Madeline took first place in her ice skating competition - posted a photo on Facebook! She looked so beautiful as she was skating that I watched her routine through tears!! I am such a sap!! She skated to Taylor Swift's song, "Crazier." I was blown away - couldn't have been any prouder if she was my own grandchild!
Jo, I am so sorry to hear that Christine is in so much pain - I am continuing to send prayers and positive energy her way.

I am so lucky and loved. My grandparents have been so worried about me that they are on their way down. They even have amother house guest coming coming, my dad:) he wanted to be able to help since I helped him so much. I am getting ready to have more labs done. I am currently in a step down unit. If my labs this evening are fine I should be second surgery in the morning.

Good evening. Haven't been on in a few days. Nice long weekend for us. Tomorrow is a professional day so no students.
Dad has his procedure on Wednesday, then we have an appointment on Feb. 1 to find out when the surgery is to remove all the cancerous parts. The procedure Wednesday will go into the kidney and take a biopsy.He already had this done once here in town, but the Hopkins doc wants to do it again and this time they may be able to get into the kidney since the tumor in the ureter has shrunk.

Went for a long run this morning on the C&O canal. Really was hoping to see some eagles along the river since I know there are others besides Shep and Belle. I did see a big nest, but not sure if it was an eagle nest.

Had a day off, so finally went down to Dunkirk to get my hair cut!
Traffic was great~~~holiday I guess.
Gonna be a freezer tomorrow, so dug out my flannel lined jeans that were in storage til now! They're in the dryer.
Sorry to hear Christine is suffering w/gallbladder pain I guess. They should knock her out until surgery time. That's what they did to me~~~I rocked back and forth for 4 hours in ER on a Wed. night & finally got checked in and awoke Thursday evening!And I had sceduled surgery for the next week!It wouldn't wait that long.
JudyE, I never had to go through Picasa to get pics on blog, but since they said I've used all my MBs, I'm paying a minimal monthly fee for space. So the pics I put on yesterday are not all real great, but thought I better I better use the room!

Good chilly Nashville morning. It is about 20 degrees with a single digit wind chill right now. BRRRRRRR I want to crawl back in my bed! LOL! Not going above freezing today!
Had a fantastic Yoga practice last night. Full class. This was the very first time I have seen this many people in the TLH class . I counted 17! Tom and I just did our poses on our matts and it was wonderful!
Olivia did well having 4 teeth extracted yesterday. They were all "baby"teeth, but they were not even loose and the adult teeth were right up under them ready to go. We are trying to make room so that they can settle in and maybe less orthodontic work is needed. ???? Hopefully?
She played it up though. FInally, just as I was getting ready to go to Yoga, I told her to knock it off or there would be no jamocha shake today. ;} evil momma.
We have her student lead winter conferences today> The school has the student show off their work, their successes and what they are working on right now instead of sitting with the teacher. SO that is @ 9:30.
Then I have a business lunch across town with my student that I am mentoring into teaching Reiki.
I promised to make dinner for our adopted buddy tonight. I think chili is on the menu. Easy stuff and we all love it.

LOLLY - Good to hear you're planning on being home for the remainder of the week. It's been a long month of back and forth helping them get settled in this move. Sometimes local moves are worse because you do it all yourself! Saving money does help, though!
Finally I can say Good Morning and really mean it with all my heart:
Gallbladder is coming out and baby Rebecca is also scheduled to come out.
Christine is set for 11:00 surgery and Rebecca is scheduled for 7:30 this morning to be evicted from her home of 9 months!
I'll keep everyone posted throughout the day. You must keep the faith at all times because God is good all the time. ♥

Good very cold morning here. Went out for a bit to get some eagle pictures about an hour after sunrise. Very little fishing now and far side of the Rock River has frozen. They are pretty much sitting in the trees conserving energy and fishing only when they NEED food. Remember winter eagle etiquette. Do not make a perched bird fly. They need to conserve that energy for the necessary flights for meals.

Linda, you are so right. Local moves are very rough. There are still several things to be moved but that is completely up to Joey. We have offered to pay to move one piano, the one we gave them. Not going to pay to move the piano Joey got from his mother. It is in poor condition and needs to be given away, he can not sell it. He should not have kept it. Still needs to move the treadmill, a pool table, and the contents of the garage. The house is empty and clean. Most of the boxes are emptied at the new house. Yesterday I unpacked all of Laurel's china and crystal, then she arranged her china cabinet.
Will not be going up there for a couple of weeks. That is good!!
Jacob has now made friends with two boys across the street. They are not exactly his age, but close, and he is way bigger but they are having fun together! Yea! Laurel has met both moms, about her age. So, things are progressing!
46 here and the sun is shining. Going to clean house today, grocery shop, and enjoy doing for our house. lol

Teacher professional day today. I was the presenter!! It went well, I was really nervous. I know that teachers are the worst students!~ I've been to workshops with these folks and we did a lot of playing on our phones. Thankfully everyone worked hard today and we got a lot accomplished.
Baltimore early tomorrow morning. Can't wait to get down there and get settled. I think worrying about making sure we have all the things we need is hardest on Mom and I. Of course, it's dad who will be in some pain in the end!

Any news about Christine's surgery or Rebecca's arrival time? A young lady at my school was in labor all day yesterday but her little boy wasn't born til today - AND she had to have a C-section after all that time! But baby and Mom are doing fine.
Dana, first egg was on Superbowl Sunday, just before kickoff time! I recall b/c I was online and watching and thought, "What a great day to lay an egg!"

Judy, I never use Internet Explorer at home - only Firefox. Sorry. Have to use IE at school but I'm not a fan.
I'm a Google Chrome user myself. IE with the SMART board though or stuff won't work. Here at home though it's all Chrome. I used to use Firefox but I found it to run slow. Everyone likes something different

Christine called me - Disappointing news is that No update other then the gallbladder is still there - they ran into a small problem and had to drain some fluids So tomorrow may see it gone - Nothing is easy anymore! good evening all, its been an interesting day!
so, i went into olivia's room this morning, with intentions of hurrying her up.....she was being a slow poke.....and i saw that instead of putting her clean laundry away, she had stuffed it in the bottom of her closet in a pile. to say i was livid is an understatement (not the first time, trust me)...and she says to me "oh, i hung them all up, i guess they fell off of the hangers".
i suppose i have defective hangers???????
and the grandkids were in on action too....trying to get out of going to school by feigning fevers....and when they were not running fevers, my granddaughter wanted to know if it is possible to have a temp TOO LOW to go to school....
sheesh what a day!
my meeting @ 11 went well.
from there i went straight to chelsea's and held the baby for a very long time. i was missing her.
i missed the other two, but they were in school. so i wrote them a note and left them each a couple of bucks....

Janet, holding a baby is such good therapy! Two of my coworkers have new babies and I love holding them! I miss babies! However, I do wish you'd get some hangers that are not defective....
I'm freezing. The heat here is NOT on due to the fact that Adam tries to heat the house from a woodstove in a room that no one uses on the main floor, which is close enough to the thermostat (which, by the way is rarely ever set above 61) to keep the heat from coming on. At least he keeps it at 61 now. In their other house, he actually had the nerve to put NOTES on the thermostats instructing Tracey (yes, true story) not to set it above 58.
Potential for snow on Friday, no one seems to be in agreement yet for sure of track, timing and amount, but something worth keeping an eye on.

So today did not go exactly as planned. I still have gallbladder. They finally took me in around 12:00. They took me straight to the operating room. I was in the operating room less than an hour when I was brought back to recovery. Aparently from the first surgery they did on Friday they punctured something when the put the catheter in. So I now have a drain tube draining the fluid. They actually thought that was the problem on Saturday and suggested a ct but the surgeon who proformed the surgery Friday said it wasn't nessecary. They drained 4 huge tubes in the first hour. I had to go have a a ct scan this evening and I have to go for another type of scan in the morning at 7:30. They may have to preform the same procedure they did Friday. If that goes well they may send me home and then schedule me for my gallbladder to come out in like a week. Continue to keep me in your prayers.
oh my, JO, for dear Christine....
I know she will pull through all this flying colors...and it is a challenge that her Faith will bring her through....
