I used to work at a bank too, Vicky, and we got a lot of holidays off. But, when we got back to work, we had MOUNDS of work to catch up on!! It didn't seem worth it, sometimes.
Forgot to tell you...on Friday, Gene saw an Eagle near Rocky Marsh Run, on his way to Shepherdstown. It must have been Lib, looking for a TROUT for Belle, for Valentine's Day. She surely is getting tired of Catfish & Carp!
Well, those were wonderful things to view from Deb and Loretta!
Thanks, Wanda - I appreciate that I have friends in HIGH places that know how to find me!
Grandson is awake now, we just looked at the Deb's and Loretta's pictures, and OUR Eagles, and the Turkeys....he loves them all, but he wants to go to type now, and we we will be leaving for Frostburg soon....
I looked at BRS's cam Saturday night and the truck was moving somewhere in town. Cam was turned to the right off the street so far I could see the passenger side mirror. At first I thought someone had taken his truck but notice it's parked at a TS again. Guess everything is alright.

Here is the post from Zoo Atlanta this morning. I keep praying to open that page up one day and see a live cam, but not today!
Monday, February 16 Today’s update will be about a subject everyone loves – sleep! Because the giant pandas spend quite a bit of their time sleeping, it is very easy to see that they differ in the location and position that they prefer. Lun seems to prefer to sleep off of the ground, especially when she is in dayroom. Of course now that she has Xi Lan, she does spend most of her time on the ground when she sleeps, so she can sleep with him. Yang is the exact opposite of Lun. He prefers to sleep on the ground, either in a loose ball or completely sprawled out. What makes his sleeping habits so amusing is that most of the time when he dozes off, he will have what we call a “snaggle tooth”. His top lip will slowly curl up and he will have his top, right canine exposed. When Mei Lan was a cub she preferred to sleep up in the dayroom tree structure. She would sprawl out in the middle of the vertical tree branch. What is interesting now is that her brother sleeps up in that same tree, but prefers a totally different spot. Xi Lan wedges himself under and in between the structure’s logs. Now that Mei Lan is older she almost sleeps in an identical way to Lun, by finding a nice spot off of the ground. I’m curious to see how Xi Lan’s sleeping preferences will change as he gets older. Who knew there were so many different ways a panda could sleep? Nevertheless, they all do share a single preference when it comes to sleeping: a good sleep is a really, really, long sleep! Lynn Culver Carnviore Keeper I
Hello Everyone!☺ ♥ ☺ Just checking in--have dental appt. They're NOT off today! BOO Late last night was watching PA Pix & car saeat or whatever looked almost deflated or maybe gone!? Gotta check it in daylight & see what's up, then get ready to roll. Have a great day!
NORMA UPDATE Just got off the phone with Sunshine gal Norma! She has been under the weather and Dr has her on antibiotic. Said she is starting to feel a little better but is going back to Dr again to get all better! Said Hi to all
Good Morning; Well today is another good day with lots of sun.I have been keeping check on the new eagles nest and there has not been any activity so far this year,I will keep check for a while longer and if nothing happens i will remove it from my Blog. The older nest is doing great with the eagles sitting eggs.I hope that everyone has a great PRESIDENTS DAY.
My 50th birthday is in a month. I told Tom I was getting a panda tattoo on my ankle. He flipped!! I was kinda joking but now I am thinking maybe I will. Kind of a midlife crisis thing!
This is true, Mits. But Sher is more prone to that than me. But still, if anything could go wrong, it probably would. But, boy, it sure did get a rise out of Tom. That by itself is priceless!
Me and Mattie and another niece got henna tattoos at the beach one time. I had Tom's name on my chest with a heart. My mom lost it, she thought it was real. That was fun.
Thanks for the Red-Tail link, Deb. This time I'm getting a picture, perhaps still pic. But I'm not sure how many chicks there are; I can only see one head. There could be another one on the other side of all that fluff.
One just went back to the nest....not sure which one....I'm having terrible buffering from there today...must be all the folks at home watching the cams!
It started raining in San Diego again, and both Bai and ZZ are on the move. Thought they were going indoors, but they just found something else to amuse themselves.
I just got home from some errands. Jim, I don't think there are any chicks at the Red-tailed Hawk site yet. The eggs were laid starting on March 18th last year.

Good late day greeting to all on Presidents' Day!! Everyone seems to be having fun! I spent the am doing my daughters' taxes, and then they all came over and moved some wood under shelter for me, and helped me "post" the logging road on the back of my lot to try to keep those nasty 4-wheelers off my property. SIL could not believe how much damage they had done last weekend in one "trespass". Get well wishes to GeeGee and Miss Norma!!!!
Deb and Paula...my new camera came!!!! Still figuring out the various setttings, etc., but LOVE the 18X zoom! I THINK it will do trick. Kids did not mind that the one they gave me for Christmas wouldn't work for what I want. AND.....youngest SIL's mother got a small laptop free when she got her new puter, and she says she will trade it for the camera! Pretty cool deal!
Good late afternoon everyone. I actually reound my kitchen counters today. Theu sort of suffer for weeks in a row during the winter but my close feathered friends are spreading out across the river and wll soon be heading on out of here.
Hedgie, I had 4 wheelers on my property too. Followed them home in my truck and did donuts in their yard. Parents came out and we discussed things. No more 4 wheelers on my property.. lol
Good for you, Red!!! Proud of you! These yokels actually did the donuts right "under my nose" so to speak as I was waving them away and screaming at them...which I'm sure they didn't hear! Paula, new camera DOES have a viewfinder in addition to screen!
Good Afternoon to all my great eagle friends.I didn't do to much to day outside because i had some house work that needed to be done YUK-YUK,a MR.homemaker i am not.I did get some of it done,+ some laundry.Tomarrow i will get out and check on the eagles.Hi Glo glad to here from and glad you got things up and runing.

Hi Thelma! Know you enjoyed your snow while it lasted! Does Buddy like it?? Dave, sorry to hear that your "new" nest may be inacctive...boo. Yes, Deb, I thought it said it did, but Paula must have missed it as she had commented that it didn't have it.
I am so excited..I've been wanting to try to identify the hawks hubby and me see. Today I was able to identify a Coopers Hawk. It is all because of Loretta's picture. Oh thank you so so much Loretta.
Deb I couldn't get the Screech Owl....nothing came up??

Lynn - sounds like you made out like a bandit! You must be living right!
Loved your escapade of Doin' Donuts, Red! There is always more then one way to get your point across! Thanks goodness the parents were open minded and didn't blow your tires out! lol
Jo, I just think they are having problems with it, the still cam only has a quarter of its pic, and the live cam is black, should not be pitch dark there yet...so chalk it up to their problems
Yes, Wanda - My brain froze!!!! Got it also after the 4th try ... Once I listened to what it was I was told to do....... I need to do this at least 3 times daily!!! lol
when I do the cams, I always like to show them too, Jo, no one has said anything to me yet...there are 40 plus cams in the cam room and when I see them, just have to show them.
Jo, GeeGee is still not feeling well. She is nauseated, has been for two days. She may have the bug that has been going around. Gave her some meds and she went back to sleep. Doctor visit soon if she's not better. (Thanks for asking)

The Hummingbird chick has fledged.
Apparently, it was late yesterday, because I watched it part of yesterday without seeing any practice flaps or anything.

Deb I have watched the Screech Owl in Box twice. It is on Quick time and takes a little while to open - I loved it!
OK eagle getting the fluff up around her body. Fluff must make it Air Tight!!
OK also just did an egg roll as I was

MT nest at Maine, but night light is on, quiet night there.
I deleted the Screech Owl, saw Jo's post and put it back up. Off to dinner. BBL
At least the snow in ME is clearing out

There is always more then one way to get your point across! Thanks goodness the parents were open minded and didn't blow your tires out! lol
Deb - slow motion video was GREAT!
Anxious to hear about the ZOO TRIP from Lolly and Jack! That had to be great
fun for the boys also.
Jo, I just think they are having problems with it, the still cam only has a quarter of its pic, and the live cam is black, should not be pitch dark there yet...so chalk it up to their problems
thank heavens, the parents did not blow Red away.
still raining at CALTRANS
Jo on the SCREECH OWL maybe you can get the URL off your player and put it on here for us to try.

when I do the cams, I always like to show them too, Jo, no one has said anything to me yet...there are 40 plus cams in the cam room and when I see them, just have to show them.
Jo, GeeGee is still not feeling well. She is nauseated, has been for two days. She may have the bug that has been going around. Gave her some meds and she went back to sleep. Doctor visit soon if she's not better. (Thanks for asking)
