Thanks all for the great info on the "after fledging". I appreciate all you have taught me about eagles over these past few weeks. I have been watching another site (from NJ, my home state) where there are three eaglets. It is very hard to watch how they bully each other around after getting so use to watching Hidey and her adorable antics with no "in-nest" violence.

LAYNE---If there were 3 at our nest this year---one would see the same 'in house fighting & pecking'!----OUR LITTLE ONE IS A WEE BIT SPOILED!!---But that's what makes her so lovable!!! ho!
Paula.. yup... Dukes Farms. One of those Eaglets is a real bully though!! Always showing dominance. But they are certainly growing nicely. I really thought the little gray one (not gray anymore) was not going to survive, and she is thriving nicely now.

Norma... now that I have gotten "into" this eagle watching, I have learned about what you said... "fighting and pecking", but my first encounter was with Hidey, so now I was spoiled as well as Hidey!!! LOL
She certainly is a spoiled little one. I loved watching her test the waters with her parents over the past few days... pecking at them!
Wanda if you go call someone on your cell that is watching the cam. So that way you can ask them if they are seeing anything.

Hi, Everybody, I've been watching for about 20 minutes. Thought I just heard something hit the camera, and a bit of a noise. Could Hidey be up under the camera? Seems like that happened yesterday or the day before... Hope the rascal is still close by!

I forgot to thank you guys for the pix from last weekend (I think I saw Paula's?). They (and others before it) really put everything into context with the nest cam.
Maybe on the live video at NCTC..on the tape there. They can find the fledge.

Sissy is selling at the flea market this morning. I called her and now she is watching from the flea market.
Those of you who have been there . . . isn't that the river in the upper right hand corner? It was easier to see when there weren't leaves on the trees, but I have always thought it was the river. Also, how long might it take Wanda to get there?
Stronghunter, the river is actually way back behind where the camera is. When you are at NCTC, you can see the parents flying up over the hill from the river. Awesome sight.
I need Wanda to report in. I have to go find fleas.

I was watching last night and saw Hidey lying in the nest about midnight. Like everyone else, I woke up this morning and found an empty nest about 7.
I do hear interesting little sounds now, though.
All 5 Kestrels are still in the box. I hear something by the cam.
Oh Norma, Becky . . . everyone. Hidey did steal our hearts... now will he/she bring it back?
I hope Wanda can call someone from the nest who can transcribe and put it online for all of us.

Now that is one of the white dogs barking. Someone must be at the curve in road. By where the guard lives. We have watched the nest many time from that curve in the road.
I have my sound turned W-A-A-A-Y up, and just heard what sounds like wings hitting the camera. I bet Hidey is doing what Hidey does best-- hiding!
Sharon great signal for cell phones at nest. Remember when I use to go down and called Nilla. She would type on here what I was seeing.

Maybe only Sprint cell phones. That is what I had and called. When she went there she would call and I would tell her what I was seeing in nest. She would tell me what she was seeing and I would type that here for her. She had Sprint also.
I had a signal on my verizon phone...she probably forgot her phone and camera!

I just think if she were still in that nest, that she would be taking full advantage of the wind and doing some wing flapping.

Eagle shadow just now over the nest?

I just a shadow go by like at 12 o'clock and to the left. Nothing, think it was leaves blowing. Thelma thinks I am crazy and that very well could be. Going blind watching at 6 o'clock for any movement. I have to go. I need somebody to let me know when Wanda reports back in. I sent Lynn and Dana my phone numbers. Lynn just said she would call. I will check in from Sissy's computer at the flea market.

Upon close inspection, could it be that Hidey is branching at about 10:00-- almost hidden by leaves? There's a dark spot there. The tree trunk kind of obstructs our view, too. Can't remember what's down on the ground, but whatever the dark spot is, it looks closer.
Sharon I got them too put in my phone. If you need I can call or Lynn can let me know.
Dark spot at 10:00 looks interesting. It moves with the wind like something on the branch. I zoomed in on it.

Good Morning All - On this very very special day! This is the big 11th week event in Hidey's life! Hidey has everyone's attention. I just knew this was going to happen one morning when I signed in and No Hidey to be seen. Anxiously awaiting Wanda's report

Wonder what it's called when baby squirrels leave their nest? I have a whole lot of little ones running around that I haven't seen before! Crows are out there, too--hope they aren't planning on snatching any.
Hey all... Stopped back in and I see no word from Wanda yet, and no Hidey yet? As far as the comment about the shadow at 10:00 a.m., I persontally think if that was Hidey we would have heard her... either her usual whining or even the flapping her wings she loves to do.

Every sound I hear from the cam - I jump! My blood sugar is great this am but can't vouch for my blood pressure!
Well, seek and ye shall find....a squirrel nest is called a drey, and they are about 10 wks. old when they leave the drey...so guess we can say they de-drey!!

I'M BAAAACK! Wow, what a beautiful morning to go to the Sycamore Tree. Could not see Hidey, but Belle is above the nest looking out for Hidey. The leaves are so full and dense now, that I could barely se the nest. I could see something near the cam that could have been Hidey, but whever he is, he's probably afraid to move and won't for awhihle. I forgot my memory stick to my camera!!@#$&**!
DEB---I checked the KESTRELS earlier---Saw a couple with open eyes---
