Hi all,
Been catching up reading all the posts and thinking about the most amazing thing I have seen in nature. I'm a volunteer at the Tualatin River Nat'l Wildlife Refuge in Sherwood, Oregon and every single time I'm there I see something amazing! There is no ONE thing about nature that is better than the rest - it's ALL AMAZING!
Just saw evidence on the glass of a kamikaze bird....but no carcass on deck, so hopefully it survived the "fly-in"!!

Have to start getting ready. My sister has been away. She is taking me out today for a late birthday for me. Oh boy wonder where I'm going..sure someplace to eat.
I told her no horse back riding. I've given that up. lol

I agree Chris, it's all amazing. Everytime I go to Blackwater Refuge I see something different and come back with a unique collection of photos.

I'll say call 911 Wanda !! We have a complaint type for that at work:
Either "Unsecured Door" - or "Breaking and Entering in Progress...." we give the details so the officers know what they are going in on....and we ALWAYS tell them if the property owner is wielding a firearm! And then we go from there....

My Mom had a gun, too. She wanted one for when she was alone down at the beach. I haven't had a chance to turn it in to the police yet...so I locked it up in the safe.

Hi, Everyone! First things first-- prayers going up for Angel and Mason! Took me a while to get here today-- had a routine Dr. appt. this morning. Got my pneumonia shot-- haven't had one before now, but figure it can't hurt. I guess it's good for 10 years, right? Guess what! Saw a Rufous Hummingbird this morning! He's apparently migrating through. Have seen them occasionally in past years, during the summer, for a few days only. He really likes our new Kangaroo Paw flowers, and so do our Anna's hummers. Hidey is looking good today! Are those fishy nestovers in the center of the nest?
Well, I am back from the doctor and my blood is good. They have to send off the iron studies but my hemoglobin was 12.6 which is marvelous. ALSO - DRUM ROLL - and I don't know exactly how it happened but - I HAVE LOST 7 POUNDS IN A MONTH!
I am home for lunch, caught up on the gun-toting activities. Wanda, what a sight that must have been!

Wow, it's pretty windy at the nest today! Hope Hidey doesn't try anything too crazy. The sun is just now beginning to burn through here in SoCal. Expected hi is 75. Had a 'Medical Instruments' class last night; by the time it's over, I should be nearly ready to do an appendectomy! (Just kidding!)Super interesting class. Guess I'll really need to know lotsa medical terminology and procedures before I'm done. Well, have LOTS of reading to do-- will keep checking back as I'm able. Have a GREAT day! :o]
I had my first strange call today, guy kept telling me all he had to do was stay white and die, that was in between every swear word around. I got him off the phone quick!

Have been reading some of the previous blogs to try to catch up a bit-- Sharon, looks like I'm the one who found the 7 pounds you lost! :o[ Gotta watch it for a while and get rid of the extra baggage! Will just have to eat more salad and veggies. Will try to do the stairs more at school, too-- that should help a bit.

Well, I let 2 white boys out a while ago to go potty and 2 hours later they come back black. T-totally covered in mud, Buphals and Hairy. What a mess. Had to break out the water hose on them.
