Talked to Linda....she was on a break from the bedside. Things are looking pretty good for her Mom. She is off the vent, and will be transferred to another hospital in a day or two for pulmonary rehab and physical therapy. Prayers have worked miracles again, but her doctors did not think she would survive coming off the vent. Linda has gotten a bad cold.....but says the FL weather is so perfect today that she is enjoying that. She hopes to try to come home, at least for a little while, come the weekend. She sent us an email on Momster mail!!

Good morning everybody. I had to go to the hematology/oncology doc this morning to get my blood checked. My hemoglobin was 14 which is absolutely wonderful! Go back in 3 months.

WOW----just had a phone call from insurance company. They are sending me frozen meals for my recovery period.........can't believe it. Part of my plan's coverage----don't recall ever seeing that before!!! Go Humana!!!

Exactly, Judy......one that I DO know of is that I can get free OTC stuff (Ibuprofen, vitamins, Tylenol, etc.) for every preventative action I take: flu shot, mammogram, etc.
I saw that on facebook I dislike the circus to be honest because of the animals being pinned up I will not go to one

Well, need to do a few things, like run to the Post Office and mail a box and some letters, and go to the store for some descaler for my coffeemaker. Sure hope I can find some! Our water is SO hard the poor machine is getting pretty clogged up. Only other option is to order the stuff online, but hate to pay shipping!
Manufacturer says NOT to use anything but a citrus-based, powder descaling agent. Hmmmm. They say vinegar would damage the works.
Oh--need to drag out our artificial Christmas tree and see whether it would fit in front of the patio window. If so, must figure out whether I can manage to remove the lights that don't work so I can buy some new ones and put them on instead. The tree will probably fit, because it's a "slim" one. Would be time-consuming to remove the lights, but might be worth the effort. We'll see.

WV Dana, prayers continue for you and for your Mom! Hope you get to feeling less painful today, too. Just a thought--I have a pair of knit gloves that only have 1/2 the fingers. Got them at Petco, of all places, for 99 cents last winter. They are great--help keep your hands and fingers warm, but enable you to do things like type on the computer.
They might help your Mom if the cold weather makes her hands hurt more. They may be available other places, too, like Walmart or Target.

Always wondered when I went to a circus. Why animals were allowed to be used like that and no one did anything. Nice report.

Got a phone call from Hunter's school nurse awhile ago. He has a stomach ache. I went to the school and picked him up. Now I have a very bored child on my hands. Mom has decreed no X-Box and I get to enforce the decree. Oh my.

LYNN I am glad you took something for the pain you were feeling. I am also very pleased that your insurance company is covering for frozen meals and maybe even some house cleaning and errands(???) when you are taking your treatment.
From what I remember Carolyn saying a few years ago, Andy, it was nearly impossible to get the pre-lit lights off the tree. Good luck......

Yes, Jo, I have received a Christmas card with letter from a early childhood friend. We both came from the same little town, got our first bicycles the same Christmas and went to school together from first grade to graduation. Never close friends in high school, but forever friends.
Lights are on the tree! Now putting my millions of Santa ornaments on the tree. Also, still working on the yard lights.

I can not tell you all how much I LOVE YOU wonderfu; people. I worried so much because I heard from people this morning that there is a controversy brewing about the song and the copy right and I thought OH MY GOD, I SENT IT TO MY MOMSTERS AND DADSTERS and I did not want any of us to be hasseled. I am glad you are not being hasseled...There will be a meeting next Wednesday and discussing the song and I am not sure I want to go. I liked the simplicity and the lack of controversy.Like it being a good thing to share. With controversy it loses the spirit of the song. FORGIVENESS and GOD IS LOVE...this is what so much touched my heart and wanted to share with you...I did enjoy it and am glad you all are enjoying it too.

Hit the play/pause button and just wait it wsited awhile then started playing. It just sat there did nothing for awhile like I said then it started playing only hit it once and wait.

Just saw that Billy Graham has been admitted to a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, for "evaluation and treatment of his lungs." He's 93 now. Love that man!

We had a lot of new folks to join us for dinner and gave away a lot of groceries, including hams and chickens.
I tried to get one couple to sign up for the free food and they told me they had no way of cooking it, they are living in a tent. They took anything that was fuzzy from the Closet to use as blankets and some plastic bags to lay on the ground to serve as a base for their bed. I felt so bad that we had no blankets and I had left the sleeping bag at home that Lori had sent to me:( I will see that they get it next Soup Kitchen night.
I think I will ask our pastor to ask the congregation for donation of any old blankets they may have. I truly fear for these folks. I feel like I need to do more than I am. I would like to give them a warm place to sleep, at least. Who knows what I might come up with. I do know our pastor would have no parts of using the church for sleeping over:(

Good Evening Eagle Buds! Went shopping after work & got 2 cutre little soft mousies at pet store for Sherry's cat. They have Santa hats. Well, woudn;t you know, before I put them away, Ms. Binky got them out of the bag & brought them to Fubby so he could throw & play "Go Fetch"! She w3anted to tear at them, so they're on top the fridge. I think they can still be presents w/ a Tested by Binky" label!
Been checking some other catalogs online, but couldn't find what I wanted~~~had a salad, but got my steak broiling.

Hi Eagle Buds ! Just about to close the book on November 2011--one more thankfulness avatar. Malcolm does not usually stand on Julie's furniture, but cooperated with posing for this pic. He and I had a great day today. Seth and he were here til' about 5:30. Then it was off to CVS and Kroger for me followed by long talk with Eileen as we caught up on T'Day in MI and NJ. So, it took me a long time to get here and to catch up. Skimmed and hope I didn't miss too much.

Need to ask for prayer for Carolyn's BFF's Dad, Sonny. Went to ER with chest pain...they not only found severely clogged arteries, but a large lung mass. Her Mom/his wife passed away just about 6 yrs.ago from a chronic illness (while Charlie was in ICU on life support....). It was a very rough period for us all......hate to think that April will have to deal with more sadness.
DID YOU HEAR.....??? that US AIr is planning on raising airfare from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia one-way from $116 to over $600 in the near future? Skyway robbery....insane. Hope the gov't puts a clamp on that fast. Good grief---it's a commuter flight.

Occupy Nelson's eviction notice was due today. They were given 48 hours as of Monday afternoon...When I came back at 4:00PM my time they were still there. I wonder what happened? We have two police departments here. I hope it was a peaceful eviction.If the organsors decide to go to court, the city says it will be costly and they will have to raise taxes...no one is going to be happy about that.
Hoda, I have not taken pictures yet of our Christmas decorations. We are finished with the outside and I have finished inside, too! Now just need to straighten and clean. Going to do a little shopping tomorrow. I am so behind on my shopping! Yikes!
We go to my sisters in a little over a week. My brother will be there too and I have not even thought of what I am going to do for them for Christmas. I am in big trouble! Help!!!!!!!!

I am trying, Lynn. I keep telling myself...things will get done. I have the next few days to think and shop (if neccessary!) I do like on line shopping! Laurel's birthday is this weekend. Taking a meal and gifts Sunday to Denton. Party next week is Thursday. Then we go to my sisters near Houston the following weekend. We will be there a few days.
