. She is pleased with her nice, fresh look:)
Good night dear friends, sleep well...Love for all2
Wow eagle spent the night in the nest. Guess it's Belle? Too dark to see, but that is what someone reported last night. Just a dusting here. Not sure if we will get a delay or not. Waiting....
I'm going to be lazy and post the notes I typed up regarding the procedure and appointment yesterday. Tumor and lymph nodes significantly decreased and was a very good response to chemo. The kidney was enlarged because of the blockage the tumor caused not allowing it to drain. This procedure will tell them exactly where the tumor is and how obstructive (how big) it is. He will try to get into the kidney but may not be able to. He will check the bladder and see if he needs to biopsy it as well. This will help figure out the best option. He has metastatic ureteral cancer which spread to the lymph nodes. Surgery may not be the cure. Dr. needs to decide if doing surgery will help and extend his life by removing everything. There is no evidence that removing everything will do that. This is not a textbook case. In fact, it is very rare, not even on the list of cancers that get reported on, only 1-2% of cases per year are of this type. He will find out where exactly the tumor is, the size and degree of obstruction. The procedure is a cystoscope, urethroscope and possibly a biopsy of the bladder. MRI looked great. Biopsy will take a week. Will present the case on 2/4/13 to a team of experts here at Hopkins. We will get a phone call after that day. After surgery will have painful urination, possible blood in urine. May leave the stent in to allow kidney to drain.
Those notes were from all that he said prior to the procedure. After the procedure this is what he had to add.
They did not biopsy the bladder, didn't see the need. Did take a sample of fluid from the bladder to test. The tumor is 3-4 cm in the mid uereter. Now we wait...and we are really hoping theyw ill do surgery. I think we were very disappointed at the possibility that they won't because that makes it sound like they wouldn't do anything. I guess Dr. MCCormack here in town would do more chemo. I think Dr. Bivalacqua is hesitant because of the lymph node involvement already and the possiblity of not getting it all, therefore not really helping.
I meant to say DanaMo: Your notes are like a doctor's - Well done!! Lynn♥ would be/IS proud of you for sure...hope all the questions wil be resolved with positive answers; Thank you for letting us know Prayers continue.... Two hour delays all around here also

. . . or The Exorcist, Judy.
So, maybe you can tuck your head under your wing, Judy.
no it would be stinky there LOL
I hear the wind picking up and more flakes now
Can tell it is colder outdoors. It gets cold downstairs and my bedroom gets too warm because the thermostat is down there. Need to shut off the heat ducts.

oops yep that is what I meant
Does it look like snow is accumulating in the nest now of just the light maybe
ok I guess I should step away from the computer it has a hold of me
I am sure it is cold enough that those flakes are not melting, Judy.
BELLE is up and sitting at 11
Well, she got up and moved around a bit.
wiggle back in cup
back up she is turning around and digging in cup and down again
snow looks like its going sideways
Settled right back down into the cup.
Does look that way, Judy.

Yep, Belle usually spends a few nights in the nest prior to laying her first egg.....
...but if there is one thing we should know by now is that nature will fool us!
No snow here, bright moon through some very thin high clouds.
SO, according to my research, the size of that tiny house isn't even the size of a 2 car garage.
Belle is getting powdered!
Want a big smile? Go back to Feb 5 blog posts as everyone was watching Belle!

Special Thoughts also for Jo and the four generations of Lennox Family with various medical things going on these days
Kathryn is just now warming up her car to go to work. The snow is very powdery. Easily came off the car.
Thinking that I will just get back under the covers.
Retirement is nice.
They say two inches in Fredericksburg. Hoda and others in the northland must think it's funny that schools are closed and people are going nuts.
Belle is awake.
Now she's tucked again.
Good freezing, snowy morning Dana, Margy, Shirley, and all my eagle friends! 2 hour delay here and still snowing lightly!
I see Belle in a snowy nest - looks like she's sitting! Hmmm! Ravenously hungry last night and now nest sitting - good signs! Just tucked her head!
Special prayers today for Jo - all day long - that your cancer is gone!
Also prayers for Dana's dad, Lori's dad, Christine, and all the needs in our blog family.
It looks like Kathryn will have quite a trip up I-95. Traffic looks to be a mess.
Prayers and every good thought for Jo today.
Nest is looking more and more snowy.

Dana, I'm sorry the news about your dad was not more promising. I pray that the biopsy results show that surgery is an option.
Still no news about Rebecca's grand entrance into the world?! That baby has a mind of her own, doesn't she??!!
Snow has just about stopped here but there is more in tomorrow's forecast. Snow candle will be lit at school today!!
