I guess the blogger cop is off today too, and his sitting his blogger butt, right here, the old blog kept not responding, what a pain.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I had that first thing this morning Helen. Pain in the behind!!

Costume Lady said...

I used to work at a bank too, Vicky, and we got a lot of holidays off. But, when we got back to work, we had MOUNDS of work to catch up on!! It didn't seem worth it, sometimes.

Mits said...

could not get back onto old blog for anything....going to reboot to see if it makes things better

Kooky blog...some avatars are blank and Wanda, yours has a little box with a Red X on it....
I guess it will straighten up.

Sure enjoyed reading the Blog posts I missed...grandson is still sleeping so I get a little time to play

magpie said...

Saw a switch our nest when I first opened up ten mins ago, but did not get a glimpse of the eggs.

I wonder if those gobblers are gobbling as well as strutting in Pa...

magpie said...

A few gobblers and a WHOLE bunch of hens...

Sounded like everyone had a pretty good day Sunday....that's always nice to read about ☺

think I'll go check Deb's and Loretta's photos, back in a few, got to go to the old thread to do it

Mits said...

pain in the butt is right, Sissy!

Costume Lady said...

MARGY, I was going to stop by your apt. on my way to GeeGee's today...thought you were MIA! REALLY. Did you have an excused abscense??

Costume Lady said...

Red, I am off everyday too, so I tell myself:)

Costume Lady said...

Forgot to tell you...on Friday, Gene saw an Eagle near Rocky Marsh Run, on his way to Shepherdstown. It must have been Lib, looking for a TROUT for Belle, for Valentine's Day. She surely is getting tired of Catfish & Carp!

Costume Lady said...

We saw a Coyote in our woods, once again. Hope he is looking for Groundhogs! They love our garden and burrow under my shop.

Costume Lady said...

Have to find some breakfast and head into GeeGee's. She wasn't doing very well yesterday. Have a good day...be back later.

magpie said...

Well, those were wonderful things to view from Deb and Loretta!

Thanks, Wanda - I appreciate that I have friends in HIGH places that know how to find me!

Grandson is awake now, we just looked at the Deb's and Loretta's pictures, and OUR Eagles, and the Turkeys....he loves them all, but he wants to go to type now, and we we will be leaving for Frostburg soon....

Good Day Wishes to All !! xo ☺ ♥

magpie said...

Wanda.... I hope all will be well with GeeGee...Prayers, for her and all...

I looked at BRS's cam Saturday night and the truck was moving somewhere in town. Cam was turned to the right off the street so far I could see the passenger side mirror. At first I thought someone had taken his truck but notice it's parked at a TS again. Guess everything is alright.

Here is the post from Zoo Atlanta this morning. I keep praying to open that page up one day and see a live cam, but not today!

Monday, February 16
Today’s update will be about a subject everyone loves – sleep! Because the giant pandas spend quite a bit of their time sleeping, it is very easy to see that they differ in the location and position that they prefer. Lun seems to prefer to sleep off of the ground, especially when she is in dayroom. Of course now that she has Xi Lan, she does spend most of her time on the ground when she sleeps, so she can sleep with him. Yang is the exact opposite of Lun. He prefers to sleep on the ground, either in a loose ball or completely sprawled out. What makes his sleeping habits so amusing is that most of the time when he dozes off, he will have what we call a “snaggle tooth”. His top lip will slowly curl up and he will have his top, right canine exposed. When Mei Lan was a cub she preferred to sleep up in the dayroom tree structure. She would sprawl out in the middle of the vertical tree branch. What is interesting now is that her brother sleeps up in that same tree, but prefers a totally different spot. Xi Lan wedges himself under and in between the structure’s logs. Now that Mei Lan is older she almost sleeps in an identical way to Lun, by finding a nice spot off of the ground. I’m curious to see how Xi Lan’s sleeping preferences will change as he gets older. Who knew there were so many different ways a panda could sleep? Nevertheless, they all do share a single preference when it comes to sleeping: a good sleep is a really, really, long sleep!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

This is true, Mits. But Sher is more prone to that than me. But still, if anything could go wrong, it probably would. But, boy, it sure did get a rise out of Tom. That by itself is priceless!

Norfolk eagle calling out!

paula eagleholic said...

All's calm at NBG

movin said...

I didn't read a report on it, so I'll do it....

The Hummingbird chick has fledged.

Apparently, it was late yesterday, because I watched it part of yesterday without seeing any practice flaps or anything.

Nest is empty now. It was almost a month from hatching to fledging this time. Don't know why, unless the food source is not as plentiful now.

Good late day greeting to all on Presidents' Day!!
Everyone seems to be having fun!
I spent the am doing my daughters' taxes, and then they all came over and moved some wood under shelter for me, and helped me "post" the logging road on the back of my lot
to try to keep those nasty 4-wheelers off my property. SIL could not believe how much damage they had done last weekend in one "trespass".
Get well wishes to GeeGee and Miss Norma!!!!

AND.....youngest SIL's mother got a small laptop free when she got her new puter, and she says she will trade it for the camera! Pretty cool deal!
