We are wondering how many schools are watching the cam. If you are a teacher who uses the cam in your class, please send me a quick email at the address listed in my profile.
Hi Hedgie. I've been OK. just not too motivated these days I guess. Glad to see lots of new bloggers that is a very good thing. I hope Steve hears form several teachers. All we ever really needed was a dependable cam we alreayd had an aweosme pair to show off. It seems to have happened. That is wonderful
We will get wet later tonight. Did nothign but rain all last week and lots of showers in the forecast now for day again. Farmers having a lot of trouble getting into the fields. I did have like 3 days to do some yard work which needed to happen very badly.
Hi Glo! Hope all is going well for you and Dex. Iris says she may be able to come to the Nest Visit! Will be good to see her!
Looks like Hidey wants some company in the nest tonight! I thought she was going to try to dig in under for protection! I guess she is saying - Enough is enough!
Hi Glo, we are working on the NEST VISIT. As you know, we always have a great time. So happy to have Iris coming this time! Haven't seen her in a while. Having the get together a little early this year because our HIDEY is so well developed and strong that we are afraid if we wait til June, she/he may have already fledged. Hoping to see you again one of these visits!
Wanda - Watch out for the Wild Rice may start to grow! Our 4 yr old is a meatball lover at heart She cleans up her plate - that's for sure Then of course it is ice cream before leaving to go home! I guess she'll always hold these memories of Mema's house!
Jo, did you see Loretta's pictures of the Wild Rice...I guess from last year. Interesting. I didn't even know that there was such a thing in our area. Sooo much to learn:)
I'm doing good, Glo. Getting lots of outdoor tasks accomplished inbetween rain drops...a lot of little fix-it-jobs--many hired out...getting ready for mid-June visit and celebration here w/ mom and sis for mom's 90th birthday bash (they live outside St. Louis).
New show starting - Made it through NCIS with a half-baked conclusion but the theme is still going to be there next week. Now for my mentalist show......
Hey out there in Eagleland! Just checking in tonight. Happy Birthday to Bob! Welcome to all the new ones. How has Hidey been today? Hope everyone is feeling better.
I lit a candle for Mason. That was very touching. I will remember him in my prayers as I also remember all my eagle buddies. To all newbies, this is a special group of people here. I feel very blessed to have discovered them.
Okay, I need help again. How do I get my own pictures on here? I used to do a lot better with computers when I was teaching and I kept up to date on all the computer classes but I have forgotten how to do everything. I really have forgotten a lot of things since this illness hit me. Thanks for the help.
Bibee, through your profile page you have to set up your blog. Use Google help for complete instructions. It took me a little while to figure it all out, but after you've done it once, it's easy!!
Thanks for helping me Deb. I appreciate it. I feel so dumb sometimes when I can't remember how to use the computer. I had tons of classes, I have a masters plus 60 hours, but I think I also have dementia(sopelling)?
I sure was a bum tonight. I am wiped for some reason, so off to bed to read. Lil' Kim gone from Dancing, too bad, I liked her and she was a much better dancer than Ty.
Been trying to fix blurry pics-duh. May have to put a couple on here anyway, just to show our PRP osprey has an egg. Will get them on sometime--hopefully so they can be seen in the AM!
We'll need to look up some Bear Cams - I'm sure there out there.. I know of the Grizzly one - have not gone there in some time. I saw a lost little cub on TV tonight (not sure where) down in the town heading for the garbage bins!
Hi all, I've been scarce due to stressful end of semester work pile-up. Have been missing Hidey... So, it seems that adult is keeping late hours (11:30 pm) as he/she is just standing guard over Hidey.
Oops, forgot this info...link from Rob Bierregaard (the UNC osprey tracking guy)
Finally! We're streaming live from our nest box over in Eastover. Better get on line soon, as the young are looking at that entrance and are thinking about exploring the real world. Once they leave, they won't come back.
GOOD EVENING! My e-mail is sort of working again-- get really disgusted at times with my ISP! It'll take half the night to read everything. I've kind of skimmed over what's there so far. I took a few pictures of our ficus trees; will figure out how to post them in the morning. (Deb, thanks for the link!) Right now I'm trying to reply to my most important e-mails about possible jobs, and will be back here in the morning. Have a great night's sleep, everyone! Prayers said for all. Take care. :o]
Thanks, Magpie! It's one of my favorites of all the pictures I took while on vacation with my husband, sister-and-brother-in-law, and two couples they know, in Scotland and England, July & Aug. 2008. It's a picture of the Royal Scots Greys Monument in Edinburgh, Scotland. Took 37 years to get to the UK, but well worth the wait! Wanna go back, ASAP! LOVED IT!!!!
Hey, Magpie, that WAS pretty cool how we both saw the same thing happen at the nest! Amazing what a small world it is! Well, since I have to get up (and get my husband off to work) in about 3 hours, I guess I'd better leave the rest of the e-mails for later tomorrow morning, and start reading myself to sleep. Sleep tight, and I'll be back tomorrow. :o]
Yes, Ms. Bookworm, fun to share the night life with you...maybe you will see this post when you get up. We have a Momster, Chrissy, from the UK, she will be most interested in your vacation adventure.
I was off watching a DVD - Burning the Future...Coal in America. A homework assignment of sorts, in support of a friend of mine.
So, I guess it is time for a good night from Magpie's Roost....
Hope everyone hears me whispering in your ear... ... Love You, Friends ♥
G'Day everybody! Is Hidey standing on one leg?! She's so much more coordinated now! And it looks like it's stopped raining. I'm in Tallahassee & we're in a heavy fog this AM (read 110% humidity!) Oh! There's breakfast sushi for Hidey!! Yum!

Good morning eagle people. Guess it’s time for me to show up and let you know what’s happening. I’m still on oxygen and nebulizer and have not noticed any improvement but maybe will in time. I’m still able to do my yard work even though it’s difficult at times. Mrs. Red and I have been looking at houses in town with smaller yards but nothing found so far. We’re hoping to find a house in an area where we pay a monthly fee and they take care of most upkeep. We tried to have a yard sale this past Saturday but it was rained out. Where is all the rain coming from this year? I think we are above normal now I’ve been watching most of the nests and babies (some of which are not babies anymore) Hidey is still my favorite.
Morning all. Nice piece on the CBS Morning Show about zoo babies and the POSSIBLE pending birth for Mei!! They said that when Tai was born, zoo attendance increased in the hundreds of thousands! And they showed Kibibi, the baby lowland gorilla----still a cutie! Didn't know that baby anteaters ride on mom's back! Cool!
WHOA!! RED!----You have brought SUNSHINE to our WET & RAINY day!---House hunting is hard---but I'm sure you all find something soon!!!----Keeping you folks in my thoughts & prayers---WE ALL HAVE MISSED YOU!------STAY COOL!---- (guess i should say---stay dry) ho!
Hi ya', Red!!! So glad to see you back on with us. I agree about the rain....enough is enough! Difficult market time to being trying to sell and buy...good luck. A nice retirement community w/ yard service would be ideal (my mom has that, plus snow removal, too, in MO). Wishing you luck. Do wish that the O2 was doing you more good. Isn't our baby a BIG girl???
Item in the paper explains that the purple boxes we see in the trees here in the panhandle are to trap the "emerald ash borer"--an Asian native that damages and kills trees. Now we know, Wanda and Margy!!!
Good to know hedgie! We also have them in Marion/Mon/Taylor/Harrison counties, and I saw them in the south-central part of the state last summer. I just figured it was to do a study of what bugs were in the area.

Jo, love spaghetti and 4 year olds!:)
Raining again...oh no! Our garden is like a Rice Paddy.
How about yours, Megan?
Wanda - Watch out for the Wild Rice may start to grow!
Our 4 yr old is a meatball lover at heart
She cleans up her plate - that's for sure
Then of course it is ice cream before leaving to go home!
I guess she'll always hold these memories of Mema's house!
Yes she will, Jo. Some of my grandchildren's fondest memories is ice cream and story time when visiting Nan Naw:)
Jo, did you see Loretta's pictures of the Wild Rice...I guess from last year. Interesting. I didn't even know that there was such a thing in our area. Sooo much to learn:)
Yes, this is Tuesday...TV night. See you later.
Headed into TV NCIS - Mentalist - Without a Trace! WHOO HOO!
NCIS is continued but I think I have it figured out already.
The others best better NOT be continued!
BBL or Inbetween with the commercials!
Heavy rain here again and more coming behind it...to be continued....
Louis).
3 birds having a singing contest in the rain...very loud and melodious...and then the robin started chasing the swallow!
Glo, when do you get the results of your new photo contest?
Adult in our nest.
New show starting -
Made it through NCIS with a half-baked conclusion but the theme is still going to be there next week.
Now for my mentalist show......

NCIS was good;)
good grief, Mei Xiang is in a weird position
Hey out there in Eagleland! Just checking in tonight. Happy Birthday to Bob! Welcome to all the new ones. How has Hidey been today? Hope everyone is feeling better.

Bibee Hidey has been good today. He/she is still awake.
Going to call it a day.
Pleasant dreams to all.

Glad to see that Hidey is not alone for the night! (So far!)
Night, Ceil. "See" you tomorrow!!
Still raining at the nest.

Sure is hard to see Hidey right now.
yes it is.

someone will help you, Bibee
Wondering if Candy is too busy "stocking" her new computer with favs that she forgot us?? LOL!
And Lollie, please let us know how you are feeling!!
Bibee, through your profile page you have to set up your blog. Use Google help for complete instructions. It took me a little while to figure it all out, but after you've done it once, it's easy!!
Upload pictures
The directions on how to upload pictures are on at that link.
BEAR is at Snowman cam!
Thanks for helping me Deb. I appreciate it. I feel so dumb sometimes when I can't remember how to use the computer. I had tons of classes, I have a masters plus 60 hours, but I think I also have dementia(sopelling)?
Deb - You could almost set your watch each evening by the bear's appearance!
Strange!
I sure was a bum tonight. I am wiped for some reason, so off to bed to read. Lil' Kim gone from Dancing, too bad, I liked her and she was a much better dancer than Ty.
Bebee, we all have what we call the CRS syndrome around here!
Jo, wouldn't it be something if the bear would have cubs sometime! (or maybe its mate)
Wow, I tuned in just in time to see "Da Bear"!!
Been trying to fix blurry pics-duh. May have to put a couple on here anyway, just to show our PRP osprey has an egg. Will get them on sometime--hopefully so they can be seen in the AM!
Checked out both Finney sites - incubating osprey is at those nests.
Finney Land comment:
3.5.2009 First egg. During start of the season male mated with three different females.
We'll need to look up some Bear Cams - I'm sure there out there.. I know of the Grizzly one - have not gone there in some time. I saw a lost little cub on TV tonight (not sure where) down in the town heading for the garbage bins!
I can't find the Finney water nest. I have the land nest on my favorites.
Coming at you
Give me a minute
Link to Finney Water (also look for the Ferry way out beyond the islands)
I am getting to be like Margy, this time I am really leaving. Night everyone!
Looked at Mei - all snuggled up in that corner. Mits - do you think if and when the time would come that she would go down into the birthing den?
Good Night Deb! Read yourself to sleep
yes, I do, Jo
The clock has tolled for me for the day.
Lolly I pray you are on meds and getting better! Mits I pray you had a half decent "pain free at times" day!
Good Night All
Peace to you and yours
Prayers for everyone being offered
(((hugs))) ♥
Good night everyone! Thanks for all the help tonight. Sweet Dreams!
Good to know, Mits - didn't want anyone going through the den looking for a noisy stick of butter Nite
lol.....they sure would hear it before they see it, they maybe small, but they are really loud
update on BWO....
Nest Update

Our three eggs were laid on April 24, 27, and 30. Hatching should start around the beginning of June.
We'll open the Osprey Cam Web Log toward the end of the week.

Night all take care and have a good sleep.
AOYP=Angels On Your Pillows...ALL IN EAGLELAND.
Paula - you can turn out the lights!
Good night everyone. Went to a East River Mountain Town Band concert tonight. Only 2 more of those before Andrew leaves me! :(
was wondering why you were up so late, Sharon
Hi all, I've been scarce due to stressful end of semester work pile-up. Have been missing Hidey... So, it seems that adult is keeping late hours (11:30 pm) as he/she is just standing guard over Hidey.
Hi, Carol...have you been having a lot of rain in N.J.?
I'm not sure how much rain we have had here, but I know it will be June before we can get into our garden!
I think everyone has turned in for the night, so I guess I will too.
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Hey all, busy evening, lot of time on the phone. Can you believe Ty made it thru and Lil Kim was voted off DWTS??
And yes, Jo, I'll turn out the lights...unless Jim comes on, then he can turn them back on and then off.
Gnite all
Hugs to all ♥

Holey Smokes! Belle was in the nest SO BIG in the middle, got up, plucked around the nest, looked at Baby, and now has flown off...
But she woke the baby up before she left, now baby is all alone looking....
Adult just left the nest; Hidey is by herself. She just woke up, and is looking around. Decided everything's OK, and she's going back to sleep now.
I turned the lights back on for awhile, now Jim, it's your turn to turn them off again....☺
I almost sort of saw the waxing moon a little while ago.
That'w Way Cool, Ms Bookworm! We saw the same thing at the same time - -
just three hours difference, that's all!
Back in awhile, time to drown a few bubbles !
Nice Avatar, Ms. B-W
