Morning, gang! Getting ready for a panda nap...got up at 6...out the door at 8 to meet Bill for breakfast...couldn't get out of my development....interesection was SO-O-O ice-covered...and on a slope...I was going 5 mph w/ my right wheels off the pavement, and I was sliding. Chickened out and managed to back up to a driveway and turned around and came back home. Booo... Norma, my bean soup was delicious, as I'm sure Red's and Anne Marie's was....Megan did spaghetti! Jim, are the warm desert winds the ones that pose the biggest fire risk? Heard last night that the Th. quake was a 4.- something. Footage on your NBC station showed people running out of a mall. (I had taped something on west coast station/time that evening).
Hi ho, Hi ho, off to work I go. Speaking of work...Margy seems to be having a busy day. No phone number for highway dept. in book, so I called 911 on non-emergency line to have them get DOH out to salt....but Margy wasn't who answered! BBL.
I had sound yesterday for a long time while I watched. Today, it doesn't stay on long even with a refresh. Then I'm afraid that I will miss the birds actions.
Well guess I'll read a little while. I stopped at the library on my way home from school to get some large print books. Still haven't started them yet. Can't wait to see when the eagles stay all night on the nest. I checked in last night around 2:30am when I couldn's sleepand the nest was MT> BBL
Got home from church and going this afternoon to Laurel's. Got a phone call a little while ago. Thought it was Joseph, but it was Jacob. He made his first phone call ever to me! Of course, he was self conscious and talked nonsense. Laurel is preparing dinner and birthday dessert for me, so will not be on this evening.
Thanks Mits! This is one time I do not have work to do when I go up there. I am usually the one preparing the meal and I always have a job or Jack has a job. ha! We continue to spoil our kids, but Laurel works, and I know I would have appreciated any help while raising a family. Also, we spoiled them....but they are spoiling us right back! LOL
I added some pictures from today. The last three were taken from quite a distance, so the focus isn't too good, but fun shots of eagle, a red tail and a crow.
Good evening everyone. I am in Bedford and have been absolutely a lazy bum today. I did make it out to WalMart and Tractor Supply a while ago but looking forward to bedtime now.

Deb, great pics. You are so fortunate to be able to see all these critters & THX for sharing!Hope your flight plans work out. Wanted to see Golden Globes on TV, but Fubby has something else on--if he's dozing in the chair, I'll change the channel!

NORFOLK---still down!
Norfolk Cam Message:
Adjustments are still being made to Eagle Cam. The video may be unavailable
at times when the work is in progress. Thanks for your patience.
Sorry you missed your breakfast, Hedgie! My deck is icy slick, too, but it looks like the roads are OK here.
Norma- is your Finney nest refreshing?
DEB!---I enjoy watching them!! --- almost as much as I do the CARDINALS---they seem to glow during these dark cloudy days!!!
there is a 7 hour difference between here and Finland...so yes, Finland is stuck:(
It sure is a slippery Sunday morning out there. But you are all here safe & sound. Lynn I think you made the right decision! I sure don't do ice!
Good Morning!
PAULA---NO!!---I tried that earlier!!
A truck has pulled into to the snowman cam area. Don't know it someone will shovel or fill the feeders...
Paula, do the eagles come to the Seal Rocks nest very often?
I think they are just visitors....sometimes I see on the chat room people wanting to stop by and take a pic
HEDGIE!!---I don't think we have ice here!---The paper girl was here --- much earlier!!---
CHECKED JUST FOR YOU HEDGIE!!--ho!---My DRIVE is dry!!---ICE scares me to death!!---My car is good in snow!

Yes, just like yesterday
Lib was calling out a minute or so ago...but my sound was out...
Darn sound...
Hi ho, Hi ho, off to work I go.
Speaking of work...Margy seems to be having a busy day.
No phone number for highway dept. in book, so I called 911 on non-emergency line to have them get DOH out to salt....but Margy wasn't who answered! BBL.
See our eagles!!!
Lib is really puffed up, must be trying to keep warm
Something made them both turn toward cam at the same time!
Beaking
Think she told him "no"
There went Lib...my feed is really choppy all of a sudden
Lib appears w/ a stick
I'm BACK !
Nice to see these visits several times a day.
Egg well looks deep
Belle took off
yes, it is nice to see them on a more frequent basis:), just think a month from now we will hopefully be looking at eggs:)
That's what I was thinking... very soon there will be eggs! Probably all the nest over here on the east coast
should be incubating in Feb.
Time for my afternoon snooze
BBL
Whoops! holding off for awhile
They are BOTH back in the nest
Good afternoon JO, PAULA, and MITS. Came back just in time to see the two in the nest. What a sight. Can't seem to keep my sound on, tho.
JO I hope you are feeling better and for goodness sake, don't go out in that cold air. You don't need that.
PAULA How was your visit with MOM yesterday? Better, I hope.
It doesn't seem possible that the long waiat is over and there will soon be eggs again in the nest to watch.
BWE also in the nest
Hi Candy - Good to hear from you
I will stay away from the cold!!!
My sound isn't on either
Hanky Panky.
Need Megan to come on and tell us how powerful the wind gust are at the nest
have to keep refreshing to get sound
I had sound yesterday for a long time while I watched. Today, it doesn't stay on long even with a refresh. Then I'm afraid that I will miss the birds actions.
true, sound does not last long on refresh
One of the Caltran eagles is at their nest....... Surprised that the cam came up quickly......
Well he was out on the branch but is gone now...
Maybe if the wind would just stop it would make a difference or have you noticed it doing this through the week when thee was no wind?
I have only noticed the sound being bad today...
poof BWE
Oh My! The Maine nest is snow covered and you can see it is still snowing..........
yeah, Jo, noticed that a little while ago, looks pretty
Thanks for the reply MITS. The poor eagles in Maine don't stand a chance.
Morning everyone ( :
Been watching football then eagles came into nest. So now watching games and our eagles.
Jo stay warm! Also resent you that email.
got to go set up my ailine cams, like to watch when hubby flies...bbialw
they are making some sort of gurgling sounds...
Missed the HP...see Belle is sticking around this time :)
And did it really look like HP or just practice...yesterday it looked like the real deal
I got it Dana & it worked! Thanks
Belle is digging around the egg cup bowl now.
I missed it Paula as I was making a comment Candy was the eye witness!
At times Lib looks like he is going to blow off his perch.
BBILW
Ok, Jo, last gust here was sbout 13 mph- seems windier over there at the nest today.
Lib is gone...
Gotta head out catch ya'll leter
PAULA, Yesterday he would make those gurgling sounds before he hopped on her back. Yes he was on top of her for a time just a few ago.
It looks like Belle is keeping the egg cup warm.
Looks like the wind gust is from about 6 to 14 mph in Shepherdstown
NEW BABY GORILLA BORN AT ZOO, STORY AND VIDEO
Well guess I'll read a little while. I stopped at the library on my way home from school to get some large print books. Still haven't started them yet. Can't wait to see when the eagles stay all night on the nest. I checked in last night around 2:30am when I couldn's sleepand the nest was MT> BBL
we have several more weeks before that will happen, Candy
Wow neat video....I love how she pats the baby.
It is so cool to get on and there is Belle.
Thanks Mits for letting us know about the birth of the gorilla. How great! And the video is really neat!
Lolly did you get the note about your Birthday Card?
poof Belle
Got home from church and going this afternoon to Laurel's. Got a phone call a little while ago. Thought it was Joseph, but it was Jacob. He made his first phone call ever to me! Of course, he was self conscious and talked nonsense. Laurel is preparing dinner and birthday dessert for me, so will not be on this evening.
have a good time, Lolly
Sounds like more birthday fun for you Lolly.
Yes, Dana, I did. I thoroughly enjoyed my card. I received many and it was soooo much fun. Really appreciated them all. Thank you!
I'll have to send that link from the DC zoo baby being born. So SIL can see the baby. She'll love it.
LOL
Deer at snowman cam!
I hear ya, Lolly, do the same here, they work hard and have the 2 little ones, so like to spoil them, when they let me:)

Indiana Nesting Eagles----Dave
Thanks, Dave, I couldn't believe it when I saw the Juvie and the red-tail in a chase. It was fun to watch.
I was just wondering if anyone
has talked to susan lately,I haven't seen her here for a while.
Dave
Saw the piece about the baby gorilla on the news! Really precious, isn't it?
So far, so good with the football games...looks like PA is the BIG winner for the day!!! Bet Philly and Pittsburgh are both rockin'!
Deb, haven't looked at your pics yet, but wanted to wish you a safe and fun trip!!! We'll miss you and your photography!!
Suzanne got a new boss and had to cut out the blog, she is doing fine, but misses being on here with everyone.
I'll be here a little tomorrow yet, Lynn, it depends on the weather. We are supposed to get freezing rain tonight and snow tomorrow, so may head to Omaha earlier than planned.
lots of deer at PA, and even on the remote cam
Did you see the deer with the stick stuck in it's fur? My cam is jumpy tonight.
Deb, the weather in Los Angeles looks great for this week, what a nice break for you:)
Well, @#$#$@#, they just posted a blizzard watch for Sioux Falls tomorrow. I am just in a Winter Weather Advisory, but might experience blizzard like winds and blowing snow. GO NORTH!
Yes, it will be a nice break. I don't think I will be taking my dogs to the kennel in SF tomorrow. I think they may have to go to the vet in Yankton.
Oh, Deb, as always, they are beautiful!
Hi, Sharon!! When is your apptmt. in Charlottesville? Will you have to go by yourself, or will Thelma be able to go with you?
yikes, Deb.....hubby just landed in LA:)
too bad you don't live closer to one of us Deb, we could doggy-sit:)
I wish that was me landing! I fly into John Wayne, though, not LAX. It is only about 15 minutes from my sister's place. (on a no traffic problem trip)
78° in Los Angeles
That would be nice. At least they don't mind the kennel or the vet, they get spoiled every time they go. SF is so much cheaper, but I am not driving up there in bad weather to save some money.
you are a smart lady, Deb;)
70 in Huntington Beach, 26 here. 26 isn't bad, 21 for tonight's low. -3 for tomorrow night, yuck!
Deb, do you have to fly out of SF?? Are you leaving Tues.?
My friend won't even pick up any visitors ar LAX, let alone fly in or out...she does everything thru' John Wayne.
Munchie cravings...ate an early dinner....gotta go find something good! BBL.
I fly out of Omaha at 7 AM on Tuesday morning. I am the designated airport shuffle driver on Thursday, I don't mind as long as I can avoid rush hour.
eagle at CALTRAN
flew in and out at Caltran
Buck at Pix PA.
Finland cam is unstuck, but it is 3 in the morning there
My computer doesn't like Caltrans, it freezes everything and then shuts down everything.
mine doesn't like it very much either.....that is one big boy at PA
Been reading you two..... Glad hubby has landed! You'll be the next one, Deb! I viewed your pics and they are great - can't believe you caught the red tailed and juvie together..
Going to watch Cold Case this evening at 9...
Now that Pittsburgh won, they'll play Ravens. I like them both!!!Help! Guess whichever one wins, I'll root for them in Super Bowl!
Deb, great pics. You are so fortunate to be able to see all these critters & THX for sharing!Hope your flight plans work out.
Wanted to see Golden Globes on TV, but Fubby has something else on--if he's dozing in the chair, I'll change the channel!
good Cold Case tonight:)
DEB.......AWESOME PICS:)
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE:)
Well, alas and alack, the Chargers just didn't have enough offense today, and the Steelers made them pay.
The Super Bowl could conceivably be played by two PA teams...that would be a little eerie.
**GOOD NIGHT**
**EVERYONE**
C(°Ù¿°)D
Jim
Good night, fowl friends. Talk with you tomorrow. Peace and prayers.
Cold Case was good...

Well, we get home from Denton and everyone is signing off. I'll just say we had a very enjoyable evening. My grandboys are "grander" then ever! Laurel fixed a very special dinner and cherry cheesecake pie. Yum! Theyn stuck 3 candles in it and sang HB in German, at least they told me that was what they sang. The tune was correct. The boys turned out all the lights for special affects. Now my birthdy is offically over. LOL
Nite all! Sweet dreams!
Well, I am just getting home...and there is one Sea Eagle at Finney's right now.
The moon tonight, was soooooo bright, really nice to see it.
I know probably everyone is snoozin', and I won't be far behind, already had a nap at the Grandson's .

Hedgie: I was out of the room getting coffee when you called ! I saw immediately that you had, and we did call DOH - they were headed out that way, but might have gotten diverted to another place over in Jones Spring where Hedgesville VFD was, on an accident call. Bummer, your Bill Date got canceled ! :(
xo
Sea Eagle left, not long after I posted that it was there...
Deb - Ditto on everything everyone else said about you! Prayers that the weather will cooperate with your travel plans.
I'm treating myself to no alarm clock in the morning and plan on sleeping in, even at the risk of missing an early morning Eagle visit.
Paula, Great Video clips ... Thanks!
