One more minute and I would have missed this visit. It is always a thrill to see our eagles in the nest, no matter how often!
Dana, we were sorry you didn't get to go to Conowingo, and sorry Nilla wasn't feeling well. We are still planning an Eagle Express trip to there in January...room for you:)
Oh Lynne2 that nurse needs a reality check...how dare her put your nerves through this. It is nerving enough for you I'm sure. You know you are in prayer.
thanks Dana. I'm guessing she, like everyone else seems to be these days (who are lucky to be working) are doing too much because employers are cutting down on hiring. But this is the SURGICAL nurse I will have and that scares me!
Wanda, what does the Dr want GG to do for the next two weeks before deciding on surgery?
Oh Glo and sweet Dex Good Morning in Eagleland to you both. God and Ed and these eagles this AM and you all are helping me this morning. Taking as I can go whether a few minute, an hour , time by time.
Lynne, Dr. wants her to take two Omeprazole each day (morning and Night) and Compazine. If that doesn't help, then he will do the surgery. I am giving her an extra half Atavan, hoping that will help her nerves (which also could cause the nausea).
Lynne, you are so right about so many places being SHORT STAFFED. It seems everyone is doing double duty these days and are stressed to the limit...which, then, stresses US to the limit:(
I take that for my GERD. It works so well! I sure hope it helps GG because it would be great to not have to have surgery...didn't I read the she might not be able to have the laparoscopy in her case?
Well yes Wanda He is pretty much my companion in life these days. He became much closer when I lost Daphne as he just kind of stepped up to the plate to follow me aorund etc. It was Daph who sat at my feet and by my side until then. Now that he has lost his site and his gal I think he too needs to be near me as much as I need to be near him. Its wonderful and yet a little screy too. I shall cherish what I have with him everyday I have it. He makes me smile as he lightens up the faces of so many who watch us walk by with the stroller. Its neat to make others smile and Dex does that very well.
Oh my heavens ... I just realized!!! My eagle pic is something like the cards for Ed's service. The mountain on his card has like at the top the Amercian Flag imiage but the eagle is flying in front of a mountain. Oh my goodness.
Well its off to the neighbors for coffee and dog treats. No doughnuts over there do you believe that :-). Then tonight is cam club. For those who helped me to choose I sent the giraffe, Driftwood Beach number 2 and the old building framed by the spanish moss trees. Dana I too my first 2 eagle photos the other day too. They aren't great really but they are eagles. The first for this year, so put them on Glo's Glimses. Its going to be very cold now next several days. That should help to bring them down. I am so ready.
Glo, it seems that your calling in life is to help make people happy. Your work as a minister's wife, your work at the shelter and now making a lot of smiles with DEX in his stroller:) There will be a special place in heaven for you!
Sorry Mits was over looking at Wanda's page. Oh Wanda he is so precious.
Good Morning in Eagleland Mits and on the other (can't think straigh) I'll say side of comments. Is a THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR CARDS, PHONE CALLS OF MESSAGES I'VE PLAYED OVER AND OVER. THE PRAYERS I KNEW WAS BEING SENT WITHOUT EVEN BEING ABLE TO COME ON THE BLOG. THE GROUP OF SUPPORT AT THE VIEWING. EVERYONE IN THIS GROUP IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER HAS AND ARE HELPING ME.....Thank You. ( : along with a few drops of tears.
Good morning, eagle buds! Chatty bunch! Good to see everyone---and Ceil and Dana both back!! I wonder if the Finny cam WILL be back or not...........after all of the criticism about the handling of the Koo situation, I'm afraid they might not restart it. We still have a long wait to know----cam wasn't turned on til March last year.
Good morning friends! I am back from our big adventure, trying to into the working mode. That concert was everything Sharon ever hoped it would be last night! Absolutely wonderful. Mattie got to get on stage and sing with the band. Pat Monahan sang a song to Sharon, it was just wonderful! I put a bunch of pics on Facebook, will try to post some here after while.
Toot-toot, Sissy! You must have left Charlotte either very late or very early!! Thought you all were spending the night...? Glad concert was everything you hoped for. What song did he sing to Shar and what is this about he knew who she was???
We left around 6:30 this morning. Mattie was an hour late for school, so not too bad. She is paying the price this morning for her big adventure but she said it was very well worth it!
They sang Mississippi to her. She is on Twitter and follows them and had sent a zillion requests for them to sing that song. They singled her out, new her face from her profile pic I reckon, told her it was for her and Pat Monahan sat right down in front of her and sang it!!! It was so very, very fabulous! He laid down on the stage right in front of her. Thought I was gonna have to hold her back!
Did You Know....only 3000 more VW beetles to be produced, and then the line is finished for good. Remembering that back in the 70's we had a chopped up one that we called Herby the Dune Buggy. No roof, no doors. We used it like a dune buggy to ride in FIL's orchard....like being on a roller coaster on some of those hills. It didn't have reverse, either! Fun times! Even got my Grandma in it when she was in her 80's. BIL got a really nice robin-egg blue one in late 80's (older model) that he refurbished to be Carolyns' first car----she refused to drive it! Of course, he had no problem selling it.
CHOO CHOO I am so glad everyone had a great time and got home safely!! I saw the pictures on Facebook!
Lynn, I am still waiting to hear from someone after my phone calls this morning. I happened to pick up the phone little while ago and the heart monitor was transmitting so I think I had an "episode" this morning. I also may or may not have had some last night...I may or may not have been dreaming! I started the meds last night. I am now beginning to be afraid to have the surgery tomorrow and I wish SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK!!!
Meanwhile, what a BEAUTIFUL morning here!! The sun is out and it's 56 already and supposed to go to 60!!!
Margy, cool store! Never knew about it. Can't believe that they actually make a stuffed toy out of a penicillin microbe---LOL! For budding research scientists, I guess!!
Sissy, it's a miracle that Shar didn't just plumb pass out!!!! That is really cool.....she will surely never forget the experience!!
Lynne, were they planning to put you to sleep????? Usually that kind of surgery is done w/ an axillary block (local that numbs the entire arm), which basically makes the other issue a non-issue!
Good morning! No snow this morning, only bright sun shine and 37. It was 34 when I got up and do not think we have had that freeze yet. My impatiens are still glowing in the sun.
DANA...so happy to see you on here this morning. Prayers and (((hugs)) still coming your way.
How fantastic for Sharon to have him single her out for the song. That is way too cool!!!!
The egg cup is looking good this morning. It is ready for some eggs!
Margy, I am so sorry you did not win the power ball last night. I will put in a good word for you! God surely knows the good you would do with all that money!!!!
I did some more on line shopping last night. Have almost finished up my shopping. Have Jack to buy for yet, but working on getting the decorations up is my next goal.
Morning Everyone!! Been reading the blog, had checked Wanda's new Baby last night! Another new tiny like Helen's Ben! Glad to see you back on here, Dana & so good you saw the eagles!! Prayers for all those w/potential surgery looming, too~~~~Lynne, GeeGee. Gotta get more coffee & get busy ☺
Well, I just typed a book and the blog cop ate it!
I only wish I was in dreamland. We left Charlotte a little after 6 and got home just a few minutes ago. I had the time of my life! Mattie got to get on stage and sing as one of the Trainettes. They played "Mississippi" at the end because I had sent several Twitters requesting it and Pat pointed that and me out!
Margy, thanks for the Hodge Podge link. I just did a little more shopping. lol Found a multiplication card game for Joseph's stocking. He will be learning multiplication in school. Going to make it fun!
Good Morning All! Oh the snow at the snowman cam covering all the leaves that now do not need to be raked! Good idea Hedgie! lol Dana thanks for coming on the blog - being here should make you feel a little better - Friends are the best medicine ever. Sharon says she is 'slam worn out'! For an extra good reason! I hope there are some pics on FB that show this awesome event!
Looks like I will NOT be having surgery tomorrow. It is the ANESTHESIOLOGIST who is balking, despite clearance from the cardio Dr. The nurse said they DID talk to him yesterday but still, they want me off the monitor first. She said she'd have the anesthesiologist call me later to discuss. I am wondering if this is a sign?
Wow, glad you all got to see that bird at BWO - and the pix Lisa posted are great, are any of them yours Mits?
When I first looked it was hunched over and I thought, Canada Goose ??
Not.
Hedgie asked a question about the Audubon Eagle..at Hodge Podge They did not have one I could test drive, but the other birds they DID have were very true to sound. So I think it would be The Eagle I got is a Wild Clinger, it's great.
A common cormorant or shag? The kind that lays their eggs in paper bag? lol (Anyone know what I am talking about? Jack says "no". Come on prove him wrong!!!)
Lynne...sorry about the surgery delay. Good that they are on the cautious side, though I am sure you are ready for them to get rid of your misery.
Have seen a moose live in Alaska and in Canada. While in New Hampshire we drove out every evening to hunt for moose. Saw their tracks and that is all. At the very same time I was hunting moose in New Hampshire, my sister was seeing them in Alaska. My dear bil said for me to call "here...moosey, moosey" and they would come. lol Tried it..did not work.
The common cormorant or shag Lays eggs inside a paper bag The reason you will see no doubt It is to keep the lightning out But what these unobservant birds Have never noticed is that herds Of wandering bears may come with buns And steal the bags to hold the crumbs.
Hi, Eagle Gang, Oh, it is SO good to see that Dana has been here this morning! Dana, you have been on my mind and in my heart like you wouldn't believe! In my prayers, too, of course! Welcome back! Let me tell you, this blog and the people here do wonders for you! Powerful prayers, too! (((HUGS)))!!! Lynne, maybe it's a GOOD thing you're not having surgery tomorrow! It hopefully will give your doctors and nurses a chance to get their act together properly!!! Prayers for your situation, for sure! It's a good thing God is in charge of our health, not the doctors, isn't it?!! Well, gang, would love to talk more, but have a PILE of homework to finish, and lots of studying to do for THREE (yeah, that's right!)--THREE exams in my class tonight!!!!! PLEASE START PRAYING NOW!!! Yeesh! Will be glad when this day is over! Thanks in advance for the prayers! Better go now--will talk to you again later tonight after school. Love you guys! (Oh--Sharon--WOWEEE!!!) Take care, everyone. Later, alligators! :o]
Andrea, love the new avatar! what kind of flowers are they?
Surgery has been reschedule for Dec 18. This is so funny....my "adopted" mother Carroll Jean was at the surgery center with her husband Sam who is having knee surgery today and while they were in the waiting room they heard them talking about me!! She got concerned that something was wrong and they were not allowed to tell her anything so she just called!
Hi all...Lynn, the poem is nothing more than a nonsensical childrens poem. One I remember from school is One dark morning in the middle of the night, 2 dead men rose to have a fight. Back to back they faced each other, drew out their swords and shot one another. The deaf policeman heard the noise, strode in and shot the 2 dead boys. If you believe not this tale so tall, ask the blind man, he saw it all! Just silliness! News has report on Nor'Ida damage on OC coming up.
Me and the 2 dogs I walk almost got hit by a guy driving a truck backwards up the road. We were standing in the parking area waiting for him to pass but the stopped. I waited just a split second to see if he was waiting for us to go and then he suddenly turned into the parking space, still backwards and sped up and I didn't have time to get out of the way it happened so fast. I screamed at the top of my lungs and I have no idea how I did it but I KICKED the tailgate with my foot as I was screaming. That stopped him just short of hitting us. I am sorry to say that I am NOT very Christian like and spoke my mind to the point of making Jesus blush but let's just say it will be a LONG time before he backs up without looking. I would have survived, but one of the dogs surely would have died. My leg hurts. I have had a frustrating day! waa waa! I'm sure glad that in between frustration I have had the pleasure of blogging with you all and getting quite an eagle fix!!
Jo - I have to tell you because I forgot earlier Megan told me at market you sort of started a landslide with the mittens on the wreath...she only had two pairs of those adorable rascals left !
WOW! 808 posts!! Blogger is at it again! Got my water starting to boil for the pasta!! Looks like it will make a lot```can always freeze some. Went to store & got some ingredients I was missing & zipped down to Penney's & found a couple Xmas presents. Didn't have what I was really looking for of course.
I remember when all I could see of them was teeney tiny beaks poking up once in a while....they have grown so fast!!! Just makes me more excited about Lib and Belle's new upcoming family!!!
This blog is wacko..... number confusion... No, the peace sign wreath is not working for me, I haven't given up but had many orders to fill for this weekend so I had to make them first...
Margy, did you happen to see the article in Reader's Digest for November about 911? I am appalled by some of the calls people make to 911!!! Some people have a LOT of nerve. I sure feel for you!

Wanda, what does the Dr want GG to do for the next two weeks before deciding on surgery?
Good Morning Glo and Dex (cause I just know he must be close by, that little scamp!)
Yes Dex is right here. He can still keep an eye on me whether or not he sees me. He knows every move I make :-)
Oh Glo and sweet Dex Good Morning in Eagleland to you both. God and Ed and these eagles this AM and you all are helping me this morning. Taking as I can go whether a few minute, an hour , time by time.
How old is Dex?
Lynne, Dr. wants her to take two Omeprazole each day (morning and Night) and Compazine. If that doesn't help, then he will do the surgery. I am giving her an extra half Atavan, hoping that will help her nerves (which also could cause the nausea).
Wanda I just might be doing that. Thank you for the seat. God's plan was not for me and Nilla to go at that time. Maybe HIS timing is January.
Dex is 11 1/2. One day at a time Dana and I know about one hour or even minute at a time too.
I am so sorry to hear that Gee Gee is having so much nausea. I hope it helps so she doesn't have to have surgery. Like I said put on prayer list.
Sweet Dex...I have never seen such a bond as you two have, Glo:)
Thanks Dana...prayer does help. Don't underestimate the power of prayer. We have seen it work so often on here!
Lynne, you are so right about so many places being SHORT STAFFED. It seems everyone is doing double duty these days and are stressed to the limit...which, then, stresses US to the limit:(

none from the sea eagles, Wanda, that is the osprey nest...sea eagles just use it during the winter when the o's are not there.

It snowed at the snowman cam
Oh morning all.

Good morning, eagle buds! Chatty bunch!

Lynne, that really stinks........so is surgery definitely off for tomorrow, or are you still waiting to hear decision???

Looks like they have been working on their nest as well :)

Sissy, it's a miracle that Shar didn't just plumb pass out!!!! That is really cool.....she will surely never forget the experience!!
Lynne, were they planning to put you to sleep????? Usually that kind of surgery is done w/ an axillary block (local that numbs the entire arm), which basically makes the other issue a non-issue!
interestings facts about the VW, Lynn.
Paula, is Caltrans that one they were trying to figure last week how best to place the second pole for another view?
Good morning! No snow this morning, only bright sun shine and 37. It was 34 when I got up and do not think we have had that freeze yet. My impatiens are still glowing in the sun.

No, Lynn...I think that was Two Harbors.
Sharon will never forget last night!
That penicillen microbe was cute!
Sharon must still be in DREAM LAND! She certainly got her money's worth! LOL
So Happy for her!
Margy, did they have the eagle in the store? Was the sound realistic?
Choo-choo, Sharon----are you still floating? Glad you made it home safely!
Goose at BWO ??
HEY SHARON!!! Glad you had so much fun...the pictures are a riot
Yes Lynn, they are putting me under general anesthesia. I have STILL not heard from anyone.
interesting bird Margy
Have no idea what that is at BWO!
Margy, thanks for the Hodge Podge link. I just did a little more shopping. lol Found a multiplication card game for Joseph's stocking. He will be learning multiplication in school. Going to make it fun!
Anyone on here know what the bird is at BWO?
could it be a loon in winter plumage?
color and shape look about right but I can't figure on what a loon would be doing on an osprey platform!
Don't know, Lolly....a duck maybe? Hard to tell from angle---turn for us bird!
Gone.....oh, well....guess we'll never know!
poof at BWO..sent Lisa the pic, maybe she will know
Good Morning All! Oh the snow at the snowman cam covering all the leaves that now do not need to be raked! Good idea Hedgie! lol
Dana thanks for coming on the blog - being here should make you feel a little better - Friends are the best medicine ever.
Sharon says she is 'slam worn out'!
For an extra good reason! I hope there are some pics on FB that show this awesome event!
we have seen owls, herons and flying squirrel on the BWO platform.
Great Mits! Glad you sent the picture to Lisa. Interesting bird.
Sharon, you should like this. Just listened to Mississippi by Train. Pretty song.
Looks cold at snowman cam!
Okay, time to "get with it!"
My morning time is past! Once again, have a great day. I'll.........BBL
WOW! Busy platform! I hope Lisa can tell what the bird is!
from BWO....
12/03/09:
A first for the Osprey Cam platform: We had an immature cormorant visit the nest. Here's another photo for more detail
COOL! Well, cormorant crossed my mind but the color threw me. I have only seen adults, and lots of them at that up at Conowingo!
Cool, Mits. Thanks!
Today is the day that Mason is supposed to get his trach changed....no new updates to schedule for that or rehab facility.
Pook has 2 good photos of Scarface.
Amazing how an animal's sense leads him back year after year.
Thanks for that reminder Hedgie. Prayers for Mason that all goes well.
Lynne - there is always a reason for a change in plans. We just have to accept it.
I sure would love to see a live moose in the wild!
Heading out for hair apptmt. soon---this IS the right day!!
Have a good afternoon.
P.S. Lynne, I did, in upstate NY----HUGE!!!!!
Cormorant was cute!
COOL Lynn!! Did you get a picture?
have fun at the salon!
Paula did you see them at Conowingo? They are so funny the way their noses stick up in the air!
USeeWildlife cam is viewing the eagles
Off to lunch BBL
Im sorry I left without saying so. Many calls coming in. I finally quit taking and laid down.
My prayers for all those that need them.
Gods speed and protection
Another time Thank You ALL again xxxoooxxx
Wow, glad you all got to see that bird at BWO - and the pix Lisa posted are great,

Not.

So I think it would be
The Eagle I got is a Wild Clinger, it's great.
Loretta will be excited about the Cormorant, as she saw them at PRP not too long ago.
And Deb photographed them on the Yankton River, a year ago...
Okay sounds like another round of prayers are needed that doctors rise to the level of their competence, not slacking off
Lynne2 and Wanda, this is for you and GG...
got to unpack grocs, have some coffee ice cream that is melting, might have to test drive that.
BBL xo ☺
There were well over 500 stuffed animals at Hodge Podge in Berkeley Springs...might make a good Road Shopping Trip for us locals....☺
but only the one eagle, (I think) and I got it. ☺ It's hard to shop for yourself with a 9 year old in tow
All these new Christmas avatars are fun
and Dana, yours is beautiful, a welcome sight along with your posts ☺
Lolly - sorry - you lost me...
useewildlife is showing a juvie eating something out in a field
I didn't notice the cormorants at Conowingo...they could have been there! Did see lots of herons.
I could fib and say I follow you Lolly ☺
When you win MegaMillions and I win Powerball, you can buy us those Eagle Jackets, and I will shop at Hodge Podge for everyone ☺
Hi afternoon People, I emailed Bob Q to tell him to check out the cormorant pics at BWO - what a cool bird, never know what to expect there !

oopps sorry at BWO
The common cormorant or shag Lays eggs inside a paper bag
The reason you will see no doubt It is to keep the lightning out
But what these unobservant birds
Have never noticed is that herds
Of wandering bears may come with buns
And steal the bags to hold the crumbs.
and now an Eagle at BWO, no more TV's ☺
and away our girl goes...
got about a dozen pics, almost done putting them up
Lolly will be very pleased Lynne.
did you get here in time to see Belle ?
Hi, Eagle Gang,
Oh, it is SO good to see that Dana has been here this morning!
Lib poofed....eagle at BWO :)
okay all done with pics.
She did a lot of looking all around, maybe waiting for some company to arrive.
Good Luck Andy, with prayers attached to that wish.
Okay, now I disappear.
Hope the rest of your afternoon Whizzes past Paula...
bye Lynne
xo
Oh...Liberty! Sorry I was thinking Belle
I just can't seem to get it right !
SHHHHH, Margy, Lolly, don't tell Jack....I googled it!!!! LOL!
I saw Belle. Or whichever....I cannot lie, I still can't tell them apart. I need a detailed drawing with maps, graphs, feather prints....
Oh Margy - Again ? Hopefully I will catch the 'night light' being turned on! Glad you and Paula enjoyed the show.

Megan Did your peace wreath ever work out like you wanted it....?
Hi all...Lynn, the poem is nothing more than a nonsensical childrens poem.
One I remember from school is
One dark morning in the middle of the night, 2 dead men rose to have a fight.
Pandacising...I think I want to try that!
Megan do you have a picture of the wreath?
You guys were hard to find.
Cam page says 389
then I went looking and something said 808 comments
Here we go again.
I saw the words Eagle and Visit
must go read more
Yes, we want to see the peace wreath!
Oh Jo - you are funny I thought you were sending a secret code. Then Lynn sent one that I thought was part of the Did You Know thought for the day
And I want to see the peace wreath too !
Hi Afternoon and Evening People ☺
including our California Jim
Jo - I have to tell you because I forgot earlier
Megan told me at market you sort of started a landslide with the mittens on the wreath...she only had two pairs of those adorable rascals left !
Anyone watching the baby hummers? Oh my gosh they are so cute! They are HUGE now!
Lynne - you are at the right place to help get all this out of your system, with the Eagles and US ♥
I'm so sorry it is been a not so stellar day :(
I think you probably taught that miscreant a lesson he will never forget
I wasn't but I an NOW - they are gorgeous ! Thanks Lynne
(( hugs ))
We're going to SPLIT soon then things will get confusing once again with these blog posts
WOW!
Two hours travel time to Forestville, I'm on my way Loretta!
xo
Okay we Split !
Did you get more Mittens Megan?
Good to see you !!!
I finally experienced my comment post going to the old thread but I think it is here
Margy, did you happen to see the article in Reader's Digest for November about 911? I am appalled by some of the calls people make to 911!!! Some people have a LOT of nerve. I sure feel for you!
