BTW---for those who watch Deadliest Catch: Capt. Phil Harris from the Cornelia Marie had a stroke Sunday. Apparently were in port off-loading opilios---is in hospital and doing okay, but don't know extent of damage at this point. Both sons are with him; a friend has taken the boat back out to continue season.
Well, my dear friends of fine feathers and fur, I am going to hit the hay. I would venture to say that we have an egg in the nest but more will be revealed for sure! Good night all!
Sorry, had a couple phone calls after dinner & been working on eagle pics. They are so far away, they are blurry, but I might put them on anyway just to show where they were today. One was a big surprise. I couldn't see anything w/no binoculars, but zoomed as far as I could & saw something~~~~brown sticks??? Is Belle in the nest? I can only see snow on tree.
yes, he had to be taken off the boat, like 2 yrs ago and almost died, got better and went back to drinking and smoking again, was boun d to catch up with him, the poor guy, but such a tough stressful job.
Got the live feed started again. She is still there, her head is to the left, butt on the right. Nite to any heading to sleep, I gotta go back outside to clean off gh for what I hope is the last time tonite. Maintenance dept. is getting grumpy.
Re: Phil. After the blood clot in his lung last year, he probably was still on anticoags, so may have been a bleed. But he sure didn't take care of himself at all; didn't listen to docs.
Tomorrow and Thurs should be warming temps and hopefully we can get a look at the egg cup and then get the nest some new fluff in readiness for the weekend snow.
I read that NBG eagle spent 2 nights in a row in the nest, then had a 1 night break, then spent last TH night in nest & laid egg on Sunday! I can't remember if Belle does something like that, but I thought they started spending the night before laying.
Schools in the Chambersburg and Waynesboro area school districts in Pennsylvania will be operating on two-hour delays Wednesday as a result of the inclement weather, according to the school systems’ Web sites.
Frederick county MD is always the last to announce.......
Oh no, Washington County is always the last to announce...lol... gh swept, I'm heading to bed, another opportunity to shovel snow in the morning light, and I don't wanna miss a second of it.
Can't see much of anything. I can hear the wind some I guess but the snow doesn't seem to be falling near as heavy as it had been. I am so very glad to see that.
Well, I know I posted some innocuous comments earlier but now they aren't there. Anyway, it's still snowing, schools closed tomorrow, can't see a thing in the nest. Always enjoy reading this blog, loved Judie's synopsis last week and her idea of 'As the nest turns" Goodnight and blessings to Belle.
My oldest grandson is doing volunteer work at NCTC in hope that he will be hired when they have an opening. That's probably he running up and down the road plowing and plowing and plowing:):)
Ok well here comes another train. Guess I will say goodnight. Hard to tell at all what is really going on except she is in that nest . Good night everyone.
I have both cams up. The still one does have a better picture, but I still can't see Belle. I tried zooming with the live cam, but I got lost in blackness.
I just got home from school. Got a LOT of transcribing done, so my eyes don't want to focus very well. Golly, is Belle in the nest?! She must feel like Frosty the Snowman, if she is! Do see a bit of a lump at 12:00 on the still cam, though. I think I'm gonna have to send Belle and Lib the nice early Valentine's Day present I got today, along with a VERY LONG extension cord! Hubby got me an electric throw! It's VERY soft and fuzzy, and extremely warm! Just what the eagles need for the nest! Do you think there's an electric plug in the barn below? Hmmmm....
That's more like it! Do you guys think there's an egg yet? Kinda hope not--would be better, I think, if no snow underneath the egg. Nest fluff and no snow would seem warmer.
Belle has been in the nest the majority of the snow storm. Her body heat may have eliminated the snow in the egg cup before and if she did lay the egg.
It's not as cold at night here now, Jo, but this throw is great--only takes a minute or two on 'medium' to get it really nice and warm, and then can turn it down on 'low' to maintain the coziness. Looks like poor Belle could use it right now!
Yes, I stay home tomorrow. It is nice to know the night before. We get a phone call when they decide. A machine gives the information. My house phone and my cell phone ring at the same time. They call everyone--students, parents, teachers, etc.
I have serious doubts that we will be able to see an egg, if there is one, if she gets up tonight. Between darkness and snow, it's just not a good view at all!
I have both cams up/running Can't see a thing - just assuming that Belle is where she was before it got so ungodly dark. Lots and Lots of trains around midnight. Earlier sounds of plow. Last noise I couldn't id... crunchy sound like a step on the frozen snow.
Shirley, It's nice they have an automatic phone dialer to call everyone! When I was living in Utah for a couple of years as a kid, people had to do the calling--but the kids just had to listen to the radio to find out. FYI--did you know that at that time in Salt Lake City, there were only TWO television stations?! Imagine that!
Jo, I'm sure she's still there---I still see the black blob! Good night, dear lady! Oh---all of the train and plow sounds are highly amplified when there's snow and heavy cloud cover!
Well, Gang, I think I'm gonna hit the dusty trail to dreamland. It was a l-o-n-g night at school, and my eyes are tired. The night light is reflecting nicely off the snow in the nest, the porch light is automatic, and the eye scanner is, as always, enabled. Prayers said for everyone, especially our eagles, and for Megan, in the hopes she won't have to do gh maintenance again tonight. Sleep well, you guys, and I'll talk to you when it's daylight. Nighty night! Love all of you! :o]
Think I saw feetsies for a moment...and it looks like there may be something reddish in front of her. Saw movement, so maybe she was eating....just too dark to tell.
This is very hard on the eyes. If only the egg cup were a little closer in! Looks like Belle is well settled again. So....I'm going to call it a night! Prayers and peace.
Woke up to turn off 'puter & can't really see nest very well. Snow on tree branch is getting all the night light. Night All. Hope your getting Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

Awww, bless you eagle!
I heard that sneeze
ANd again
And again!
Goodnight, everyone.
She's still in the nest....just shook snow off her head.
She's talking
little squeaks!
and a little chirp-chirp, and sounds like a burp in there too
I can sorta see her on the feed,
Looking straight at cam as if it's our fault that it's snowing!!
Wonder what that noise is? Sounds like birds chirping. It kind of looks like she is tenting a little bit now.
SHe looks spread out more, her wings out.
wonder if they make sounds when they are pushing an egg out....sorry but the train in the background sounds so pretty....had to say the "t" word
Lord I hope she's not laying an egg
look at her on the still cam, looks like laying or tenting
Sure seems like something was going on.
she seems more in a laying down position now, should be nice and toasty under her.
Live cam is useless view---but still cam is pretty good!
yeah never thought I would say still is good:)
Who'da thunk it? Who dat?
That's gonna cost you, Megan:)
Still see her on the still cam
In fact see her real well
I have 4 1/2 inches out on the deck
yeah who dat:), the NO fans will have fun win or lose this Sunday, great bunch of fans, really have waited a long time for this
beaking into snow a little
I Think there is an egg in there!
I hope she doesn't turn her back side to us - Won't be able to tell she is even there........
well from the sounds of all that chatter, would not be surprised to see an egg in the a.m.
I agree, I think that she was laying an egg.
I meant to send you that email, Lynn, got the news today....
I know it is the use of broadband
BUT clicking that back on after each 10 min 30 sec is NERVE RACKING and
it Twitches My Mind!
is someone doing wheelies in the parking lot?
What drives me nuts is after so many restarts, it won't start anymore and I have to refresh the page and go thru the commercial again.
I think we only have about 2 inches on the deck, but the snow is the pretty kind, yard looks beautiful
She just shook off again.
Big shakeoff
and a chirp!
Yepper! She sneezed that egg right out
I need to invest into a new pair of speakers because with my hearing I only get the hummmmmming sound most of the time.
What was that I just heard?
peep and big shake off I guess
We have at least 5" here, looks like we are almost out of the heavy snow.
She seems alert and not interested in sleeping....
Looks like she is standing up.
Well, my dear friends of fine feathers and fur, I am going to hit the hay. I would venture to say that we have an egg in the nest but more will be revealed for sure! Good night all!
About 4" here...might be tapering off.
sure is noisy there tonight, that is the same sound of a vehicle I heard at 5 on Monday morning, must be trying to keep ahead of the snow
Good night Sharon
Good night Sharon..
sounds like all of you to the north and west are getting more of this snow
I don't know if it was a plow or a snowmobile.
sounds like both....
Nite Sharon...if there is an egg, it will still be there in the morning:)
Lynn, the work is so hard and nerve wracking bringing in those crabs...a stroke was inevitable:(
The guy smoked like a chimney too.
Lost the live feed.
I saw Belle's feet - then she must have turned a little to her right..
I can't really see her white head now
yes, he had to be taken off the boat, like 2 yrs ago and almost died, got better and went back to drinking and smoking again, was boun d to catch up with him, the poor guy, but such a tough stressful job.
Hopefully the snow has stopped and doesn't start up again.
Megan/Mits - what does the storm pattern look like to you..
Got the live feed started again. She is still there, her head is to the left, butt on the right.
Nite to any heading to sleep, I gotta go back outside to clean off gh for what I hope is the last time tonite. Maintenance dept. is getting grumpy.
Live feed is back
Yes, Loretta, belle is in the nest. She may have laid an egg
I still have it, but all you can see is the snow on the trunk of the tree building up..
Put on st6ill cam. Is that a bird at 12 O'clock?
Same here Megan Live Feed Lost
No more sounds........
Radar shows us out of heavy snow, storm is almost past.
Thx Paula. You answered my ????
Re: Phil. After the blood clot in his lung last year, he probably was still on anticoags, so may have been a bleed. But he sure didn't take care of himself at all; didn't listen to docs.
Refresh, Jo. My live feed came back on. I'm heading outside.
Thanks Megan
Yes NN that's her..... sorta sitting with her left side towards us. She had
just moved a moment ago. You had been able to see her white head.
Good night, Sharon! Tell T-bird hi and bye, too!
yes, radar shows some heavy bands up near Sheps, but looks like it will be ending soon....my radar shows moderate precip heading south to north
got to wonder how many cartons of cigarettes do they pack on that boat???
Yep, Loretta, she's at noonish position.
got her head in her back like she is trying to sleep
My gut feeling is that we have an egg
Tomorrow and Thurs should be warming temps and hopefully we can get a look at the egg cup and then get the nest some new fluff in readiness for the weekend snow.
I read that NBG eagle spent 2 nights in a row in the nest, then had a 1 night break, then spent last TH night in nest & laid egg on Sunday! I can't remember if Belle does something like that, but I thought they started spending the night before laying.
Another shake off
I can see her head real well now on Still cam.
Guess we'll find out in the morning....
I can't see her head at all, just a dark brown blob
It changed. Never mind! ☺
Gotta watch news & see how inaccurate weather report is!
When moose cam stopped Alfalfa was on.
OK I am the 11pm - 1am Belle watch.
I have both cams up! If I can't see it
perhaps I can hear it.........
Schools in the Chambersburg and Waynesboro area school districts in Pennsylvania will be operating on two-hour delays Wednesday as a result of the inclement weather, according to the school systems’ Web sites.
Frederick county MD is always the last to announce.......
Everyone make a mental note that it would be great if we could get Buddy
to the NCTC Open House this October..
Don't lose that thought!
It is as dark as the Ace of Spades on those cams at the nest.
Our schools have already announced closure. Can hear the grands hooping from 15 miles away! LOL!
Oh no, Washington County is always the last to announce...lol...
gh swept, I'm heading to bed, another opportunity to shovel snow in the morning light, and I don't wanna miss a second of it.
Who dat?
You sound like a Saint!
Wedding could be in May
WHoo Hoo for the pretty peonies
Good Night Megan
I will yell (record) when and if I see
her white head raising up!
Well, wouldn't you know it...just as things were getting good! almost a blackout:(
Jo, do you have a little different Avatar? Or maybe I have been staring at this screen too long!
I am heading to bed, guess we'll see what the morning light brings.
Hugs to all ♥
Going to take my bath. BBL. I'll take the 1-2 shift, Jo.
Goodnight to anyone turning in! Hope we see an lovely egg in the daylight!
So, you think there could possibly be an egg. I sure hope not. An egg sitting on snow....brrrrrr! Not good!
Can not make out anything on the live cam. Can see her dark body on the still cam....just barely.
Can't see much of anything. I can hear the wind some I guess but the snow doesn't seem to be falling near as heavy as it had been. I am so very glad to see that.
2 months from now there will be no snow:)
no way of knowing Lolly, till, just speculation on some of her earlier actions and vocalization
till the a.m., should have been in last post
Plowing away
Jo, you were lucky #500
Wanda go and rest your eyes.
Same Sycamore Palace avatar as always
I know Mits
I wonder if a get a prize... lol
think we are all out of prizes:(
Well, I know I posted some innocuous comments earlier but now they aren't there. Anyway, it's still snowing, schools closed tomorrow, can't see a thing in the nest. Always enjoy reading this blog, loved Judie's synopsis last week and her idea of 'As the nest turns" Goodnight and blessings to Belle.
Did another tray of slides tonight. Have done 8 now. Almost 1/4 through. Sitting here now in front of the fire. Wish my chair was closer...I'm cold!
goodnight Sandra:)
If there are classes at NCTC - they need the roads in and about the campus cleared. Guess that is why there are working late with the plows.
Good Night Sandra. Belle is in the nest unforeseen. lol
Could be also for the day care facility traffic as to why they are plowing.
yep, that is true, plus for the employees too.
Good Night dear Sandra...sleep well:)
My oldest grandson is doing volunteer work at NCTC in hope that he will be hired when they have an opening. That's probably he running up and down the road plowing and plowing and plowing:):)
it is just pitch dark there tonight....
Well I guess the snow has hit. Even blocking the view of the cam :(
Wanda is it Denise's son
just saw a Radio Shack commercial, it has 2 eagles talking on cell phones to each other, and they start singing, really cute.
It would be so ironical if staring at that black glob looking for a white head to arise - what if she flew up on the branch with Liberty
If I could just see a set of glowing eyes..........
I haven't seen that one yet.. Did the eagles look real?
yes, they did, first time I have seen this one.
Norfolk nest, looks like the female is asleep on the egg.
T R A I N
Whoo Hoo I heard the choo choo whistle
now you have done it, she will probably wake up:), watching Montgomery county traffic cams, wonder where the plows are?
Delphia - I have nest watch 11pm to 1am
Keeping an eye on the black blob at
the noonish position.
Hope I see her eyes soon.
Train whistle again....
Loud and Clear......
Is she sneezing? What is that noise?
There has been lots of train traffic
More trains then tracks!
can tell from still feed that she is moving aorund some . Ooops head back down as I typed this.
I have only heard those trains. And
also the plowing of snow... haven't heard that for awhile.
don't think I have ever heard as many trains as today
Glo do you agree that her head is to the left and her tail is to the left.
Sharon is going to wake up.......
Ok well here comes another train. Guess I will say goodnight. Hard to tell at all what is really going on except she is in that nest . Good night everyone.
Yes I do think her head is to the left
Night Glo
LOL Jo, read your comment at 12:12. Do you really think she is bent in half?
wish we could knock that snow off from in front of our cam :(
Hello,
I got back up and came downstairs. Heard the train a few minutes ago. I don't see how you can even tell she is there.
You have to look at the still cam to tell she is there.
Just heard the train.
Oh Lolly I'm not such a good midnight bird watcher...... More importantly Glo did agree with half of what I said!
lol
These trains are unnerving me I guess
I have both cams up. The still one does have a better picture, but I still can't see Belle. I tried zooming with the live cam, but I got lost in blackness.
Getting tired, I bet, Jo.
It doesn't look like it is still snowing there.
All you can really see is all the snow on the limb below the cam.
I keep hoping to see a set of
shiny eyes............
She is really hard to make out, Shirley.
Okay, I am going to go bathe. Will be back to tell you, good night Jo.
Snow seems to have stopped.
I usually stay up til 1am
But I'm not usually staring at a black screen.
I think my eyes are tired more so than me.
On our cam, live or still, the snow is really all I can make out. Is she at 11 o clock in the nest?
Hi, Ladies!
Hmmmm....
Just lost my still feed
Going to try to get it back
Hi, Jo~~
Oh, drat! I just lost the still cam, too!
Delphia when Belle was visible she was at the 12ish position
She was not in the night light but just
outside of it in the nest.
I am getting a page load error in trying to get my still cam up.....
I got the still cam back.
Andy - I got my still cam up just now
Try yours
Can't seem to get connected to the still cam now. Oh, wait--there it is! Had to refresh my live cam, too. Now have both of them--phew!
Your heated throw sounds so comfy!
well i'm off to bed. hope to see something tomorrow.
We have had snow, rain, sleet, freezing rain here.
I would be happy to just see one of her feetsies.
That's more like it! Do you guys think there's an egg yet? Kinda hope not--would be better, I think, if no snow underneath the egg. Nest fluff and no snow would seem warmer.
Oh, Mema Jo, you would LOVE it! It heats up really quickly, and it's roasty toasty!
Belle has been in the nest the majority of the snow storm. Her body heat may have eliminated the snow in the egg cup before and if she did lay the egg.
I'm here, Jo, if you want to go ahead and call it a day. GOod night to any turning in!
Boy, oh boy, you guys are sure getting some nasty weather back there tonight! How's Megan's greenhouse doing? (!) Yikes!
Head was up for a few......
I just hope you don't need it too often, Andy.
Don't know what that noise was.........
Shirley,
Do you get to stay home tomorrow? Kinda hope so. Hope Judie can, too!
12:49am Crunchy sound from Live Feed
Can't think of what it is
Nothing visible on still cam
I really hoped it was a 'shake off'
12:52am Same noise
It's not as cold at night here now, Jo, but this throw is great--only takes a minute or two on 'medium' to get it really nice and warm, and then can turn it down on 'low' to maintain the coziness. Looks like poor Belle could use it right now!
Think Megan has had to clean off GH 3 times, Andy. But snow has stopped now here, so probably so at her place, too.
I'll borrow your throw!!!
Yes, I stay home tomorrow. It is nice to know the night before. We get a phone call when they decide. A machine gives the information. My house phone and my cell phone ring at the same time. They call everyone--students, parents, teachers, etc.
Night Ladies! Night Belle!
See you in the morning!
Andy...Fed Ex the throw.....fast! I am sure there is an outlet in one of the barns below.
(((HUGS)))) for all!
I have to go back to bed. See you later.
I have serious doubts that we will be able to see an egg, if there is one, if she gets up tonight. Between darkness and snow, it's just not a good view at all!
Hi Lynn
Night Lolly
I have both cams up/running
Can't see a thing - just assuming that
Belle is where she was before it got so ungodly dark.
Lots and Lots of trains around midnight. Earlier sounds of plow.
Last noise I couldn't id... crunchy
sound like a step on the frozen snow.
Night Shirley - rest well.
Lolly, I think Hubby ordered the throw from HSN--maybe we should order one for the nest! It will take a REALLY LONG extension cord, though!
Night, Shirley and Lolly.
Andy, don't think Judie has classes tomorrow. Tues & Thurs are her normal dyas, I think.
Hedgie I agree with you that it will be too dark until the morning light comes. I guess I was just hoping to see that she was still there.
I don't really think anymore watch needs to be done - Just need some early birds
Do what you please but I would tell you to go on to bed like I am.
Some of these sounds are weird.
You know Spooky.
With that said..........
'Night, Shirley! Sleep tight!
Headed down the hallway
Good Night All
Prayers for everyone's needs
((hugs)) ♥ ♥ ♥
Shirley,
It's nice they have an automatic phone dialer to call everyone! When I was living in Utah for a couple of years as a kid, people had to do the calling--but the kids just had to listen to the radio to find out. FYI--did you know that at that time in Salt Lake City, there were only TWO television stations?!
Imagine that!
G'night, Jo! If we weren't so many miles apart, I'd loan you my throw!
You still there, Lynn? You could borrow it, too.
Oops--have a couple of perscription meds to take. Be right back!
Say, did I just hear an eagle? Have the sound on the live cam turned way up. Wonder if Lib is up on a tree branch.
Jo, I'm sure she's still there---I still see the black blob! Good night, dear lady! Oh---all of the train and plow sounds are highly amplified when there's snow and heavy cloud cover!
Well, Gang,
I think I'm gonna hit the dusty trail to dreamland. It was a
l-o-n-g night at school, and my eyes are tired. :o]
Live cam is totally black beyond the snowy limb....and it freezes every 1012 seconds......sticking to pop-up.
Good night, Andy. Love u, 2!!
Darn...pretty sure I still see her in the nest.
Woke up to turn off 'puter & can't really see nest very well. Snow on tree branch is getting all the night light.
Night All. Hope your getting Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
you're
I'm up and I need to read backwards
hello anyone on right now
but I do know Belle is probably in the nest and maybe there was an egg delivery before midnight...
and we're gonna split again soon
and I can't see anything much either except black and white and I hear the snowplowing, hello Brandon if that is YOU (Wanda's grandson)
I'm up....
It does look like she is still there on my still cam...
which just blacked out
