Thanks for the loon link and the Norfolk Eagle link. I have added them to my favorites. I created a google account but maybe I am still doing something wrong. I'll try and check about the google account and see if the password works there. Thanks again!
I'll tell you about the cheesecake, Paula. It is gone! LOL I will give you the recipe later. Laurel and boys still here. Just got on to say we are still here. Have not been blown away, nor have we flooded. Bad weather!
Laurel is celebrating, Her district has closed all schools.
Today we visited Three Rivers Avian Center located near Hinton, WV. Saw 10 birds they have on site used for educational purposes and shows. I'm going to try to add pictures to my blog if I can remember how to do it.
I am so hurting for Mits! I hope the correct pain med is being used - I know how sensitive her stomach is but there has to be some med to give a lot of relief!
Back from meeting....out of 40 lot owners, the usual handful attended...only 9! I looked up the Sopapilla Cheesecake recipe....it is SO easy...I have all the ingredients so think I'll make it tomorrow. Uses Crescent rolls and cream cheese. Good pics, Sara. Thanks!
Suz thought she saw one a couple of days ago, but then didn't see it, Dana! I said earlier that it looks like she is roosting...do the osprey spell each other the way the eagles do?
They are saying in that forum and the administer has deleted any pictures of the Land Finland nest. Says on the site it says due to copywrite pictures can't be posted in Finnish.
OMG.... Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis was among 12 people injured when winds just shy of tornado strength ripped through the roof of the team's indoor practice facility during a rookie minicamp Saturday. The storm hit while 27 players were going through workouts. There were about 70 people in the facility, counting coaches, other team personnel and media, officials said. Storms often make loud noises inside the so-called bubble, but this time overhead lights swayed violently. One of the team's video staff was the first out the door, followed by Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com. Eatman was hit by something and went down a few feet away, then heard someone screaming for help. He recognized it was Todd Archer of The Dallas Morning News. Eatman and colleague Josh Ellis tried freeing Archer but the structure wouldn't budge. "It was like a car," Eatman said. Then safety DeAngelo Smith and linebacker Brandon Williams were able to get it up just enough for Archer to squirm out. Archer said that as he fled for shelter, other players appeared to be stepping through the debris looking for others in need of help. Eatman said one of the swaying lights wound up more than two football fields away. The giant blue star atop the building lay crumpled on the ground. The storm knocked out power at team headquarters and splintered trees across the property.
Thank goodness no one was killed. Lolly said they had really bad weather in the Lone Star state today....
Hidey is asleep - So concerned about Mits that I totally forgot to do weather-take it up through Monday Night
TonightCloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. Lows in the lower 50s. North winds around 5 mph this evening becoming light and variable. SundayShowers likely in the morning...then showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent. Sunday NightShowers. Lows in the upper 40s. East winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of rain 80 percent. MondayShowers likely. Highs around 60. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. Monday NightShowers likely. Lows around 50. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. AMEN
Hi Megan - Still trying to make up my mind but the weather would be the factor as to whether or not I come. Could you just load some of the red or purple salvias in case I would come? I will wait a week for the 4:00's.... need the flower bed prepared.
Hey, me again. Okay, what's the link where the bear is at the snowman cam and also where is that raccoon party in the PA woods site? Thanks for helping me out with the links. I really do apprecaite it a lot!
Thanks for the bear link and the raccoon link. Saw the bear being lazy, just like me. Had a bear stand up and put his front paws on my window in the truck. Scared me to death, but the bear was so pretty! Used to have a pet raccoon. Loved that baby! Used to walk it on a leash. It was too cute! Will look for that recipe for the cheesecake. I just keep taking notes on things from this site. I am just so thrilled to have found it!
Hi all! It has been a busy, exciting day. Company this afternoon. Also, the weather has been very turbulent. Rain, wind, hail, tornadoes, you know, typical Texas weather. Sirens went off for us tonight, but all was well. Laurel headed home but called and she had pulled off the freeway and was under a bridge. She just now called and she is home.
It was a "microburst" that took down the Cowboy's practice facility. Twelve were injured, two seriously...both coaches.
Denton ISD has closed for a week. Laurel and the boys are thriled to have a week of no school.
Thanks for that link, Dana....still don't find about the pics being taken down...do you remember when that was posted? I sent that link to Suz...don't know whether she'll be able access it while working or not, but maybe long enough to see the eggs!
Not to be rude since you just came on Lolly - but I told Dana I am half asleep and not it feels like 3/4 asleep. Sorry about your TX weather but sounds like all is well tonight. Looks like we'll have rain most of the upcoming week - of course that can change. No word from Helen tonight - so concerned and will pray for her comfort.

Further reading reveals that it is apparently the Finney Land nest that they were referring to about the pics. That camis privately owned, whereas Finney water is, I think, owned by a university. Saying goodnight to all. Peace and prayers. Mits, please get better quick!
I checked both Finnish O. nests, and the 'Finney' nest ... with small forest in background ... definitely has a (1) new egg!!
The water surrounded nest was open briefly, but I couldn't quite see an egg...don't think there is one yet, but the female is still in the incubation position, so I might have missed the egg.
Hidey is blowing zzzzzzzzz's to the max with wings spread and head pointed to 2 o'clock.
At Pete's Pond a small adult Water Monitor is stalking some Guinea Fowl, but since they know he's there and are watching him carefully, maybe the stalking is the other way around.
Good morning all. I am off to do the March of Dimes Walk. Raining hard here. Have not heard from Helen either. If she has not gotten any relief I will try to get her to call the doctor. Have a great day.
Belle was in nest with Hidey with food. Liberty flew in only to have his talons hanging onto the edge of nest. He tried to get in further but Belle wouldn't move. Finally Liberty flew out. Leaving Belle to feed Hidey and then do nestorations.

Good Morning All! No comment about the drizzles out there but won't be going over to Sheph'town market this am. I don't mind dodging rain drops but I don't want to do any slipping/sliding on those WV sidewalks.
Jo up at 3am took pain pill still couldn't go back to sleep. Seem every which way I turned. I hit a boulder in my bed. I surely hope it hits me later for a panda nap.
Sorry Paula just caught all of your comment. Yes I would say that is Belle in the nest. Unless there was a switch while I was putting clothes in washing and taking others out of dryer. By the way I just whispered I was doing that. My Grandmother would have my head on a plate. If she knew I was doing that on Sunday.
DANA---i can't open my emails!---Need to call Atlantic bb---I did last week---now it won't open again!!----I hope you feel much better today & get a PANDA NAP -- as JO would say!--ho!----- Today is RAMP FEED---don't know if we can go---will be a MUDDY place!-

Is Lib showing Hidey how he should be doing it. He just finished flapping his wings (which caused her to duck to avoid being hit), and then when he finished, she started flapping her wings and jumping around the nest as if to say, "this is how to do it." It was neat!
I'm new to the eagle cam . . . just ran across the address as a link from some other website - this is really enjoyable, could spend hours watching. When it's too hot or weather to bad to watch the blue bird nests in my own back yard, it can sit in the cool AC and watch this one.
MORNIN' JOY!---I wanted to say---(it's a joy to have you)---but I am sure you have heard that before!!---WONDERFUL to have you join the EAGLE MOMSTERS!!!
Now I can say for sure I'm done for the day (as far as getting anything productive done)! I'll be looking at these pictures and videos till midnight! These are great.
Thanks for the welcome all.
I'm in Charleston, SC - 84 degrees and sunny now. No rain likely in the near future. I was actually "hot" yesterday, think the humidity was high.
Back to look at video's and pictures. How in the world did you get to see the real thing? I'm jealous!
Joy - I live about an hour from the nest...went there yesterday for a 5K run/walk. We can also get on the grounds for a visit with advance notice...we are planning a trip in a couple of weeks!
05/03/09: We're seeing the occasional image where neither eaglet is present in the nest. We think it's a little early for either bird to be flying, but we've asked our Refuge staff to keep an eye on the TV monitor at the Refuge for any clear flying/landing activity.
Joy There are others that have these personal blogs - just click on names & then you can back arrow to return to the Eagle Cam Blog!
Enjoy your weather today. Hope Lolly from TX didn't blow away last night..
Repeat of our Nest Weather: SundayShowers likely in the morning...then showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent. MondayShowers likely. Highs around 60. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. Monday NightShowers likely. Lows around 50. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. AMEN
Lib checking on his little (big & growing) girl! She is really doing well. Love it when I see the feathers blowing. They are sometimes so still you think the cam is frozen...
Good rainy morning, fowl friends. Jo, the tidbit about Mei was on the 11pm news last night. Jim, if you check in, there are supposedly two eggs in the Finney water best....go to the link that Dana posted last evening for their forum and keep scrolling til you see the pic with a green circle around the eggs.
Margy must have been really pooped this am...never checked in before she sacked out....wanted to see if she knew what happened to the ducks on the interstate!
Thanks, Jo. Most definitely praying for Mits to feel better soon....know she doesn't want to miss out on any of the "watch" that she may be lucky enough to get assigned for!
Back in...some GIANT HUMAN made enough noise to wake me up grrrrrrrrr
I didn't even set buzzer on dryer so it wouldn't wake him up.
Well now I'll finish up one load to dry in dryer. Putting clothes away now.
So GLAD ( : you all are getting to see the eggs at Finny on the water.
Lord give MERCY to Mits. That doctor has to give her a little something for pain. Mainly because it will wear her down. We don't want her catching a cold or anything now.
Ceil hot tub or shower to warm those worthy walking bones. Maybe even nice cup of warm tea if you don't drink coffee.

Hidey was really looking for dinner! Maybe Belle is bringing it.
Hidey is giving LIb He**
He took off!
I'll tell you about the cheesecake, Paula. It is gone! LOL I will give you the recipe later. Laurel and boys still here. Just got on to say we are still here. Have not been blown away, nor have we flooded. Bad weather!

Today we visited Three Rivers Avian Center located near Hinton, WV. Saw 10 birds they have on site used for educational purposes and shows. I'm going to try to add pictures to my blog if I can remember how to do it.

Paula -The panda nap interfered with the completion of the email lol
I was out measuring flower pots

I have added some of my favorite pictures from our visit to Three Rivers today.

Lolly made me do it - had to run to the store and get some chocolate chip cheesecake - YUMMY!
Nice pics, Sara. Love the golden eagle! Jo, check out her owls.
Thanks!
The video of the Lyre Bird I posted starts off a little boring. Man does that bird go nuts lol
Oh shoot I was on a forum of Finland. They are saying at the Finland Nest on the Water there are 2 eggs. Anyone hear about that?????
Suz thought she saw one a couple of days ago, but then didn't see it, Dana! I said earlier that it looks like she is roosting...do the osprey spell each other the way the eagles do?

Don't tell anyone Deb that you have it! Paula said someone took the sign that was down at NCTC & they are looking for it!

Good morning all. I am off to do the March of Dimes Walk. Raining hard here. Have not heard from Helen either. If she has not gotten any relief I will try to get her to call the doctor. Have a great day.
Good Morning Eagleland
Ceil sorry your walk will be in the rain.
Yes please let us know about Mits.
The copywrite is only about the webcam at Finland Hailuoto Land Nest
Lynn comment at 8:49pm says Land Nest.
Early morning to you Jim. How's things out your way?
Belle was in nest with Hidey with food. Liberty flew in only to have his talons hanging onto the edge of nest. He tried to get in further but Belle wouldn't move. Finally Liberty flew out. Leaving Belle to feed Hidey and then do nestorations.
I love opening the cam to see more than one eagle in the nest.

Yes, cool wet and rainy today!
Looks like a staredown contest!
So Dana is that still Belle in the nest?
Hope Ceil has a nice walk in the rain!
Hope Mits can start feeling better...she must be miserable!

Good Morning All!
No comment about the drizzles out there but won't be going over to Sheph'town market this am. I don't mind dodging rain drops but I don't want to do any slipping/sliding on those WV sidewalks.
Praying and thinking about you Mits! ♥
lol It really is a stare-down contest!
I had to stare until something moved to be sure it wasn't a frozen cam.....
MORNIN' PAULA!---She thinks she is the BEST too!!---ADORABLE little IMP!!----ho!
Mema Jo best stay in today anhow. I got the crook pot on lol
Boy Dana! - you were the Night Owl last night and now you are the Earl Bird!
MEMA JO---prayers that you DO NOT SLIP!!----'take care'!!!
Looks like Big Bird is going to attack the eagle. If someone came in that didn't know anything about the site or eaglets/eagles.
Jo up at 3am took pain pill still couldn't go back to sleep. Seem every which way I turned. I hit a boulder in my bed. I surely hope it hits me later for a panda nap.
CEIL----Here's hoping you have a 'dry' WALK this morning!!
BEST WISHES TODAY!-(you go GIRL!!)
Dana - Sunday is the only time I have to do laundry...speaking of which...
Good morning everyone. I was going to save a pic of the stare down but the still cam is frozen at 5:57 this morning.
DANA---i can't open my emails!---Need to call Atlantic bb---I did last week---now it won't open again!!----I hope you feel much better today & get a PANDA NAP -- as JO would say!--ho!-----
Today is RAMP FEED---don't know if we can go---will be a MUDDY place!-
ps---You need a plate of RAMPS--in WV they are known as a 'SPRING TONIC'----ho!----
Dry those wings out, Hidey!
I am reading the Sunday Paper - we don't get one on Monday's anymore - cut cost - keep jobs!
Ok it is that time no matter what washer and dryer say. I can't keep my eyes open any longer.
Will check out comments on the wing flapping competition between parent and child. When i fcome back in.
Is Lib showing Hidey how he should be doing it. He just finished flapping his wings (which caused her to duck to avoid being hit), and then when he finished, she started flapping her wings and jumping around the nest as if to say, "this is how to do it." It was neat!
I think that was Liberty in the nest...he just left
Want to try to check out any DC Fonz news on our Maybe Soon To Be Panda Momma.
Hedgie found a comment last night that they were putting her in "Lock Down"
DANA----Before you leave----PLEASE TAKE YOUR HAIR DRYER to our nest!!
ho!----Wishing you a pain free nap!!
Yes, that was cute, wasn't it Joy
Welcome!
Hi Joy - I think it was an "In Nest Lesson of Flapping"! Be sure you click on Paula's avatar and watch some of the videos that have been captured!
Fly in!
Thanks Paula,
I'm new to the eagle cam . . . just ran across the address as a link from some other website - this is really enjoyable, could spend hours watching. When it's too hot or weather to bad to watch the blue bird nests in my own back yard, it can sit in the cool AC and watch this one.
I am assuming that our SOUND is still DOWN.
Do you think BELLE wants 'BIG BIRD' to fly!!!--Keeps pushing her around??
Looks like Belle has arrived!
Where do I find Paula's avatar?
Deb - what is your weather there today?
Any paddling or pics being taken.
I really love those turtles - and especially the pheasant.
LOL, Belle is tenting over the bowl.
Click on my name...then scroll down to the eagletmomsters blog.
Where are you Joy? Sounds warm and sunny!
MORNIN' JOY!---I wanted to say---(it's a joy to have you)---but I am sure you have heard that before!!---WONDERFUL to have you join the EAGLE MOMSTERS!!!
No, Jo, I really do need to get stuff done at home today. I am one of the laundry crew today.
Oh yeah, laundry...bbs
South Carolina weather sounds great to me!
BWE Update -
05/03/09:
We're seeing the occasional image where neither eaglet is present in the nest. We think it's a little early for either bird to be flying, but we've asked our Refuge staff to keep an eye on the TV monitor at the Refuge for any clear flying/landing activity.
Incoming! Lib brought brunch!!
Joy There are others that have these personal blogs - just click on names & then you can back arrow to return to the Eagle Cam Blog!
Enjoy your weather today.
Hope Lolly from TX didn't blow away last night..
Repeat of our Nest Weather:
SundayShowers likely in the morning...then showers in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 50s. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent.
MondayShowers likely. Highs around 60. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
Monday NightShowers likely. Lows around 50. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent. AMEN
Hidey didn't try to mantle it this time with Belle in the nest...She was first on it!
It seems---most every day is laundry day!!-----DEB!---Do your dogs notice that you are gone every day?----
Hidey is looking at Belle like, well aren't you going to tear that thing up now?
Lib checking on his little (big & growing) girl! She is really doing well.
Love it when I see the feathers blowing.
They are sometimes so still you think the cam is frozen...
Parent at BWE with fish!
Parent at BWE is eating....
Can still only see parent and 1 chick at BWE
BWE - can only see parent now.
I'm back. It rained the whole time but a nice crowd. I spoke to Helen she is still in a lot of pain. BBL
Yes, Norma, my dogs notice I am gone, especially Abbie, the black one.
Glad you liked all the turtles, Jo, and the Pheasant. I think there are 22 turtles in the one pictures.
Ceil, thanks for the update and Congrats on the walk. Helen, I sure wish you could find some relief from the pain!
Both eaglets visible at BWE - parent gone
Belle and Hidey still at the launchpad with the fish...
Ceil - Great Job! How far did you walk? Thanks for the update on Mits. Hope you told her we were all concerned about her!
Fixing breakfast...bbialw
Thanks Ceil! You're a real Trooper walking in the rain! Hope you get a hot tub bath & take the chill away.
Now - still sending up prayers for Mits' comfort and healing. This 4 days of pain - Mits just doesn't deserve all that!
I had an early breakfast cereal but now I need real food! Brunch food!
Norma I hope you can make it out to eat your ramps!
BBL Scrambled eggs maybe!!! Uhmmmmmmm.
Lynn Here is the info on our Panda:
The Panda House will be closed until further notice. We don't know whether Mei Xiang is pregnant but due to her her early estrus and the Zoo's large spring crowds, Zoo staff made this decision to give her a quiet environment. Thanks for your understanding.
Scientists at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo detected the start of the decline in urinary progestin levels in the Zoo’s female giant panda Mei Xiang (may-SHONG). This hormone decline indicates that Mei Xiang’s reproductive cycle will be concluding fairly soon. Animal keepers report that she has been spending more time in her den and cradles objects as she would a cub. Staff does not know whether or not Mei Xiang is pregnant or experiencing a pseudopregnancy, or false pregnancy, which is common in giant pandas.
Starting this evening, Zoo volunteers will monitor Mei Xiang on the panda cam 24 hours. I really wish Mits gets in on this before we should get out little stick of butter!
Yes Margy WHERE ARE YOU?
BBL
Thanks, Jo.
Most definitely praying for Mits to feel better soon....know she doesn't want to miss out on any of the "watch" that she may be lucky enough to get assigned for!
OMGoodness I just saw the 2 eggs in the nest at Finney on the Water.....
WHoo HOo. And I remembered I could take a pic...... Wow! Suz will be happy!
Both adults our nest. Looks like a good delivery, but it is kind of small.
You can see the eggs at the Finland water nest!
Dang, and just like that, she got back on the eggs.
My next load is ready, too.
Too bad about Jack Kemp passing. Always thought he was such a handsome man.
Split is coming!Looks like not much has changed, except the eagles positions in the nest...fishy still there...
I think they closed the panda house last week or the week before....Mits mentioned it on here.
WAX!!---LOLLY---
