Lori, in 2004 we couldn't get flu shots---vaccine not available due to manufacturing problems. In Jan. '05 I got the flu---BAD! By Mar. I was still sick so Dr. sent me for an x-ray for pneumonia....and that was when they found it. Small...inoperable due to location. 6 mos. of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation. So far, so good!!
I am not a happy camper AT ALL. Satellite is out. So typically my luck.... Season finale of Army Wives tonight and NASCAR switches from Fox TV to TNT today......Very discouraging. Will call DirecTV...but I have done everything possible here....heaven only knows how long it will take for a tech to come out. DO I have company with a big ARGH-H-H-!!!

Luna likes ice cubes too. She grabs any that fall out out on the floor. Kathryn says that too many cubes are not good for a dog, though, so we do not let her have too many.
Good morning Everyone! Playing catch-up again but wanted to let you know I'm here. This afternoon is the dance recital and these youngsters and young adults are delightful to watch perform. There are 2 photos of Alexis in her dance outfits on FB. I think I will love her hip-hop dance routine.
My daughter vacationing in France called this morning! Their eyes are being filled with all the sights. They love it - Said it didn't get dark at night until 11 pm - so they just keep sightseeing all day long! Talked with my 17 yr old grandson and he was having a blast taking it all in so to speak. In his future he will have a worldly opinion of things..

I will probably post grades this afternoon, though. I have two sets of junior grades to finalize. And I have four dual enrollment students whose grades must be reported to Germanna.
They are due by June 18, but they have finished, so I did not have that in my countdown. I had to check my syllabus to see when the grades were due because there are different due dates for every high school.
But you are right when you say I am finished with students. Unless one shows up tomorrow, I will not see any more students.

Walking to the car in the parking lot you have to dodge the seagull people are always feeding them What a pain. so they are always dive bombing looking for food and with the retention pond there they are always around we have egrets, and lots of other birds the turtles are neat especially the big soft shell ones up to a foot or better are some They say they are good ea-tin

In in the process of downloading the video to both FB and the NestVideo blog I wonder which will get done faster I started both and the same time I hope it gets done so I can publish before I leave I should have waited I guess but I figure I would see if I can get it posted before I leave
But, of course, I missed Truder's visit ! I do think dense fog like that will get a feller all wet. Belle probably refused to join him, "I can't appear on camera looking like this !"
I'm trying to get Malcolm's signals straight, but it will take day or two. Last night I missed a cue and wound up with a wet bedspread and bedside rug to wash. This morning we've already been out twice ! This is one good reason why I don't have a dog of my own. Condo living does not allow for just turning a dog loose in the back yard !

Lori, in 2004 we couldn't get flu shots---vaccine not available due to manufacturing problems. In Jan. '05 I got the flu---BAD! By Mar. I was still sick so Dr. sent me for an x-ray for pneumonia....and that was when they found it. Small...inoperable due to location. 6 mos. of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation. So far, so good!!

In case you are wondering....I do still have my antenna. I got the converter boxes when the gov't. gave them away two yrs. ago when they went digital. Always need a back-up system when you live in a remote area...storms mess with satellite too often!
Shirley, it was the flu that was making me sick because I had fever, green junk, etc. NO symptoms of the CA...
And yes, if I hadn't had the x-ray because of the flu, the CA would probably not have been found soon enough for successful treatment.
Liesl has become an ice-hound, just like Shang and Cinnamon were! Mai liked them, too, but she didn't BEG for them everytime I used the ice-dispenser!

Luna likes ice cubes too. She grabs any that fall out out on the floor. Kathryn says that too many cubes are not good for a dog, though, so we do not let her have too many.

My daughter vacationing in France called this morning! Their eyes are being filled with all the sights. They love it - Said it
didn't get dark at night until
11 pm - so they just keep sightseeing all day long! Talked with my 17 yr old grandson and he
was having a blast taking it all in so to speak. In his future he will have a worldly opinion of things..
Don't see anything online about ice cubes being a problem, though.
Flash does not like them as much as Luna does, but he will eat them sometimes.

I will probably post grades this afternoon, though. I have two sets of junior grades to finalize. And I have four dual enrollment students whose grades must be reported to Germanna.
They are due by June 18, but they have finished, so I did not have that in my countdown. I had to check my syllabus to see when the grades were due because there are different due dates for every high school.
But you are right when you say I am finished with students. Unless one shows up tomorrow, I will not see any more students.

One of my favorite authors, Lillian Jackson Braun's obituary in today's paper. Much speculation in the past year about her health/death, etc. Sorry there will be no new Cat Who books but she was 97.

Parrots at the store in the tree where everyone sits to smoke there are 100's of parrots and boy are they noisy

And then recalled how lucky I was that Bill loved watched skating as much as I did, and we saw that as well as the year that little Sarah Hughes won! We rejoiced with them all. Sure makes me miss him not living here anymore! Strange that a man who only likes baseball, bowling, football, NASCAR and hunting would like figure skating, huh?!
