Salad sounds wonderful! Tell Gee Gee I'll be there. You know, I do not make a salad for Thanksgiving. My mother always make a cranberry, jello salad, but my family just does not eat salad. So, I just cook cranberries. Have a great recipe. Also, have a great recipe for the sweet potato souffle. I HAVE to make it for the the church dinner and our Christmas party. I would not be allowed to either if I did not bring it.
Sharon, those old videos are PRECIOUS. I have to tell you a story about our Lawyer and friend. He had a little girl and a few years later, he and his wife divorced. He remarried and had another family. He told us one day about a year ago, that he had videos of his children but none of his first child and it distressed him that he didn't take the time to take videos of her. I guess he didn't have a camera at that time. Anyway...Gene said that somewhere, he thought we had an old 8m film of the 1st daughter. Gene finally found it after months of searching. We took it to a photo shop and had it made into a CD. Talk about one happy DADDY! He was thrilled. That daughter is now 30 years old and he said she is coming home for Thanksgiving...he is so anxious to show it to her:)
I still find myself wanting to pick up the phone and call my Mom, too. Last year we had Tgiving dinner with her at the nursing home...then I made a turkey the Saturday after Tgiving....only thing I don't like about going elsewhere is that you don't have all those yummy leftovers. I can eat turkey for days...
Your right, Paula. The best thing about Thanksgiving is having days of leftovers to enjoy, Now, who was it besides me who likes dressing sandwiches? Someone puts strange things on theirs; can't remember who or what:)
Well, weather is doing a number on my satellite.....at least that is what the diagnostics say...........don't understand since TV sat. is fine. Duh. Whatever, as the kids say! Not going to fight it anymore. Will say goodnight, sleep tight, prayers for wellness, healing and peacefulness.
The videos I was watching were when she first rolled over, crawled, walked! Nothing yet for the "I said Cheese" Be sure if I do get one, you all will see it. She is just one ornery little gal! Just love her and miss all of them so much.
Oh, now that we split, I see more comments to catch up on. Lolly, my grams always made a jello salad of some kind for holiday meals. Winter ones were always black cherry jello w/ black cherries.......but my kids won't eat it, so I've ended up giving up!!
Black Cherry Jello with Black Cherries sounds delicious...maybe a few walnuts, too. I might try that, although Gene ate so much jello when he was preparing for his colonoscopy that he may not want any for a long time;)
WOWSIE Something is wrong with this blog. I just posted a comment to Lolly and it published but when I went to check it out - there was Wanda's comment.
I need to remember to put my turkey out to thaw tomorrow. I did one in the slow cooker last week and will use that broth for the dressing and gravy. I also cut up small chunks of the turkey and put it in the dressing.
I wish I had enough steam left to vacuum. I made a Christmas arrangement to put on my Dad's crypt and have a mess of glitter and leaves all around my chair. Tomorrow will have to do!
Hi, Everybody, I'm back, after dinner and some interesting TV on the History channel. I'm about to call it quits, too. Hope you all have a very restful night's sleep! Prayers being said for all. The night light's nice and bright over the nest, the porch light's automatic, and the eye scanner is officially enabled. Sweet dreams! G'night, all. Love you guys! :o]
I am feeling washed out myself. Time to shower and head to bed. This day has had its ups and downs. (I was feeling UP, before the rack came crashing DOWN!)
Oh, yes, I remember the unlocked door and the mysterious eagle.
Having my last chuckle of the day...thanks Margy. Thinking of you sitting there trying to type with lotion and gloves. And, your umbrella turned into a Magpie.
Saying good night again.....with mysterious music again playing in the background. lol
Good Morning Eagle ♀'s nd ♂'s I'm starting out confused. Cam Home page says we have 309 msgs, when you open the thread it says 206, but we have 262 comments. Oh my. Continuation of last night's antics....Wanda....?

Good morning everyone. Exciting day for me. Dex and I are packing to head to Springfield IL tomorrow a.m. to enjoy Thanksgiving with some family. He might think he is on vacation again when we hit the motel tomorrow night but he will enjoy that there will be two kids there to help his Thanksgiving be "just right". I think there is a little snow in forecast today but not enough to cause anyone any travel woes. Wishing all of you a joyous and Happy Thanksgiving.
Good dreary morning....rain and fog and cool her in R'town. Make my own sunshine day again today! Not happy about missing the ISS/Atlantis flyovers this week. Not at all promising weather for sky watching. There are flyovers tonight thru Firday and one again Sunday night...hopefully clear by then.
I just caught up from last night...LMBO! You guys are so funny!
Jo I'm so glad you have the videos! Sharon, too! And Wanda, what a great story about the old films...what a great gift! About 15 years ago, my brother hijacked some of my mother's old 8mm films from when we first moved to the Baltimore area as young teenagers and had them transferred to video. It was GREAT! Especially because my grandparents are in so much of it. I miss them terribly. Every now and then, I will pass by someone who has on the perfume my gram used to wear and the memories come instantly and set me to tears.
Sounds like everyone is going to have a yummy Thanksgiving!
MITS!---GOOGLE 'mince pie'--It is has meat with different kinds of fruit & spices, etc---We got it from the British---& is still eaten--It is on most menus at Thanksgiving time!!---recipes are on GOOGLE!!
Lynne - I am also real disappointed about missing the ISS flyovers....there will be plenty more, but not with Atlantis hooked up to it.... glad you got yourself hooked on this! Paula brought it to our attention summer time of 2008 ☺

I just got word from Karla (my daughter) that we are about to become grandparents, any minute now! Karla, a Step-Grandmother and I, a Step-Great Grandmother. Rachel is Karla's husband's daughter. She is having a boy named Jayden. I wanted a GIRL:( Just hope is is healthey and that she has a safe delivery.
I think I finally got through sleeping. I slept most of the afternoon, got up briefly to check in on the blog and watch DWTS, then went back to sleep.
Have been catching up on the blog.
Hope the butter knife and the blender top are found.
Glad that Lolly did not get hurt by flying glass.
Nice to see Ceil back on.
Enjoyed reading about the Thanksgiving plans. Everybody sounds so busy.
Judie, if any students show up for your office hours, I hope they are happy ones.
When I looked out the window this morning, there was a large bird in my backyard. I kept thinking "partridge." Partridge in a pear tree? Some kind of quail? I got one picture, but I could not get close. It walked back into the thicket.
I will try to post the picture on my blog.
Feeling fine this morning. I do have lots to do. Rus wants to bring two people to spend the night on Thanksgiving--his new girlfriend and a guy who would not have anyone to visit over the holiday. He is asking me to unearth the extra spare room. I have one spare room, but he needs two. He will sleep in Will's room. Rus thinks he gave me enough notice by telling me on Saturday. I suppose a month might be enough time. Oh boy!
I have not met these people . . . the girlfriend or the guy. This is only the second girlfriend Rus has brought home.
If Susan comes ends up staying over that night, she can sleep in my room.

It did me too! Strange! Let's see if it happens again.
Did it again! Weird!

I don't know what is wrong with this stoopid blog tonight...I can't seem to stay on the newest split side...
Ok, it's the blog, not us!

THREAD COP put me on the flip side too?? Glad it wasn't just me...I was thinking I need some sleep:)
Yes, it is the blog. Crazy, huh?
Wanda love that story about making the CD.
Good Night, Lynn...pleasant dreams:)
The videos I was watching were when she first rolled over, crawled, walked!
Nothing yet for the "I said Cheese"
Be sure if I do get one, you all will see it. She is just one ornery little gal! Just love her and miss all of them so much.
What a wonderful present. That is the stuff that is absolutely priceless and shows that you really can't buy everything at Wal-Mart!
Oh, now that we split, I see more comments to catch up on. Lolly, my grams always made a jello salad of some kind for holiday meals. Winter ones were always black cherry jello w/ black cherries.......but my kids won't eat it, so I've ended up giving up!!
Well, Lolly...we thought that the 8m film was probably too old to do anything with. We have a lot more to process now that we know it can be done.
Oh, they even put music to the movie. There was no sound on our 8m camera:(
So now goodnight for real!!! :)
Good Night Lynn
I like leftover turkey sandwichs with lots of mayo, and sweet pickles.
Nite Lynn!
Black Cherry Jello with Black Cherries sounds delicious...maybe a few walnuts, too. I might try that, although Gene ate so much jello when he was preparing for his colonoscopy that he may not want any for a long time;)
Hey, it is working now. After posting I am still on the right page. (Mysterious music plays here.)
Sure it's not Jack singing Christmas Carols?
lol You sure your multitasking wasn't making you see things!
WOWSIE Something is wrong with this blog. I just posted a comment to Lolly and it published but when I went to check it out - there was Wanda's
comment.
WOWSIE Again! Now it is there.... right where it should be.......
I may give up trying to figure this out.
I need to remember to put my turkey out to thaw tomorrow. I did one in the slow cooker last week and will use that broth for the dressing and gravy. I also cut up small chunks of the turkey and put it in the dressing.
I tell you....something STRANGE is going on! (Mysterious music....not Christmas!) lol
I'm calling it a night - news is on now
Good Night All
Peace to you and yours
Prayers for everyone
((hugs)) ♥ ♥
I am on the right side of the split again...strange things happening tonight for sure...
got some vacuuming done...finally!
Jo, maybe we need to go to bed:)
We're all hearing things and seeing things;)
Ahhhh1 Castle was good! I really enjoy him. I love his comments and his relationship with his daughter and his mother.
But, it is happening to all of us! It is the blog! It is haunted!
I wish I had enough steam left to vacuum. I made a Christmas arrangement to put on my Dad's crypt and have a mess of glitter and leaves all around my chair.
Tomorrow will have to do!
Would you believe I have my Wanda the Witch sign right beside this puter? It does say: spell casting, etc.
I will put it in the shop tomorrow where it belongs!
LOl Wanda, yesterday, I put a new bow on the wreath I put on our mailbox. Ended up with glitter on the carpet, on the chair, and all over me!
So Wicked Wanda....all the mysterious happenings are a result of you casting a spell.
I had a feeling earlier that something was akmbo....
and now I am up again..spells it is !
So I get to say Goodnight Again...
I had trouble opening back up.
xo ☺ ♥ Love all your tales...
I only cast spells in October.. This sign has a mind of it's own;)
LOL, Ok, Wanda, I'll blame you too since you fessed up!
and my umbrella turned into a Magpie!
Good Night again, Margy, and...
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
The sign, huh? Well, if that is the case, I think you should move it to the shop tonight, not tomorrow!! Hustle!!
That's OK, I will take the blame as long as you don't try to burn me at the stake!:)
akimbo...
I have lotion and gloves on cause my hands are all cracked up...pretty hard to type like this,
back to the pillows
No shop visit for me tonight, Lolly. The last time I went to the shop when Gene wasn't home, you all had a hissy fit! Remember th mysterious eagle?

I am THANKFUL for all of you, God bless!
Nite Andy!
Well after reading all that I just have to post something to see what happens. Perhaps the spell has been broken...
Oh, yes, I remember the unlocked door and the mysterious eagle.
Having my last chuckle of the day...thanks Margy. Thinking of you sitting there trying to type with lotion and gloves. And, your umbrella turned into a Magpie.
Saying good night again.....with mysterious music again playing in the background. lol
Wasn't that the Harley Eagle?
Wanda- we would never burn you at the stake...you are like Glinda, the Witch of the North! ♥
Ok, guess the spell has been broken. I can go to bed now...catch ya'll in the morning!
Hugs to all ♥
When I did the split, it put me back on the first page.
Good night everybody. Way past my bedtime!
