I suspect so... just speed-read the posts, was most interested in finding a report on GeeGee, which I just see. Wanda, could it be middle ear infection? sure they checked on that, but that can make one dizzy and nauseated, hope Lady GeeGee will be good as new soon!
Also: Thanks for the post regarding Norma, but so sorry to hear she has been ill also....
I see that empty little hummingbird nest, and just missed the egg roll when I brought up NCTC 15 mins ago.
My trip to Frostburg was Stellar! 90 miles from here to there, seamless journey, no problems, some active snow flurries, and the ride through Sideling Hill was an adventure for the grandson. My brother has a terrific train set up, a bedroom converted for trains and trains only, removed closet door, and made two tunnels going into same, has all kinds of accessories with bells and whistles and a train master who comes out to greet the trains with a lantern, livestock cars, lumber cars, all kinds of locomotives and other things...we were just a bunch of happy kids for quite some time....all three of us..!
Phooey, Deb, thought I had saved Oregon site, so when you have nothing else to do but post blue links for people like me, could you do that for me? I will check that AND your videos after the tubby, then I will have it forevermore... seems last time I tried to open it I had a problem anyway. Thanks ! ☺
Are your TV's going digital now or in June?? I was just reading that many people had not been able to get their converters yet, so the deadline had been extended.
San Diego seems to be one area that is converting now, but I don't know about Santa Ana.
I haven't had my TV hooked up for several years because the cable bill rises steeply every time you blink. But we have Time Warner now, and I think I might see if they have a more affordable package for my use.
I give up on the Screech Owl. It worked before dinner, doesn't work after. I think it is because it is on the NE Bird site and it might be set up for viewing on the NE site only. I don't get why it works for a while and then quits.
I have no clue, Jim. I have a dish. I was wondering why it was extended...didn't realize there was a problem getting the converters. Must have been a last minute rush, they've been talking about it on TV for a year here.
the President and congress wanted it extended....some TV stations want to go ahead, but the FCC is telling them no, at least the TV station I watch at the beach said they were not going to extend to June, and, FCC said, yes you are.
JIM some tv stations here are going ahead and changing over. They already had it scheduled for techs. to do. So those will NOT be analog anymore (whichever ones change now).
I cut all extras off my Cable bill almost a year ago, because I was hardly watching any of it...thanks to all all the cams and sites on here! I pay about 21 bucks a month, and might upgrade "someday" when I find I don't find enough entertainment on here! I DO miss some of the channels...but I like the little bit of extra moola I save every month.
Let me try Oregon now, even though I know it will be dark...
A couple of the stations here are going ahead with the switch to digital. They had everything ready to go and it is too expensive for them to change the timing.
I am highly irritated about the conversion. I've been ready for months, and now, apparently, some stations that were running digital have taken them down...so had to disconnect the converter box in order to get those channels in analog. Antenna reception is my safety-net for when the weather interferes with the satellite, which happens most often during thunderstorms or heavy snowstorms.
we have 2 TV's that need converter boxes, an old TV here in my office, and the one on the kitchen table, was going to change them to cable but, hoping to move out of here in the next couple of years, and I really only watch some shows at night.
TV Stations Denied Permission For Feb. 17 Switchover The FCC has told 123 stations previously approved for the Feb. 17 switchover to digital that they now can't shut off their analog signals unless they agree to certain conditions. Note: Data as of Feb. 12.
about 500 plus across the country going digital tomorrow.
I went and checked the "Forum that never Sleeps". The female owl has not been on the nest for quite some time. It has been the male who has been seen. Everyone is wondering where the female is. Apparently she got caught in the plant at one time, so maybe that is where she is now. Hope so. Male was in the nest at 6:30, but did not get on the eggs.
Their names are Dan and Snowflake. I found an Owl Forum.
Oh, one last thought: Hedgie With your new camera, you can ZOOM in on those four-wheeling trespassers and maybe get some good identification on them for prosecuting purposes, maybe?
Maine Forum is sure the female is missing, Valmont Forum is sure the male is missing. Maine, of course, has pictures to prove their point of view. Everyone is pretty much in agreement that the eggs are probably no longer viable. They have been alone more that attended in the last 48 hours.
I am saddened by the news of the CO Valmont owl cam. There are a lot of followers and we'll hate to see the eggs not hatch. I so hope they find Lady Valmont but as they say the eggs may not make it.
Mason has come a long way...but still has a long way to go. With the love and patience of his parents, family and friends, he will get there some day, God willing:)
my tiny url's just are not working anymore, would not be surprised if verizon, does not have its sticky fingers on it for security. Was trying to put up an article about the Portland red-tails, but the story with video is on its site
Size is the best way. Maine is comparing tail pictures, their tails look different in this pair. I guess this happened two years ago, and they laid another set of eggs that hatched.
Looks like everyone is going to bed just as I get on. Have been reading through the blog.
Had a great day today. Not many people were at the zoo, so that made for easy viewing. The boys were able to get up close and personal with the white tiger and the male silver back gorilla. Usually there is as crowd at those viewing spots.
I think ... on the TV thing ... they thought a lot more people would opt for the newer TV's, which are set up for HD, so there have not been enough converters built to cover the demand.
I was thinking of getting the LCD type myself, but I have a fairly unused cathode tube TV, which I could get more years out of, so ....
Also, I recently read that the newer types use a lot more power than the cathode ray old-timers. That shocked my jowls. I didn't think anything would be less efficient than those old tubes.
I think the cams that seemed stuck are unstuck now...looks like Belle is resting peacefully.
Eggs at Valmont still untended, but they seem a little farther apart from each other. So Sad... Maybe another clutch at another place, that would be nice.
View at Finney's is stunning this morning, looks like some new things in the nest, some fluff, and some ice forming in the waters.
Hope everyone has a good day, and that those with illness, find relief and comfort soon.
Good morning everyone. Biscuits and sausage is good. Now I have to Shower, Shave and put on clean duds so I can go to the Senior Center for the first day of my Computer Graphic course.

Mema-Momma
Thank you for checking with Norma....sure will be ecstatic to see her cheery greetings appear on here soon !
A day without Norma, is like a day with sunshine !

LW is kinda choppy - think they brought food into the nest...
one on the branch now. one in the nest
and no color at LW for me :(
Man oh man! Just in time for the HP
night light just came on LW
serves me right for being such a chatterbox, I missed the HP :(
And now, both are gone :(
Whew, it was nice to see them though ! ANY eagle is nice to see
Maybe there will be some HP at Valmont! But I will miss that too because it is time to drown some bubbles.
TTFN "see" you all later xoxo
EAGLE IN OR!!
Going to investigate TV schedule for this evening.I may be right back here
within minutes.
BBL
Now both eagles in OR.
Phooey, Deb, thought I had saved Oregon site, so when you have nothing else to do but post blue links for people like me, could you do that for me? I will check that AND your videos after the tubby, then I will have it forevermore...

Thanks ! ☺
One in tree, one in nest in OR.
Oregon
Oh, Glo. "Found" your kitchen counters. That makes a lot more sense than anything I imagined you said earlier.
C(°ٿ°)D
Jim
Day is just about done in OR, it will be dark to fly away from the nest. Maybe they spend the night nearby.
eagle just took off at OR

Duplicate action ERROR - new one on me!
the President and congress wanted it extended....some TV stations want to go ahead, but the FCC is telling them no, at least the TV station I watch at the beach said they were not going to extend to June, and, FCC said, yes you are.
we have had commercials up the wazoo the last 18 months, you had to be living in a cave not to know about it.
eagle up, cam is herky, jerky
JIM some tv stations here are going ahead and changing over. They already had it scheduled for techs. to do. So those will NOT be analog anymore (whichever ones change now).
egg turn and back down
Another egg turn, Belle is soooo fragile and delicate with those eggs.....
eggs still exposed at Valmont
Whoa Jim !
That is NOT what I meant to say, thanks for being my editor:
So here is what I meant:
A day without Norma is like a day WITHOUT sunshine !!

I hear ya on the extra stuff, Margy...getting rid of some of it on my phone bill right now...
A couple of the stations here are going ahead with the switch to digital. They had everything ready to go and it is too expensive for them to change the timing.
Good catch, Jim, on Margy's post!!!
I hate the stoopied verizon website...now it won't let me change internet services....
The cable and dish companies are really putting out some good deals right now, trying to get all those analog folks to switch over...
HA! Guess existing customers are helping to pay for those promo rates...bill just went up $3 for dish!
The GHOW has been off the eggs since 2 o'clock Mountain time. Almost 8 there now.
isn't that unusual for the owl to be gone that long during the daylight hours.
Deb Wonder what's up with that at Valmont?
I just viewed your Red-tailed video and also the three eggs from what I guess was today? Wowie-Zowie!
Thanks for the Oregon site, but all is dark and I won't know if I can see anything until tomorrow night after work I guess.....
we have 2 TV's that need converter boxes, an old TV here in my office, and the one on the kitchen table, was going to change them to cable but, hoping to move out of here in the next couple of years, and I really only watch some shows at night.
By the way, ISS is making some good passovers, however, in the early morning hours in the coming days ! Some bright ones coming up

about 500 plus across the country going digital tomorrow.
I noticed that, Margy, maybe a little too early for me
I would think it is unusual for the hawk to be gone that long. It is only 41 in Denver right now, not sure where the nest box is. I'll have to look.
It is in Boulder, 40 degrees there.
Sorry, meant owl, not hawk.
I'm afraid we all be a bunch of worried Mother Hens about that Valmont Owl cam, I keep switching to see, no parents...
I need to check out now, work time comes early for me Tuesday...
Good Night Eagle ♀ and ♂ People.
Sleep Sweetly.
Peace, Love and Prayers xo ♥

Valmont Owl Forum
Lady Valmont - If you go back on your daily pics you will see it not to be unusual for her to be gone this long.
I'm trying to see what she did yesterday evening...... They are 2 hrs earlier them us.......
Thanks Deb - Last year I think one of the fledgings got stuck inside the plant and they got it out.
I need to read some of the forum..
Oh, one last thought:
Hedgie
With your new camera, you can ZOOM in on those four-wheeling trespassers and maybe get some good identification on them for prosecuting purposes, maybe?
And also, is Norma's computer up and running yet?
Thanks and Good Night Again..xoxo
Phooey, might as well mention that the Fox is at the carcass site
Maine Forum is sure the female is missing, Valmont Forum is sure the male is missing. Maine, of course, has pictures to prove their point of view.
Everyone is pretty much in agreement that the eggs are probably no longer viable. They have been alone more that attended in the last 48 hours.
That's too bad, Deb.
Hopefully they won't be back, Margy! We blocked off the logging road, and posted signs!!
Margy, glad you mentioned the fox...I finally got to see him, if only for a moment. The carcass is nourishing a lot of wildlife.
Mason's Update
Lynn, your new camera sounds similar to mine. I haven't had a chance to really try it out yet.
wow, Deb there is a bunch of info out there about the owls, that is too bad:(
good one Deb, "the forum that never sleeps"...lol
I am saddened by the news of the CO Valmont owl cam. There are a lot of followers and we'll hate to see the eggs not hatch. I so hope they find Lady Valmont but as they say the eggs may not make it.
what an amazing comeback he is making, hope he gets there soon:)
Mason has come a long way...but still has a long way to go. With the love and patience of his parents, family and friends, he will get there some day, God willing:)
Wish there were some photos posted along with the comments about Mason.
Megan hasn't been on here for a while. I hope she doesn't have the BUG!
I was looking for Megan earlier
Need to see those pink peonies!
I am almost ready to call it quits
Daughter coming by in the morning to visit
Wanda, we'll both get to try them out on the 26th!!!
my tiny url's just are not working anymore, would not be surprised if verizon, does not have its sticky fingers on it for security. Was trying to put up an article about the Portland red-tails, but the story with video is on its site
her daughter was probably off from school today, and maybe they did something fun.
Sorry to hear about the owls...how do you tell them apart? Is it as hard as eagles? Size?
Size is the best way. Maine is comparing tail pictures, their tails look different in this pair. I guess this happened two years ago, and they laid another set of eggs that hatched.
Mits, you changed your avatar again!!! This one is good, too.
this is Mei Xiang, eating bamboo
Jim, are you getting the bad weather I'm hearing about??? Of course, is rain ever really bad for you? Sure beats the fires!
Thanks, Deb.
Heading to bed...long day. Catch ya'll on the flipside.
Hugs to all ♥
finally got a chance to see Margy's platform picture, not bad for taking a pic from a little camera while train is moving.
TTYAT! good night:)
Disturbing Facebook news....not sure about that site....maybe I will take myself off of it.....anyone have any thoughts?
Well, then I'm going to call it a day, too! See you gals and guys tomorrow! Blessings and prayers.
Lynn, I have never been able to get set up on facebook...it shuts my 'puter down?? Don't think I am going to try anymore.
Glad Margy and grandson had a fun day...and the train set-up sounds wonderful. I'll bet the little one didn't want to leave:)
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL
I forgot that Megan said a while back that she would be busy today the 16th!
Good Night All
Prayers for everyone's needs being said

So, NBG did not get a 3rd egg today?
Up for a ladies' room break...think our views still and live are, shall we say, stuck?
Maybe things will look better in a few hours...I hope.
Hi Lolly Bye Lolly if you are still up...xo
**GOOD NIGHT**
**ALL OF YOU**

New Thread Kids!
Good morning everyone. Biscuits and sausage is good. Now I have to Shower, Shave and put on clean duds so I can go to the Senior Center for the first day of my Computer Graphic course.
The live Eagle-Cam is so exciting! I love watching them when they both are at the nest. This nest rocks!!
