STILL STARING OUT FROM ATOP THE NEST RAIL. GET THE FEELING HE IS REALLY LOOKING FOR BELLE. ENOUGH OF THAT! HE'S HOPPED BACK OVER TO THE NEST CUP AT 10.
ANDY Love the report about Thailand otherwise no other comments on last night comments All caught up can't say that too often Now just waiting to see if they will show back up
JUDY, it's MEGAN who takes care of VINCENT. Last I heard she had not seen him in 5 - 6 days. I have the Vulture family - 2 chicks and not sure if there is one or two parents. Should be two.
Good Morning Eagle Pals Lori JudyE...anyone else? It's the wind, Judy no thunder now, spectacular WV morning - wish you could be here clear and cool I'm near-hypnotized by the waving sycamore leaves I actually signed on around 5:15 Good Nest-Action Reports, gals, thanks Truder looks much better today
Too funny! Andrea's sister-in-law used the term Eye Candy about the sights in Thailand Speaking of which, Eye-Candy - JudyE I SEE you SAW Nu... uh, yeah, hma hma ☺ Thanks to Loretta and Shirley for getting the pics on here, and to Wanda for taking those pictures !!!
I think he needs to be called and we need to make sure we are all there and I can get a good video of him while he trims our branch Oh and make sure he dresses appropriately like a nice muscle shirt
Judy- interesting about those parrrots at your workplace! What kind do you think they are? I'd want to check my bird-books to check them out Also I will check your blog for Jordyn videos but computer is very slow when live feed is on, so.....a little later on that for me Is there any coffee left? How about the danish ? ☺
Someone said that they were pets at one time and just multiplied but they are there at certain times of the day been years that they have been there to
funny thing, Judy I'm 5' tall, and I hear Nu is not much taller than that ! In that picture it looks like the shirt he is "sort of" wearing, is colored like the American Flag
Lori - lots of people at market stroll through with their dogs (on leash of course) first one I saw: a beautiful chestnut brown Bulldog!
Flag Day, 14 June, marks the anniversary of the adoption by Congress in 1777 of the Stars and Stripes as emblem of the nation. Celebrations of the flag began in local communities throughout the country during the nineteenth century, largely for the purpose of educating children in history. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson, and later, in 1927, President Calvin Coolidge, suggested that 14 June be observed as Flag Day. It was not until 3 August 1949 (thanks to President Harry S Truman) that the National Flag Day Bill became law, giving official recognition to 14 June to celebrate the flag.
I see the Blackwater cams are back up after being down for awhile Sunday interesting link on BWE on the four-eaglet nest on the James River in Virginia (first even-known 4 chick nest in Virginia) and interesting Osprey news on the Osprey Web Cam Log about the 3 little ones there
Ok now I can pour my next cup of coffee I refuse to make another pot so I pace myself drinking it Getting up at 5 I tend to drink more that when I get up at 6
Sorry MARGY & JUDY. Don't mean to disappear. My schedule of duties has been rearranged this morning so some things have to be done earlier than before. :(
Judy not sure about a web cam still clicking through the site, have not found it yet still photographs are posted someone else on here can probably answer that
Understood, Lori, no apology necessary when you are at work !
not silly Judy don't think there is much vine growth ON the tree probably something that was brought to the nest by eagles or other birds doing their droppings, OR, from branches that the Eagles brought in through the Spring... or leftover from last year but I don't know what they are again, someone else on here will know more about that !
Paula have you and Nugz on my mind this morning Nugz is still part of the 24/7 Medical Prayer Plan here... hoping that today will be a better day for him (( hugs ♥♥ )) for you both xoxox
Jo wonderful report of your day yesterday, with the Dance Recital and the Neighborhood Gathering
Lynn: had to laugh, about Liesl's "backwards" event Sunday. When I read about her doing her business and then she came to you barking in barking, you posted "Backwards" I had this vision of Liesl coming to the room backwards and barking gave me a good LOL ☺
said I would try not to run posts up but I just did :(
going to disappear for a little bit
At Berkeley Springs park yesterday, near the pool, heard first and then saw the most beautiful male Baltimore Oriole, in the most beautiful Sycamore tree, then saw him perched....on his nest !! Got pictures of that nest, but will download and post later on, I always wanted to see one, and finally did ☺
Best wishes for a Good Day, Everyone... this should be a very good cool gardening day for Megan !
Almost 90 minutes with no posts so I'm interrupting your quiet time to say, "WHERE ARE YOU?" I know Representative Anthony Weiner is in Rehab, but I don't know where all the eagle lovers have gone. I ask you, what kind of REHAB? Cyber Cheating Crackberry Photographers? What would the name of that place be? There's no Betty Ford Center for that.
I'm sure SHIRLEY has had her plate of pancakes, eggs and bacon at her RETIREMENT BREAKFAST at IHOP by now. I should have told you to have a grain pancake for me, Shirley. They are great.
KAY, DANA MO and MEGAN the Early Birds missed you this morning.
Hope you're enjoying Malcolm and the dog park outings KAY. TOO bad DANA and her Flying Labs don't live closer.
Yikes, y'all, children and fiesty young dogs are definitely for young people. There is no way I'll ever catch up with what I missed yesterday, so will glean what I can from your posts. Trust you will let me know via Yahoo Momsters or e-mail if something I must know happens ! I was up early, 4:30ish, so, of course, the dog was, too. After a quick outing I thought he'd settle back down, but no, he wanted to play. Couldn't take a chance of having him wake neighbors up with any barking and so went back to the daybed in Seth's room to cuddle and watch the news. Next thing I know it's 8 and he hasn't been taken out for a constitutional or eaten or anything usually accomplished by time. Got him out just in time, too ! Now he's back to play mode---just gave him a Bully Stick to occupy him for a few minutes so I can assure you all is well here.
LOL, LORI, the Wiener rehab idea ! Good question, too, where is he going for this therapy ? Everyone keeps saying how brilliant he is, hmmm, not my definition of the word ! Sad, sad, sad.
JUDYE, I knew NU in the woods would impress !
MARGY, "they" say good things come in small packages. Oh, yeh !!!!!!
Guess I won't get back to my routine with the Early Birds or blog in general until Malcolm and I come to an understanding----so probably not til' he goes home Saturday evening !☺
Love you all, miss you all and wish you an an Apple Dumpling Dandy Day !
Yes, I have had my breakfast at IHOP, and there are enough leftovers for probably two more breakfasts. I had their garden crepes and some sausages. Maybe it is just as well to make several meals of it. I just looked at the calories, etc., and it is up there. But that is okay.
Tying together loose ends. Just requested permission to keep my laptop for the week so that I can report my dual enrollment grades later on.
So, I am back at my desk today. It will take awhile to wind this thing up.
GOOD MORNING... I thought I'd put my 2¢ worth in on the EARLY BIRDS discussion of the excess of greenery around the nest. Well, might not matter now, they have CLOSED THE CYBER CAFE and disappeared into Cyber Space:) I do believe there is a vineing VIRGINIA CREEPER around the nest and, of course, a small branch of sycamore leaves at bottom right. MEGAN may have a look and see what she thinks. The photo of NU appears that he is working with his jacket or shirt half off, is deceiving...he was in the process of taking it off because it had gotten so hot;) Whew!
SHIRLEY, what a way to end your SCHOOL DAYS...breakfast at IHOP! Love their steak omlette. Ohhh yes! As the weeks go by, wish you would tell us of your feelings of being retired. I guess it will differ from day to day. ENJOY!♥
GOOD MORNING, DANA:) Thank you so much for trying to get me a Cardinal Vine...that was so sweet of you!♥ I never see one in any of the stores or nurseries. I will look for seeds on line or ask Megan to save me one next Spring.
LOLLY, I so love my Golden Columbine! It bloomed so beautifully, then went to seed, and now, it is blooming AGAIN! Seeds of the pretty blue-purple columbine are just about ready to harvest. I will leave them in the pods and mail them to you as soon as they dry...so, be looking for them in a week or so:)
Wanda Megan may still have some cardinal vine. She just didn't have them at Market yesterday. So get ahold of her to find out. Wanda I would love to have some of the seeds from the yellow columbine. If you would give me some. I would certainly apprecite it.
Wahooo! Wanda, I am so excited about getting more seeds from you. Fantastic! I have three envelopes of seeds ready to be mailed out to those that requested them. Did not get a whole lot as many of the seeds had already fallen. Harvested what I could. I told the three getting the seeds to check with you on what you did for success in that area. I know that the seeds I got from you that were successful were the ones I put in pots. I scattered some but they did not come up.
As for rehab for Weiner...I, too, did not know there was rehab for STUPID!
I think we should have a virtual party for Shirley this evening. I will "vake" and decorate a cake. What can the rest of you bring? ♪♪ Come on...let's celebrate!♪♪
Diann just catching your comment posted at 10:44pm last night. Yes Terry Fator. I seen when he won on there. I would loved to have known he was on tv. I would have tapped it because I fell asleep in front of tv woke 4am. He is so great with his puppets. You are right when you said :sounded just like the original".
I do want to apologize on one of my comments back there somewhere I called you Diana. A CR moment of mind.
Paula I think you are right. When you said Margy name your beach place. It sounds so good and has that perfect ring to it: sign saying; WELCOME TO PAULA'S PARADISE
wow does sound good gal. Sorry Nugz wasn't feeling well yesterday. Hope today he is feeling better. Please give him a scratch behind the ear. ty
I'll cook up some Beef Tongue for Shirley's Party ☺ Probably a small one will suffice. What a breakfast Shirley had! Best wishes Shirley for getting all the loose ends and final details taken care of... Just let us know when you are REALLY, FINALLY FREE
Wanda, I thought someone here would know more about the greenery, that someone is YOU
Good cool morning from the 'ville. Glad you all got to see nest activity. From what was originally posted when the 4-eaglet nest on the James River was observed, it is the third time there has been one in VA. Don't recall if that was 4 eggs or 4 hatches, for sure, but I thought they said eaglets. Have they "revised" their statement? No, JudyE....no cam there. Photo taken from a helicopter/plane doing a nest survery.
Hope that 503 has gone to sleep---for good! Yesterday was a true PIA.
Wanda, glad you had a good time at Bible School. Gotta say, tho', that I think Bible Schools around here are held way too early. Kids have just gotten out of school.....it should be more towards the middle of their time off, as it was when I was growing up. JMHO.
Oh I went into my blogs and checked comments that needed to be "moderated and published." It's part of a setting that I checked for any comments posted about a month after the pictures go up...so I can keep track of the nice things people are saying after this time has passed.
Found quite a few; they used to go to my email, but realize that after July 1 last year, with the change from Verizon to Frontier, I had never updated the emai address on there. I appreciate everyone's kind remarks about what I post. Thank You !
Margy, still w/ scheduling confusion at work. Carolyn worked 2-MN yesterday and did not know until this morning whether they needed her at 10 or noon.....turns out to be noon, but doesn't know if til 10pm or MN! Geesh! People who call in repeatedly have no respect for the inconvenience they cause other people!
Lynn well, I haven't been following an awful lot of things too closely, ( I CAN'T KEEP UP! )but this is what I read off the link posted on the BWE site: (from May 18, 2011):
"One month ago today on April 18, 2011 Dr Bryan Watts and Dr Mitchell Byrd discovered the first ever documented 4-chick bald eagle nest in Virginia during their annual survey of bald eagle nests and relavent productivity. The nest is located in Hopewell on Bailey’s Creek off the James River. The two of them flew over the nest again today May 18, 2011 and Dr Watts took this photographic image of the 4 eaglets on the nest while flying above the nest at about 300 feet at 100 mph!! Dr Watts states “The brood looks really great.”
Uh....Margy! Please describe the actual dish in which you are bringing your "treat" to the party. I just want to MAKE SURE I know which dish is yours. roflmbo
I just decided, though, that I could make One Fried Green Tomato ! Straight from the Garden !
Lynn, I have seen Baltimore Orioles, often...but never the nest ! sorry for that confusion.... I used to have the Balto Orioles on my property on Mary Street...high up on the Black Walnut Trees....
Lynn about the schedule... when one is leaving... it sometimes happens that they practically leave before that date arrives... guess they don't mind a burning bridge left behind
It is fortunate that Carolyn is flexible- AND capable ....I think that was a "Just in Case" plan set up on Friday
One fried green tomato sounds wonderful. So, now we have a decorated cake, one fried green tomato (you are leaving that other delightful dish at home?) and margaritas. We are on a roll!
Time for me to leave. Need to prepare a dish for a luncheon. Vaking vaked fruit!☺
I agree with Wanda that it is VA Creeper around the edges of the nest, and sycamore leaves in the forefromnt. The flowering, which isn't real evident in the wind, is sycamore blooms.
Lynn think there was some sort of family need or crisis involved also not sure, but sometimes it is just inconsiderateness
Okay Lolly, keep our Celebration Menu items tabulated for us
time to kick some fanny, mine for example, and get some things taken care of Must go play in the dirt soon! By the way, a friend of mine dug up volumes of Lily of the Valley plants, complete with roots....her husband said Too Many in the Garden, Get rid of them... I will have some extra if anyone would like to have them....
Gotcha, Margy, on all your explanations.....still confused about the 4-chick nest, tho!, cause I don't think I dreamt the 3! Guess you got my email about verizon! I see that Jo already answered Dana's ? about JudyE's acronyms! Oh, well.... I can't keep up!
I'll bring some Turkey Hill Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream for the party Lolly is throwing for Shirley!! Will have to scrounge for dry ice----not sold anyplace in Martinsburg/Berkeley Co. anymore. Will have to make a trip to Winchester!
Thank You !!! I refresh comments and totally missed backing up to yours at 10:31 AM
everyone, you want to back up and get this....spectacular... Glo's handiwork, a collage of events from eggs to fledging... so, live feed just in time for Flag Day that year??
Ok Mema Jo your posting of video at 10:31 am this page. Has me crying...it is a good crying. Glo one of the "BEST VIDEO'S MADE". Jo thank you for posting. Cause when they were talking about flag day and avatars. I was thinking of SPUNKY. lol hee hee These are some of my best memories also with Ed too. They are the best memories tears of our Bigboy, MsInBetween, Spunky, Belle & our LIBERTY. Thank you Mema Jo for posting and Glo for making that video back then. HUGS♥♥♥ that 3 eaglets ♥♥ that's Belle and Liberty !!!

NU may have been hot but he sure has made us HOT HOT Nice EYE CANDY I thought he was doing a little show for the camera
WVGAL DANA HAGD have a good day OTWIG off to work I go Sorry to corn fuse anyone as if that is possible with this bunch LOL
Found what I was looking for about the 4-eaglet nest. First in VA.....initial report states: "More than 8,000 breeding attempts have been monitored in Virginia as part of the annual survey and this is the first 4-chick brood ever documented in the state. As far as we are aware, this represents only the third 4-chick brood ever documented for this species. The first was in 1986 on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and the second was in 2009 in the water gap portion of the Delaware River."
HAPPY PIGEON DAY! In honor of that, her are Silver and Spot, 2 pigeons that flew into my life, 2 weeks apart, in the summer, and stayed (and actually left 2 weeks apart) til the following spring.
Hope everyone is having a good day..
HAPPY RETIREMENT SHIRLEY!
I'm off to my sad job, will try to check in later.
Thanks Dana. Been busier than a one armed paper hanger. Some residual concussion symptoms but no big deal. Just to be safe I'm seeing a neurologist tomorrow.
Prayers to Bob as he goes to see the neurologist tomorrow...Hope all turns out to your satisfaction Bob...Wishes for Good Health and Blessings come your way
Bob, glad you are seeing the neuro....not good to be still be having residual symptomatolgy. Pray that all is well and that you are back to 100% very soon.
Another nice card, JudyE.
Which reminds me....Shirley, check you email!!! I think Friday!
JudyE Card for Shirley is very appropriate! She will love it! I am praying for Shirley that she will get through the day and that not too many tears are shed. Life changes are sometimes overwhelming!
Having a time with Liesl. Took half-an-hour to make her understand that chewing on the corner of the mat in front of the door is VERBOTEN! Hard-headed German! Had to resort to calling her a dumkoph!
Oh, Margy---they come back proliferously (ha! is that a word?) every year....and spread! They are even in the gravel of the driveway in a couple of spots!!!
Dropping in to say Good Morning/Afternoon! Can't stay long, but HAD to say hello and see how everyone is doing.
Bob, prayers for your appt. tomorrow with the neurologist. Hope you're back to 100% very soon!
Lynn, had to laugh about Liesl and the mat she wants to chew. She will get the idea eventually, I'm sure. Emma finally "got it" that the corners of the coffee table are not for teething!
Margy, thank you so much for the American Flag/Flag Day info! I know I learned all that in school when I was a kid, but it's so nice to have a refresher course! Glad you spotted a Baltimore Oriole nest! Lucky you! I'm jealous!
Shirley, your retirement breakfast at IHOP sounds wonderful! What day this week does your retirement become official?
Well, need to go pay some bills online. :o[ (They never stop appearing in the mailbox, do they?!) BBIALW...
Jo, no tears. I can't wait to have more time to spend talking to the Momsters.
Lynn and JudyE, thank you for your very thoughtful cards. I feel as if I have graduated, Judy. The graduation card was very appropriate.
File cabinets are cleaned out.
I still have my desk and a metal cabinet to work on, but I have reached the point that I need to sit down for awhile. I have to kill some time until the school board meets at 6:00, but I am pretty tired of hauling stuff down the hall.
I will come back on Wednesday or Thursday and finish up. I still have to report dual enrollment grades to Germanna I will bring Hunter then. I think I will go computer shopping tomorrow. I have to get my own laptop now.
Shirley, we are having a retirement party for you this evening!
So far on the menu
A DECORATED CAKE MARGARITAS ONE FRIED GREEEN TOMATO (and be glad it is not Margy's first offer) TURKEY HILL CHOCOLATE PEANUTBUTTER ICE CREAM/on dry ice(Lynn has to travel to get ice) ALPHABET SOUP
Retirement really does not begin for Shirley until school starts this next school year. Then is when Shirley will dance with joy!!
Home from work I hope everyone had a good day Now to do something before I start reading
HEDGIE thanks for the info on the four eagles, HMMM I wonder being they know the nest is there I wonder if they will put a camera up for next season Just a though.
Hey I think I have figured out my state of confusion of not knowing the right days of the week Today is Mon but the blog says SAT I guess I'm just looking for someone or something to blame HA HA
Paula, had you missed about Bob's fall a few weeks ago??? He hit his head and had a concussion! Obviously, effects linger!!! Poor Bob!! MAYBE POOR SARAH!!!
Shirley, do you have anyone helping you tote those boxes??
Sharon, you sure got that right about the hot dogs!!!! Hi, Buddy---teasing you! Good dog!
Yep, easy trial day. Just cannot imagine who is going to be on the stand tomorrow afternoon. Some speculation it might be a jail-mate (always tricky unless no deal at all in any form has been offered) but I rather suspect it might be another forensic expert. Loving the forensics!
Off to the kitchen. Need to begin the alphabet soup.
Judie, no reason why an inmate wouldn't have been "available" at any time the prosecution wanted, right? I would guess that an expert was maybe tied up in another case, or travel delay of some major kind.
Well I think BOB has a GREAT sense of humour...Way to go...Mema Jo and Paula are pretty funny too with their responses to his posts...I have a big smile...
Margy to the party tonight I will bring Hors d'oeuvres and dry white wine...and since there can never be too much dessert I will bring chocolate cream puffs.
Happy Retiremet Shirley. I only realized it in September when it was time to go back to school. I went on a trip instead and it felt wonderful...Enjoy your summer holidays first...it took me several weeks to unwind over the summer too...
Lynn, Poor Liesl can not eat the carpet???Why not???LOL with those beautiful eyes to boot...oh my what is a dog to do then??? ;^) !!!
57 degrees here today and rainy...tonight down to 46 with thunder showers.
MEMA JO ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ lOvE iT ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥
The video I just love it I posted on our facebook page and on Eagle Cam Addict, and Friends of Ponca page also
I have 80 email comments to read Right now I'm trying to let my ibuprofen go to work on my neck before I start Just wanted to say that video kicks butt COOL BEANS I love it I just can't say it enough
Can anyone think of what would resemble an osprey, but smaller??? I saw a cool sight. MARGY: I was west on 9 at the light in the H'ville square. A hollowed out limb end right over top of the traffic light had a large bird going in and settling....white face...rest of bird was black. Wonder if she had a nest in there...closed my sunroof just in case!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥GLO tHaNk YoU fOr MaKiNg ThAt GLORIOUS vIDeO Just read that the video was madeby you and I wanted to say it was just beautiful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Worth all the tears
BOB I hope your appt goes good Will be keeping you in my prayers
SHIRLEY I will provide the coffee but I may be late to the party Kopi Luwak is a rare and gourmet coffee from Indonesia that is made from beans passed through the digestive system of monkeys.
I see where you asked Lynne about her job at the Sad Place, Lynn... I'm wondering if Lynne2 referred to her job this afternoon as the Sad Place because, is that where she helps at Manchester? Maybe some sick little pets or something? Hope she comes on and talks to us later
Nope, not a hawk or a pileated.....not that big.....and really looked like a miniature osprey! Margy, try to remember to look for it the next time you go through. Too big for a downy woodpecker, too...and no white showing om body....just face.
Heading for sofa....ate too much...need to stretch out a bit! BBL!
BTW----our Ceil is doing something she said she would never do....she is in the air, winging to Portland, OR with Jim and MM for Kevin's wedding! Train could not go past Chicago due to flooding.....so they got a refund and flew out of Dulles about 25 mins. ago!!!!! She WAS very nervous!
HEDGIE 49 I say cold Brrr and 59 is too cold for me I think our low probably 77 Moving righ along only a little more to read gonna take a neck break LM
Ok Bob prayers for tomorrow for your neurologist appt. Well we want you to be safe! Love your Rumpelstiltskin's Tavern remark lol...Oh Bob don't try to tell the doctor about that one. He will definately think something is wrong with you LOL
Hedgie-Lynn is speaking German to Liesl...and she is going for new frames??? Will the new frames stop Lynn from speaking German? lol
Lolly I'll bring to Shirley retirement party. Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing.
Wow, that is BIG news about Ceil's flying Prayers that she finds it very exciting....what she will see from the air, will be spectacular! Thanks, Hedgie..
only other bird I found so far in bird book is White Crowned Pigeon (but that is a Florida Specialty... and only the Crown is white....☺)
I am looking at kingbird, etc....too much white
maybe a mutant or something..or juvenile....something I will keep looking ! ttfn
JudyE's blue link that says SHIRLEY. I love the commerical that has the dog riding in a car with his butt instead of his head sticking out the window LOL

Speaking of the American Flag
Tuesday, June 14:
Flag Day, 14 June,
marks the anniversary of the adoption by Congress in 1777 of the Stars and Stripes as emblem of the nation. Celebrations of the flag began in local communities throughout the country during the nineteenth century, largely for the purpose of educating children in history. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson, and later, in 1927, President Calvin Coolidge, suggested that 14 June be observed as Flag Day. It was not until 3 August 1949 (thanks to President Harry S Truman)
that the National Flag Day Bill became law, giving official recognition to 14 June to celebrate the flag.
Bet Google will have some nice graphics on Tuesday
Original Flag
13 stripes
Seven Red, Six White
(13 - for the original 13 colonies)
13 white stars on a field of blue
Colors,
Red symbolizes Hardiness and Valor
White, Purity and Innocence
Blue, Vigilance, Perseverance and Justice
Shhh don't tell anyone but no 503 today YET I should add
I see the Blackwater cams are back up after being down for awhile Sunday
interesting link on BWE on the four-eaglet nest on the James River in Virginia

Osprey Web Cam Log about the 3 little ones there
Ok now I can pour my next cup of coffee I refuse to make another pot so I pace myself drinking it Getting up at 5 I tend to drink more that when I get up at 6
neat church news from Lolly about a possible daycare center developing at her church
and from Wanda about the Bible School at hers

Sorry MARGY & JUDY. Don't mean to disappear. My schedule of duties has been rearranged this morning so some things have to be done earlier than before. :(
silly question The green in the nest that is not part of the tree growth is it a vine?? leaves are to small to be part of the tree I think?
Judy
not sure about a web cam
still clicking through the site, have not found it yet
still photographs are posted
someone else on here can probably answer that
Understood, Lori, no apology necessary when you are at work !
not silly Judy
don't think there is much vine growth ON the tree
probably something that was brought to the nest by eagles or other birds doing their droppings, OR, from branches that the Eagles brought in through the Spring...
or leftover from last year
but I don't know what they are
again, someone else on here will know more about that !
HAGD BBL OTWIG
Judie
waiting on daylight at the Kestrel cam, saw your post about them being at the nest box opening...
Also:
Have found wild Swamp Milkweed nearby here before, waiting on it again...a beautful rosy-pink color
Paula
have you and Nugz on my mind this morning
Nugz is still part of the 24/7 Medical Prayer Plan here...
hoping that today will be a better day for him
(( hugs ♥♥ )) for you both xoxox
Jo
wonderful report of your day yesterday, with the Dance Recital and the Neighborhood Gathering
Lynn:
had to laugh, about Liesl's "backwards" event Sunday.
When I read about her doing her business and then she came to you barking in barking, you posted "Backwards"
I had this vision of Liesl coming to the room backwards and barking
gave me a good LOL ☺
said I would try not to run posts up but I just did :(
going to disappear for a little bit
At Berkeley Springs park yesterday, near the pool, heard first and then saw the most beautiful male Baltimore Oriole, in the most beautiful Sycamore tree, then saw him perched....on his nest !! Got pictures of that nest, but will download and post later on, I always wanted to see one, and finally did ☺
Best wishes for a Good Day, Everyone...
this should be a very good cool gardening day for Megan !
ttfn xoxo ♥
see four kestrels in the nest box...maybe the 5th one has flown the coop
MTBR
Have a good day everyone! BBL.
Good morning!!
Going ahead and saying Good Morning to my Eagle friends. Before I finish catching up on comments.
I did see eagles report ty Lori and others.
Read the beauiful comment about our American Flag that Margy put in comments. Thank you ( :
Need to go get caught up.
GOOD MORNING...
I thought I'd put my 2¢ worth in on the EARLY BIRDS discussion of the excess of greenery around the nest. Well, might not matter now, they have CLOSED THE CYBER CAFE and disappeared into Cyber Space:)
I do believe there is a vineing VIRGINIA CREEPER around the nest and, of course, a small branch of sycamore leaves at bottom right.
ENJOY!♥
Good morning! Thought for sure there would be a new thread, but nope!
Just saw this....
Jo and cub
I love to watch the bear videos as their camera is so excellent, just beautiful pictures.
Going to read the blog now!
Morning, all!
Thanks for the eagle report this morning!
Lolly, I'll bring the margaritas! ☺
Thank you Hedgie-Lynn for posting that comment "Da Bears".
Lolly I love the video you posted on this thread "Jo and cub". Watched it three times lol
JudyE I got what bbl means but don't know what HAGD BBL OTWIG the
HAGD or OTWIG means?? I guess I am computer illiterate for the abbreviations.
Wahoooo! Margaritas!!! This is going to be a great party!
Whoops! Time for me to go walk!
Good Morning Paula and Nugz. Did you get held up in traffic on the Bay Bridge coming home?
Paula I think you are right. When you said Margy name your beach place. It sounds so good and has that perfect ring to it:
sign saying;
WELCOME TO PAULA'S PARADISE
wow does sound good gal. Sorry Nugz wasn't feeling well yesterday. Hope today he is feeling better. Please give him a scratch behind the ear. ty
Good Morning everyone!
Momster/Dadsters' June 14
2007 Anniversary of our very special Flag Day
Dana
HAGD = Have a good (great) day
OTWIG = On to work I go!
I'll cook up some Beef Tongue for Shirley's Party ☺
Probably a small one will suffice.
What a breakfast Shirley had!
Best wishes Shirley for getting all the loose ends and final details taken care of...
Just let us know when you are REALLY, FINALLY FREE
Wanda, I thought someone here would know more about the greenery, that someone is YOU
Good Morning again, Eagle Pals...
I thought there were only four kestrels in the box earlier, now it looks like five, either instead, or again
Need to plant my Megan flowers into the ground from yesterday and get to the store sometime
Sure hope Steve made it through the awful storms out his way Sunday
Best wishes again, for a Good, Safe, Healthy and Happy Day
Hope all our Momsters and Dadsters are doing okay in all our Eagle Corners
ttfn xoxo ♥
JMHO.
Oh
I went into my blogs and checked comments that needed to be "moderated and published."
It's part of a setting that I checked for any comments posted about a month after the pictures go up...so I can keep track of the nice things people are saying after this time has passed.
Lynn
well, I haven't been following an awful lot of things too closely, ( I CAN'T KEEP UP! )but this is what I read off the link posted on the BWE site:
(from May 18, 2011):
"One month ago today on April 18, 2011 Dr Bryan Watts and Dr Mitchell Byrd discovered the first ever documented 4-chick bald eagle nest in Virginia during their annual survey of bald eagle nests and relavent productivity. The nest is located in Hopewell on Bailey’s Creek off the James River. The two of them flew over the nest again today May 18, 2011 and Dr Watts took this photographic image of the 4 eaglets on the nest while flying above the nest at about 300 feet at 100 mph!! Dr Watts states “The brood looks really great.”
Margy, you weren't with us at our nest when we saw the B.O. there??
Glad you got to see one yesterday, and got pics!! Whoo Hoo as Jo would say!
Uh....Margy! Please describe the actual dish in which you are bringing your "treat" to the party. I just want to MAKE SURE I know which dish is yours. roflmbo
LOL Lolly! ☺
Lynn
about the schedule...
when one is leaving... it sometimes happens that they practically leave before that date arrives...
guess they don't mind a burning bridge left behind
It is fortunate that Carolyn is flexible-
AND capable ....I think that was a "Just in Case" plan set up on Friday
One fried green tomato sounds wonderful. So, now we have a decorated cake, one fried green tomato (you are leaving that other delightful dish at home?) and margaritas. We are on a roll!
Time for me to leave. Need to prepare a dish for a luncheon. Vaking vaked fruit!☺
Have a great Monday! BBL
I agree with Wanda that it is VA Creeper around the edges of the nest, and sycamore leaves in the forefromnt. The flowering, which isn't real evident in the wind, is sycamore blooms.
DANAWV: JudyE's comments mean:
Have a Good Day Off to Work I Go.
Lynn
think there was some sort of family need or crisis involved also
not sure, but sometimes it is just
inconsiderateness
Okay Lolly, keep our Celebration Menu items tabulated for us
time to kick some fanny, mine for example, and get some things taken care of
Must go play in the dirt soon!
By the way, a friend of mine dug up volumes of Lily of the Valley plants, complete with roots....her husband said Too Many in the Garden, Get rid of them...
I will have some extra if anyone would like to have them....
Take Care, All
xoxo ♥
Jo!
Thank You !!! I refresh comments and totally missed backing up to yours at 10:31 AM
everyone, you want to back up and get this....spectacular...
Glo's handiwork, a collage of events from eggs to fledging...

NU may have been hot but he sure has made us HOT HOT Nice EYE CANDY I thought he was doing a little show for the camera
WVGAL DANA
HAGD have a good day OTWIG off to work I go Sorry to corn fuse anyone as if that is possible with this bunch LOL
Watching that video is so bittersweet. I remember it like it was yesterday! Crying here now.
Hey has anyone had 502 or 503 today I bet he is on vacation I know I haven't had any issues so far And thanks for the info on the greenery in the nest
Found what I was looking for about the 4-eaglet nest. First in VA.....initial report states:
"More than 8,000 breeding attempts have been monitored in Virginia as part of the annual survey and this is the first 4-chick brood ever documented in the state. As far as we are aware, this represents only the third 4-chick brood ever documented for this species. The first was in 1986 on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and the second was in 2009 in the water gap portion of the Delaware River."
Wanda the day you and Gene where at the nest. You said Nu was about or did take off his shirt. If he did I TRULY THINK THAT IS THE PICTURE THIS GROUP WANTED LOL
Actually Lynn, I haven't been out shooting for awhile. Maybe this weekend.
SHIRLEY this is for you
Happy Retirement I thought was cute although its a graduation you have graduated to retirement
JudyE that blue link you put on there for Shirley's graduation is ---- S U P E R !!!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Bob nice to see you on the blog. It has been awhile. Have you been feeling ok? Hoping that is why you haven't been here.
Bob, weather sure hasn't been terribly good----too hot, too wet....today and the next couple would be ideal if you can take time off to do it!
Great card, JudyE.
Nope, no 503's for me today!
Lynne.....what do you mean "sad" job?????
Hi, Sharon!!!
Prayers to Bob as he goes to see the neurologist tomorrow...Hope all turns out to your satisfaction Bob...Wishes for Good Health and Blessings come your way
Hello to you, BOB:) We were so sorry to hear about your fall and concussion:(
Our Prayers are going with you today, as you see your doctor!
SHIRLEY
BTWIG BBL
Prayers go with you TOMORROW, too, Bob...I know not what I say@#&*!
DANA, I do have a photo of NU sans shirt, but it is lost. Will post if I find it;)
Saw a shadow and hear clunking on assembly.
Man I just came in to see if anymore comments had been made and
ERROR 503 - Not fair!
No need to worry about me, I'm fine. No need need to worry about me, I'm fine. Did I say that already? I'm confused. No, I'm fine. What?
Bob, glad you are seeing the neuro....not good to be still be having residual symptomatolgy. Pray that all is well and that you are back to 100% very soon.
Another nice card, JudyE.
Which reminds me....Shirley, check you email!!! I think Friday!
Sharon Even now as I watch
that June 14th video I actually at the end call out loud "GO SPUNKY"
What a day! It will never be
forgotten by so many!
Go Bob! :) No, stay I mean.
BOB I'm going to come and knock you in the head with my eagle
cane if you don't stop teasing us!
ROFL What's that you said?
You be all better soon!
Bob did you get the word that Open House for this year in Oct won't happen until Earth Day in April 2012
JudyE Card for Shirley is very
appropriate! She will love it!
I am praying for Shirley that she
will get through the day and that
not too many tears are shed. Life
changes are sometimes overwhelming!
BBILW
Yes, I heard about the Open House Jo. Will there be an interim gathering at Rumpelstiltskin's Tavern?
Bob, there will have to be an interim meeting. We cannot wait that long!!
Geesh---can't believe all my typos!
Sorry!
Having a time with Liesl. Took half-an-hour to make her understand that chewing on the corner of the mat in front of the door is VERBOTEN! Hard-headed German! Had to resort to calling her a dumkoph!
G☺☺D to see you Bob !
Hope all be well, that you'll be back in the photography saddle again...
Prayers for your 100% Wellness
xoxo
Jo
I have encountered 503 quite a lot today
:(
Lynn
From the looks of the Lily of the Valley roots, you should have Noooooo problem getting blooms again next year
Just my personal opinion...

ttfn ta ta for now
Gotta run to town....my replacement frames are in---others were defective. Too bad they weren't open yesterday--I was only two blocks away! BBL.
Oh, Margy---they come back proliferously (ha! is that a word?) every year....and spread! They are even in the gravel of the driveway in a couple of spots!!!
Howdy, Gang!
Oops!--almost forgot. Jim, are you feeling better today? Sure hope so! Prayers for your health! OK, gotta go pay some bills. :o[
Bob, What??
Seriously, hope the ol' noggin is OK!
Oooo, Shirley, laptop shopping is so fun! You may want to go into Best Buy or Staples and get the "feel" of it, then buy it online.
Hi everyone.
Been a busy day here.
Margy, 5 Kestrel babies in the box a few minutes ago.
Shirley, so pleased you had a nice breakfast and with second and thirds to enjoy. Bet you can still hardly believe the time has arrived.
Paula, hope Nugz is feeling a little better.
Lolly, I think I will bring alphabet soup to Shirley's virtual party. Letters can be used to create names of famous literary characters.
Wanda, I don't think NU was really getting too hot. I think he knew you were taking a picture of a hottie!
Bob, glad you are going for a checkup. Hope all is okay and you will be able to visit more often. Hi to Sarah.
Going back to work now. Will visit later tonight.
Hey, hey Paula! Just a little dain bramage. A lobotomy will fix me right up.
Judie,
Alphabet soup . . .
Literary characters?
LOL! Literally!
Okay, is Blogger Cop trying to retire me from the blog?
I suddenly had to sign in. And I just posted a little while ago?
Split time is almost upon us.
Shirley, first day with no students and your math skills have gone to he** ... there are 42 more posts after mine till we split... ☺
I was going to bring hot dogs to the retirement party but Buddy ate them all! :)
Shirley, we are having a retirement party for you this evening!
So far on the menu
A DECORATED CAKE
MARGARITAS
ONE FRIED GREEEN TOMATO (and be glad it is not Margy's first offer)
TURKEY HILL CHOCOLATE PEANUTBUTTER ICE CREAM/on dry ice(Lynn has to travel to get ice)
ALPHABET SOUP
Retirement really does not begin for Shirley until school starts this next school year. Then is when Shirley will dance with joy!!
Did he eat the buns, too?
"Then is when", that sounds awful! Let's try "that is the time" Shirley will dance for joy!
Sharon, you are going to have to come up with something else for the party. Or, just bring the buns. Which is it?
I think I am getting ill.....99.1 right now. Groan...............
Just went out and bought my boys Dallas Mavericks Champion t-shirts.
They are going to be so excited!
Lolly, you may borrow some of the letters from the alphabet soup to help with grammar.
Oh, thank you, Judie!!!
Just watched the video! Fantastic! What a perfect song to go with the pictures. Wow!
You best watch what you call your
Liesl, Lynn or else she'll go behind the couch again and the
Bark at you! lol
Good dog!
Judie, easy trial day today, huh?!!
LOL, Paula....no, Buddy only got the dogs!! We didn't feed him buns! That would have been overkill!
Ooh....going down to 49° here tonight! Won't that make for snug sleeping??
Lolly, I sure hope that whatever you have passes quickly. You and Jim may have the same bug.
LOL Sorry to mislead you, Lynn!! Just read what I typed and see that I could have been a little clearer. Duh! I was talking about the weather!
Do you know that (knock on wood) I have not had a cold or sinus infection in about 3 years. I am basically very healthy!
Hear a pretty bird song on the cam.
Judie, no reason why an inmate wouldn't have been "available" at any time the prosecution wanted, right?
I would guess that an expert was maybe tied up in another case, or travel delay of some major kind.
Okay, Lolly.....glad you don't have a fever. Are you feelin gill because we're going to have a cool night and you are having a very hot day??
Yup, Lynn, I know about Bob's noggin' knock.

Could it have been a broad winged hawk? Or a Sharp Shinned Hawk Lynn/Hedgie?
