Hello to all:) Just wanted to say thanks for all the birthday wishes! Hope everyone is doing ok!
47 days until Spring!

Lolly said...

Good morning! Wow, another new thrad. Love it! Thanks, Steve, and thanks Jo for the call over. Stick a feather in your cap!!!

Cold but sunny here. Had to turn the sound down on the computer, so windy at the nest.

We got five pics on our pond cam last night. Jack's elbow as he grilled our pork chops last night. the streamers of a wind sock set off another, another of a different angle when Jack took the cam down, one is all white, and the 5th of the pond but we do not see anything that triggered it. Hopefully we will do better. lol

And I meant thread not thrad. I have Texas accent but it is not that bad!!!!

Good afternoon my eagle budlets!

Lolly said...

Wahooooo! Great news on Samantha! Now we just need to get Christine on the right road to wellness.

I just had an interesting time. First I took a huge box of books, tapes, and kindergarten activities to the preschool at our church. THEN I took a school shirt to the school where I used to teach. They are in a new building and I have not entered an elementary since I walked out 13 years ago. Got a huge hug from the secretary..I taught her daughter, got a huge hug from the principal, we taught together and are friends, then they gave me a pass and said go visit. I visited with three teachers. Really surprised them all and had a great time. They also made me VERY HAPPY that I am retired. The school is awesome except for kinder. They are in much smaller rooms than I had. The other teachers are in larger rooms than they had before.
It was interesting!

Now back to more closet cleaning! On a roll!

Twirling away and does not have enough sense to know when to stop! I am dizzy. I will shut it down.

DanaMo said...

Good news from Jo too! What a great day!

I find out of habit I eat the same way I used to when I was at work!!! It has been ten years now and I change for short periods and then return to the old pattern. Tonight I will go to a course called "optimal eating" discusses food and health and quantities and how to combine foods to get the benefits. Sounds interesting to me. I look forward to it...

Happiness is "tuning" in to find there is a day of good, yea verily, wonderful news !

So happy you spent the night in your own recliner at home, JO. Wonderful family news, too.

DANA, so glad your dad's surgery is being scheduled. Out Damn Spot, indeed. Mega prayers are with you all !

LOLLY, loved reading about your delightful return to the school and pleased that you enjoy retirement the same way I do !

Tis' frightfully frigid here today, but it warmed my heart to have MEGAN's reminder that Spring is only 47 days away !

HODA, you find the most interesting things to do ! Wish I had the energy you possess, but age seems to have me zapped ! Let us know what you learn about "optimal eating", please !

Thanks to JUDY for all the Belle and Shep reports and pics ! We love your wonderful contributions to this blog !

MARGY, the flour pile ? I'm missing something here ! Need to read back.

Love and prayers for all ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Good afternoon all! Sounds like this last day of January is turning out to be a good news day!

First the word from Jo that Samantha is absolutely fine and has no thyroid problems.

And second that Dana and her mom and dad got the news that surgery is an option! Dana, I know the thought of surgery is scary but the doctors wouldn't be recommending it if they didn't feel they could get all the cancer, so that is wonderful news!

Lots of people posting about the twirling arrow on the live cam today. The live feed must be affected by all the wind at the nest - I had to mute the sound b/c it was so windy and loud!

I'm hoping for word from LORI...bothers me that she hasn't been on here since she left in such a big hurry! Praying for good news for her Dad
Seems Dana's Dad has been put on the right path~

Had GG to the dentist today...needs 1 root canal and 2 teeth pulled, in order to have a replacement bridge of 11 teeth. She can only eat soft foods for fear of the bridge pulling out.
Have to take her to Hagerstown for the root canal and another dental surgeon to pull her teeth. Dr. Queen will make her bridge

Good Night dear friends, sweet dreams and prayers for all♥

Hoda said...

Thanks LYNNE. Sorry to hear they are unlisted.

Thinking of LORI and her DAD all day. No I have not heard from her LOLLY.

Glad PAULA'S back is on the mend.

Good class. Excellent meal. wonderful pointers. Don't eat anything that has a long shelf life. White Vinegar is not a food product it is a product of the pulp and paper industry. If it does not go moldy and if it keeps a long time in the fridge you do not want it either. 4 days maximum in the fridge! No to GMO and no to soy products...Organic peanut butter only!!! They spray the cotton fields heavily for three years and on the fourth they plant peanuts and say they did not spray!!!
It has to say CERTIFIED ORGANIC and not only claim to be organic...lots of the stuff sold as organic is really not organic maybe 50 to 70 percent content is organic the rest is God knows what!!!If they have to wear a mask to spray it you do not want to eat it!!!
Excellent menus she provided and nutritional content she gave us booklets.
I think you would have enjoyed learning from it KAY

Hoda, I hope you find Andy. It has been a long time since we heard from her. I was thinking her husband's name is Ken. Saw that Lynne remembered that, too.

Hope that GG's dental work goes well, Wanda.

DanaMo said...

Good morning or not....2 hour delay ruins teacher appreciation day for sure. Now we go til 3:00. Hate when that happens. Our principal wouldn't cancel it. Says we only have one snow day left bc of Sandy, when technically Sandy should not count against us because it was a state of emergency. Oh do disappointed.

Mom wants more information on the surgery. I feel like she is going to drive me nuts. We wanted the surgery, now she wants to know if it is the right thing. I guess I'm all about trusting the experts. Without the surgery we have a greater risk of losing my dad (in my eyes). With the surgery we don't get any guarantees but it seems like doing something is better than doing nothing. Maybe I'm the one who is wrong. I just trust that the doctor would do what is best.

Dana, sorry to hear that the 2-hour delay messes up your early end to Catholic Schools Week! The Amstel will still be there at 3pm!

No snow here yet but it's in the forecast. Snow or no snow, I am staying at school today until I get ALL of my IEP updates completed (don't have report card grades to worry about but IEPs need to be updated each marking period). Kids have a 3-day weekend. I just want a 2-day one with no schoolwork to do!

Special prayers for Lori's dad today, and for Lori and her mom!

Make it a great day!

Dana, your mom may just need more time to absorb and process the news. I'm sure the idea of a major surgery at your dad's age is scary for her and that may be the first thing she thinks about. Once she has a little time to think about the risks of the surgery versus the ramifications of not having surgery, she may feel differently. Tough spot for you to be in, trying to be supportive of both of them.

TGIF/RED FRIDAY...happy day to all.

HODA: thanks. I like the pix as well :)

SNOW DAY IN NASHVILLE! We have a crust of snow out there. It was 42 when I went to bed @ 9:45 last night, got up @ 5 and it is 18, clear skies and crunchy snow.....only 1/2 inch maybe? pretty though.

Yesterday was a busy day. It was nice coming home, in the 40's and sunny. I took the dogs out to the back yard.....throwing the ball for Scout. It was fun.

No school here today. First snow day of the season. :) Livvy will be happy.

Nothing much else going on. Busy weekend ahead; groceries, Reiki share....who knows from there....but in the 40's so not as cold. I slept better last night, so I feel human this morning.....

DANAMO: keeping you and your family close in my heart....(((HUGS))))

Everyone have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIght, love, healing, and hugs to all.
