Did you just hear the rumor that they are going to fire Jim Zorn tomorrow?

paula eagleholic said...

Lolly - How cool for Joseph and Daddy!

Lynne - did they tell you what kind of food she was eating? Maybe you can call them? She sounds like a great dog!

My Boo was outside for a couple of hours in that cold....couldn't get him to come in...now he is finally curled up in a tiny ball snoozing on my bed :)

I remember when some boys wore the same jacket every day, all day. Occasionally, one still does, but now it is more likely to see them in shorts with no jacket. I do have to wonder if it is because they can't afford a jacket, but I do not know. I know the flip-flop thing is a choice.

stronghunter said...

Just heard the rumor about Zorn on Ch. 5, Paula. I hope he has something good on a back burner.

stronghunter said...

Nice avatar, Paula. Appropriate.

Lolly said...

lol Shirley, I saw the same thing the other day. I was walking into Target and there was a young couple. She had on a coat with the hood up, he had on shorts, sleeveless shirt and flip flops. Someone else asked if he wasn't cold. He replied he was a little cool. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

stronghunter said...

Some of them are the ones who walk into my classroom and say "It'shotinhere."

T-Bird said...

When I went to Walmart I also saw a couple in shorts and short sleeves.

Costume Lady said...

Hey, Thelma...glad you are feeling better:)
What does Buddy think of all this snow and cold weather?

T-Bird said...

Go SKINS.

T-Bird said...

Go Ravens.

Costume Lady said...

I love hearing your stories about your pets:)
LYNNE, I have some BBQ rib bones that I would love to give to Daisy...bet she would love them. I know chicken bones are not good for dogs, don't know about rib bones. They seem soft and not splintery. Maybe if you pretend you are eating some of her food, she will want some too;)

Costume Lady said...

Really missing Dustin. Gene had to build the fire this evening. Dustin brought in the wood and started the fire nearly every evening that he was here. He is a fun kid with a great sense of humor. He has one BIG fault...he hogs my 'puter:)

T-Bird said...

Wanda, Buddy likes the snow when it is coming down and nice and pretty. He really liked that big snow we had before xmas. He got loose, scared me to death. He gets his tail in and out as quickly as possible with the cold weather we've had recently.

T-Bird said...

It's almost been a fact that Zorn is going to lose his job at the end of the season. Snyder took away his right play call about 6 games ago. It was thought he was going to be fired then.

paula eagleholic said...

We used to have a truck driver at work who wore shorts all year long. Not me!

DIL wears flip flops all winter. Don't know how she does it, my feet are the first thing to get cold!

paula eagleholic said...

Skins better watch they don't give the game away

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Good evening Eagle buds!! Me and Tom are sitting here watching Matewan. It was made back in 1987 but I don't think I ever saw it. It is really interesting what people went through back in the 20s trying to earn a living.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

BTW, how is everyone this evening?

stronghunter said...

Sitting by the fire here. I have been buying those fire

stronghunter said...

place logs at the store. Really should order some wood.

stronghunter said...

Yes, my parents could have told you about the Great Depression.

Mema Jo said...

Wow these 2 games are really going strong... Ravens and Redskins are both up and it's the 4th qtr. I hope they both can hold the lead.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I am really surprised Tom isn't watching football this evening.

Costume Lady said...

I guess all dogs and cats know when to come in, they are no dummies. Now, why Paula's dog stayed out so long, I have no clue, except that he may have some Eskimo Husky in his lineage:)

T-Bird said...

Yea, you sure are right Paula.

stronghunter said...

35 seconds left and SD just went ahead. Here we go again.

Lolly said...

Woooopeeee!!!! Cowboys shut them out. Hey Normaaaaaaa!!!!!

T-Bird said...

Hats off to the Chargers.

Lolly said...

And, now tomorrow the BIG game.....TCU!!!!!

Mema Jo said...

Ravens came out the winner !

T-Bird said...

I hear you Lolly, yeah Ravens.

Mema Jo said...

Thelma - those 3 points caused a lot of heart breaks!

Mema Jo said...

Most of this afternoon we were having a visit from our gd and fiancee'
They are busy making plans for the upcoming wedding - including the date! It was OCT but that is her busiest month at school. They'll work it all out. They are both very conservative and even with $$ from both sides of the family they are looking for ways to cut wedding cost so that they can make it to HI for the honeymoon.

Mema Jo said...

BBILW

paula eagleholic said...

Yay for the Ravens!

Lynne2 said...

I am not happy about the Raven game. HOWEVER, the Steelers, IMHO, don't really deserve a playoff bid. Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

Paula, I think Goldens are immune to cold! Many years ago, before I could have my own dog, friend of mine had a Golden and I'd take up to the watershed for a walk and swim. She'd get in when it was cold, and she find rocks under water to stand on and jump in, and she'd whack her front paws out in front of her and splash and bite at the water. I'd always take a trash bag and clean up the trash around the shore while she played and I would have to pretend to be leaving without her to get her out of the water!

They did tell me Daisy was eating Purina so that is what I got. I'm sure she'll eat in no time.

Wanda, I am sure you miss Dustin and he probably misses being there...I hated leaving to go home from my grandparents! And Daisy would probably love rib bones, but I am too afraid (after all of the things I saw being surgically removed from the intestines of dogs and cats in the vet business) that a splinter of bone would get lodged. (and I did pretend to eat some of her food but no luck.)

Thelma, along those lines...we once had a basset who had a WHOLE ENTIRE CORN COB lodged in his intestine!

Lynn...I watch Brothers and Sisters too! I love it, my favorite show! I'm sorry to hear that you have lost another friend :(

stronghunter said...

Bassets gulp things down whole. I can see one eating a corn cob.

paula eagleholic said...

Hey Lynne, your owl is flying for me!

Boo loves the outside and will stay outside for hours! Nugz likes it inside! They both love to swim :)

Costume Lady said...

Lynne, I knew of a Doberman that ate a good part of a rug, but I can't remember if it had to be surgically removed or if he eventually passed it. Dumb dog!

stronghunter said...

But cats get into trouble, too. Kathryn's kitty, Lucky, swallowed string, and it went all through his intestines. He was sick and throwing up, and Kathryn looked into his mouth and saw the string wrapped around his tougue. He swallowed it before she could do anything, but that was just one end anyway.

The doctor made a good save on that one.

Lynne2 said...

oooo you can see it flying?? I wonder why I can't?

Costume Lady said...

I don't see it flying either, Lynne. I think Paula has stayed out in the cold too long;)

stronghunter said...

It is flying for me!

Costume Lady said...

Oh! I do beg your pardon, PAULA..IT IS FLYING!
Forgive me!:)

magpie said...

Well Lynne I saw it flying then it wasn't then I refreshed and it was flying again, and now it isn't again, but it's a cool avatar either way. I like your new one too Paula, it is waving, and keeps waving.

Howdy you all. What day is it ?

stronghunter said...

I'm sitting here by the warm fire and it is still flying!

Costume Lady said...

I'm going to see if I can get my ice castle to twinkle.

Lynne2 said...

we once had a very sick miniature schnauzer who, without going into a lot of detail, ultimately died...nothing found on x-ray or exam but during the necropsy, we found about 2 feet of green embroidery thread wrapped all through the intestines. It was awful.
We also had a cat who, not once but 3 times ate the plastic inserts of sippy cups. The owners were mortified the second 2 times because after the scare and expense of the first time, they really tired to be careful about the sippy cups.
Some animals are just determined to eat what they shouldn't!

stronghunter said...

Hey, a garland with sparkly silver decorations just flew by the owl.

magpie said...

It did sixteen wingersizes and then stopped....

Lynne2 said...

anyway Shirley, I got sidetracked...it's a good thing the string was noticed before it was too late.

OK, I don't see the snowman waving or the ice palace twinkling or my owl flying. UGH.

magpie said...

yep 16 times it is, and now I am hypnotized......

Lynne2 said...

OK when I go on Paula's profile and mine they are flying and waving, but sorry Wanda...no twinkles.

stronghunter said...

It was fortunate that Kathryn saw the string wrapped around Lucky's tongue. They knew what to look for. The doctor had to remove part of his intestines. Doc was very proud of his work. That was years ago, and Lucky is still alive and well.

Lynne2 said...

OK nobody give Margy any suggestions while she is under her hypnosis!

magpie said...

16 times on your profile page too Lynne

Glad the cats you are talking about, how good rescues, except the one that didn't

stronghunter said...

We had a neighbor whose dog continually ate all kinds of things--money, chocolate bars in wrappers, toy soldiers, underwear, etc., etc. They finally had to have him put down because they just could not afford the expense.

Lynne2 said...

Thank God Lucky had a good vet! Intestines die off fast when something cuts the blood supply and any surgery involving them is dicey due to infection.

magpie said...

LOL Lynne...
give me a suggestion on how to pick up the pieces after this work week ! ☺

Might just start with a nice warm bath....

magpie said...

snow blowing and things tinkling at Pix Pa and a deer coming into view

stronghunter said...

A bath sounds like a good plan Margy.

magpie said...

I'll be sure to have my two phones in the bathroom with me Shirley!

TTFN xo

magpie said...

any word on if school's are going to be running on time Monday while I'm thinking about it?

magpie said...

schools not school's

magpie said...

ISS back out for some evening views this week...starting in these parts on Jan 5

Lynne2 said...

oh Shirley, we had a Golden patient who did the same thing....Billy was his name. It was awful. They even resorted to using a basket muzzle on him but somehow he always got a hold of SOMETHING. Not just the expense but the many endoscopies and several surgeries took a toll on the poor thing. They had also tried some "mental medication" in hopes of calming the behavior down, but no use. It was so sad when he had to be euthanized.

On a lighter note, Raven once ate a $20 bill out of a pocket in a pair of jeans laying on the floor. It took 2 days, but I got it back...not the most pleasant thing to "wait" for!

stronghunter said...

Do you all have ice and snow on the roads? As far as I know, the roads around here are clear, but it is a good day to dress warmly; buildings will be cold.

stronghunter said...

Margy, are you taking the phones so you can call 911 or so they can call you?

Lynne2 said...

Bath sounds like a good start!

Think I'll go take one myself!

magpie said...

Whoa, couldn't find the Momsters January Photo album for a minute, it is now the second album on the first page after Anne-Marie's luncheon visit...fooled me good!

magpie said...

Shirley - LOL -
well, I think I can say, Hey - look at the schedule, I have worked seven days in a row...that's QUITE enough for now!

Well, off to find the bubbles BBIALW

stronghunter said...

I would want to sterilize that twenty dollar bill.

magpie said...

OH about the schools, sometimes around here they don't want the children standing outside in the dark for the buses when it is bitter cold and they have a two-hour delay so I guess I will check the news later on that

Lynne2 said...

oh it got well laundered in boiling water!

stronghunter said...

Yes, it would be a cold wait, especially for the kids who insist on wearing shorts and flip-flops.

One morning I saw a kid lying on the ground with his head on his book bag--right on the edge of the street. I stopped and asked if he was okay. Shudder. Not a good idea to lie on the edge of the street.

Lynne2 said...

I want to know where are the parents of these half naked in the bitter cold children are?

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, too funny Lynne!

stronghunter said...

Only in Middle School

This is one of my favorite pictures of the mental state of middle school boys.

And, I think already I told you about the student in my ninth grade class who kicked a dead skunk.

stronghunter said...

Well, that link didn't work. I will try again.

Only in Middle School

stronghunter said...

I have thought the same thing, Lynn.

I will say that one morning, I saw a girl come out of the girl's restroom at school wearing hot pants and carrying a nice pair of jeans; I did not have to think long to figure out what had happened in that case. But standing outside waiting for the bus? Maybe the parents are already gone to work.

stronghunter said...

I always thought that my own children were pretty smart when they were growing up, but now some of the stories they tell me make my hair stand on end.

Mema Jo said...

Good Evening - Shirley the older our kids get the more stories we hear.
Some of the things I just don't even remember happening! Good thing wedidn't know then what they are telling us now.

Margy 2010 album will soon be first.
I am moving AM over to 2009....
Sorry if it gave you heart failure! lol

stronghunter said...

I think it makes us more understanding toward other parents, Jo. It is not a good idea to think your own child would never do such a thing.

paula eagleholic said...

Owlie is flapping again :)

Mema Jo said...

Your right on that account Shirley
Never say never!

Costume Lady said...

Paula, I hope you are still on here. I have looked everywhere for the instructions for a twinkling avatar...can't find.
After you copy and paste URL onto FROM THE WEB space and highlight it from right to left...then what do you do?

Mema Jo said...

Going to surf through the cams...

stronghunter said...

Maybe the owl just needs to rest sometimes, Paula. It stops sometimes, but it starts up if you click on it.

paula eagleholic said...

Oh, I am starting to hear some stories too, LOL

Mema Jo said...

Snowing in the PA woods

Mema Jo said...

Snowing even harder on ESPN

Lynne2 said...

That picture is priceless Shirley!

Heading to bed...good night, prayers for all and sweet dreams! Stay warm everyone!

stronghunter said...

He just looks like the typical middle school boy, doesn't he? I told Rus about the skunk-kicking episode, and he said that middle school boys just do not have enough sense to know better. I think I remember one time when Rus got into trouble for super-gluing a coin to a desk.

stronghunter said...

Night, Lynne.

Lolly said...

Owl is sometimes flying and sometimes not. lol

Stories about animalas eating things....we once had a kitty that loved all knit things. Many, many, many socks and sweaters later I convinced the kids to pick up everything!!! She would gnaw perfect holes in good sweaters.

I later read that this can be a habit of siamese, which she was.

stronghunter said...

Or maybe he super-glued his friend to the desk--when the friend tried to pick up the coin. I know it involved his friend Eddie.

Costume Lady said...

Night, Lynne:)

Did I ever tell you about the time I saw a skunk wandering around the back of our house and I stepped outside and clapped my hands so he would go away? You guessed it!:(

stronghunter said...

Kathryn's kitty liked to pull socks out of the drawer and fling them on the floor. Of course, he couldn't do it if the drawer was completely closed.

Lolly said...

So excited.....a good friend at church announced today that her daughter and her husband are heading to Russia this week to meet their new daughter. Hopefully by April they will have her here. Saw her picture and she is precious!

stronghunter said...

Didn't eat them, though. But it was the same kitty that ate the string. I think he was probably trying to play with the string.

stronghunter said...

A baby, Lolly?

Lolly said...

Oh, Wanda! Did you smell?!!!!

Costume Lady said...

Shirley, we have enjoyed your stories so much these past two weeks. I hope you keep them coming when you go back to school:)

Lolly said...

She is 20 months old.

floralgirl said...

Yep, Margy, due to the wind chills- schools in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan county WV are on a 2 hr delay tomorrow.
Hello everybody:) Such a cold, blustery day, the wind is really getting tiresome.

Costume Lady said...

Lolly, you could smell skunk around here for 2 weeks. Fortunately, I had just stepped inside the door when he sprayed, but my GG said she could smell skunk on me each time I went to visit her:)

Lolly said...

Haley, the mommy, has one little boy who is 5. She lost one baby around 5 months pregnancy and had to have a hysterectomy. She is diabetic so having her first child was very risky.

PA Nana said...

Good evening everyone still awake. It took me a while to read the posts but I think I'm up to date now.

The stories about middle school boys are (now) funny. We're still finding out things we didn't know back then. They pulled some good ones too.

Normabyrd mentioned turning spigots on to keep pipes from freezing and that reminded me of a funny. When Max visited back in May, every time he heard the word "spigot" he's start laughing incessantly. It was almost as fun ny as his Wiggles.

Lynne, I know you've gone to bed but if you read back tomorrow, please know that I send best wishes to you and your new family member. How great!

The flying owl and the waving snowman are active on my end.

We celebrated Christmas with my one sister and family today. I opted for the pasta salad and it was a good choice - my sister had made the deviled eggs. Thanks for the suggestions.

We had a good visit with extended family and was able to spend some time with a grand niece and her husband. Is it i before e AFTER c in that word? I always get confused with that rule for this word and I'm too lazy to look it up. Teachers?

Speaking of teachers, I hope you all have good students after their long vacation. Some will have left their brains on vacation too - sorry.

Blessings around.

Costume Lady said...

Oh, good for you, Megan...you and the Kid can sleep in one more day:)

stronghunter said...

Still blowing here, too, but I know it is not as cold here. Yes, I hate to think of little guys like Hunter standing out there in the cold.

Lolly said...

A year ago this last Thanksgiving Eve, Bosco, Laurel's dog, got sprayed. Joey stripped and washed Bosco in the little baby swimming pool we have. Jack had to run to Wally World to get the stuff we needed.

paula eagleholic said...

Wanda - the rules for the avatars have changed...the moving ones only work if you upload them directly to your profile...but the picture file size generally has to be under 10kb..it's really hard to find one that works.

It's removing it that's hard.

stronghunter said...

I hate to think of old teachers like me having to go out in the cold, too!

Lolly said...

Remember last year....I had a Santa I could NOT remove. Paula, you came to the rescue!!!!

floralgirl said...

Nope, no delay announced here yet, Wanda. Only Wv counties.
Paula's snowman is waving at me, but Lynne's owl is not flying..

stronghunter said...

I got the underside of my car sprayed once. I saw a skunk in the middle of the road. Thought it was dead, and straddled it because there wasn't anything else I could do. My car smelled until I took it to the car wash and requested that they carefully wash the underside of the car.

Lolly said...

I was worried about this years Santa, but had no problem. He played the guitar for several weeks and then went bye bye with no problem.

Costume Lady said...

Maybe I had better leave well enough alone...I see I have lost my avatar altogether. Going to see if I can find it.

magpie said...

Thanks Megan
but how about your county?

magpie said...

Diann - your evening sounds wonderful....

magpie said...

it took me a long time to figure out leaving a spigot or faucet dripping managed to keep pipes from freezing...too long in fact, had lots of frozen pipes in the past but not here.

paula eagleholic said...

My dogs still like to eat stinky smelly socks! They've eaten up a couple of pairs of Michaels socks already. I'll have to buy him some more before he heads back to school!

magpie said...

Best wishes for your friend's daughter Lolly, that sounds really great

magpie said...

So, WHO builds the better fire, Wanda....Dustin, or Gene...or YOU ?

Guess Hedgie will be trudging in from the cold pretty soon...hope her evening has been dreamy

magpie said...

figured I better get on here befor someone sent out a tubby alert for me ☺

magpie said...

wow it's hard to keep up, posted a notice about several ones after Megan reported on Washington Co schools...see it now :(

Judie said...

Hello everyone!

Lynne, congratulations on the new addition to your family. Daisy will be a joy and, no doubt, ever so grateful. I am sooooo jealous!

Lolly, having been the proud Mom to many Siamese over many years, yes, they do tend to gnaw on knitted/crocheted items. Don't know why.

Haven't been able to catch up today. Just a few recent items. Am going to wish everyone a good evening and pleasant dreams. Megan, glad you can sleep in a bit tomorrow and Shirley, wish you had a few more days of academic freedom.

Turning my light out but leaving the night light on for others.

Oh, by-the-way, did someone go to Savannah? Post some eagle pictures of an adult and juvenile? Darth, the voyeur, said he saw something but I don't remember that.

PA Nana said...

Skunk smell! One of great things about middle school boys.

When our Mike was about that age we had a Samoyed named Sasha. It was after dark and Mike decided to walk the dog.

At the end of our yard there is a grapevine that was still heavy in foliage. Mike told Sasha to "get the cat!" You guessed it; it was a skunk.

For those that don't know, Samoyeds are white and when you bath them in tomato juice they turn an ugly pink. The smell didn't leave for a long time either.

I'd still rather raise boys than girls - but not in today's world.

magpie said...

Hi Judie, good to see you here tonight, hope you didn't really leave quite yet.
I got a gift card to the Sheetz store this year, think I will check out the Sheetz, maybe make a down payment on some Flannel Sheets

magpie said...

looks like the only way Megan can sleep in Monday is if she Oversleeps!

floralgirl said...

Ha ha ha, alright people, I have confused many of you, but no sleeping in tomorrow, schools here where I live are on time....unless they change their minds in the morning, which would be really silly, but stranger things have happened.

floralgirl said...

Oversleep?

magpie said...

I know Megan, it is not in your vocabulary !

Costume Lady said...

Jusie, I believe that would have been GLO. Her son lives in Georgia and she had a very picturesque visit there and some beauties from Savannah.

Costume Lady said...

Margy, Dustin is just learning how to build a fire, but did a darn good job. All through the years, Gene has been the one to teach Dustin "Man" things. He was without an "in-house father" most of his life. Karla and his dad divorced shortly after he was born.

Costume Lady said...

SLIPS! Judie:)

stronghunter said...

Lordy, it would take a lot of tomato juice to wash a samoyed.

PA Nana said...

Imagine washing the Samoyed in a wheelbarrow. That's the only thing that was available - outside. I refused to let her inside.

Costume Lady said...

Glad Darth is peeking in on us. If he likes us, maybe he will come to Open House or some other event with Judie! We need more dadsters to help the Capt. out.

PA Nana said...

Wanda, the only way I'd get there is with my Jim or one of our sons. So there's another dadster

Costume Lady said...

Diann, how long was it before your dog could come back into the house?

stronghunter said...

Now, why wouldn't you want the dog indoors, Diann? (I'm not sure I would let my own child indoors!)

Food throw in Pa. Hard to tell the feed from the snow.

Costume Lady said...

Really hope that can happen, Diann.
We need to meet you in person:)

PA Nana said...

Hours, but I don't remember exactly.

I think we penned her in the kitchen that night. Our bedroom is above the kitchen so the smell was pretty intense. She, and we, did eventually recover but Mike didn't walk the dog for a loooong time.

Mema Jo said...

My eyes are very very heavy and I don't want to do a headed into my keyboard with my glasses on.

Good Night All
Prayers for all needs
Stay warm
((hugs)) ♥ ♥ ♥

magpie said...

Wanda, that is really special, about Gene and Dustin....what a great role model - Gene - for your fine young grandson....maybe someday he will find a fine lady like you too !

PA Nana said...

Nite Jo, pleasant dreams.

magpie said...

Good Night Jo....
Sleep well, snuggle up ! xo ♥

magpie said...

I would like to hear from Nilla on here ! Maybe she will be a Night Owl and be looking for some lurkers

stronghunter said...

Sounds like Gene is doing an excellent job. Dustin sounds like a fine young man. A male role model is so important for both boys and girls.

PA Nana said...

I am sooo looking forward to visit the nest and meet everyone. Barring any more surgeries.

stronghunter said...

I was thinking about Nilla, too, Margy. It has been awhile.

floralgirl said...

Right behind ya, Jo. Nite all:)

PA Nana said...

Snowing at PixPA and ESPN. We had some flurries at my sister's today. Sure glad that was all. Takes us about 40-45 minutes driving to get there.

PA Nana said...

Think I"ll shut down for the night too.

Should Nilla stop by, give her my best wishes. I'll try to catch her another night.

Good night! Blessings.

Costume Lady said...

Night, Jo and Megan.

magpie said...

Well shucks, I was trying to post a picture for some of you to see, finally got it on Magpie's Roost, what I want you to see besides my wonderful nephew, his wife and baby is the dog to the left of us, an Australian Cattlehound and part something else, was a Rescue from Memphis after Hurricane Katrina, nephew said she was just bones when he got here, she is the most wonderful dog. Check out her coloring if you have a chance.

xo

magpie said...

Good Night Megan and Diann, I won't be far behind you.

Just going to get pot ready for the morning so I can hit the on button and go back to bed ☺ for a couple of snooze alarm buttons

stronghunter said...

Really interesting coloring, Margy. Are those your glasses on the sofa in the background?

Costume Lady said...

That's a sweet thing for you to say Margy.
We have tried to be the best grandparents that we can be for him. We are all he has. Karla is a good mother, but he needs a male in his life. His step-dad came along most too late.

My eyelids are heavy too.

GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
PLEASANT DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL

paula eagleholic said...

Heading to bed, catch ya'll tomorrow.

Hugs to all ♥

magpie said...

Good Night Wanda, I speak from the heart

Yes, Shirley, each of us girls had those glasses on for one pic then quickly ditched them....☺

magpie said...

Okay Bye and Good Night Paula...

Want to wish everyone returning to the schools a very good day Monday....hope there is some special magic there for you all...

Better say Good Night....
Hope all sleep well, restfully, peacefully.....hope that Lynn gets home soon,

Good night Margy, and good night everyone else. See you tomorrow.

Margy, you have mail.....

Good night to those hitting the hay.
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Gonna check some cams & see if anything is out & about~~~

Lolly said...

Oh no! Not only did Margy take off her glasses in the picture, she took off her nose!

Great picture, Margy.

Okay, I used to blame Deb for leaving the freezer door open, now I have to blame you! Temps are really going to be dropping later on in the week....must be you!

Lolly said...

I am going to say night! Eyes are getting tired.

Hope Daisy has another good night.

Sweet dreams everyone. (((hugs)))

hedgie said...

Good evening.........I made it home and finally here! Had to work really hard to get the fire going when I got home, and then Bill called.......news on and trying to catch up.
Enjoyed reading all your comments.
I will add some thoughts:

Wanda, if rib bones are PORK, no-no for dogs! They splinter badly. Only beef bones allowed!!

My skunk story is totally disgusting. It was my oldest SharPei, Shang, and it was SO bad that I was sick for days. And her light hari was pink for a long time!!

Margy, your nephews' dog is very unique---lovely!

Diann, you are right---I wouldn't want to be raising kids now, either---but I do believe that girls were easier---at least for me!
And you all are right about hearing things now that our kids did when they were younger that just really shock us!

Boo, Skins........Jim Zorn will be let go in the morning and Mike Shanahan will be named next coach.

Concert was delightful. We had a yummy dinner at GLory Days, too.

Judie, yes, that WAS GLo's trip down south. She and her son went to Savannah for a couple of days. Glad that Frank is taking interest in us!!! We'll turn him into a dadster yet!

Wind chill currently 6----snow flurries for morning. Winds will continue but not QUITE as hard.

That's it from here for tonight!

Lynne, good luck with job interview tomorrow!!!!

Hope everyone sleeps snuggly tonight. Stay warm! See you in the morning light! Love all y'all! Prayers going up.

Hi, Everyone!
Gosh, I apologize for getting in so late! Hubby and I have been pretty much running all weekend!
No sooner get home and sit down, and we have to go somewhere!
We did get to see 'Avatar' today, though! Boy, what a fantastic movie! Story is very imaginative, and the special effects were quite spectacular. Didn't see it in 3-D, but would like to go back and see it in 3-D a second time. This one is going to be quite a trend-setter, I think. It's as new and different as 'Star Wars' was when it first came out.
Have read back on the blog a bit, and am glad to hear that George the cat is doing fine! Sounds like he was mighty grateful you didn't leave him at the vet's, Shirley!
Lynne, glad the new dog is such a sweetie, and is working out so well for you! I'm sure she'll be a source of joy for many years to come! Hope she starts eating well, too. Probably just a case of nerves.
Lynn, was sorry to hear you've lost another acquaintance. ((Hugs)) and prayers!
Hope you're feeling MUCH better by tomorrow, Sharon! Thelma, glad you are much better--sure was persistent flu, wasn't it?!
Well, gotta go take care of the bulldogs one more time in the morning, so better get to bed soon.
Setting the security eye scanner. The porch light's on, and so's the night light. Prayers being said for all. Can't wait to talk to all of you tomorrow. Have missed being here! Way too busy this weekend. Sleep tight, and have sweet eagle dreams! G'night! Love all you guys!
Oh--HAPPY BELATED ANNIVERSARY, WANDA AND GENE! :o]

Good morning everyone! Shirley, it is 10 degrees here this morning and wind chill is below 0.

Our sister, Donna, has been gone three years today. She has left such a hole in our family. Miss her every single day!!!

Good morning everyone. I am an insomniac the last couple of nights it seems :-(. Hate it when I wake up like at 3am and can't get back to sleep. Will be nap day for me. Still very cold here. Lots of eagles at the dam yesterday and saw some fishing. Camera so cold the focus was slow to pull in so missedmany a shot but got some too. Maybe I still have an adrenalin rush from the afternoon.

Well heres hoping for some good eagle viewing online today.

Awhile ago when I first opened up the cam. The wind was blowing her petticoats almost up over her head.
Well atleast they were really showing anyhow.

wvgal_dana said...

Glo this one of mine. Hits the outside and is quick and back in. Too cold out there for him. Wind still blowing badly making it colder here. How is it up your way? Or over your way?

wvgal_dana said...

Sorry Sissy I know that hole can never be filled. Yesterday I didn't even watch a football game and couldn't stand it anymore. Went to bed at 8:30pm, wake up stayed in bed until I fell asleep again. I know it will get better in time.

I'll be back after I feed this starving doggie (lol). I'll put a load of wash in the machine while I'm at it.

I shall return...sure glad we do have modern convenience's. Don't like that hauling from the creek after breaking the ice. Nor hauling those buckets of snow to melt for water.
