Well...dad isn't sleeping. He is afraid to lie down. He is really panicked that he will not be able to breathe. I have never seen my dad this way. Man, it is so hard. I breaks my heart. I sure hope that this passes soon.
The puppies are sure making me feel better though. That and my husband has booked a flight for me to join him in Florida at the end of February!!! Yipee! And the boss okay'd it! Three days off school, plus the weekend in a hotel that is beautiful with pools etc...Can't wait. Now if I could just lose this weight by then!

Just return from UMMC visiting with Michael.
He was up being walked through the hallways. He even made me go
with him and his nurse - said mom needed the exercise too. His head is
hurting but soon it will stop - seemed that the walking helped. Before we left they came in to take off all the wires that had been monitoring him
He still has his drain tube on and not that much fluid/blood is coming out.
He is moving 1 floor up but still in ICU but less restricted. His spirits
were high and we had a good many laughs during our visit. His head is completely wrapped in white gauze like a turban! Tomorrow that wrapping comes off and the dr will check it out. Date for release depends on the drainage from the surgery.

That is exactly what I told him to do!!! He was almost to the point of tears. Poor guy.
As you say Lolly, the attitude of medical caregivers is a make or break. Truly, thought I was hallucinating. Turns out, my cardiologist is not even there. Well, howdy do da day! No one told me. So, now have a new one who was recommended by my eye doctor and my cardiovascular doctors. Will meet her in May. Got a hug when I left.

Dana, Jo is correct. A recliner might be the solution. Regardless, some time in the sun with Monty will be well-deserved.
Ah, Miracle Michael. So happy you had a visit with him Jo. Hoping for a very quick return to his Mom and Dad.
Tired and have asked the Sandperson to make rounds as usual. Especially asked that he check in on Hoda as she seems to have been absent today.

oh my stars! JUDYE: am so glad angie is okay. she will likely be sore for a few days...epson salt baths, ice packs and she may need to check with a chiro. i am so glad that jordyn was at school...just terrible it had to happen to anyone!
distracted driving is dangerous driving, no matter if the distraction is changing the radio, answering the phone, or grabbing your food off the floor. yikes.

Went to Chelsea for 4 hours after a Dr. appt. Things are hot and heavy there. Then tonight, had to answer emails to a couple ladies at Park. Seems we have a bad apple who is telling boss we're not doing any work!!!!And I stayed an extra 1/2 hour TU wading thru stuff!

I had a reasonably good day. Lots of meetings and lots of snow.
Walked up a hill as I was trying to get to a meeting and was it icy!!! I could not believe that the older women went down it after the meeting. I had a hard time with my poles and they were leaning on each other...I have not yet heard of broken bones.
Food bank here is out of food so there was a big drive today to restock the shelves. Many people at the health food store buying things just for that purpose. Not good to be out of food in the middle of January...cold winter months are not fun when hungry...
The soup kitchen continues to serve one hot meal a day and they had a line up for this past week...
Hoepfully we can keep the shelves restocked through out the winter months...corporate donations are now being solicited...
Very good yoga class and I drove back in the snow but they are busy cleaning and sanding the roads so it was all good.

Nest is empty and the picture continues to be clear...moon illumination is .69% according to the app on my iphone!!! The new cam will do nicely then when we have eggs and eagles in the nest over night.
Find myself yawning. Think I will start getting ready for sleep.

Oh, did forget...Laurel called just a little while ago. She sounded down. When she came home from school she opened the garage door. It had not been opened for a couple of days as she has not unpacked more boxes..that are stored in the garage. Well, the garage had flooded, the bottom boxes collapsed and boxes tumbled. This included china and crystal. So far she has found two things broken but has not gone through all the boxes. She has been moving heavy boxes and her back has spasmed. Feel so sorry for her. We will work hard Saturday to move boxes and unpack.
Well, Jack beat me to going to the shower. Drat! lol

So sorry for all of yesterday's bad news on here...crazy.
Prayers for JO, Angie, Michael, DANA's Dad, SANDI's Mom, KAY, GLO's MIL, THELMA's BIL, Ann-Marie (Jim's Sister), and Jack and GENE.
My Dad's surgery for the rectal cancer is a week from today. I will be there, and stay through the following week. Thanks for your prayers. I LOVE US!
Good morning eagle buds. It has been the longest week!
I talked to Nicole last night and she just cried and cried. Bless her heart. This thing with Isaac throwing up could have disastrous effects and she is having a hard time not going there. If he has to have another surgery for this, it could mean a tube for quite a while. But this could be a bug and nothing more. Time will tell. She is there by herself and I hate that. I wish I was able to go up there with her but that is just not possible. I think they are struggling with financial concerns. It is so expensive for her in Boston and the money we raised is just about gone I think. She won't let us do another fundraiser because she doesn't want to worry Chuck by letting him know they are struggling financially. I think he is about to lose his job. The people he works for have given him a hard time about missing work since Isaac was born. He has done his best to work as much as he can but there are just times he has had to be with Nicole and Isaac through this process. Pray for them to find some resolution to all of this. Hopefully Nicole's mom will be able to go to Boston this weekend. That is the goal anyway.
None of this is for facebook, of course, just wanted to let y'all know the need, so we can direct our prayers where they are needed.
So glad to hear Michael's news. Praying for Dana's dad, Jack, Judy's daughter, Mema Jo, Lori's dad, etc. Seems like there are lots of struggles right now. We will pray our way right through them though.
