Did I tell you all that daughter finished semester carrying 4 subjects and working 10 hrs a day got a 4.0 is all subjects. I say WAY TO GO LADY !!!!!! I'm a proud Mother :)

OH....I forgot to mention! Yesterday morning I was stalking a bird on the ground that I didn't recognize. Turns out it was a Brown Thrasher! My first ever! Always look for them because it seems like such a good place for them here, but this was a lifer for me!

Lynne2, I have had brown thrashers here. I love them! They don't come to the feeders but the ones I have had like to wander the yard close to the edge of the road.
Shar, I know I've seen them on your bird lists from time to time. Megan's too. He was gorgeous, and back out at the edge of the yard again this evening!

LYNNE, I was glad to read that you have MONARCH EGGS...I still have not seen a monarch or swallowtails or any of those beautiful species. Just small ones, like painted ladies. My milkweed crop (7 plants) is very tall and healthy looking, just waiting on a monarch to stop by and leave a present!

I pass the mailbox everyday where I used to mail LYNN's cards, and it always makes me sad.

I'll leave for the beach when I get home from work - but want to
mow the yard first! My new grass is long enough to have it's first mowing so would like to get that done while we are not having extreme temps.
Still debating if I should take a computer to the beach, so don't know if I'll be on the blog or not.
Will likely take the ipad. Don't think I could stand being blogless.

Talked to our GD, Jay, tonight. Her car windshield was damaged by the crazy hailstorm in Dallas, and the windows on one side of her house are all cracked or broken. Hope her landlord moves quickly to fix them! Just glad that SHE wasn't hurt by the hail.
Well, I'm kind of tired tonight (although I've felt better today--not as achey), so going to call it a day. Have said prayers for everyone, and for every creature.

Tennis at 8, then I need to clean the bedroom and bathroom that Lena has been using, wash the sheets, and get them back on the bed for Alexis and her husband who will be showing up this afternoon. Alexis is the #1 seed in the tournament so she could make it to the finals on Sunday. Kelsey has a very tough doubles match this afternoon.
Sandy, just got a room in Rehoboth for the weekend. Needed a break. That's a good idea, to look up the forecast! Almost forgot.

Went to bed praying for a little boy to be found. Woke up to read that he is safely home. I am so very very glad. Watching for news about Kay. I surely hope she is indeed improving and soon moving on over to rehab.
6 more days and I will briefly hold my grand child in my arms once more. Adrenalin is already kicking in. I will see them at the airport on what is her 7th Birthday. I will bring supper a gift for her and help them get their rental car ready to head south in the state to other relatives for 3 days, THEN it will be my turn to KEEP them for a few days. We will have the Birthday Party for her and lots of other celebrating then. I am so EXCITED!!

Good morning! Been on fb reading. This is what I discovered.....
A magnitude 3.1 earthquake shook parts of North Texas overnight. The epicenter was near the town of Briaroaks, which is just 4 miles from Burleson. It happened at 2:33am. Dispatch did get some calls from residents, but no damage or injuries have been reported.
We live in Briaroaks...slept right through it! Golly Gee Whiz!!!

Hi Jo, Yes, she made it there yesterday afternoon! She was exhausted and in pain but seemed to feel better when I returned at about 8. I will take a laptop over to her today to see if she can get back online with all of her friends!

CA, so happy your nephew is safe. When my son was 4 he decided he wanted to go to his grandmother's house. A lady found him walking down a very busy big city street . He wouldn't tell her where he lived, he just wanted to go to Grandmoms. She drove him as he directed right to Grandmoms house about 4 miles from our house. My MIL was so mad at me for not answering the phone to tell me he was there.---I was out searching for him.
Earthquakes are moving east so it seems. Glad you slept through it Lolly.
