Thanks, Steve for the new thread - think we pretty much wore the old one out! Thanks, PAULA for the call over!So Paula, it's DAY 35 ... are you sticking with Tuesday for a first hatch?
Just looking at last years calender...whether we had intrusion or not, looks like we only had one hatch last year...the second egg...our Paddy O'Joy hatched at 37 days..
Generally, the first egg takes 37-38 days...although we have never had both eggs hatch. When we have had 2 eggs, we have only ever had 1 hatch.
DanaMo, if you go to the blog on your phone, you should be on the mobile version. When you go into the thread, there should be an option at the bottom of the thread to subscribe by email.
Thanks for the reminder, PAULA! I need to refill my feeders. You said grackle, as in 1? My guess is you'll have 50 more soon and then you'll have to refill your feeders too! BRB!
Good Morning - my feet just hit the floor not so long ago... Thanks Steve for the fresh thread - Better late then never! Thanks for all the comments.. I do need to go over on old thread and read...
Nothing planned today - Sandi the pictures from yesterday are fantastic So happy for you and Denny to have gone for the day.
DMO, yes, you have to sign up to get comments sent to your email inbox every time there's a new thread. JUDY said that Angie had to post something (like SHARON will post my name) and then, after you sign in, you can see the box that needs to be checked. Hope that helps.
Good morning all. Had a good time at the eagle festival yesterday. I was a little nervous, I haven't given any photography lectures before but I think it went well. I was great meeting Sandi! Wish you all could have been there
Hey Bob! Your presentation was terrific!! Dennis has been an amateur photographer for many years but, even so, he said he learned a LOT from you, like focusing on the eye of your subject and shooting at eye level. His photos from yesterday were much improved, thanks to some of your suggestions! A link to the pics is posted on my blog. I even gave you a shout out on FB!
Thanks, Bob! The same photos on Dennis's computer look even better b/c he has more sophisticated editing software than I do. I was anxious to get the pics posted on my blog so I used the basic editing software that came with my laptop. We plan to go back to Blackwater again in May when the osprey are active.
BIG, BIG, THANK YOU TO SHARON!!! Hopefully it will work again tomorrow. It was so nice to "talk" on the phone and hear your voice. Putting a voice to a name is great. Even better to put a face to a name. That will come in April!
Kathryn has returned from the river house and is watching a movie with all kinds of shooting and killing. Hunter is still with his dad. They were supposed to go Sasquatch hunting this weekend.
School work - DONE √ Laundry - DONE √ Dusting the upstairs DONE √
Off to Lowes to return the 2 vanity faucets I "settled for" on Friday b/c I didn't want to have to make a trip to Home Depot, but I have now decided not to "settle for."
Good Morning! I've been springing ahead all the clocks! Sure is getting late! LOL I guess today is beginning of watch the nest day in case of a hatch. I haven't been on long enough to see the eggs. Looks like a lovely, sunny day there, except for the wind. Took pics of my flowers with a little help from their friends!--the cats! Gotta download camera. Holler if you see an egg w/speck!
Howdy y'all!☺ Got up too late this morning to get on before church. Have not even finished reading the paper.
We have now had over 2 inches of rain this weekend. How about that!!!!
Sweet "awwww" story from church. This morning someone made a comment about a flower bed, looking at the flowers they found a dog, curled up and shivering. They brought him in, dried him off, wrapped him up in a blanket and carefully fed him a little. You can count his ribs!! Poor little thing. James, the pastors son, babysat with him during church. They are going to adopt him. Yea!!!!!
I just found out today that Gianni's 2nd birthday party is on April 21st...hope she has it around 2pm that day...so I could come in the morning for the visit, and then come back that night for dinner.
Curious, Jo. Can you see them on my timeline? Both probably can only be shared with mutual friends of James and Laurel. I have saved them and going to repost.
I am off to run errands and do the quilt signing thing for CFUW and car pooling since it is a drive out of town...five miles but still out of town...BBL
BelleBelle backed up off the eggs, and was calling out...flew off to the left...calling...soundsded like she was chasing something away...thne some slience...then more calls...
HEARD BELLE CALLING. SAW HER POOF SAW THE CAMERA SHAKE WHILE SHE WAS STILL CALLING..... QUIET FOR A WHILE.....MT NEST HEARD BELLE CALLING AGAIN FROM AFAR STILL MT NEST..... CAMERA IS SHAKING A BIT....
I looked at the eggs full screen. Really do not see anything. Look at the right end of the egg on the left. We could imagine we can see "something" there. LOL
Thanks, Lori. Luke is adorable. Laurel is wild over him!
Poor little church dog. After church, James, teenage son of pastor, was holding church dog in a blanket and church dog was resting his head on his shoulder. He is going to have a good home. Told Pastor Laura we are going to have to have picture updates. Poor little thing with his ribs showing.
back again....WOO HOO!! Saw my first BUTTERFLIES today, two Cabbage Whites, on in the yard, the other crossed the road in front of me on my way home from the store!
oh geez Lori....not sure! I only know the Cabbage Whites are first because they lay eggs on cabbage plants, a cold crop, and cabbage would be in the ground by now!
Belle in - didn't see Shep leave but the eggs were uncovered for a short time and, when I magnified the picture, it looked like the right side of one egg had a dark spot. Belle is now eggsitting facing 10.

Have a wonderful day! ☼
Shep is incubating, facing 3
Today is day 35 for our first egg...day 32 for he second egg
Thank you Steve for the fresh thread. Everyone will be so excited. Now for those bobbleheads. Have a nice day.
Thanks, Steve for the new thread - think we pretty much wore the old one out! Thanks, PAULA for the call over!So Paula, it's DAY 35 ... are you sticking with Tuesday for a first hatch?
Ah, I need to put the sandperson away or we will all spend the day in deep sleep dreaming of bobbleheads.
As Paula says, Shep is on duty. The sunshine is lovely. Off for coffee and newspaper.
Thanks, Paula, for your New thread announcement. Good morning everyone.
Is this the day to start the waiting room?
Been watching off and on for days. I missed the intrusion but am glad it was nothing serious. Another year like last will kill watching for me.
Breakfast is calling and Max is here so I'll be in lurk mode most of the day.
Have a good day everyone.
Lynn, have a good day and eat when you can. love ya ♥♥♥
Changed my avatar to one of the Blackwater Eagles!
LYNN, hoping you can enjoy this sunny Sunday!! ♥

The finches are out in full force this morning...one feeder is already half empty!

shep off the back of the nest
Shep just poofed from 10!
Shep back in from about 4!
Did he bring that stick?
He was arranging a big stick....now back on the eggs, facing noon
Moving sticks. Now moving to the eggs. Wiggle, wiggle down, facing 12. Shep still on duty.
PAULA, I don't think he brought the stick in.
Thanks, Sandi...I was getting another cup of coffee, heard him come back...
Looks like Shep is doing his funky wing thing again.
Watching the birds at my feeders this morning...the grackle is back with pretty colors now...attacking the suet...think I saw a cowbird, too.
Yes he is, isn't he.
Sandi, did they have the activities at BW at the temporary visitor center?
Thanks for the reminder, PAULA! I need to refill my feeders. You said grackle, as in 1? My guess is you'll have 50 more soon and then you'll have to refill your feeders too! BRB!
No, it was just one...more finches here than grackles...tho the finches disappeared when he came around
PAULA, everything was held at the visitor center right after the pay station on Wildlife Drive. Is that the temporary one?
OK, time to get off my duff, get dressed and head outside...lots to do...I need to take advantage of this beautiful day....bbl
Yes, I think so...you passed the one they are working on to get to that one.
Good Morning - my feet just hit the floor not so long ago...
Thanks Steve for the fresh thread - Better late then never!

So happy for you and Denny to have gone for the day.
When you view the messed up BWO cam -
looks like 2 eagles on the platform......
My phone is an hour slow!!
Oops - the cam timed out and the image disappeared.........
My body is an hour slow lol
Back from Mass.
aha, rebooted my phone, now it's on time!
Going to try sign out on my phone and sign back in if I can.
Me too, Jo!
Do you have to sign up for every new thread?
I can't seem to get to a sign in on my phone. Man so frustrating!!
DMO, yes, you have to sign up to get comments sent to your email inbox every time there's a new thread. JUDY said that Angie had to post something (like SHARON will post my name) and then, after you sign in, you can see the box that needs to be checked. Hope that helps.
out scoopimg the yard...had to come in for something
Danamo did you ever get the other half of your $20
Sandi
Good Morning Eagle Friends (:
Your phones will reset the right time when someone calls you.
I can't get it! I guess I will have to give up!
trying on the iPad but still not getting the email notification box

Thanks, SHARON! DANAMO, looks like you have it figured out! =)
Good Morning Bob. Yes we heard about the wonderful photography lecture you gave at Blackwater. They are lucky to have had you there.
DanaMO test
Thanks Sandi! Enjoyed Dennis' pics. I didn't get a chance to take any myself yesterday. May (or may not) head back over there today.
Oops. IT was great meeting Sandi!
Have you got it DanaMo?
Thanks, Bob! The same photos on Dennis's computer look even better b/c he has more sophisticated editing software than I do. We came, we saw, we conquered.
Is that a little bird on the rails at 12, just to the left of the tree trunk? Something is moving, Shep's not bothered at all.
Must just be a little piece of something - maybe a feather - blowing in the wind. can't imagine a bird that would stay that long so close to an eagle!
LOL ONE FIN UP SHEP
I think Shep is bored today...up again at the launch pad
Wonder if he hears something?
Back to the eggs...seems to dig, now back at the launch pad
Increased to 200% don't see any pips on this side of the eggs.
Now back to the eggs...little nudge and he wiggles down facing 10
Don't they start looking underneath a lot once the pipping start?
Catch you all later. I think a need a Panda nap!
Good Morning Eagle Pals...
Thinking of Lynn ♥
Loving all the new avatars...
Paula, Sandi, Diann, Judie et al...
Bob Quinn! too funny, you are definitely one of us: Typos, and Panda Naps
xoxo
I keep wondering, is the Dad Eagle ever " in attendance " for the Birthing... ??
seems to me it is always the Mom Eagle...
someone here would know
xo (( All-Day Hugs ♥ ))
MARGY, help a newbie out here - what IS a panda nap?
My cell phone is on time, but I got a text message earlier, hadn't checked it before that...
Computer time of course is correct
Well, Sandi...not sure I can give you a straight answer on that...
we have in the past watched some endearing Panda cams ...and they nap a lot..
I believe Sharon and/or Sissy might have coined that phrase..
it's kind of like "flugg" (fluff) and deets (deer) - it just kind of catches on with us and we go with it
We plagiarize a lot on here ! LOL
This Magpie avatar is the first one Paula sent me...goes "way back" to May 2008 when I officially joined up...
I love, and thanks again Paula
Love IT that would be...
Headed out, full slate today, not working, have to milk my "Pretend Retired Person" status to the hilt
Best Wishes for a Good Day, Every One !
xoxo ☺ ♥
I'm not sure what a Panda nap is, but I like the sound of it. I think I will go give it a try!
Good girl DanaMo you catch on fast lol
Just stopping by for a minute. Need to settle in a resume grading. Only 99 more to go.
Perhaps I will be overtaken by a Panda nap -- can't remember the who or when but just a short nap -- outside in the sunshine (:
Shep does do a strange thing with his right wing. Maybe his method of air circulation.
Hi Bob Quinn. Seems you had a banner day yesterday and met Sandi and Dennis as a bonus. Congratulations on the successful presentation.
BBL
Just heard a sound and, when I brought the cam up, Shep had poofed!
Hi everybody!
I see two eggs.
Who's that?
That must be Belle that just landed and now wiggling down.
Belle arrives and is settling on the eggs. Doing some digging and now wiggling down! Facing 9ish.
I recall that the Monday following the Superbowl, Belle spent a lot of time off the first egg. So, if both hatch, there may not be 2 days in between.
Good afternoon,
Kathryn has returned from the river house and is watching a movie with all kinds of shooting and killing. Hunter is still with his dad. They were supposed to go Sasquatch hunting this weekend.
In my opinion, the only thing worse than not finding a Sasquatch would be to find one!!
Comments have doubled since I was last here. Going to CVS
My outing for the day! WHoo Hoo
Looking over today's posts, I see that Tuesday is the target day for a hatch.
I am able to watch the nest at work but no blog.
I watched an animated movie with friends called "How to Tame Your Dragon." Rated PG and I laughed all the way through it.
It has a good lesson to it.
Hello there Beagle! Good to have you back here and catch up with you!
I am running out but will be back
soon..........
Hi MemaJo. Have fun at the CVS. :)
School work - DONE √
Laundry - DONE √
Dusting the upstairs DONE √
Off to Lowes to return the 2 vanity faucets I "settled for" on Friday b/c I didn't want to have to make a trip to Home Depot, but I have now decided not to "settle for."
BBL! Enjoy the sunshine!
Belle is up and punching fluff. Rearranging sticks and what have you.
Now she is circling around the eggs.
Now the egg rolls and a wiggle down. She is facing 6 o'clock.
BEagle, I LOVED How to Tame Your Dragon!!!!
afternoon all!
Kathryn got a sunburn this weekend. Be careful out there.
She said the ospreys have returned to the river house.
Good Morning! I've been springing ahead all the clocks! Sure is getting late! LOL
I guess today is beginning of watch the nest day in case of a hatch. I haven't been on long enough to see the eggs. Looks like a lovely, sunny day there, except for the wind.

Hi Lynne2! Hiccup was the best!
Finally read back and want to say belated "HI" to Bob. How great he was a speaker at BW.He has a lot of knowledge.
Got stuff to do~~~ BBL ☺
I wonder will the eagles ever notice the ball of fluff there at about 7 stuck on twigs.
The eagles may be like me. I can walk across my nest and totally forget what I was going after. :D
BBL to check on things.
♥
Back from CVS and gosh it is almost
Panda Nap time! I feel like I have
already wasted some of my day having
gotten up so late.......♥
No napping here today, or ever! Just makes me more tired!
Time for some breakfast, LOL
Belle is up and circling again and now wiggling down.
Yes. This DST will cause a sort of jet lag for most of the week.
Got my doors open today
Eagle looks hot, beak open
Hi BEagle!
Howdy y'all!☺ Got up too late this morning to get on before church. Have not even finished reading the paper.

I shared his picture on fb. Also, yesterday I shared Laurel's picture of Luke.
Margy, I think it's the female on the nest most times when the eggs hatch
I am so hopeful that Bell/Shep have eaglet(s) hatch and that they fledge
after we get a glimpse of them in
April!
Yes, Jo. Me, too. That would make April a very good time to get together.
Lolly, the story of the flower bed doggie is touching and especially that he will be adopted. ♥
I just found out today that Gianni's 2nd birthday party is on April 21st...hope she has it around 2pm that day...so I could come in the morning for the visit, and then come back that night for dinner.
She can't do it on the Sunday, because John works...
Nick is in for a panda nap, lol
Paula, could you kidnap Gianni for the day - We all love birthday parties....
Lolly, I can't see the pics on FB
Hey Paula!
Lolly....aw-w-w-w.
BBL.
LOL Jo, I'd get shot! Not on the party day! Any other day would be fine, I'm sure!
Richmond eggs should hatch this week also.
Back outside for some work....
Curious, Jo. Can you see them on my timeline? Both probably can only be shared with mutual friends of James and Laurel. I have saved them and going to repost.
I meant, Paula....sorry Jo.
Home for lunch and find a new fresh tread gonna go read
no bobblehead yet I see
Hey I told my boss I would be calling in because of the eggs hatching she told me to say that I had Ovaries issues LOL funny boss
Okay, Paula. I saved both pictures and reposted them on fb.
Good afternoon all.
PAULA very interesting reminder that when we have had two eggs only one has hatched in the past...Thanks.
Thinking of LYNN♥
Rainy here this morning...
I will go look at LOLLY'S pictures...
Ok I guess I should head back to work being I can't remember the exact time I punched out got caught up on the blog
HEY BOB good to hear from you you big WIG NOW LOL just kidding
It hot hot out doesn't feel line March at all feels like July
I am off to run errands and do the quilt signing thing for CFUW and car pooling since it is a drive out of town...five miles but still out of town...BBL
ENJOY the day everyone.
Belle called out and is alert and looking around.
OK, I am done in the yard for today!
Belle facing 6
This panda feels soooooo good after a nice nap.
Cute dogos, Lolly. The church dog looks like the Taco Bell dog.
Luke is adorable.
More Belle calls. Hope it is Shep flying around.
Belle looking up and calling out
Bell is up....Poof. Still fussing!
Wish I could zoom in on the eggs to see if anything was happening.
Eggs alone but still hear Belle fussing away.
Must not be any threat around or those eggs wouldn't be unprotected. Just regular chatter.
BelleBelle backed up off the eggs, and was calling out...flew off to the left...calling...soundsded like she was chasing something away...thne some slience...then more calls...
Good Sunday Afternoon....
This doesn't look good!
HEARD BELLE CALLING.
SAW HER POOF
SAW THE CAMERA SHAKE WHILE SHE WAS STILL CALLING.....
QUIET FOR A WHILE.....MT NEST
HEARD BELLE CALLING AGAIN FROM AFAR
STILL MT NEST.....
CAMERA IS SHAKING A BIT....
Quiet once again.....
But the nest is still empty....
Hmmm
Don't care for an MT nest even if the sun is shinning........
I looked at the eggs full screen. Really do not see anything. Look at the right end of the egg on the left. We could imagine we can see "something" there. LOL
Eggs still alone and all is quiet.
Eagle in the tree on the left.
Full screen - eggs look in tact
SAW THE FLAPPING OF THE EAGLE WINGS ON THE BRANCH AT ABOUT 10 POSITION....
Sorry for the typos, computer haning up...can't see what I'm typing...eggs still uncovered at 4:35
YEAH, THE OTHER RIGHT!! lol
LOL I think the Left. Saw the wings!
roflmbo
Home from Lowes and Home Depot - what's with the MT nest?? Yikes - don't like eggs uncovered!
I think I'll save my @$$ and delete that comment.
I am dyslexic!!!
And who knows if I spelled that "right" or not!
I sure dislike that sick empty gut
feeling you get when you don't know what is going on down at the Palace
Eagle returns
I think she chased something away. Now she is in the tree standing guard!
Belle or Shep?
R E L I E F ♥
OK, someone is covering the eggs now - Shep?
Is it Shep?
Shep!! On the eggs!
The shadow is in just the perfect place to confuse us.
When the head is in the sun, it looks like Belle, but the right wing thingy is a Shep thing.....
Look at him...he is so funny. He hikes that right wing up.
They probably wanted to give us a little excitement this afternoon....
NOT Funny!!!!
Yes Linda! I don't appreciate their sense of humor either.....
Shep's right wing....... There could be
something wrong with it but it doesn't
stop him from flying.. Maybe a bent
feather!!!
rrf....compliments of Annie.
She just walked over the keyboard.
I have been sitting here reading. Any sound from the eagles makes me jump! Nope, not funny!
Back to my kindle.
Good afternoon all!
Glad I miss that excitement, or worry. Just happy Shep is covering those lovely eggberts, as LYNN calls them. Thinking of her today.
Lolly, love the dog pics! Bless them for saving that fragile little thing! And, Luke is too cute!
Paula, I am also DONE working in the yard today, but it feels good doesn't, it?!
Hi LINDA!!!
Ahhhh, poor little Church Dog. I'm sure he will have an excellent home!
lORI, yard looks good, body said stop!
computer haning up, gotta shut down, tried just clisng ie but still slow...back in a few minutes.
Thanks for the coverage ladies!
There will be no trouble keeping the eggs warm. Supposed to be 69 at the nest tomorrow and in the 70's all week! YEEEHA!
Shep was just up and nudging the eggs with his feet - not exactly an egg roll! Now back down facing 8ish.
Taking a break for dinner
BBL
back again....WOO HOO!! Saw my first BUTTERFLIES today, two Cabbage Whites, on in the yard, the other crossed the road in front of me on my way home from the store!
Sunrise and sunset times for today
Sunrise:7:24 AM
Sunset:7:10 PM
Heading for the shower....going to friends house for shrimp on the bbq
Lynn, I saw a small white butterfly today, too.
Cool Paula! The Cabbage Whites are the first to emerge in the spring, although I don't remember them coming out THIS early!
LYNNE, what's the next butterfly we'll see? Didn't see any white ones today.
I was surprised to see a butterfly out today!
Shep has the wing thing going again....left one this time
split in 8 posts!
oh geez Lori....not sure! I only know the Cabbage Whites are first because they lay eggs on cabbage plants, a cold crop, and cabbage would be in the ground by now!
BBL THIS EVENING
I want eaglets! I'm so impatient. We've waited long enough!!!
Shep is talking - hard to call it "calling out" b/c he makes such a squeaky little noise. I think I hear Belle in the attic.
DANAMO, you're just like your kinders! =) Seriously, I was hoping for a weekend hatch as well so I could watch!!
Is it my imagination, or is there a hole in the egg on the right?
Belle in - didn't see Shep leave but the eggs were uncovered for a short time and, when I magnified the picture, it looked like the right side of one egg had a dark spot. Belle is now eggsitting facing 10.
Oh I don't know, I didn't see the eggs I was outside throwing the ball for the dogs!
Shep took off and eggs were uncovered for three minutes before Belle came down. She is facing ten now.
Yes I am like my kinders. My attention span matches theirs as well!
Belle didn't look at the eggs before she settled on them as if there was anything amiss, so it was probably just my wishful thinking!
