Thanks for the welcome. I live in NW OH - wish I were closer to the nest We see very few eagles in this area. I feel lucky to see them today - I have checked several times this week and today is my first nest visit!

Back at UMMC to keep Tori company with her dad. Tori is twilighted and not under as strong sedation as she has been. Tori was moving around a little and opening her eyes, I asked if she was ok and she nodded, I asked again and she nodded again, I also asked if he wanted to have the tv on and she shook her head.
Tori is resting while we sit in waiting room so we don't over stim her.

Just bought a cute belated birthday card for my 10 year old nephew, whose b'day is tomorrow but I'm just sending the card and the money today. The front cover has a chimpanzee with a serious face wearing a hard hat and a tool belt and it says, "Sorry your birthday got past me, but I've really been busting my butt lately." Inside shows the chimp with a big grin on its face and says, "Guess that explains the CRACK in it! Anyway, hope your day was happy!" As a former 4th grade teacher, that's humor that a 10-year old boy will definitely appreciate!! =) Of course, he'll appreciate the money even more!

On Friday IT SNOWED IN THE DESERT IN EGYPT!!! It also snowed in ALexandria, a northern city on the Mediterranean Sea!!!
There is only 10 degree difference between her temperatures today and my temperatures today!!!
We laughed a lot over that...we were both weraing watm sweaters today as we talked and we both had our tea cups going...
Gas stations are only opened for an hour a day in most places in Cairo and the cost of living is skyrocketing out beyond belief...she told me about the Centre of Heritage and CUltural Building being burnt...documents and books from 1600 were housed there!!! MAJOR DAMAGE...it makes me very upset.
I need to go get another cup of tea...

Hoda, so glad you had such a nice chat with Samia but how very sad about the historical documents. I think even when such items are preserved electronically there is something that just seems to be missing. Not the same as seeing the real item.
Hoda, been getting that message today too, as have others. I have to go back to the conservation tab, then click on the eagle cam to get the live feed back.
That's a real loss on those documents.

PAULA and JUDIE, The documents were not digitallY preserved!!! This is my sadness...they are now drying them in the sun on the roof of the museum!!!
Hoda sorry to hear about the historical documents. I have worked with old wells, deeds, births, newspaper articles and etc. What a terrible tragedy. Hopefully they can get them dry and maybe someone will start doing them electronically. With all that is happening over there. I don't think that will take place for a long while.

Its been a great day, kind of cool, misty....low 40's perfect day for people to come and get massage! and my day was fully booked! love days like that, keep busy, time goes by.
yes, i would love to give each of you a massage, but alas and alak, lol, my magical powers of transport are offline,lol. and since star trek hasn't come and put one of those instant transporters in my home, i suppose you'll just have to find a therapist in your areas.....
been signing the youngest up for a week of summer camp. these is a great one nearlyby where everything is OUTSIDE! horseback riding, swimmming in a creek, zip line, farm animals, plus arts/crafts..its expensive though, about $300 a week. consequently, she goes for one week. don't feel too badly for her though, we'll be gonig on vacation for 10 days in june....i think she will have a great summer.
working on expanding my reiki class. i've been teaching a very small consolidated basic reiki class. i've been asked to make it a 30 hour elective course for a local massage school. so now that tax numbers are done, i have literally started to write this class. its flowing pretty well at this point. i did some interesting reading today on reiki drumming. someday i want to go to arizona to a reiki class/retreat that they ahve there....one of the classes is reiki drumming.
anyway, looks like we are looking for eggs?????? that would be exciting!!!!

I heard about the health warning in regards the processed meats and cancer. I heard you say so much how you enjoy bacon...are you going to ask your doctor? It is what I talk to my doctor about a lot of the times I have a sweet tooth and do not seem to be able to stop eating sweets yet I am always border line diabetic...she would like to have my count lowered for sweets yet it does not seem to be happening...this alone should make me stop...so I understand about you and the bacon and sausage foods, all in moderation I suppose.
Tonight Yoga at 5:30 to 7:00 PM so I just had my dinner so I would have two hours to ease the stomach... a light dinner but it hit the spot...

After he died in 1967 we watched more TV maybe three shows a week!!!LOL and now I do not watch any...do you think parental influence at play in my sixties???LOL

Kay, we walked again today looking out the window, but no birds! Dern! We had one little Chickadee visit the feeder. I do have a new feeder and the birds seem to love it. The feed seems to disappear from it faster than the old one.
I am beginning to wonder if Jewel is in labor. She had been very quiet for a long time now. Sleeping soundly.

Tomorrow is my sister, Sharon's
72nd birthday, and Wednesday is Michael's 43rd birthday. Do I really have a son that age? No way, Jose!! He was born on a Saturday, at 11:06 A.M. We were visiting Sharon on her birthday. I figured back and I think we were probably sitting at her kitchen table drinking coffee and talking when he was born. LOL Twelve days later he was placed into my arms, dressed in the blue outfit we had selected and wrapped in a white blanket I had knitted. My baby boy! So proud of him!
OK shutting down...off to yoga and I will be back later to check in...ENJOY the evening...

Dr Baker on the other hand, who was sick last Wed and Thurs, and fine after that, even up til last night when I talked to her, spent the day throwing up again. UGH!

Saw that, Margy. BRIGGS is great----a no-kill private shelter in Charles Town. They also manage the local Spay Today program.
Sorry about the wiring issue. Maybe it's time to trade it in.....????? I'm sure that replacing a wiring harness isn't cheap. :(

Margy, I read a post on my Facebook from PIGS that the little St. Bernard pup went to her forever home today! Melissa (the gal who runs PIGS) was sad to see Gabby go but happy to know that someone will spoil her rotten!
Lynn, Alcatraz was different but not so much so that I won't watch next week. I gave up on Lost as well - it got way too weird for me!

do like the actors - just don't care for the plots.
Sandi, I watched Lost for a long time, but I eventually gave up on it too. It seemed like they ran out of story long before they ended it. It was fascinating for awhile.

An excellent yoga class. There were many people there, 18 I counted...Skiers and boarders the thirty and even forty something crowd. I did not do a hand stand but did everything else...my arms are not strong enough to support my weight and the balance would be a different issue altogether...LOL. I enjoyed my class very much...
I see Jewel still does not have her cubs...
LYNN has the visiting dog been a regular is he looking for food? Could he be neglected?

Watched Betty White's birthday and her Off Their Rockers follow-up. Many fond memories and a bunch of chuckles.
The sandperson is creeping down the hallway and will be anxious to begin his rounds from East to West coast.
The night light is on for anyone who may need to arise in the dark, head back the hallway, up the stairs, down the stairs, or wanders in later from the West coast. Restful sleep for all.

Hoda, no these strange dogs look hale and hearty.....3 strangers in 3 days is just a little disconcerting. We have a leash law in the county...dogs are not supposed to be off-leash and running free.

PT wore me out yesterday--didn't get home til' dinner time since I still had a CVS stop to make after the session. Could barely walk when it was over, but ate dinner, dozed and woke up feeling fine. The inconsistancy in pain and mobiltiy is puzzling me. Watched the Betty White Birthday and then to bed. So, wide awake early.

LYNN, I agree, Jewel must have been going through false labor. Reading the daily comments shows that Dr. Rogers and his team are as mystified as we are.
Twill be 50 degrees or more here today ! In January ? Weird ! I will be meeting a friend for lunch--Italian restaurant who's specialty is Fettucini Alfredo and I won't be able to resist that decadent dish. Will eat half and bring half home--at least that's my plan !
