I just "called it macaroni," Sharon, the feather ☺

JudyEddy said...

thanks I thinks its so pretty was on facebook and I just love the colors of nature

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

That is definitely an indigo bunting. I used to get them before I moved to Bedford but haven't seen any since I moved back home.

JudyEddy said...

JUDIE Audrey ran up stairs to get a better look at the deer from the upstairs window YA THINK LOL

JudyEddy said...

I think we need to start giving a turtle shell for the person who jumps the split

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Mema Jo gets all turtle shells, aka eagle helmets. :)

magpie said...

What? They didn't follow you and T to Bluefield Sharon ??

Harrrumph to that !

CarolAnne there are some kinds of diseases such as the white nose syndrome with bats here in WV that can be devasatating to the bat population...
so I guess that could be part of the decontamination routine

CarolAnne said...

Could an occasional candy bar be awarded instead of turtle shell? Lol

CarolAnne said...

Yep MAGPIE that's what the email was about - the white nose fungus was found 30 miles from the WI border.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

CarolAnne - I love you!

A new thread - thanks Steve! Glad to be rid of the old one!!

YAY, Kelsey won her doubles match! That means both girls are still in the tournament - LIFE IS GOOD!! Kelsey's Mom will be arriving this evening from FL so we add one more to the mix!

Need to read these 30 commnets - BRB!

Sandi said...

I am so sunburned! Going to take a shower, wash my hair, and then take a nap later, my eagle friends!

Lolly said...

Yea! So glad both "your" girls will be in the tournament. I am sure it is fun having them there at your home.

Sandi said...

Woohoo!!! Just saw my female crested flycatcher go into the nest box right outside my sunroom window! Last year was the first year the pair nested in it (they raised and fledged 2 babies) and they came back! Musta liked the accommodations!! I've changed my avatar to Mr. Flycatcher from last summer. They were so fun to watch! Lolly, it really has been fun having the girls here! Now, for that nap!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,

Dropping in to say hello, and let you know that I've been lurking for a while. VERY happy that all is peaceful here today! Hope we hear how Kay is doing (better, I pray!). Judie, had a good laugh about your amazing inflatable kitties! Those two are so entertaining!

I'm still pretty sore--beginning to wonder if it's arthritis flaring up. Can't take NSAIDs, but have been taking acetaminophen. Not as bad as it was, so that's a good thing.

Have lots of housework to do today, so better get busy. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
Later, alligators... I ♥ us!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Talked to Andrew again this afternoon. He was getting ready to take a shower and go for dinner. Won't hear from them again until Sunday! :(

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Eaglet in and immediately plotzed.

Lolly said...

Your very lucky, Sharon, to talk with him on his honeymoon. LOL

LYNNE, I have a question for you. Where are you?

Mema Jo said...

Good beautiful afternoon,

Hunter is busy getting ready to visit his friend Ryan. I have a partially dug hole in the backyard. Will need to work on it some more.

I see a juvie in the nest calling for food.

Judie said...

Hi all,

Thank you for the fresh thread, Steve.

Thank you Looly for the Kay update. Much appreciated.

JudyE knows my Audrey. No doubt she did race upstairs to get a better, and safer, look at Bambette.

Sandi, congratulations to both your girls. Hope they continue to be rewarded for all their hard work.

Hoda, thank you for the update on Delphia. What a relief for her and for us. So thankful.

Hi Andy. Hope you feel painless soon. Arthritis is fun NOT!

Jo, I too am jealous. Darth is out to a meeting so my dinner will be water. Do you plan to have turtle soup?

Shar, so glad that Andrew is in touch. What a wonderful honeymoon for him and Kelsey.

stronghunter said...

Oh, thank goodness. Thanks for bringing the news from Deplina over, Hoda.

Hoda said...

Juvie arrives to nest from nine branch now both of them are in the nest...they sound hungry to me...

Judie said...

Shirley, take it easy. See if Will can help you out. Don't need any pulled muscles and such. Save your strength to teach Hunter to cook.lol

stronghunter said...

2 juvies in the nest. The plot thickens. Things are set up for a food fight.

JudyEddy said...

LOOK at them feathers flow Home from work good evening eagle buds now to get to reading

stronghunter said...

Okay, I just heard that Lucy barfed, nearly got George. Hunter is amused. Kathryn is hollering for cleaning supplies. I am waiting this one out. Hunter was sent for the vacuum, which he say is hiding in the laundry room.

It would be hard to get bored around here. Sometimes goring is good, but I can deal with it. After all, I raised four children.

paula eagleholic said...

Missy and Bro in the nest, Missy in the middle. Bro was looking up into the tree and calling out, finally gave up, and he is plotzed at the 10 spot

stronghunter said...

I will most likely wait for Will. Just need to secure the trees in a safe place where they can wait for awhile.

JudyEddy said...

Eagle cries I wonder if they are hungry I wonder if they have been taught to fend for themselves ??????????

JudyEddy said...

I don't think I have heard them this loud before

Evening Everybody!SAW a fawn today at Chelsea!!! It was at the edge of the tall grass in front, nibbling, then laid down and probably spent the day. Sometimes you could see ears!
I think I saw Ms. Hoppy at front end of field when I was leaving. If that's her fawn, hope they get together. They probably always do, we just don't see it too often.

Funny animal story~~~few days ago, younger cat, Scooter, was laying on the windowsill shelf in dining room window. The squirrel popped up there outside! Scooter was batting her paw all over the windowsill trying to touch that squirrel! Wish I had known that was going to happen!

I shall return, don't know when~~~have a lot of reading to do! ☺

stronghunter said...

More cries from the eagle children.

stronghunter said...

Funny cat story, Loretta.

JudyEddy said...

Remember the ceramic eagles that I put on top of the eagle tree I made I had two beads left over and put on my threader earrings I had made at the jewelers up the street they had dolphins on and he clipped them off and gold soldered the gold eagles on it(they were post earinging that he clipped the post off). I want to either just get plain treaders with gold balls on it of maybe some kind of ear ring holder Although I am partial to threaders I have two people at work that want them so I looked online and found some more If you would like just the eagle beads I will send you some NO Charge and you can create your own buy buying threaders or a earring hoop Let me know I have been wearing mine since I made the tree and they do stand up to hair washing and all
I have a picture on the blog with the above paragraph also If you want two or four beads let me know I am ordering the beads

Eagle Beads I put on threader do you want some of the beads when I order Let me know either comment on the picture of here either way I sent a email to JO with the pictures and she suggested I put it out there I Love Mine

Have read the good news about Kay and the wonderful news about Delphia!!! Thanks to those who shared it!

Temps have dropped into the 70s and very breezy outside. I would love to open the windows and turn off the air BUT Denny hasn't pressure washed the house yet so I haven't put the screens in the windows. Also, with a house full of people I don't know, who may or may not like to sleep with the windows open, it's probably best to keep the air turned on. Still, what great outdoors weather!!

magpie said...

Congrats to Sandi's houseguests

and good, Sharon, you had some talk time with Andrew ♥

magpie said...

Unless anyone steers me in another direction, I'm sending a copy of the Memorial program from Lynn's services to Geula at the address in our Christmas card list...which by the way, was greatly enhanced by Delphia a few years back, and upgraded and updated by Lynn this year! And grannyblt copied it out and mailed it to me...so I am cooking with grease with Momsters addresses these days

Kay & Delphia♥♥

I wanted to tell those of you who were wondering about the little fight at the Soup Kitchen 2 weeks ago. One of our guests (male) was putting the 'make' on a female guest. He wanted her to go 'home' with him and she kept telling him NO! Come to find out, he is homeless and lives in the woods! Tee Hee~ Gene told him he could come back but if he smelled of alcohol, we wouldn't let him in:)
The lady came back last evening and thanked Gene for coming to her rescue:)

Have turned on the porch light, and both security systems are enabled. Prayers have been said for everyone, and every creature. Special healing prayers for those who need them! Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you!

Butt is whooped! Cleaned house, and finally got my winter clothes put away, and the summer ones off the spare bed and into the drawers, and got 3 weeks of laundry put away!

Oh, did I tell you Mr Studmuffin and his doggie are coming to the beach this weekend? He is going to help me get my boat in the water!

Paula, if you come across another Mr. Studmuffin, could you send him to Bluefield please?

Hoda, Charlie was a firefighter back in the day, first responder as well, but due to his disability, he was let go from the air national guard and he lost his job... now that he has his ss disability, he cannot work especially in that field, well he could as long as he made under the amount they allow.

HI Shirley, I was just trying to catch up with WWF! So nice and quiet here in the morning. :)

Was that last night Hunter spent the night with a friend and going to the pool today?

stronghunter said...

Yes, he is there now.

I am about to call it a night. Have a good day. I will probably be sleeping in.

Hi, Gang,
Pulling a Margy here--can't get to sleep, so up to watch the news.
The earthquake we had tonight happened at 8:17 Pacific time, and was a 4.1, centered about 2 miles north of Yorba Linda. It was a quick, sudden jolt lasting only a few seconds. There have been 4 aftershocks since then, none larger than 2.4. I haven't felt any of those. Okay, back to bed now to try to get some sleep. Shirley, I'm with you--I'm gonna try to sleep in, too!

Hope all is getting a good nights sleep.

Up late to talk with my Cousin Rosie's daughter.

The person I was suppose to have dinner with got caught up in doing other things and did not get finished in time. So I had a very nice dinner before church with another friend. Things do work out even when you don't expect them too.
