Hi there, MARGY ! HAGD ! We'll see you later. The avatar is one of the "avatars in yellow" LORI sent my way. Looks like a bouquet with the two colors, huh ?

Lori O. said...

MARGY. I think I would benefit greatly doing Yoga with HODA! When HODA says she's going to yoga, we do yoga too, where ever we are. You're so good for us HODA!

MARGY, I've enjoyed getting to know your family as you've told us about your nephews recently and James' mother.

KAY, I hope you have a fabulous time at the lake today. What a fun sounding family gathering. You're a lucky lady that Julie is such a good daughter. And, she's blessed to have you. Are you taking a camera so we can see pictures? OH, have them take a pic of you on your computer so we can see your blogging environment. Love JUDYE's avatar.

Lori O. said...

KAY, It's a funky lantana I found at a local nursery. Butterflies love it!

Lori O. said...

That reminds me: LYNNE and other Butterfly enthusiasts - Lynne mentioned she saw a Monarch laying eggs... my question? How can you tell it's laying eggs, and what do the eggs look like?

T-Bird said...

Good morning eagle momsters and dadsters.

Kay said...

LORI n' MARGY, the lake outing is tomorrow, it's still a bit soggy out today. Julie takes after her mama and isn't a camera buff. Hugh takes pics, but then I never see them again--somehow is Iphone can't send them in a way I can receive them. We are just not a good family for picture taking. Eileen takes em' and then can't figure out how to send them. Maybe when all the kids are here later in the month I can get a grandchild to help us out.

Kay said...

T☼p O' the M☼rning to you Thelma ! Have you caught up on the laundry yet ?

T-Bird said...

Not yet Kay.

T-Bird said...

Not as hot here this morning, how about you all?

T-Bird said...

Sharon has gone to the doctor to have a "growth" removed from her mouth. She will not be put to sleep. I will let you know how it went when it is over.

Kay said...

Grrr. I just called the Columbus Dispatch circulation dept. Second day in a row without a newspaper. They'll credit me for yesterday and send one out within a couple of hours this morning. Regular carrier must be on vacation.

I lost the still cam and 97.1, another big grrrrr.

Wow, the newspaper just landed on the porch--somebody must have been lurking at one of the eateries or parking lots on the main street, just waiting for such calls.

Okay, I'm bowing out and giving up on Belle and Truder for this morning.

Hope you all have a super Wednesday ! Love ya !

Kay said...

THELMA, praying for SHARON and hoping the procedure is not painful during or after !

I just stepped out for the newspaper, in all my morning glory, that is still in p.j.'s---did throw a robe on. The air is absolutely delicious and it's almost cool out there !

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Gang!

Up early today to try to get some transcription done. Will be in LM most of the day--hafta stay on task.

My foot was yelling at me last night, so didn't post all that I would've liked--so will do it now:

Shirley, that's great that you got a message from one of your really nice students!

Hoda, thanks for posting the link to the son of the Chinook pilot. My heart just goes out to him! What a great kid, and he really looks like his Dad, doesn't he?

Golly, Wanda! What an amazing evening for the soup kitchen and the clothes closet! God bless you & Capt. Gene!

Lori, good to have you back here! I'm listening to WASH-FM as I'm posting, and I thoroughly enjoy your mix of music!

Well, got to get to work here. HAGD, everyone, and I'll be back later tonight. :o]

Linda said...

Good Morning Dearest Eagle Family!

Wanted to check in on the morning gang to once again say how much I appreciate all you love, support, prayers and that amazingly beautiful basket of flowers!

Will need to catch up, but prayers that all are doing well and healing on their fronts.

Judie said...

Good morning, everyone.

Loretta, it was the Gymkana group from UMD.

Shirley, seems Hunter is going to have a wonderful few days of adventures and you and Kathryn will have a few days respite. Safe travels to DC and you will enjoy Wicked -- a lot!

Hoda, how nice you could see the osprey. What a lovely accompaniment to rowing on the water.

Welcome home to Linda and Dennis and welcome home to Lynn.

Wouldn't it be fun if Jo's gkids and Shirley's gs met up at the 'skins game?

Wanda, so happy to know the Soup Kitchen/clothes Closet was such a success last night. Applause all around for you and Capt. Gene.

Kay, enjoy the day at Buckeye Lake. Should be nice weather.

Judie said...

JudyE, maybe get another opinion about Jordyn? Darth had thrush in July and his symptoms sound very similar.

Thelma, give a hug to Sharon for us. Hope the procedure is swift and painless.

Off for coffee and newspaper and morning news.

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning,

Hope your foot is better now, Andy.

Hope Sharon's procedure isn't too difficult.

Glad you got your Columbus Dispatch, Kay. I do remember reading that newspaper.

Kathryn and Hunter left early this morning. I don't know when Susan was supposed to pick Hunter up, but probably early.

Hello and what a beautiful morning it

getting Liesl this morning.
Judie you're getting in the School Mode with your early morning appearances. I
hope you have a good year and a great group of students.
Lorie I love my 97.1 - When hubby takes me anywhere I notice he has it on the car radio also.
Have fun today Kay! JudyE hope you get off early if you had to go in early.
Need to go back a page for last night's remarks.

About an hour ago, after reading my paper and starting on the puzzles, I began to get very sleepy. Just as I started for the bedroom the tree service showed up. They've been working ever since on the big Black Walnut tree which hovers over my place. That woke me up ! I'm elated ! It was in such bad shape and worried me with every big wind. I always like it when I can the condo dues going toward something so vital.

Nice to "see" you ANDY, LINDA, JIM, SHIRLEY and JUDIE ! I thought I'd see if LYNN had checked in, but am guessing she's been out to retrieve dear little Liesl !

Kay said...

Hello, JO ! You arrived while I was posting. Hope you've stopped wheezing and are comfortable now !!!!

stronghunter said...

It would be fun if Hunter could meet Jo's grandkids. Not sure, maybe they are great-grandkids, though.

All I can say is that Rus will probably be yelling a lot. He tends to yell at the television when he watches football. He is my loudest child.

Good Morning Eagle Friends and Lurkers.

Reading last nights comments.

Loretta I seen that act last
night on America's Got Talent.
It was something like Warm Springs
High School or something like that.
Good act!!!

Welcome home Linda and Dennis. Linda our arms will continue to be around you. With our prayers continuing for you as you take those tiny steps each day. ((((HUGS love your avatar of you
and Billy--keep the memeories going))))))).

Hedgie-Lynn so glad you are safely
home. I know you have to be tired.
Hope you rested well last night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAGGIE WOW
you are growing 5 years old

Shirley sounds like Hunter is in for some fun and good times. You won't know what to do with all that silence in the house.

Hoda thanks for the link and posting it.
I am sure that was neat being that
close to the opsrey for you.

Wanda I am reading your comment from last night about the plane from Florida.
Praying I will read on down and find our Lori to be ok.

Great Soup Kitchen attendance. Glad people gave items that could be used.

Mema Jo said...

Hi Kay - yes, I can actually go out
on the deck and inhale!

Hoda - they have yoga for youngsters down in Shepherdstown and some places
are starting Yoga for Seniors! I need

Shirley - I don't have any idea where the kids seats are - I'll try to find out. Tell Russ to keep his eyes on those cheerleaders and he possibly will see Patrick lol

JudyE thanks for posting about the

a text like that. Sounds like her
begging isn't going to stop those
kids. I pray they aren't in Colorado!!
I pray that they hurt no one else
wherever they are.

Kay that is a pretty avatar. ( :

Decorah Eaglet just flew out of tree and you could see it fly over the white barn.
Then fly back to the tree limb beautiful flight.

Morning Thelma..yes please let us know
what they find out about the growth in
Sharon's mouth. Sharon I will be praying for you lady (((HUGS)))). I know you won't get the answer today.
Please keep us updated on the blog.

Prayers Andy for that foot and that the pain eases up for you. I know you have to use the computer to do your work. Can you somehow elevate the foot? Does that help? Praying the medicine soon eases the pain.

T-Bird said...

I may have misspoken when I said it was a growth. I believe that implies that it could be cancer. It isn't that at all. It was a very painful _____ that needed to be cut out. She'll be able to tell you the correct terminology. : ))

DANA WV, I'm guessing that red is your favorite color...looking at your avatar now, and the cardinal you have on sometimes. :)

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING...
JIM, I have that same problem!:) It's one of those "Get a Round-to-it" things:)

Sharon has had more than her share of doctors and hospitals this year!
Glad the 'thing' is out of her mouth, but, I would imagine she will not be able to eat steak for a while:) Love you Sharon♥...you too, Thelma♥

Costume Lady said...

Looking forward to details on the reunion of Lynn and Liesel.

LORI, a box of goodies for our Clothes Closet & Boutique (we now have a small area for that) would be soooo welcome! You just cannot believe how much our ladies LOVE personal items. It is a big luxery for them!

Our road is being paved for the very first time...40 years ago, it was tar & chipped, which was good, but now, we are getting a real asphalt road. I'm sure it will have it's draw backs, such as cars going 50 mph instead of 35 mph, but I could buy some stop-sticks and throw them out in the road or put a speed bump in front of our house:)

It is a beautiiful morning...81° and breezy, only going up to 86°. Will be a good evening for grilling, yes, that will require Capt. Gene to fix supper/dinner:)

Lori O. said...

JO & ANDY, so happy you like what you hear in the mornings. I might be unemployed if you didn't! lol

Just as soon as I get a new desk - the overly large old one has left the premises - I will take the "blogging at my computer avatar" picture. I really like yours JUDYE.

KAY, I know you're having a wonderful time at the lake - tomorrow! I almost put you there two days in a row. Very happy for you that the black walnut tree is leaving. They're toxic. You wouldn't want to grow anything edible there when the tree is gone. So when do you get to sleep today? My nap is coming very soon.

JO, I stopped at Giant on the way home - still haven't been to Wegmans - and got meat for the black vulture chicks and some CARDS! Time to invest in some stamps, I guess.

Oh, little LEISL is going to be so excited to have her Mommy home! You might want to put a piddle pad under her when she sees you LYNN!

ANDY, my Mom had gout when she was in her early 30's. Doctor told her it was unusual that it's normally a condition of elderly Jewish men! LOL I think they've learned a little in the 40 years since then.

WANDA, I'm so excited to start my Clothes Closet box - a big plastic tote bin! Is there anything in particular that is needed? Housewares? Clothing of a certain size range? School clothes for children?

SHIRLEY, Kathryn gets a Hunter break, and so do you. What will you do with your free time?

JUDIE, I'm thinking that a CSI/NCIS type investigator would have been a great career for you with all your medical stories/information and your violent crime expertise. Do you know Pat Brown, the profiler woman who lives locally in VA?

Off to take a nap and recoup from yesterdays lack of sleep. I love, love, love YOU ALL! God keep you safe and healthy. Prayers for SHARON's mouth ulcer/growth, ANDY's foot (?) and for LINDA who I know we all miss a lot.

THIS JUST IN FROM WILDLIFE CENTER VIRGINIA!

Subject: Fall Open Houses/Buddy Day at Wildlife Center !!!

Later this week the Wildlife Center will be announcing our Fall Open House schedule, and I wanted to give you an “early-bird” opportunity to reserve a spot!
This fall we’ll hold four Sunday open-houses – ·

August 28; · September 25; · October 2; and · October 16.

On each of these Sundays, we’ll be offering three tours at 12:30, 2:00, and 3:30 p.m. And we’ll offer one special Saturday “Buddy Day” Open House – on Saturday, September 10. Our focus that day will be Buddy, the Bald Eagle rescued from the Norfolk Botanical Garden nest back in 2008 and now a permanent resident of the Center. Our presentation and tour will include an up-close look at his new enclosure. For Buddy Day Saturday, our tours will be at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

As you probably know, we’re a wildlife emergency room and hospital, and we’re not usually open to the public. These seasonal open houses are rare opportunities when visitors may tour the Waynesboro facility, including our medical clinic [examination room, operating suite, etc.]. It’s also the chance to “meet” some of the Center’s education animals – not only Buddy but also Junior [a Golden Eagle], Gustavo and Misty [Barred Owls], Ruby [Red-tailed Hawk] … and more . [As these animals live in outdoor homes, these tours are offered weather permitting.]This is the chance for you, your friends, and family to get a special behind-the-scenes look at the Center. There is no charge for the tours, but reservations are required – and we generally fill up all the tours. We’ll be posting information about these tours on our website and on Facebook soon, so I encourage you to reserve your spot quickly.

You may reserve spots by calling the Center at 540.942.9453 [open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.] or by email at wildlife@wildlifecenter.org. We’ll take reservations for groups of up to five individuals; children should be accompanied by parents or guardians.
We encourage larger groups – schools, scout troops, etc. – to contact our Outreach Department to make alternate arrangements. Thanks so much for your special support of the Wildlife Center of Virginia.

We’re most grateful for your help.

Because parking at the Center is tight, we’ll be asking those who are able to park in our “auxiliary” lot – at our nearby Bear Oak education area. It’s a gentle and scenic half-mile trail from that lot to the Center – and allows you to explore part of the beautiful National Forest that surrounds the Center. Just follow the “Bear Oak” signs when you arrive at the Center.

Finally caught up on this thread!!
Too much stuff to remember!!
Lynne, SO dorry about Mitzi even tho' I don't know yet WAHT happened to her. RIP, dear kittie.

Andy....foods containing PURINES (included alcoholic beverages) are the no-no's when dealing with gout. And yes, some meds can cause it, so read possible side effects of everything you take! Don't worry about the colchicine---been around for ages: trusted for most! Yep, I was the first one to mention that it might be gout...and then Wanda!

Haven't seen yet when cam went down, and any info about repair/replacement....guess I'll see that on one of the old threads, huh?

Linda, so glad you are home and that we were able to help you from afar.

Lori, hope your trip was great!

JudyE....if Jordyn is on antibiotics for the strep, it is very possible that she has thrush!! Try getitng her to eat yogurt and see if it helps.

FL sibs have been arrested!!! Colorado state police got them! BTW---one of them is a girl.

Sure glad Shar got along okay with her oral surgery! I suspect that it was a clogged salivary gland. Know many who have had to one removed...so far, mine comes and goes---the more I chew, the more it goes away!!!!

Word of warning....DO NOT purchase 4G service for your ipads, etc.....do a google search and find out all the restrictions.....you are being sold a bill of goods if you fall for it. Check it out on Public Knowledge web site.

hedgie said...

The Liesl reunion was a let down....she wagged ger tail but then cuddled up to an attendant who was telling her goodbye! They even took her pic to share around!!!

We got home, she went potty and has mostly been sleeping. I picked her up to cuddle and she didn't give me any kisses.....:( Yep--I think she's mad at her momma.

hedgie said...

Great fun on tap for Hunter! Enjoy your respite, Shirley! Hope you and Kat enjoy Wicked. Think I'd rather go to the game!!

Loreeta----so you were a real gymnast???!!!! Cool!!!

Mema Jo said...

Speaking of CO - Robyn and Tori & friends are there in Denver - Pray for
the best possible help for Tori is

hedgie said...

Liesl has class tonight.....bet she is going to revolt when I put her in the truck! But know that she'll be happy when she sees her buds---Maxine the trainer, and Stoney, a westie/scotty mix of some kind who is in love with her!!!

hedgie said...

Wanda---hurray for a nice road!!!! You'll love it! They sure need to do the one leading from 9 to our development. Our roads are so nice, but that one is just awful, like yours was.

Mema Jo said...

Wanda - makes for easy snow removal

Mema Jo said...

Due to my inhalers I often get a thrush
mouth! I have a Nystatin swish and

I'm up to Monday afternoon! Just watched the slide show that JudyE posted.....lovely images, and the Streisand/manilow song is beautiful....don't think I've ever heard that one....wil check CD's...if not on any of them, will download that from iTunes for sure!

Judie said...

Hello all.

Lynn, yes, I think Liesl is a bit miffed. She'll be over it quickly. Cats used to always race to the door, check us out, turn and walk away with tails proudly waving in the air. Their version of the cold shoulder. Anything of interest down OBX?

Lori, do not know Ms. Brown but know of her. I'm happy in the classroom. Not big on getting physically into gory stuff. By-the-way, how's your Mom?

Jo, glad the air is better outside. Use caution, of course.

Thelma, thanks for the update on Sharon. Hope she heals quickly.

Glad the three fugitives were captured. Reserving opinion about the mom/parents.

Okay, back to work.

hedgie said...

Feel like I will never get through the Monday thread....geesh!

But see about Mitzi and Lynne's sad ordeal.....Lots of hugs and love to you Lynne.....so very awful for you both....surely hope that the vets can learn useful info from the necropsy, and that they you can bury her and find some peace. Love you, girl. Crying as I type...so forgive any goofd.

hedgie said...

Has anyone mentioned insects lately? Saw my first walking stick Sun. at the gas station, and now just saw a HUGE one on the deck....harbingers of fall????

hedgie said...

Forgot to tell you that Christie and Shannon made it home safely Sunday night from Cancun. Shannon got sick on Fri. and apparently was miserable for a couple of days, but okay now.

Mema Jo said...

Sharon - glad it is over and hope it

Good afternoon evryone, Today in yoga class I had big smile as I thought we were all doing yoga together!!! Good image LORI. Thanks.

JO Yoga helps with balance and reduction of swelling and lack of sleep, even though I have nights when I simply have had enough sleep with only three hours!!!It helps with digestion and felxibility and over all I feel stronger in my physical body with my yoga practices, not as much in terms of back and joint pain either...It works for me. I hope if you try it that it also works for you.

It is 79 degrees and promises to go up to 86 and we get rain this afternoon...It promises to be the same for the rest of the week an into the weekend.

I find myself shaking my head over the kids that were caught in Colorado...they seem to have mixed movie stories with reality...any way I am glad they are off the road without hurting others.

hedgie said...

Jo, saw a comment you made about the kids' travel route....Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. It is very cool as long as you don't mind being under water or on a very long bridge over it for a significant period of time!!! If you and Ed ever decide to drive down to see thekids, you should try it!

I'm baaaaack!

SO glad you have you back Lynn. Oh don't worry about Liesl. She is likely very tired, probably didn't get much good sleep on her first kennel experience from the confusion of what was happening.

Did you find anything at the beach?

I haven't seen any walking sticks yet, rarely do. Of course there was the one inside on my houseplant last summer, the baby!

Mitzi's death has finally hit me. Been boo hooing off and on a lot today. Dr Baker said the necropsy was very helpful to them so that makes me feel good. It was just so sudden....

Anxious to hear what's going on with Tori.

Gland Christy and Shannon are home safely but sorry to hear Shannon is under the weather. Hopefully will be back to better soon!

Jo, if you are interested in Yoga, they have some videos of "senior" type yoga to where you can use a sturdy chair for the exercises. Start slowly!

Lori asked earlier about how to tell if a Monarch is laying an egg....

Monarch laying eggs

JudyEddy said...

The sad part of her lung transplant is she was in the hospital for something minor and got Staph infection at the hospital which went in to her lungs and because of it she had to have it and I think the hospital felt guilty and they have picked up 100% of all her expenses I think that was great of them BBL gonna go do something ever if it wrong

JudyEddy said...

That was pretty cool one and a time poor butterfly especially when she lays 100 must take a while LOL

paula eagleholic said...

JudyE Thanks for the heads up on the cam. Glad to hear the sound is back!

JudyEddy said...

I was wondering if anyone had noticed it I read the entire day and didn't see it mentioned and when I cam home that was the first thing I did ♫ ♫ I'm so excited I just can't hide it ♫ ♫

JudyEddy said...

I was so hoping that they would have had to climb in the tree to fix it and cut the offending branch out but guess not we will have to live with it like it or not You don't fool with Mother Nature LOL

JudyEddy said...

Did I tell you that Carl has been staying home with Jordyn while she is sick and Angie has been working Carl has more vacation days than her He is such a good daddy and Angies inform me that we should stay in the next couple of days being she is sick Darn it she loves so to play outside and I think if she feels up to it she should get some fresh air and sunshine nothing better that VIT D

JudyEddy said...

Ok didn't I say I was stepping away I thought I said that so I will then I think I am just so thrilled to see the cam up and running just sitting her watching the wind blow and blow

JudyEddy said...

the link that LYNN provided has lots of other video on butterflies and other insects check them out also I did

Lynne2 said...

Maybe Jordyn's mom figures if she goes outside, she'll be inclined to want to play and not rest enough? But I have to agree....sunshine and fresh air can't hurt!

PA Nana said...

Hi everyone!

Thanks JudyE for the "heads up" on the cam. Been a long time since I've been on here too.

JudyEddy said...

I sent everyone that I have on my email a reminder that the cam is up just in case they don't check Don't want anyone to miss the visit tonight do I sound confident or what that they will be here tonight

JudyEddy said...

according to google they virtually have no sense of smell

JudyEddy said...

no they only lay eggs on milkweed because that is the only plant the caterpillars can eat it was said on the video did you look at the other videos on the site

Lolly said...

Hellllooooo! I am home! Time to rest! But first let me tell you...we have been working!

Last June we moved Laurel to her new school. (Old school..new to her) She was told to put her stuff in a classroom next to the office. The other teacher had not moved out. Custodians would move Laurel's stuff to her basement classroom. We saw the room and it was a mess! Stuff on the floors, shelves, desks, wall, closet, etc. Junk everywhere!

Last week Laurel was told she could not get to her room that the custodians were cleaning the "garden" level. So, Monday, before I got there she went to the school to get her keys and get started. Well...no keys! Previous teacher had "lost them". She went to the room, it was messier and junkier than when she saw it in June. Her stuff was still upstairs. She managed not to cry!!!! We got busy....we hauled junk to the hall! We filled garbage bags, we sorted, we cleaned, we returned stuff to dept heads, the library, other teachers and the office. We cleaned..baseboards had to be scrubbed. White boards were covered in dirty tape residue, walls were covered with staples and nails. We hauled tables and chairs out and desks in. Then we hauled Laurel's stuff from upstairs down to her room. We did have three dollys and a small elevator. Thank goodness! After that it was store Laurel's stuff, unpack books, and decorate the room. I might mention that even the desk was full of junk...paper clips, broken crayons, broken calculators, pennies, non working pens, tacks, and tampons. LOL

We we left at lunch time today Laurel smiled for the first time. She said it was beginning to look like her room. It really was looking good. She had more posters to put up and she is making a couple of fake "windows". I also did some other work..numbering the desks, made her birthday book, and went through some books that she had kept from the previous teacher, putting Laurel's name in the books.

We did this with the boys there. Joseph was mostly a big help and Jacob mostly a big hindrance. LOL Typical boys!

The principal, and assistant principals have apologized to Laurel. They tried to get the previous teacher back but she ignored all they tries at contacting her. She WAS a friend of Laurel's on facebook...Laurel has unfriended her!!!

Lolly said...

"their" tries!!! typo!

WOW LOLLY!!!! I can not believe what you went through over the past few days...Incredible that the classroom was left in such a mess. Amazing energy you have and I am sure Laurel is grateful to have had you there and I hope the Principal and Vice Principal realize the very high standards that Laurel has and continue to appreciate her. It is difficult to be a new staff member in a school and if they were used to not so high standards it might prove to be frustrating. Yet they apologized and that in itsef is something. I wished they had hired what we refer to here as "work experience students" to do the clearing and the heavy lifting. My old school used to hire them over the summer from the group which took part in the work experience program during the year.We paid them minimum wage and they were always very pleased with the refrences we wrote them afterwards.

BRAVO LOLLY AND LAUREL.

Welcome home, Lolly. So sorry Laurel's room was such a mess and you two had so much work to get it almost ready. Have a nice dinner and get some rest. At least there was an apology.

Darth is out with a lovely female patrol officer for a ride-along. They just stopped by. Nasty and very sad accident just a few miles away. Head-on involving a bus, truck, at least one car, two dead (decapitation) and one transported. So sorry for family members. On a lighter note, I gave her permission to taze as needed to keep Darth in line.

Anxious to find out if Liesl is ready to make up with Lynn.

magpie said...

Righto, Jo..what an unbelievable Full Court Press that Lolly, Laurel and the boys have had to put forth !!
So glad that Laural finally found a reason to smile...☺
I too holler for pictures...
especially the "after" ones

Kay said...

I spent the afternoon with grandson, Seth and granddog Malcolm. After they left I opened e-mail first and found JUDY's message saying the cam is up ! Wahoo, I thought. Unfortunately, I found out the truth---sorry it was so short lived ! Bummer !

LORI, the black walnut tree is still there--they trimmed off some dead limbs that were dangling over my roof. I talked to a board member late this afternoon and learned the tree work is in prep for roof replacement. No sense in putting on a new roof only to have a huge limb come crashing down on it ! Unfortunately the tree guys left a big mess of little twigs and sawdust on my deck, so I spent about an hour taking care of that. Had to come in and take my 2nd shower of the day before I could stand to fix a bite to eat ! It's pretty comfortable out there, but not when you're raking, sweeping, washing.....

LYNN, what a disappointment it was for Liesl to hold a grudge and treat you that way. LOL It won't last long, dogs are so forgiving !
Poor Shannon, Montezuma's revenge is no fun and it isn't unusual to bring it home from Mexico. There are better souvenirs to be had !

LYNNE, LORI calls the flowers in my avatar, Funky Lantana. She says butterflies love them !

LOLLY, don't blame Laurel a bit for unfriending that slob ! How thoughtless. It's evident she has no pride in what others think of her. Did she get fired ? So glad your were there to help ! Big girls do cry, but not so much when Mom is there to administer TLC !

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I cannot believe our little Maggie is 5. That brought a huge smile to my sore mouth. :)

magpie said...

And thanks to Jo for slipping us the word about Maggie's Birthday
last night that it was today !!

Mema Jo said...

Judie - I would hope Darth is not going to bring home any pictures for you to use in class of the decapitation. But it
would help to make a point or two.

Kay said...

SHARON, so glad you're feeling good enough to keep that keen wit in tact and able to smile about little Maggie's birthday. Hope it's been a happy one for her, JO !

OMG, JUDIE, Darth must have a stronger stomach than I. What a horrible accident, sad, sad, sad.
The officer may be lovely, but I feel sure your adoring husband ♫♫ Only has eyes for you ! ♪♪♫

Lynne2 said...

Geez Lolly, I'm so sorry that Laurel was left with such a mess. Glad you were there to help her!

Oh YES Kay....butterflies and hummers LOVE those flowers! Never saw a two toned color one before!

Moonlight on the nest looks dreamy

Good Evening more Eagle Pals xo

Judie said...

I also was denied access to the blog earlier. Thought I had been black-listed.

Darth and his officer host did not have to go to the scene. A different district had to respond on scene. Still, it is unsettling. So very sorry for the families and their unexpected loss of loved ones. As for me, well, Darth will likely come home as I do not have a taser BUT the officer said she would arrange to get me one.

Jo, hope dinner was a success with Meatball. She seems to be happy with anything you provide, especially love.

Lantana, a great attraction for butterflies (and bees).

Kay, glad you had some time with Seth and Malcolm. Know that makes your heart sing.

Sent an email to Chrissy. No response. Sure am hoping she is well out of the rioting area.

Hey Sharon. Good to know you are feeling well enough to join the evening chat. Heal quickly, please.

I need to read back. Has Liesl been a naughty girl? Oh, no! Not Liesl!

Laurel called...she had a good afternoon. The librarian, a good friend, really came through. She came to Laurel's room and untangled the computer mess. She also installed the only long cord she had for Laurel's overhead data projector, saving Laurel lots of money. (that she does not have!)

Things are looking up!

paula eagleholic said...

OK Lynn, you haven't told us about your trip!! How was it? Did you find anything? Eat any good food? Go skinny dipping on the beach?

Lolly said...

Oh, Margy!!! Slinny dipping???? Really? That is on my bucket list...to go skinny dipping. LOL

Lolly, I can't believe the mess you found in Laurel's room. Sounds like the principal isn't very much on the ball. I wouldn't ever give a new teacher a class in that kind of shape.
