Have been watching Fiesta Bowl. 1/2 time, so checked EENet and only cam w/light is the 8 little piggies on the Wild Boar of West-Viru Co. cam. And I did see something silvery blow out of a tree!!
OMG, Sharon, are you coughing THAT bad???? I know if feels as if you are coming apart....and you truly could pop another hernia, so hold that pilloow tight!!!
Thanks, Jo, for that bowl info! There is very little about college sports that I follow---nasically just basketball!
So nice of Dianne to post that. WOnder if they have sold the house yet? Not a very good time to go, weather-wise! BTW-- Pam will be sending me the calendars and then I'll mail out/distribute. She says that having them made is her tribute to Deb and she will not take any money for them! Sweet lady. She is a pharmacist, btw.
Actually not on the edge, lol, huddled under my lap blanket. This game is too close for comfort.
TCU girls win on looks. lol Having fun looking for Bri, one of my former kindergarteners. She is a TCU Show Girl. Have gotten a glimpse of her a couple of times. Know several folks at the game but have not seen them.
Good for Sharon for getting medicines, I have had bronchitis MANY TIMES and good meds kicks it pretty fast, wonder what her voice sounds like, if she even has a voice
Sounds like a great job and a great workplace for Lynne, hope she lands this job, and glad that Daisy is doing some nibbling, not about the Christmas tree lights, but the people and doggie food
*%^#@*& Just dozed off and some silvery thing flew by my window and woke me up! Sheesh!
Lynn, leg and foot about the same as last week. Swollen and reddish pink. Improved but somehow I think that after almost three weeks, swelling would be gone BUT I guess doctors know best.
Shirley, I think you are just soooo mean and unfair! Taking points off because your student doesn't know as much as you is just totally unreasonable. She ain't seen nothin' yet -- can't wait for her to get to college. How's George?
Okay, I'm off to try to sleep again. Tomorrow is a day for serious prep for next Tuesday. I DON'T WANT TO GO!!!
naturalist friend in NY (Ashville, not far from Erie Pa) got TWO FEET of snow over the week-end, he went ice fishing and got lots of yellow perch and walleyes... He is definitely an outdoorsman ! And, a great naturalist
P.S. Margy, stove itself doesn't have a fan! We put a vent in the living room floor over the "stove room" and mounted a fan under the vent---that forces the heat up and disperses it better. Bye!
Sounds like Deb's family, has the same generous and kind spirit as Deb had.... that is really special what Pam is going to do, thanks Jo, and Lynn for the info, and to Paula for jogging my manners back into place
Yep, we were here for you Lolly... and tomorrow night for Jack's team did you say? What game again, so I can use my television again ☺ (something I don't do a whole lot...)
Hi, Eagle Gang, I've made it home from school OK, and a bit earlier than usual! The class I had tonight is Medical Transcription Research. All about how to use medical dictionaries, medical phrase books, online resources, pharmaceutical reference books, English dictionaries, etc. when doing Medical Transcription. Very interesting! Not too time consuming yet, but a short research paper on a medical condition or disease is due week 6--not unreasonable. Shirley, had to LMBO about your student! You are a gem for handling the situation so nicely! College may indeed be a rude awakening for her. Please say hello to George for me. Have he and the squirrel declared a truce yet? Lynne, hope Daisy is eating a little. Mighty glad she didn't light up her life! Praying that you'll get the job! Sounds GREAT! Judie, sorry that silvery UFO woke you up! Glad your leg is gradually improving--I'm sure it's not going as quickly as we'd all like, though. What's next Tuesday? Another Dr. appt.? Will sure be praying for that situation! (((HUGS)))~~I hate going to the doctor, too! Sharon, hang on tightly to that pillow! A few years ago, my Son-in-law cracked a rib he coughed so hard with pneumonia! Be careful! Lolly & Jack, I didn't get to see the game. Sounds like your team made a valiant effort, though! Must've been something to see! Well, my caboose is beginning to drag. Think I'd better say goodnight before I do a face plant on the keyboard! Prayers being said for everyone. The night light seems to be on OK in the nest, even with the pesky lines. The porch light is on, and the eye scanner is enabled. Late visitors, please be careful not to let the silvery, sparkly UFO get in and wake Judie! Maybe it'll head to Baltimore. Sweet eagle dreams, everyone! Sleep tight, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Good night! :o]
The evening got away from me. Watched CoCo Chanel. It was a love story, just a bit sordid, but it kept my interest (Gene's too) all the way to the end. I'm assuming it was true. Sorry, Lolly for your loss. Hopefully Jack's Ramblin Wrecks will beat the #$*& out of their opponents!
You're right, Wanda! I think they'd be crazy if they don't hire Lynne! Drat--my last posting went to blog limbo. Wanted to say, hope you sleep well, Margy! Don't know HOW you manage with the crazy schedule you gotta keep! God bless! :o]
Good morning everyone. Hope you got some rest last night Sharon. Today that medicine will have much more chance to kick in and do its job. Still so bitter cold here. No real end in site unless we count the low teens for wed night thru fri with like 5 inches of snow and blowing snow....hmmm. That doesn't sound like much of a break. Oh well of to Drivers License facility today. Renewal time is quickly approaching and with the weather the way it is I guess I will take the road conditions today to get over there. Its about half hour from my house. not bad but used to be 5 mins till they moved.

I need to get that live feed link again, for the other Finland nest, Helen... also, the Maggie's Mounties link... when you have time...unless I can just use the one from last year please and thanks...
will send you both when I get a chance Margy....been taking Christmas decorations down little by little, but always keep the tree and all my creches up till after the "real" feast of the Epiphany:)
I agree with that timing, Helen....there is time, and if I started to watch that other live Finland nest, I would not get much else done right now anyway, and the other link, still time for that one too. I play Handel's Messiah into February.... and will take my little decorations down slowly also. Have a great day !
Good morning everybody. I am still alive and kicking. My stomach feels like razor blades are cutting through it every time I cough but other than that, not feeling too bad! :)
Good morning! 28 and bright sun shine! However, the arctic front reaches here soon. Not supposed to get out of the 20's all day Thursday and we are headed to the single digits. Jack does not think our little green house can be kept warm, so a big job ahead. Moving plants to his shop where it is heated and insulated...just not much light. Oh well!
Going to do some more un-decorating today.
Sharon, glad you are still with us. Know the pain you feel when you cough...oh that hurts!
That would be nice of me to change my avatar for Jack, now wouldn't it. Will have to check into that.
Yeah, sorry, I've been watching Maine all morning. The best action around right now, they've been there all morning. The other cam, I can't watch it, hurts my head.
Know what you mean, Sissy...it is very discouraging, especially considering the fact that there was nothing wrong with what we had before!
Anyone else have strange sounds coming form Maine?? It almost sounds like music combined with radio squawk, if you get my drift.....
Sharon, those pains you have are probably little adhesions tearing! I get that mostly if I cough when I'm reclining in chair or tub! Draw your knees up and that helps.
Oops...GOOD MORNING!!! Very gloomy here today---flurries predicted...and still TOO cold!
Have seen from very strange activity this AM. Titmouse grabbing cobwebs from corners under deck; wren climbing around in between logs of woodpile 2 ft. away from me, a chickadee clinging to the side of a downspout, and a thrush pecking at dog poop! Wonder what they are all doing???? This was all at the same time!
talked to my friend for 2 hours down in Ft. Lauderdale this a.m., she was not going out for her walk, it was 44° there...I said send that heat this way:)
Goodness, Helen, you must have a cauliflower ear!!!!
Joe Bugle (Redskin line coach for 32 yrs.) has announced his retirement. Too bad---he was really the only consistent thing the team has had for a long time. And he wasn't the problem!
Nice article about the apes at the NZ on their home page. Kibibi will be a year old on Sunday and they say that the keepers try to make the holidays fun for the apes. When it snowed they brought in snow and the apes played with it. They got stockings for Christmas with treats in them. Kibibi did not like the cranberries but liked the cereal.
mEMA JO, I have wondered what it is too. In fact there was a similar thing at 2 o'clock for a couple of days.
When you told us to look this time, I can see plucked feathers at 12 o'clock; so I am reinforced in my belief that the big, black item is an uneaten part of a bird.
Did you all note that the Chargers have been 'coming on like gangbusters' for the final weeks of the season. Managed to win against the Redskins with much of their first string on the bench.
Don't be surprised to see them in the last games of the playoffs this year. I'd like to see them win the Super Bowl, but I can't predict anything that far ahead.

Loretta's new pics are great, and Shirley's Eagle picture, well the eagle part of it, was great too.
Nice to hear her new school stories. What a cracker jack teacher she is....
Hedgie, near catastrophe is right!
Glad you were there, good thing men wear belts! And is your woodstove fan working too ?

Week of weather doesn't look too bad - I just want to be able to get my hair cut this Friday! I look like a shaggy dog!
I am going to say goodnight, dear friends. See you tomorrow. Sure hope I don't dream about flying garland!!!
Peace and prayers.
Lolly - go Frogs! Which eagle was flying at the game? did they say?
Shirley - I would have LOL at that comment!
Diann - love the avatar!
Jo = thanks for the post from Dianne. I missed that.
Oh Wow, Lynn, that is really sweet of Pam.
oh that would have been a nice reception....
P.S. Margy, stove itself doesn't have a fan! We put a vent in the living room floor over the "stove room" and mounted a fan under the vent---that forces the heat up and disperses it better. Bye!
Sounds like Deb's family, has the same generous and kind spirit as Deb had....
that is really special what Pam is going to do, thanks Jo, and Lynn for the info, and to Paula for jogging my manners back into place
a fumble would be nice in this game for TCU to get the ball back....
expensive penalty for Boise State
what a quarterback for TCU !
:(
Too little time! :<(
Yeah, they sure gave it a good try....a great try....
sorry Lolly and Jack, but you can be very proud of your team !

So sad!!!! Boise State out played us.
Paula, did not catch the name of the eagle. Caught just 'bald eagle federation. They really did not show it flying very long.
Again, thanks for pulling for TCU. Hey, at least you all know about TCU now. We will be back next year. We beat Boise state in a bowl game last year.
Yep, we were here for you Lolly...

It is so peaceful and calm there this morning, I love that one too!

I agree with that timing, Helen....there is time, and if I started to watch that other live Finland nest, I would not get much else done right now anyway, and the other link, still time for that one too.
I play Handel's Messiah into February....
and will take my little decorations down slowly also.
Have a great day !
Thank you very much.

Good morning! 28 and bright sun shine! However, the arctic front reaches here soon. Not supposed to get out of the 20's all day Thursday and we are headed to the single digits. Missed the visit!
Hope that those under the weather are feeling a little better today!
Sorry about your frogs, Lolly!
Just for today, for Jack and the GA Tech yellow jackets....I have changed my avatar.

And nestorations happening at Maine
Both eagles in Maine nest now.
Good Morning Jim, Lolly, Paula, and Mema Jo...Megan Again, Shirley and Sharon and others before and maybe soon to visit...
Lolly - it's right cold in Georgia!
You might have to put a REAL jacket on that yellow jacket.
Headed out, going to check out Swinging Bridge after I drop off all my bill payments...
might find some frozen water there, but hopefully, some birds!
xoxo ☺ ♥
really busy up in Maine
Isn't it great? Seemed to be a 'discussion' going on over the placement of that stick.
Well, cam is a real mess now so maybe they are working on it!
thought someone was going to get the stick, smacked across their beak
reminds me of my husband and myself, sometimes hard to work together:)
Oh yeah, and they just can't seem to agree where it should be. Looked like one nipped the tail of the other.
That is so cool. Are they working on the same stick or two separate ones now? Sometimes men just won't do what you tell them!!!
BTW, Morning again everyone!!
Two different sticks, and they keep switching and 'fixing' the other stick
she is not going to like that stick, sticking up
Although now it looks like they are working on the same stick.
I'm watching while the watching is good.........
Female on the right?
Eagle in our nest!! I would sure love to see a live feed! I am about to give up hope for it though.
Girl on the branch right, boy in the nest?
Did they poof ?
I think so, but who knows? Half blue screen now.
I got 1 pic to prove they were there.
think the female just flew off, and the male still working on the stick
Well, pooh! Now I can't get the Maine cam up. I am just not having much luck eagle watching today!!!
And back at it they go. That stick is still sticking straight up in the air.
There, at least Maine is back!
now both back working on sticks, male threw some fluff at her
Mits - I can see an MT nest. I thought they both went Poof.
Sorry I think you and Megan are watching Maine.....
Yeah, sorry, I've been watching Maine all morning. The best action around right now, they've been there all morning. The other cam, I can't watch it, hurts my head.
yes Jo, we are watching Maine
I am watching both and PANDAS GALORE!!!!
I need to watch something that actually works, and Maine and Sidney and Hornby, are ones I usually have up all the time
Know what you mean, Sissy...it is very discouraging, especially considering the fact that there was nothing wrong with what we had before!
Is anyone watching SD pandas? Is the baby in a tree?
think it is like radio waves, Lynn, sound isn't that great but can really hear the eagles when they call out to each other.
Lolly, sorry about those Frogs....better luck next year. Hope Jacks' team is successful today!
Morning all. Almost afternoon. Wow look at the Maine nest. Beautiful eagle. Clear picture.
talked to my friend for 2 hours down in Ft. Lauderdale this a.m., she was not going out for her walk, it was 44° there...I said send that heat this way:)
Lynn it is bright sunshine here but cold.
Sharon hope you feel better soon.
Poof eagle at Maine
probably off to get lunch, they really were working hard this a.m.
BBL Have a great day
wow that year went fast....
Mei is dancing a jig, wanting out that door!!
That's funny, Mits! You would think the cranberries would be a hit!! But then, they aren't terribly sweet, so maybe sour didn't appeal!!
Volcano threatening some apes someplace in Africa, but can't remember where they said. An area where people aren't.....will need to check it out....
Eagle in nest at BWE
Sissy when I went to SD zoo all I saw was Mommy bear eating bamboo
ZZ was just in close up at SD, Mema Jo. Take a quick peek.

Jim
Would someone look in the BWE nest and tell me what you think you are seeing at the 10 or 11:00 position? Thanks.
I'm a little late Jim BUT ZZ is still there. Really acting all grown up!
I certainly can not tell, Jo. Maybe a large leaf?
I read where Diego's, aka Yun Zi’s public debut is set for Thursday, January 7
I hope he puts on a good show for all the visitors..
Second look at BWE....a bird?
Lolly It hasn't moved so I guess it is something like that. At first I thought it was that squirrel.... lol
Congratulations to your TCU team for being at the Fiesta Bowl. I was rooting
for you all the way. Undefeated all season is a really good record!
mEMA JO, I have wondered what it is too. In fact there was a similar thing at 2 o'clock for a couple of days.
When you told us to look this time, I can see plucked feathers at 12 o'clock; so I am reinforced in my belief that the big, black item is an uneaten part of a bird.

Jim
Thanks, JO. Yes, it was quite an accomplishment for TCU to play in a bcs bowl. TCU is not a large school. It is a very expensive small private school.
Yes, Jim & Loly - I think we'll call it a bird or a partial bird. Guess we'll know after the next meal!
This is the only link I can find, and it's dated Sun. I am sure what I heard this morning was that the gorillas are in danger now.
Volcano threatening
Snowing up in the PA woods.
Guess it will eventually get here.
WOW - on USeeWildlife it is viewing the wooded area with all the deer.
That is my favorite scene.
Lynn it is sad that they know it is happening and they don't have anyway of
saving the gorillas.
At BWE - that looks like the bird that was at the 1-2 position yesterday
BWE is the leftovers of what they were eating on Sunday.

Jim
I agree, Paula, even tho' I couldn't make out what it was when Dana first asked yesterday!
Long camera shot, but Bai and Diego are cavorting in the outdoors again.
